Toyota service damage

Customer #762360
I have a 2010 Toyota Camry. I purchased this used car 2 years ago and have had no problems with this car whatsoever. It was purchased from a non-Toyota used car dealer.. On 4-12-18 I took my car to Firestone of Marietta GA for a routine synthetic oil change blend and due to an error by the Firestone technician there was an immediate oil leak to my Camry. I took the Camry back to the Firestone 24hrs later (it had to be towed there) as it had stopped on me numerous times on the interstate the evening coming home from work after my oil change. By Friday a.m. (4-13-18) Firestone said I had possible engine damage.
I received a call from Firestone Claims Advisor on 4-16-18 and they said they were assuming all liability and wanted to know where I wanted my car to go to for repairs. Although I'd never used the Toyota of Marietta dealership (750 Cobb Pkwy, Marietta GA) I asked that my Camry be sent there for diagnosis and repair.
After being towed to your Toyota dealer it was initially determined that there was no engine damage. I went to dealership on 4-19-18 and drove the car (test drive) and immediately heard the same noise coming from the engine. I told the Service Manager Steve Hanna to ride with me in parking lot so that he could hear the noise. He stated that he heard the noise and he apologized and would have his technicians to re-check my Camry. At the time, Mr. Hanna stated that their Master Technician had even looked at my engine and he found no damage and that the techs had driven my car and there was no noise.
On 4-20-18, Mr. Hanna called me that a.m. to state he apologized as there was some engine damage after he and his techs proceeded to drive my car the previous afternoon (4-19-18 after I left the dealership) and they both heard the noise and it also began to worsen as they drove the car. He also informed me that he sent 3 quotes to Firestone/Bridgestone to address for a new, rebuilt and a used Toyota engine. Firestone agreed to replace the engine with a used engine chosen by Marietta Toyota service technician/manager. The engine reportedly arrived on 4-24-18 and was completely ready for pick up 24 hrs later (4-25-18) per phone call from Mr. Hanna. He stated that Toyota could not release the car to me until they had payment from Firestone/Bridgestone-claim #2301310.
Payment was finally received by Marietta Toyota on 5-4-18. At that time Mr Hanna called me and said the Camry was ready for me to take possession of and that the engine was installed and the Toyota techs drove the vehicle for 30 miles and there was no problem noted at all.
I picked the car up at the Marietta Toyota location on 5/5/18 and drove it a few miles. When I stopped at the stop sign the car did a slight jerk when I braked. I proceeded to drive a few more miles and the engine was great but once I stopped at a red light (3-4 lights) the car started to jerk each time as if it was having difficulty changing gears. I reached my destination and parked my car. Once I got back into my car to put it in reverse from the parking space the car would not go in reverse. I tried this several times with no success. I called the Marietta Toyota dealership and was sent to Svc Manager voicemail (Ashley). I then called my personal auto insurance and asked for a tow back to your dealership. Ashley, Toyota Svc Manager called me back and apologized for inconvenience. She put me in a Toyota rental and said the foreman would check my car out on Monday a.m. (5/7/18).
I received a call from Mr. Hanna around lunchtime today stating the following:
1. Toyota changed the transmission fluid (was not ever discussed w/me)
2. There was severe internal transmission issues
I then asked how and if it had anything to do with the fact they put in another engine and he said no. He stated he could get prices on a used transmission which would be around $2-$3K but that it was my responsibility to cover the cost because Toyota was not responsible for any transmission issue.
I TOTALLY disagree with this! My car had absolutely NO transmission or any other issue prior to Firestone's oil damage and now Toyota placing a used 83, 000 mile engine in the car. It had sat on your lot for almost 3 weeks and I made a simple 16 mile drive after it was reportedly checked out as "ready" and had immediate transmission issues? Not acceptable at all!
Furthermore, I asked Mr. Hanna shortly after 4-25-18 if they had checked my transmission fluid as it was recommended to me by another mechanic that if the engine was being replaced to make sure the transmission fluid was checked. At that time Mr, hanna's response to me was: "all your fluids are fine, no problems there". He also documented on invoice "all fluids full".
There have been 2 times that I was told information by your Svc Mgr that now have proven not to add up whatsoever.
The transmission for whatever reason was damaged while under your service and care in replacing the engine. This is a Toyota problem and I am asking and expecting for Toyota to own up to their mistake and take responsibility to repair my transmission and have my vehicle back to its original working condition. This is only right! I can be reached via email [protected]@gmail.com or [protected].

Toyota toyota cebu reclamation branch, philippines, service complaint

Dear Toyota Cebu Philippines,

We Mr & Mrs. Joy & Juditha B. Talisic, Writing a complaint letter about recently bought Toyota Hilux Revo MT-E, We bought the pick - up by bank loan last November 2016, 9 months after we experience having noise underneath in the back cargo, We went to toyota for check-up they say schedule after 3 days, then we back in 3 days we have to wait another 3-1week days for result and warranty approval, by then took 13 days approved by warranty by testing drive and approved, from the approval period another schedule 3 weeks to 1 month schedule. "Toyota Cebu north service said... Mam, we have to order parts from japan if you need quick we charge P3500+... we told, no coz it's under warranty.

After another month of waiting coz we don't have budget to pay the the quick, they called that the unit has been fixed and ready to pick up. so we are happy coz we used the pick up for our children going to school daily and some important usage….

Few months after in first week of March 2018, same sounds came back and we have to go for another car check up, Toyota service say… we have to schedule it, took two weeks to get approval. then they order the Spare parts, after a week time in the last week of March they called us saying … the spare parts they have ordered came wrong, we went to Toyota Cebu North Reclamation area to clarify the situation they say, take back the car while waiting the spare parts in Japan for another month, they said again" Madam, if if you need quicker we will charge P3500+ minimum for freight" we decided NO coz it's under warranty and we don't have enough budget.

Heres the Schedule Below in 2018:

• March 1st week complaint - Engine gear sounds underneath
• March 2nd week - Warranty test schedule
• March 3rd week - Spare parts came wrong
• April 1st week - Spare parts re-order to japan in a month time
• April End - Toyota service called no spare parts available
• May 04 - Toyota called to deposit the unit for repair
• May 07 - Toyota called the spare parts came wrong

Please, we choose Toyota for quality, availability of parts and good service, imagine how we compromise just get the car fixed and just saying these to your customer back and fort. Please Management take action because your sales department maybe they just focusing sales to get money charges from the poor people like us.

My unit is under warranty if this unit has factory defect issues, please provide good service and action, or replacement.

Sincerely,

Mr. & Mrs Joy and Juditha B Talisic

Toyota untimely recalls of 2010 lexus hs250 hybrid

Car Narrative
5/3/2018
Due to the lack of being able to work because of not having dependable transportation, I was forced to move in with family here in Rockledge on 11/2017. I paid to freight the subject vehicle here as I knew it would not safe to drive it this far,
On 8/18/2016, I purchased a 2010 Lexus HS250h from Enterprise Car Sales on Glenwood Ave in Raleigh NC for $15, 000.00. They made all types of claims about the reliability of the car as I informed them it was imperative. Also, I made most of savings, $5000.00 as a down payment as they handed me their 120 point inspection. I also purchased a Drive Train Warranty and Tire and Wheels Warranty. Approximately 3-6 months afterwards I begin having problems. I stalled in traffic, the engine would shut down while the car was traveling high speed and I never knew when it was going to cut off on me in the middle of traffic. I had originally purchased this car to return to work after getting my master's degree, so I invested $5000.00, most of my savings into this car. Well it is 1 and a half years later and I have never felt safe enough to drive this car out of state or more that 200 miles round trip.
There's been two recalls on this car since I purchased it. And I was never notified of any of them. When I heard about the recall on the drivetrain the car had been towed into the shop for the third time. I trust this mechanic and his final diagnosis was that the engine was dead and there was a recall on the drivetrain. Lexus insisted that I tow it once again to their dealer and after the dealer supposedly repaired to recall he informs me that the car has a dead battery and will not start without my purchasing a $400 dollars battery. They have also informed me that if I don't pay for the battery that they cannot do the test they need to do to possibly replace the engine.
At first Lexus gave me the impression that they were going to help me replace the $7, 000 engine but now they tell me they will not. Now I'm stuck with a $14, 000.00 debt on a vehicle that cannot even take me back and forward to work for me to pay for. The damages caused by driving the car for over 8 years with a bad drive train are horrendous. According to their own recall notice. This manufacturing flaw occurred when the car was originally built and left unrepaired, can caused excessive wear and damage other components of the drive train, which includes the engine, transmission, axles, etc. I also am receiving conflicting information about which of the 7 (seven) total recalls of this model vehicle have actually been completed.
But I guess it won't matter in a while because due to the cost of repairs and my not having a way to get to a job, the car will be repossess, with a $14, 000 deficit judgement against me. Lexus makes all these grandiose claims about how they work with their customers and they love their customers and how they bend over backwards to help their customers. All their niceness has done nothing to actually help me save this car and my credit or who knows, the lender may very well take me to court for this much money. Maybe legal aid can help because it's impossible for a small consumer like myself, to go up against a huge billion dollar company like Toyota, alone. This car has ruined my life and I don't feel there is anything I can do. Incidentally, the car is now worth, in excellent condition $7000.00. Reduced by 50% after one year of ownership.
I do not make this statement likely. But, what's happened to me can happen to any consumer. I believe they orchestrated the entire process once the car was in the Lexus dealer's hands, I lost total control, and they knew it. Now, they can just junk the car and all the debt falls on me with no responsibility falling on Toyota or Lexus.

Toyota customer service contact

I recently purchased a new 2017 highlander less than 30 days ago from a military auto sales in italy. Since the time of purchasing, my car has shut off while driving, malfunctioned into the anti theft, and reset all settings throughout vehicle. I contacted the dealership about this issue, and they have not fixed this issue. I have attempted to contact toyota directly with no luck. The contact information for the us is incorrect. I have written 2 emails and have not heard anything back. According to the consumer act 2015, the dealership is allowed 1 chance to fix this issue, if this issue is not fixed; then I am entitled to a full refund of this vehicle. This is the best option for me because this vehicle is proving to be very unsafe and toyota is showing a lack of respect for its customers.

Toyota battery warranty

My Toyota Camry battery was under a 7 years warranty, I was told because that was in 2013 and now we are in 2018 which is only five years that for some reason they could only cover 25 percent, being told a price over the phone by a guy named Shelby of 80 something dollars I rushed over and brought my car in, after waiting 2 hours for my car I was brought a receipt for 120 and I was misled over the phone, about the price the guy argued with me and I know what he told me the conversation may be recorded so I would like them replayed! Asked for the manager he came a man named Brett was very ruined and showed no remorse what so ever and I had to wait for them to take the new battery out and apply my old one! I am upset and I had to go to another place to get a battery! I have owned 3 Toyota's and I have never been treated this way nor had any problems!

Toyota my lexus ls460l / 2012

Dear Sir / Madam,
Greetings,

The below email is the fifth was sent to Ibrahim Khalil Kanoo company - Lexus agent in Bahrain. Unfortunately, I did not find any response from them and after (3) international phone calls from Saudi Arabia, finally a lady answered me, and I explained my request to her then she told me that she will talk to Mr. Rine and will get back to me and after long time I contacted her again, and she told me that Mr. Rine refused to give me The report until he sees the car and the driver's license to make sure in Bahrain, very strange, I told her that it's not easy to travel from Saudi Arabia to Bahrain especially for this reason for 30 minutes and go back to my country .

In general, my request to get full report because of my strong desire to complete the regular service in Lexus agent in Saudi Arabia after my coordination with them, I have informed that there is no record belong to my car because the previous service was done in Bahrain.

I ask the distinguished Lexus official in your company to direct Lexus agent in Bahrain to provide me asap with the report, especially as what was done from them was not supposed to be done by an upscale company like yours. I am very surprised by the deal from the Lexus dealer in Bahrain .

Thank you & b. rgrds.

However, to start doing so, I would like to confirm whether the gearbox transmission oil was changed or not in order decide to have it changed in next maintenance or not as I don't have a copy of the car's previous records.

Therefore, your kind reply with attached full reports for the mentioned car is highly appreciated,

Toyota customer service or support area

I called [protected] since 2/26 for a change in payment date. I was told I was not able to change my payment due 3/3/18 as it was too close to the date when I received my payment letter a few days prior. Even though I had a problem with that, I couldn't understand match was not going to happen but everything should be all set for the 4/28/18 payment, when my husband/co-signer receives a call that my payment is late! I call Toyota financial not once but twice because the rep I spoke to could not do her job. Cintiria Rose Rep ID 4369192 places me on hold for 15 minutes and I can hear her coming back on the line several times, to tell me a manager was not available and she was transferring me to the resolutions department. Since it's not my 1st hang up when calling Toyota I asked for the phone number to this department in case we get disconnected. Cintiria informed me this department did not have a telephone number and I can dial the number I dialed to contact her for a transfer. When I asked her for her last name she informed me she was not allowed to provide me with that information. I asked her manager's name and she informed me her name was Paula no last name no ID number. I called back spoke to another rep that confirmed all of this was incorrect, I was provided with Cintiria's last name and informed there was no manager by the name of Paula but that Cintiria Rose was staff. All I wanted was a payment date change please pull my calls from 2/26/2018 as I made several calls before I lost it. I filed incident # [protected] for Cintiria was advised I would get a call in 3 business days and since to date I haven't I have taken it to social media. Instagram and Facebook to no avail! I have not been contacted by Toyota financial for my complaint and dissatisfaction, my payment date has not been changed since 2/26/18 initial request date but I did receive a survey for rating my customer service?! I gave credit where it was due and also submitted my complaint number along with details and nothing. I have never received such horrible customer service from such an enormous corporation! I been leasing since 2015 and my husband for years prior for personal and for his business. Don't treat your customers like [censored] and retrain your customer service. With this I file a formal complaint and expect a formal acknowledgment of such.

Toyota used car purchased from toyota lot

I purchased a 2011 mini cooper from herrin gear toyota i55 north jackson, ms
04/03/2018 I brought the used car home one day drove to work and noticed a ticking noise and oil spilling from vehicle and it smoked bad. I took the car back to the service department 04/04/2018 and have yet received the car back with continued run around. I have spoken with robert evaro sales manager and my mother has as well and he insist that the car was communicated to me as sold as is and I have nothing in my possession that I signed to state that. I have the papers given to me at the time of purchase and notice I do not even have a proper bill of sale. My concern is growing strongly daily because I financed this car that was placed on a sales lot that was never in a good working condition to sale to anyone to start with. I even have documentation on each time ive called to ask about status of the car and what was told to me. My mother has gone to the lot to speak with finance manager and sale manager as well. After contacting the repair shop that robert evaro told us the car was at my concerns grow even larger! And I am being told two different stories about the real issues with the car which further lets me know this car has way to many issues to be placed on a car lot it should have just been auctioned off with all the problems it has. I am reaching out to toyota corporation for assistance with product sold from your brand establishment and if forced will contact the better business bureau and escalade it as high as possible if necessary because I feel i'm being taken advantage of. I will say that robert evaro offered me a loaner car until they resolve the issue but that is not my concern. The attitude is far from professional when I call in my calls may or may not be returned with proper updates. I want to be reassured that the car I purchased from the toyota used car lot which should have standards and checks before being placed out on lots is properly repaired not patched up because again I would not have purchased anything not in a working condition and according to the two different feedbacks i'm receiving about what's I needed to bring attention to what is being done from this car lot. Herrin-gear toyota 6100 i-55 north jackson, ms [protected]
The end result I want to be assured is that the proper repairs are handled not patched over. Please contact me if you need the papers that was sign that's in my possession also any other information needed. I will also contact the bbb to file a complaint if necessary to protect myself and others in the future.

The service advisor at the time (khanita stated that an actuator needs to to be replaced and she will order one. I left numerous messages and no one called back. Today I called (23-04) the service advisor says she no longer works there. There is nothing on order for my vehicle.

Toyota navigation system

I purchased a 2018 Highlander in Feb. 2018. The first out of town trip we made was to see our grandchildren in Celina, TX. I attempted to put their address in the car's navigation system (3513 Springbell, St., Celina, TX) and it did not recognize it. Since Celina and Prosper, TX are adjacent to each other, I tried putting the street in Prosper. Again, it was not recognized. They have lived on this street since mid-2016 and there are other families on this street who have lived there since 2015. I have a small portable TomTom GPS that I take when we go anywhere in our 2012 Tundra, and the first time I put the Celina address in, it took us directly to that location.

The service department at Classic Toyota in Tyler checked and said we have the latest GPS card (which came out in Nov. 2017). I called the Sales Manager and ask if he can arrange for us to get the next update 'at no charge.' He immediately said they cannot do that. He said they have no control over the updates. I understood that; however, why can't they give us the next update at no charge. He made it plain they will not do that.

If this one street is 'not' on the latest updated GPS card, how many others are not there? It appears whoever Toyota is contracted with to provide these updated GPS cards is not providing the most recent available information. The updates are out there, but apparently they are not getting them to the Toyota owners (unless this is 'intentional' to get Toyota owners to "PAY" for an update).

I bought a 2016 Toyota corolla early this year and not even 2 months later the check engine light comes on I took it to the dealership I bought it from and they said they were going to fix it so I left it there for 4 days and on Friday when I went back they told me the car was messed up and that I needed to buy a new car not a car of the same year and model. but when I went back they told me it was just a loose gas cap, i'm really frustrated with this company I will never buy another Toyota again.

Toyota 2017 camry

Customer started car, charge light was on in dash, shifted into reverse and car lunged foward, turned car off, restarted vehicle charge light stayed on. Vehicle was shifted into reverse and vehicle still moved foward.
Turned car off a third time. Charge light turned off and transmission functioned properly, took to dealer could not duplicate. Basically told client its their problem unless can prove there's a problem. I advised my customer they shouldn't wait until someone gets hurt to resolve this problem, hopefully it's just a computer reflash. My clients are dusty and eric trevino kingsburg california please help them before someone gets help

Toyota service (lack of it)

Took my Tundra in for frame inspection and coating. The next day the dealer said it would not be done in the time originally promised. The mechanic (will not use tech) had to leave (2018 and a Toyota dealer only has one mechanic trained to do this! Really!) When I picked up my truck there was over-spray on the running boards and a crusty finish on the windshield that required extensive cleaning with chemical soaked rags as well as a clay bar to clean the painted surfaces. Oh you say"I should have taken my vehicle back". These knuckleheads could not do the coating right how can I trust them to clean the over-spay off. This TOYOTA dealership will NEVER see my vehicle again. Driving 30 to 40 miles will be a small price to pay. Had trouble with local dealership b/4 when it was under a different name. (Same old thinking) Screw me once shame on you-screw me twice shame on me!
