Available evidence suggests that in the period 13 August 2009 to 12 November 2009 the company had a turnover of at least £11, 300, 025.

On 08 September 2009 the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills authorised officers of Companies Investigation Branch to investigate the affairs of the company in accordance with powers conferred by Part XIV of the Companies Act 1985. Following the conclusion of this investigation the Secretary of State filed a petition on 27 January 2010 to have the company wound up in the public interest. The grounds for seeking to have the company wound up are: -

(1) The company traded contrary to the public interest in that: -

(a) Its business is dependent upon website offers that are either misleading or contain partial and incomplete information and which are designed to and do mislead potential customers.

(b) Terms and conditions of the company’s offers are not supplied to the customer in a durable medium and are only accessible via another web page.
(c) Customers are pressurised into ordering product and effectively entering into an ongoing contract if they fail to cancel. Furthermore customers have experienced difficulty in cancelling.

(2) Lack of transparency: The Secretary of State has been unable to establish the true identity of those in control of the company.

(3) Failure to co-operate with the investigation.

(4) Failure to maintain adequate accounting records.

On 05 February 2010 the court appointed the Official Receiver as provisional liquidator of the company.

The petition to wind up the company shall be heard in the Manchester District Registry on 09 April 2010.

Please direct all enquiries regarding the company's affairs to the Official Receiver at piu.[protected]@insolvency.gsi.gov.uk

Hi

I have also been scammed by Trading Planet Limited. I ordered a "free" trial of life cleanse and acai berry detox on 15th October. The products were never confirmed by email nor did I receive any products in the post. I was conscious of the time not receiving these "trial" products, however I thought that perhaps they were being shipped from the USA and with the postal strike may have got delayed.

Today I have received my credit card bill and I have been charged £178 for two products. I phoned the telephone number [protected] on a posting on this site and cancelled the "subscription", however I said that I haven't received any products "trial" or otherwise since I placed the order. I was given 2 cancellation references and the adviser has put an email to the distributor stating I never received the trial product, she kept mentioning that I ordered on the 15th and it was "shipped" on the 17th. Even Royal Mail isn't 3 weeks late with their deliveries! The adviser stated I wouldn't be charged for any more products, I should receive a reply by email within 72 hours, however she couldn't confirm officially that I would get a refund of the monies already take (she did say unofficially that recently many people have received refunds). I have notified my credit card company, they gave me a phone number for disputed charges but stressed that I should wait until the company responds.

I am an ex Local Billing Limited employee, the owners of www.acaiberryexclusive.com, www.acaiberry-lifecleanse.com, www.absoluteacaiberry.com and another sites with these fake diet products (colon cleanser, acai berry, resveratrol). They are operating using various companies: Viv3Labs for Europe, FMW Laboratories for US And, lately, to avoid the problems caused by the scam using Viv3Labs, they are using Trading Planet Ltd for Europe and Information Tech Systems LTd for US. Also, they are using PurpleSky LTD at Cyprus for Europe. Lately, they are using some companies opened to process credit cards for the porn industry (LB Pride Studios, LB Envision Net Worldwide, etc.- all of them are Local Billing Companies – LB stats for LB).
The business model is to offer a FREE SAMPLE, only charging you the postage (this is an excuse to get your credit card number) and, then, due to HIDDEN Terms and Conditions, charge people incredible amounts of money for pills and nutraceuticals (in some cases more than 80€ /bottle), which in any retail place cost less than 6 US$ per bottle. This business model is, basically, A SCAM.
The owners of those sites are Deepak Argwal (http://www.ccap.ph/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=106:deepak-agarwal&catid=76:hot-topic, who, apart from this business –contactcenter, legal-, is running more than 2.000 Porn Sites –see DeeCash.com-), Clay Douglass (http://www.linkedin.com/in/claydouglass) and Mitch Platt (http://www.linkedin.com/pub/mitch-platt/4/271/878).
It is easy to find them through the information that appears on the site registration of www.acaiberryexclusive.com.
Now, they discovered this hole on their ability to remain hidden and are registering the new sites using a Marketing company located in the US, Moniker OnLine Services

Another evidence that Local Billing is behind those companies is consulting the impressun of the web pages (for example www.absoluteacaiberry.com, http://www.absoluteacaiberry.com/frontend/join/impressum/site/4349#utm_source=az&utm_medium=16935&utm_term=none&utm_content=Absolute+AcaiBerry) and seeing that is a Local Billing company behind them:
Impressum:
LB Pegasus Limited
29 Wordsworth Gardens
Dipton
Stanley
Co Durham
DH9 9LG
United Kingdom
+[protected]

LB is for Local Billing….
And also resveratrol product site, www.winedetox.com, the impressum of the page (http://www.winedetox.com/frontend/join/impressum/site/4347#utm_source=cx-es&utm_medium=31922&utm_term=resveratrol&utm_content=ResVmax) is the following:
Impressum:
Trading Planet LTd.
56 Thorton Close
Pelton
Chester Le Street
Co Durham
DH2 1QH
United Kingdom

Also, they are using a company called Phytoscience, located in the same address than viv3, to make the handling and the postal distribution of the products. The manager of Phytoscience is called Chris Swanson and his email is chris@phytoscience.co.uk.
Other addresses to find those sca...ers:
Local Billing Ltd, Pau Claris, 100, 08009 Barcelona, Spain (they are operating from here under the name Tucana Corona, it is an useful contact for the police)
dee@contactcenter.com
clay.douglass@localbillinglimited.com

Hello

UPDATE FROM PREVIOUS POST...

Well after 10 days I have finally got the reply that I wanted. I have had an email stating that I a refund has been credited to my account and will be shown on my account in 5 days.

At last!

Persistency is the key, I have emailed customer support 6 times and yesterday the reply said they would credit only 1 charge but I replied again and they have agreed to refund both charges.

KEEP GOING TO GET YOUR MONIES REFUNDED - FINGERS CROSSED THAT YOU WILL SUCCESSFULLY GET REFUNDS TOO.
