Toyota car sales

Buyer beware. Do your research before buying and compare to other dealers you will see why. Tried to put a relative in a car that was almost 3 years old with 40k miles on it. Was selling the car for almost 40% more than it was worth. With all these added on items. Was able to get my relative in a brand new car with half of the interest and for less than what they originally gave them.

Toyota 2013 rav4

This vehicle was purchased used in 2015. Was no indication there was a problem with the paint until a year later and paint starting peeling in various places on vehicle. Checked with 2 professional car painting companies and was told the car was NEVER properly primered from the factory.

The first paint peel was on the door. I finally had to pay to have this situation remedied as it was a terrible eyesore. After having this door painted, several other places started to appear and peeling is now out of hand

This car is a rolling joke. I can't begin to tell you the inquiries I have had over the past two years. It certainly has reflected a poor quality product that Toyota has produced.

I feel this vehicle had a problem when it rolled off the assembly line but did not show the poor quality until it had a couple of years wear. I was the unfortunate victim, having purchased it. I am asking for Toyota to look into this issue and make this right. I have had several Toyota products but this will definitely be the last, I'd i have to lose money by having this problem fixed.

I am attaching photos of the problem areas. Please call me to discuss this situation as soon as possible.

Toyota sales service

I am currently looking to purchase a Toyota Hilux.
There are several items that are not available on the top-spec vehicle (which i would consider almost standard in this era).
The local dealer has tole me that they cannot add any accessory that is not sold as part of the vehicle (they nasically told me thay cannot do anything that involves electrical systems -including changing the stereo unit).

The country agent (TAM) is also unhelpful -returning a similar prewritten line that they only sell vehicles of Indoensian Specifications. The fact that i have received the same response multiple times indicates that this is a common request.

I have asked 5 times to speak to a manager of TAM -however I am still waiting.

Toyota damaged car battery service and no support provided

Date: Aug 9, 2018
Customer No. 311994
During normal maintenance service to Toyota Beaverton(OREGON), i asked to clean some corrosion accumulating over battery. The advisory (Christ Scott) suggested to opt of Battery Service. After completed battery service when car was handed over, it did not start.
Advisor jump started it and asked to keep it ON for 10-15 min. After driving 20 min and restarting, CAR did not started, and need jump start again.
Called service center, and it was told to me, service center is closed.
Called service center next day, it was told to me to bring the car back to service station. I told the car cannot be started.
No help is provided, No towing was offered.
When i bring the car back to service station on my own arrangement, i was told to install and pay for new battery.
My battery was in good condition before being given for Battery Service, I need to pay for new battery and was not able to drive and use Car for my own use as it was rendered unoperational.

Toyota poor customer service

Greetings

I have a major complaint about very poor customer service provided by Toyota's official dealerships in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.
I am a big fan of Toyota cars, and in the last three years i purchased three Toyotas.
The above mentioned dealerships do not show much care and attention to prospective buyers. I am currently looking for a top trim Toyota Prado 4.0 liter, i have money to buy but none of the dealerships have done anything to help me with the purchase.

I cant understand how such a Great Brand as Toyota be represented by dealerships with such a low customer service.

Your intervention at a corporate level is requested, please.

Toyota service department at toyota of orange, california

I took my 2011 wheelchair equipped van in yesterday(8/14/18) to have the recall airbag replaced. Yesterday was the 3rd time within approximately 1 year of attempting to have the service completed. The 2 previous times the problem was they didn't have the proper airbag and the other was the airbag was defective and we weren't able to keep the van at the dealership any longer that day to have another installation. The service technician was told we needed the van by 2pm to pick up my disabled daughter but the van was not ready until 3pm(I arrived at 2pm without a phone call saying it was ready).

Secondly, I made yesterday's appointment thru a postcard sent to me by Toyota regarding the airbag safety recall and they made the appointment at Toyota of Orange and told me it would take 1 hour to replace the airbag. The service technician said I authorized an oil change and tire rotation at the time I made the appointment, I told him not to do it as I didn't authorize it and my oil was recently changed. He wanted to know how long ago the oil service was done.

Thirdly, when I picked up the van, he made an off handed remark that the van had moldy air conditioner filters and the fuel injectors needed servicing. Nowhere on the final paperwork given to me under the multi-point inspection does it mention these problems.

Toyota a service I get and a problem with the car

Hello,

This is Abdullelah Alshammary from Tabuk, Saudi Arabia. I have 2015 Toyota Fortuner with 50, 000 Km, VIN number MHFYU59GXF7047982.
I have noticed the car is imbalanced, and when I went to the agent they refuse to fix it. they told me that they contact you to find a solution, but I didn't receive any response. My car had been in the service for one month and in the end, they told me to come and pick it up or they will charge me for any extra days.
My car is under the agent Abdul Latif Jameel warranty for 100, 000 Km.

I have a complaint and a claim against them, and I have a case that will be processed in the court soon. However, because I want to keep my relation with Toyota, I prefer to solve the problem with the mother company "Toyota itself".

Thank you.

Best regards,
Abdullelah Khalf Alshammary.

With 150K, I would not complain. Years ago, that was considered normal for new cars. Parts do wear.

Toyota 2018 toyota camry

Three weeks ago, I purchased a brand new 2018 Toyota Camry from Folsom Lake Toyota. This is my third car from them so just like always, I trusted them because of the past experience I had with them. I went into the dealership and asked them if I had the car I was looking for; and they did. Simply, I signed the paper work and didn't even bother test driving or seeing the car because I trusted them. I jumped in the car and drove home. As soon as I got home, I walked around the car and noticed the front bumper has dents and scratches. The passenger headlight was also scratched and damaged. I called the dealership instantly and after a few phone calls, they told me one of their employees had hit the car against another car. So, the dealership new the car was damaged and still sold me the car as a new one. Took the car back a few days later to get it fixed. I was told it would take a couple days but it took them more than a week. Went back to the dealership to pickup the car and all they had done was re-paint the bumper. I told them about the headlight still being damaged and they told me it was normal. The same night, as I was driving, I noticed the passenger headlight's beam was lower than the other. A few days later, I took the car back for the second time for them to fix the headlight. Now, just yesterday, I was driving in the city for about 2 hours and started noticing the breaks squeaking.

This is absolutely unacceptable and a complete inconvenience. I have my own business at the mall and I work 7 days a week, 11 hours a day. I don't have time to constantly be taking this car back to them so they can keep on fixing it. ITS A NEW CAR. I bought a new car so I don't have issues but this car has been worst than a used car. Im nothing near happy with this purchase and I feel like I have only been screwed. I don't want this car anymore.

Toyota toyota camry 2007 oil consumption problem

Hello,

I have a 2007 Camry 4 cylinder, automatic transmission. My car has 114K miles. The engine blew and the toyota dealer service informed me this was due to low oil. I maintain my oil and have had it changed every 3K (and have service records). There is a lot online about oil consumption and the dealer also mentioned this issue. I would like a refund for my repair and am also wondering how this will be address with the new engine I have replaced the engine with- another 2007 camry engine.

Please let me know how you will handle this.

Best,
Marcus Artigliere

Toyota collection of car

Dear Sir,
Recently, I have made a purchase of a car Toyota Vios in Malaysia and the car registration was done on 31/07/2018 but up to the date 07/08/2018 I still haven't receive my car. On 06/08/2018 at 15:00pm and also 17:00pm, I have send in a complain by email to the customer service at Malaysia Toyota website requesting for an explanation on this matter, but up to 07/08/2018 at 14:00 there isn't any response back from them which I have no choice but to call the customer service directly and inform them about this matter. Later at about 17:00pm the customer service call back to me and giving me the explanation that is very unacceptable which is the sales person is busy handling with a few cars to be delivered to customers. I have then requested the customer service to inform this matter to the upper management so that they are aware of this matter but I am not sure whether they did it or not as I know that if this kind of matter can be settled by them then this case will be closed and up to date I haven't heard anything from Malaysia Toyota Headquarter. I can understand that maybe there are many cars to be delivered to customers at that moment but does it take a weeks to do it and I didn't even receive a single phone call informing me that when my car is ready for collection or making arrangement. I think if I don't complain and call up to customer service, I think I can only collect my car by another few days. If you were in my position, what will you think about this, can you accept this kind of explanation? What kind of services is Toyota providing... where customer need to call up and check on the car. I hope to hear back from you soon regarding on this matter. Thank you.

Toyota 2012 camry se limited, driver door window

I bought this car new in February, 2013. I have since driven this car approximately 190k miles in the last 5 1/2 years. Just this last Monday (July 30, 2018), I rolled the window down and noticed that the back of the window did not roll down flush with the door jamb. In rolling the window up and down a couple more times, the problem got worse, to the point the window was at a significant angle in comparison to the door. I was able to push the window down to flat (even), so I assumed the window had come loose from the window tray (or whatever you call it). I used the button to put the window up and intended to leave it up until I could get it worked on. The next day, Tuesday, July 31st, I called around to see who might be able to fix this and on the way home from work, accidentally and out of habit, rolled down the window. The window rolled down, this time coming out of the guide channels (front and back of the door), at an angle to the door AND the window channel. The window button would only AUTO up if used, but the window was not in the window channel and it would start to come out at an angle... I thought that might break the window and I would hit the window button again to either stop it or cause it to go down. As it was 10 o'clock at night and there was no one around to help me, I wrestled the window back into the channel and into the up position. I then used the switch to bring the mechanism into (what I thought was), the up position, but I could tell that friction alone was holding the window up. The next morning, the window had slid down perhaps an inch and using the switch to push the window "up" did nothing. From the sound I could hear, it thought it was "up." That's when things got bad. Thinking I could maybe make it to work, driving on the freeway, the window started to come down on its own independent of the switch/regulator/assembly, and in attempting to use the switch to make the window go up, it started to go down and again pulled the window out of the normal plain of the window (angled). I got it stopped and drove directly to Toyota of Santa Maria. After an inspection by your technician, I was informed that "I" had bent the regulator/assembly and the entire window and assembly was going to need to be replaced for around $900! What a crappy design you came up with that after 5 1/2 years the window assembly completely fails, and in doing so it implodes on itself requiring a complete replacement of window, regulator, motor, assembly, whatever! And then on top of that, your dealership is going to charge me an exorbitant rate for parts and service! In looking online, I can find the parts for roughly $400-500, so that means they're going to charge me $400-500 for labor for a job that will probably take the an hour!
This is the kind of crap that makes people not trust corporations in general and car dealerships specifically! You should be ashamed of yourselves, building designed obsolescence into your products! I have a 25 year old Honda Accord wagon with over 442, 000 miles on it. Yes, I have to do maintenance on that car and switches have gone out and regulators or actuators have had to be replaced (and they put those actuators in difficult places to reach, which is also bad design), and I have to replace a timing belt and water pump every 90k miles... surprisingly costs me about the same to partially disassemble the motor and replace a timing belt and a water pump as it does to replace window glass on your Toyota Camry!... but those are expected wear items. But why in the world would you design a window, made of one of the hardest substances commonly available, with nylon/plastic/whatever attachment points designed to fail after a short amount of use (5 1/2 years, really?), and then take out everything that's near it?!? And then charge an unconscionable amount of money to fix it?!?

Toyota umw toyota motor sdn bhd, malaysia

Dear CRM Team,

My Name is Surenthiran Nagarandaran, my NRIC is [protected]. I would like to bring forward to your attention under the admiration and confidence of ‘Toyota, ' I have booked myself a Toyota ALtis 2.0 under order No 613449 on the 25/06/2018.
The dateline that was promised to me by Telagamas Salesman on writing was ‘August 50/50 if can deliver before August.' I didn't want to pursue further with the Sales PIC on such an open ended, non definite, non binary date line of a vehicle delivery as I was rest assured that I will receive the vehicle on 1st or the most 2nd week of August.
Pursuing further on the contact of Shanmugavel Vengadasalam heading the Sales department was proven not to be fruitful also, let me explain why, the contact and conversation was intended to attain a definite deadline or should I say I would like my vehicle delivered on the 2nd week of August, instead of working on the delivery pipeline my enquiry was corresponded as a complaint to my Sales PIC at telagamas, thus souring the relationship that I had with him (Telagamas Salesman).
Objectively Shanmugavel's management style is a blame game approach, if he is keen on uplifting UMW Toyota Motor's business he should have taken this on his personal interest and resolved the matter by giving me an assurance that vehicle will be delivered on so and so date and if couldn't with a valid reason and a solution to relieve my transportational needs. This was definitely not done, and I am left hanging and probably Shanmugavel is just expecting a customer just to wait and expect, if it's delivered its delivered if it's not then I should just shut up and wait. I have lost my anticipation and interest on owning this vehicle, my earlier vehicle was a vios, this in an altis, nothing to shout about, but small tiny customers like us could make a big difference on the brand. Over the years Toyota's sales is proven to be dwindling, let go of the arrogance and blame game with ruthless management style and only then by team spirit you guys could properl further. Please hire honest, literate, integrity kind of leaders in the organization, human capital can bring the biggest change ever.

Depressed,
Suren.

Toyota dashboard panel / no respond from customer support of customer support malaysia

Dear Toyota

I am writing to you to seek your attention and assistance to address my concern. I wrote customer support Malaysia at [protected]@toyota.com.my to highlight degraded condition of the instrument panel of the dashboard of Toyota Camry 2.0E, year purchase 2008, 11 March. I do not receive any reply since 23 July 2018 and I doubt the email and my request has been attended promptly.

The panel started to peel of and crack since 2 years ago however I did not approach the repair centre to ask for replacement since I am not aware that the part is within the coverage of 10 years validity of warranty. Moreover, I did not have enough fund to upholster the aesthetical issue of the car and not affecting the car performance. After I collected money from my friends and various parties in order to send the car for upholstery the panel of the dashboard, I was informed by Toyota service centre that I just missed to claim the upholstery of dashboard panel which I entitled for claiming within 10 years warranty after purchased. I feel very dejected to hear about it.

I would like to seek your empathy, understanding and consideration in reviewing my case and granting the extension of another 6 months of dashboard panel warranty so that I can redeem the repair cost and return the loan and reduce the loss. I am a loyal Toyota customer and always support automobile product since 2008. I purchased Toyota Altis 1.8G, before owning higher model of Toyota Camry automobile. I also encourage my entire family members to use Toyota products due to the efficiency, functionality and high performance. I trust the quality, standards and service of Toyota since 10 years ago and I treasure our long term relationship for future purchase and will spread positive words of mouth with my friends and family.

I sincerely appreciate your humble opinion and wise decision in approving my request to extend the warranty period for another 6 months after 10 March 2018. Attached herewith the current condition of the panel which has been persisted since 2 years ago and I also attached the estimated cost of replacement quoted by Toyota service centre. I trust the efficiency and speedy resolution of Global Toyota customer support in assuring my request will be attended without any further delay.

Thank you in advance for your precious time in reviewing my case and your empathy towards a loyal customer voice.

Kind regards
Miss Chuah Pei Fong
