Titan Peeler Scam

This is a total scam. Went online to purchase peeler which was advertised at $14.99 BOGO, plus shipping and handling. Put my information in, and total came to $49.95. Never hit the "submit" button, but backed out of the page and closed out of the website. Came home today and I had been sent 3 peelers. There was no invoice, packing information, etc. in the boxes. When I called the customer service number (which is very difficult to reach someone), I was told that they could only refund my money minus shipping - for something I never ordered in the first place. Already called my credit card company to dispute the charge. Have placed a complaint with Internet crimes and Better Business Bureau will be next. Do not deal with this company - it is a fraud.

The same thing happened to me. I never hit the submit button yet was charged for two peelers. I called the company they said just to refuse them. I did that and today i see a credit in my account JUST for the peelers, NOT the shipping charges!

Titan Peeler Customer Service

I was searching on the website about this particular product. Once I realized it would cost me more to ship it than the item cost, I ditched the process and DID NOT click the submit order button. An hour later I got an email saying that my order was submitted! The phone number (NOT AN 800 number) ws provided. I called the number four times and EVERY time the system told me I pushed an invalid key and disconnected me. The website provided no other contact information. BEWARE OF TITAN PEELER...DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY BUSINESS!

Titan Peeler Overcharged- Bait & Switch

I ordered a Titan Peeler online, and after going through their system, agreed to "upgrade" for what I thought was an additional $2 per unit. The final charge was over $52, and I had no opportunity to confirm or double check the charge before it was processed. I called the service number right away, but since it was a Sunday, they were closed, and I was told to call back during normal business hours. I called first thing Monday morning, but was informed the order could not be modified or canceled becaues the items had already been shipped. This was a lie!
I received an e-mail four days later telling me that the items had just been shipped. We still didn't receive them for over two weeks. They told me I could just refuse delivery, but they were delivered by mail; no chance for refusal. I could have sent them back, but this outfit would no doubt deny receiving the items back. One of the peelers was defective when received. Their service people were non-responsive to our complaints.
These folks are scam artists and the items are junk. BEWARE.

I called from a TV commercial to order a Titan Peeler two for the price of one. I made it perfectly clear I did not want any other products or services, just the two Titan Peelers and the free Walmart gift cards that came with the order. Walmart was specifically mentioned in the phone call and I specifically said I wanted Walmart cards. Now, two months later I finally get the Titan Peelers, but no gift cards. Then I get an introduction letter from Value Plus telling me they charged my credit card $24.95 for my September membership (which I explicitly said I did not want) and instructed me to go on line for the gift cards. On line there is another form you have to fill out and send to them for yet another form with choices of your gift card - both of which take 8-10 weeks to arrive. So I'm out $24.95 for a membership I never wanted and maybe will finally receive my gift cards by February if I'm lucky. This is such a horrible experience and such a sham I will never order any product from TV again because of this stupid company. When I called to cancel my "not wanted" membership the only thing the woman could tell me is that I was right - I may get the gift cards by February and that the phone conversation was misleading. In this kind of economy it's a shame companies like this exist and a shame TV stations even let them advertise.

I ordered the titian peeler and it never came and my account was charged $30.00. The number I found for customer service was not a working number. I have not seen this commercial since.

Ordered the product, they added a peeler and an upgrade charge and what was to be a 14.99 peeler turned into $136.23. Product was not received and only 31.19 was credited to my visa as they kept the Upgrade and shipping fees. Upgrade on WHAT?

I wish I had thought to see if there were complaints about this item before I ordered it. I also got the "upgrade" and the second peeler and after the $31+ shipping and handling charges, my total came to $71.93! I immediately called the company and they "could not find my order" because I needed to wait 48 hours before it would be posted. By the time I got someone to speak to, the items had been shipped! However, my biggest complaint is that the ordering process is automatic and you are not able to speak with a live agent. The recording takes you through everything (i.e. the original peeler, the "free" one, the two upgrades, the garnishing guide (a 12 page pamphlet!), the special offers, and ends without your being given a total for the order! And, I was shipped eight of the peelers! That's almost $9.00 each- and you are short four of the amazing garnishing guides! I have some problems with the fact that you are given not total and am filing a complaint with my state's attorney general and the Office of consumer Affairs, or file suit in small claims court. And no, you do not need a lawyer for this and the filing fee is nominal. Just be able to give good details of what happened and with whom you spoke. Or with whom you couldn't speak! This is a sleazy way to conduct business and I am not one who is easily ripped off. I mean really. . . what the heck do you do with eight of these things?!

I ordered a Titan Peeler and was put off by the 'buy one get one free, just pay additional shipping and handling'. I didn't fall for it. I was however charged additionally for some service I did not want. I promptly called my credit card company and had the charges reversed. I did not hear again from the Titan Peeler company regarding this reversal. This is prevelant in many TV infomercials. I was never offered any kind of a gift card for this purchase. The product however, does work very well. I have not used it alot but it is helpful.

Titan Peeler Overcharged

TV ad offers $14.99 BOGO plus S&H. I went online to order and was charged $34.97 plus S&H plus tax totaling $52.38. The telephone number they give for customer service is no good - no one answers and the call gets disconnected. This is bait and switch.

ordered titan peeler, get one free, got 4 instead of 2, charged my credit acct $61.94, similar to many other complaints.

Cannot contact customer service, this is a scam, do not order from this company, they hope you just bite the bullet & forget about chasing them, but I will definitely follow up.

I have been able to reach a rep on the following number: [protected]. Granted, I'm STILL trying to get the refund I deserve after they overcharged me, but if you want to talk with someone, I've gotten through 4 times to a live person. They will lie and tell you they are refunding the amount and then do not.

I was getting ready to order this, but figured I should check the internet for complaints (as I always do) first. So glad I checked! I won't be ordering it. Thanks for saving me the money and hassles! YAY for the internet!

Contact your local County Court and get a small claims complaint form. Filing it is around $20.00. BUT, you can sue for the maximum amount which in most States is around $3000 to $5000. In some States, the judge sees this as a scam with the intent to defraud, you can get treble damages, $9000 to $15000. It has worked for me several times. Once the company is served. Their lawyer will contact you for a deal to drop the suit. You can make lot of money AND, the more people that do costs the company hundreds for their attorney fee.

We saw an ad on TV for Titan Peelers. I attempted to order one from there 800 number. This was a totally automated system and was very confusing. After keying in my debit card number and realizing that the shipping cost was outrageous, I hung up and did not complete the sale. Then I went to my computer to see if I could make any sense of this. Again I attempted to order one of these peelers. And again the shipping was outrageous, so I did not complete the sale. After checking my bank account a few days later, I noticed that I was charged for both of these transactions. I immediately called the telephone number for Titan Peelers which was listed on the banks page along with the debits. After being on hold for 18 minutes I talked with someone who told me that the peelers had already been shipped. I could refuse delivery of the packages, if I wanted to. They would refund the cost of the peelers, but their policy was not to refund the shipping. I explained that I hadn't even completely the transaction. Again I was told of their policy of not refunding the shipping. I asked to talk to a supervisor and was told that the supervisor didn't have time to talk to me. She would return my call if I left my name and telephone number, which I did. I received no return call. Big surprise! The TV ad also offered an upgrade to shipping. Priority Mail for $29, otherwise it took 4 - 6 weeks to receive the product. I didn't upgrade shipping. And a few days after ordering the peelers, they had already shipped. The shipping for each peeler was around $15.
