We booked a room thru this company at the Sunset Fisherman Resort & Spa in the Riviera Maya, MX from January 18th thru Jan 23rd. We received their e-mail confirmation on 8-18-06. We agreed to attend a time share presentation which we did.
Our Delta flight was late arriving into Atlanta from Orlando on 1-23-06 due to heavy fog in Atlanta all day. We still would have made our connection if we had not arrived in Terminal A and the flight to Mexico went out of gate E at the opposite end of the airport. Of course, the flight to Cancun went out exactly on time. I immediately called TravelComm (spoke to Suzanne) to let her know exactly what happened and to tell her that we would be arriving on the first Delta flight the next morning. She said that we would have to pay an additional $200 for not arriving on 1-23-07. If I didn't pay it our reservation would be cancelled and we would lose all of our money. I said that this and TravelComm is a rip-off and they are a scam. I asked her "what would have happened if I never called and showed up the next day?" She said the reservation would have been cancelled and there would not have been a room for us. While we were there we discovered that TravelComm is a time share reseller and over books this property all the time. I now realize that is true because the week before we left on this trip we were offered $200 in coupons if we would switch to another resort. There is much more, but I don't have the time right now.
