Location of this company per bill is CT but was told is in Texas. Billed for 4 months for product I didn't even know I had. Never received an email about it. Was told was sent to e-mail but wasn't. Basically I gave $120 for nothing. Never got a gift card for $25 like the customer services person told me I was to receive. What started it all was a web site that was to give you a free computer for buying or trying products. This was a 7 day trial I believe and I was to cancel. Again I never got any information about the purchase, no membership # or membership card, but the money was coming out of my credit account. Only resolution I got was a one time refund. I decided to try the today's escapes since I was given a one time charge of $19.95 in hopes of recouping some of my other lost money. I talked to another supervisor today and she said the "buck stops with her". I can't get any more help or any other refunds. I feel basically ripped off. I tried to e-mail them today to get my membership # for the new membership from Today's Escapes and the e-mails won't go through to them on my end. This is a warning to people don't go into those offers for computers they are bogus. I signed up for stuff I didn't even use and got charged, these people put the responsibility on me totally and take no responsibility for not giving me any information on what I signed up for in the first place. Also they won't give a refund for the months I didn't use it. Bottom line is stay away from those bogus advertising places you won't ever get your gift card or computer. This isn't the first time I was ripped off. And there is no one to complain to about this. I could only get so far to get the computer then the page wouldn't let me go any further, it started rejecting my credit card information. It did this after I ordered cook book clubs (which I got information on), magazines (which I received) and this passport of fun and today's escapes (which I received nothing). Beware of those offers for expensive purses and computers and cameras etc. They are bogus. I'd like to know how many people actually get the free stuff. I know I didn't get anything except bills.

I purchased items through the Home Shopping Network and I am reasonably sure this company got my information off of my debit card and was therefore able to start charging my account for a service I never received any information about and only when I called to cancel, was I given an account number through an automated system and then conveniently, there telephone system was experiencing a high level of calls and would disconnect you and ask you to call back in two hours but to continue to enjoy your savings. They had charged my bank account $14.95 on 11-3, 11-28 and 12-28 for no services whatsoever and I have a phone call into my bank to stop payment and reverse all charges.

I recently realized that a company called Today's Escape has been charging my credit card for some time. When I finally noticed it, and neither my husband nor I had heard of it, I tried calling. I actually spoke to a real person who said they would transfer me to the proper department. From that point on, nothing happened, and I finally hung up. I called my credit card company and they WERE able to connect to a person for a 3-way conversation. She claimed we had joined a travel club. We know we didn't because we are no longer able to travel. The credit card is going to refund us the $139.70 and then try to collect it from Today's Escape. When I first started this web search I found Today's Escape and somehow got to a page that was loaded with complaints, dating back to 2008. I posted a complaint and suggested a Class Action suit, giving my email address if anyone was interested. Now I can't find that page anywhere! When I read similar complaints on this site, I printed them out. So, again, if any of you have been illegally charged by this company, please contact me with regard to a possible Class Action suit. musicians@aol.com

We, too, have been getting charged monthly on our credit card; we were charged $24.95/mo. for four months and $19.95/mo. for two months). When I first noticed it, I thought it was a magazine my husband ordered. But when he swore he had never heard of Today's Escape, I called them and was also put on indefinite hold (never spoke to anyone).
I called my credit card company. (I rarely check the monthly statement closely; I just have it set up to be paid automatically once month). They tried to arrange a 3-way call with Today's Escape, and we actually, eventually, spoke to a real person. They said we had signed up for a travel discount club, which is ridiculous because we do not travel. I am handicapped and we have pets we refuse to put in a kennel, so we simply do not travel.
With the assistance of the credit card representative we were assured that the entire amount they have charged us ($139.60) will be refunded in full. The credit card company will post the credit on their statement within 5-7 business days, and then they will be responsibile for collecting it from Today's Escape.
Therefore, I suggest each of you try to take this route to get your money refunded.
However, since this scam appears to have been going on for 2-3 years, affecting who knows how many people, I am in full agreement with many of the others who have written, and strongly suggest we take LEGAL ACTION. I think it is important because of the thousands of others who are experiencing, or have had this same problem, or who are completely unaware they are being charged illegally.
If you are agreement, please let me know, and I will find out how to go about setting up a class action suit. Please feel free to email me at musicians2@aol.com. In the subject line, please write "Legal Action" or "Today's Escape". That way I will know who it is from in case it goes directly to spam, where I can recover it.
Also, if there are any attorneys reading this site, please contact me about this matter. It sounds as though a great many people have been scammed by this company over a lengthy period of time, and they need to be stopped.

Today's escapes is complete [censor], they charge you for nothing, you never receive anything, and then when called out one of the supervisors Nancy ID # 154104 says she will give a credit of 19.95 instead which is bull as well, and then there is a [censored] Jamie who works there but i have to say one thing for her she knew the truth and admitted that today's escapes just stole 40.00 from me.

I have had $21.95 stolen from me since Aug of 09. They said that I purchased something from an info-mercial and was automatically signed up for Today's Escapes for a tryal membership. I did not agree to anything like this. Once the tryal membership was over they started debiting my account. AKA ripping me off. When I called they were very quick to say that they would credit me for the 10 months that this was going on. We will see. I called my bank and had the company blocked. I would suggest you all do the same.

My boyfriend had the same problem. Checked his account and every month for about a year there was a charge from Today's Escapes + of $29.95 out of his account. Called the number the bank has listed next to the charge and they said he has been a member for about a year. He told them he had never heard of them and wanted his money back, wasn't nice about it. They said he would get a refund, we will see. If not will have to call the bank to see if they will do anything. Not sure how they even got his information.

i had no idea that so many people have been going through this same situation! last week i decided to check my account balance online because it had been awhile since i'd looked and was surprised to see a charge of $19.95 from the day before, when i hadn't spend any money in at least a week. this charge was under a service called budget savers, and as i scrolled down i noticed another charge of $19.95 under that name and then two more after that; one under peoples health and another under today's escapes. i never approved any of these charges and i have no idea how they got my credit card number and information. i called the number for budget savers (where i apparently had two accounts) and cancelled the services. they said i would be getting a refund check in the mail but who knows if it'll actually come. i think its ridiculous that people's account information can be accessed this easily! $80 is a lot of money for a poor college student!

I am also very angry today when I found out from my Bank statement, this company already charged to my checking acc every months since May 2007 until this March 2009.
I Immediately called them to talk to them in politely way but they just keep saying appologize and refused to refund to me.
This is just small money but as the same all of your feeling that we all angry with money lost but we never spent. The total amount almost 200usd can help for the people who hungry-homeless...
I also called to Wachovia, it's my Bank, But the Bank also can't do anything just only block my card and change new card..what is it? The Bank can not protect customer?
I really didn't know how they can get my Acc number?
I am Business woman and I got alot transaction everyday, I didn't pay much attention until today I got some time to check my acc.
I really want to do some thing to make them have to stop cheating other people.
Will polite or FBI can help to stop them?
How much money they can have evey month without working hard like us? How many more people we didn't know? who also lost money like us?
This is my 2nd time I have to change my acc.
They got very good way to do elegal business, even Bank can not do anything with them.
I am very angry and I will try to find soemthing to do to this company to stop.

I'm not sure how everyone was introduced to this company but i know i was recieving 5 to 6 phone calls a day from a number i didnt recognize. when i finally answered i asked how they got my number they said it was from a purchase i had made on line...now this is very possible since i (probably stupidly) make quite a few purchases on line and some ask for a phone number some dont. anyways i listened to the lady as she gave me her speech and like a fool i guess i thought i'd take the free gas and shopping cards and cancel before i got the monthly bills. well here it is 3 weeks after i signed up and no gas cards no shopping cards not even the membership package. so i was smart enough that i checked my bank account and yes they had taken out their dollar but i tracked down their phone numbers and cancelled immediately. now the one thing i find is unique in my situation is that i was called by 1 person for 3 different subscriptions most of the comments i read is only 1 or 2 subscriptions. well turns out to cancel all 3 it was 2 different numbers. Todays escapes cancellation number i found here and it was [protected]. since ernesto ( my cancellation rep ) must have been in a hurry since he tried to end the call about 3 times on me, i did make sure i got his name employee ID and a cancellation number. The other companies name was Budget Savers and Homeplay...those 2 companies are actually 1 and you can cancel with both from 1 phone number [protected] i have seen that they have a few other company names associated with them. i would also urge that you do the same and make sure you get a cancellation number, an employee name or number, as well as record the time and date because i have a feeling that being the stand up company they happen to be ( sarcasim if you cant tell ) you may run in to more fraudulent charges. good luck.

I just noticed these charges on my credit card today, and I have NO idea where they are coming from! I was able to look back to the last 6 months of statements and noticed a $23 charge on each of them. Who knows how long this has been going on? I may have had hundreds or a thousand dollars stolen from me! It's my own fault for not checking my statements each month, but shame on this company for stealing from unsuspecting people. People who are struggling to make it as it is. I contacted my credit card company and they are issuing me a grievance. They may reinburse me up to the last 6 months of charges, which total almost $160, but I don't know how long this has been going on before this! Please, someone let me know who they are and how they get your information! I have no idea how they got mine. I would like to talk to them in person and make them give me my money back!

The same thing happened to me with this same scam. I signed up for three "Free" gifts that I was supposed to be charged $4.98 a piece for. I have now been charged monthly fees for three different items I did not order, and a monthly fee from Today's Escapes. The BellaBrite company did refund my money, but the Mineral Purity and Colon Cleanser companies would not, and I never received any gifts and was not able to complete the application for the free Dell laptop.

I totally agree with your post, this online business is totally bogus. I received absolutely nothing I was promised. I was inducted the same way, by trying to "try out" a new television. Now I have been billed over $100.00, and nothing in exchange. I contacted Todays Escapes through a telephone number my credit card company provided me with and was able to stop the bills for a couple of months. Now I noticed today I am being billed again. Steer clear of these great offers please, what a hassle it is to get it stopped.
