I bought the Tissot T-Touch Watch 3 years ago for around $800. But the touch screen sensors are dying one by one.

After googling around, I found out that I am not alone with such problem, the touch screen problem is rather common problem for t-touch owners all around the world.

I sent few email regarding the poor quality watch to Swatch Customer Care from Tissot Website. So far no single reply back from them.

I went to their Customer Care in Singapore, they simply asked me to send the watch for service with service charge of $178 (almost 1/4 of the watch price). I asked them the reason why the so called swiss technology is so unreliable. They simply told me that 3-4 years is reasonable for servicing the watch.

I was shocked as my Japanese technology Casio Protrek tripple sensors watch still function very well. the Tissot which carry the swiss flag as part of its logo could not work for more than 3 years.

I believe the upkeep for paying $178 for every 3-4 years is way too high. if the watch really got design or technical problem. Tissot should bear the cost, in stead of asking consumer to pay for the repair every 3-4 years. It should not be the way for money generating.

Purchased the watch in June 2022. In September the thermometer displays 576 degrees and the altimeter displays 900 meters. I live at just about sea level. How can I reset these displays?

Hello, I got my Tissot Touch Solar T091420 A/ FCL U6D R2T/ 15 B C0095687 as gift three years ago, and now have detected a blob on the display (up in the middle part of the display under the centrum part of the clock face). Read about that issue, and asked Tissot about that issue on their pages- the only reply was that I have to contact local service.
Didn't expect that from watch of such caliber.

The customer representative has no experience and didn't pro ride requested information about trade in which made it longer for waiting time. And some more, swatch group didn't even honour 2 years international warranty for the service and requested repair fees of $400. wtf!

I thought Tissot was a great company. I bought a tissot touch and within a year the troubles started. I gave it for service and learnt that the watch was literally screwed up. The screws on the back were rusted and was broken when the service engineer trued to open the back case to change the battery. The watch had to go to delhi for se vice from chennai. It came back after 5 months. Soon within a year it stopped again. This time I took it to the service centre. I had to wait for a couple of days to know the problem. The service centre examined it and said that the case had to be changed and it would cost me 70, 000 rupees. This was more xpensive than the watch itself. It sounded ridiculous. They have sent it to the service centre in delhi to get their opinion.
The conclusion is, don’t buy the tissot touch. It is a promlematic watch. The company remains insensitive to the complaints

I sned my 2 T Touch for battery replacement both are working properly only dead battery for 2 days, after changing the battery the other watch compass function is not working after pressing the crystal glass, i managed to put it in calibration, since i am not sure how to so this I returned it to the service center, the technician check it for 45seconds and immediately advised that it is a sensor problem. They asking me to pay $400 for servicing WHICH I DO NOT AGREED! I argue that the watch is working properly no issue at all only battery is dead and you are asking me to pay $400 after you changed battery and mess up with my watch... inam bery much disappointed with this! They actuall ask me to leave the watch and call me after 2 weeks will see and I will post another update here! thanks for hearing guys!

It's been 3 days since I bought the watch and it's showing signs of heavily weathering around the holes of where one locks the watch . I am absolutely disappointed to see this happening with a special edition watch and with tissot brand. Please help me with a solution to this

I also own Tissot T touch--though for me it lasted for 8 years without trouble. Just a week back it started going haywire and so i took to proper established shop in Japan. they confirmed that battery replacement does not work and need to be sent for repairs, will take 4 months and cost about $470. I declined and the good fellow did not charge me for anything that he spent time with me even though it was not just a Tissot centre. As compared my other SEIKO and CITIZEN watches ( bought before 2002) still work fine. net, do NOT ever touch SWISS technology and stay far away from TISSOT

I bought a Tissot touch in 2013, and I realized the watch stopped working in 2016 as I have't used it for a long time. I brought it to the Tissot customer Service center in Singapore for a review and battery change. After few weeks they called me and told me that the module is spoiled and I need to pay S$368. There is no leakage of the battery, however they explained that the module continues to draw power from a depleted battery and hence the module gets spoiled. I'm upset with their response. How are the customers suppose to know that it has to be brought into service every 18 months. There is no mention in the manual anywhere. It is a faulty design/product and they cannot penalize customer without informing the maintenance process. I'm very unhappy with the product.

I was proud to be presented a Tisspt T-touch as I was a helicopter pilot. Though the time function of the watch is good, the barometer from day one gave erractic reading.

Later I discovered that this watch is absolutely not waterproof. Not even sweat proof!. Based on the company's reputation, my wife had bought the watch for me. One expected a rugged watch which would stand up to the elements one normally encounters off shore.

This watch needs to be wrapped in cottonwool . It is too small to be a wall clock and too fragile for anything else!. The reputation of the company is called to question, either they have been making junk from 1853 and this watch is at par with their other watches, or this watch needs to be recalled immediately!

I'm from Singapore. I have a Tissot T-Touch Classic, which I bought sometime back in 2006. In 2011, the compass when out of sync, and soon after, analog clock and digital clock went out of sync, and battery went flat. As the Tissot is just one of my weekend watches that I can live without, I left it in this state until 2015 when I decided to do a battery replacement.

Approached the Suntec City outlet for a battery replacement, and one of the sales staff started telling me about a trade in programme which I can trade in my old T-Touch for a new T-Touch II, by topping up S$360. (They claimed the T-Touch II retails at S$1200, which is rubbish, given that it's a damn old model which you can find brand new from eBay at $700. I'm sure they have many unsold units of this watch lying around due to one reason; it's damn ugly!) I told them I'm only interested in having the battery replaced and I will not take up any trade in offer.

They took my watch and over a week later, I received an email with the repair estimation amounting to S$360. Under the repair description was the details of a new T-Touch II that can be had if i agree to pay the "repair amount" of S$360. They did not tell me in the email what had happened to my watch that rendered in unrepairable, other that stating my watch had scratches and dents which are part of normal wear and tear.

I replied the email to give them a piece of my mind and to insist I only want a battery replacement. They replied my watch "had a faulty circult and hence unable to set compass". They claimed the spares required to overhaul my watch is obsolete and not in production anymore, and started talking about their trade in programme again. Don't you guys find it strange that Tissot had become a throw away watch like Swatch?

I told them to have the watch returned unrepaired. I'll not spend another cent to get myself a Tissot. If you ask any watch collector, they will tell you Tissot and especially the T-Touch is just gimmicks and not worth your money.

Buy tissot t-touch around 2007 at Dataran Pahlawan Melaka. Roughly after two years, need to send it to SC due to batteries fault. Luckily it's still under warranty.
Last month, send it again for repair due to multifunction (alt., temp., meteo) not working. The touch crystal still working though but no digital readout. The SC give a call saying that the repair cost will be RM 870. They also make an offer of trading in the old with the new T-Touch II with the price on RM 1500. Is this one of the way of Tissot making money? Looks like after 1 year+ the tissot watch will surely failed and the after service it will definitely fail again. Decide to take back the old one without repairing it. It's a wedding present and I rarely use it. Shame on you Tissot.

I think all tissot watches are crap. I had the t-touch too and had send it in for servicing after 2 years of use. But 1 year plus after the servicing, the watch malfunction again. I was told that it needs to be serviced again. It is ridiculous as I have to pay $200+ every 2 years for servicing when the watch only cost me $800+. Now I own a tissot perpetual calendar classic and it is happening again. After less than 3 months, the calendar function stop working and since its under warranty, I send it in for servicing. 2 months later, the same function stop working again. I really give up on this brand. It's such a disappointment. I WILL NOT BUY ANOTHER TISSOT EVER.

I was about to spend $900 Australian dollar on the PRC200 chrono automatic Tissot until I found this site.I am sorry for the bad experiences that you have had with Tissot and thank you very much for sharing them.I also have a Tag, it's very reliable but the service cost is ridiculous ($300 last time I paid, just for the battery replacement oil lubricant)

I think I will stick with Citizen Eco Drive and Casio Gshock which never fail on me for year of ownership.

After reading these comments, come to realise that I'm not the only one having problem with the Tissot Touch. Bought mine few years back, sent to service centre a few times because of malfunction of the compass, before they replaced a brand new one without cost. The new one failed me as well, until recently, it stop functioning altogether. Sent into the service centre again, and was told that the watch need to be overhauled. After a month or so, got back the watch from overhaul, with additional one year warranty. However, less than 6 month later, it stop working again. In and out from the service centre, thinking it should work reliably now, but was disappointed again, sent it in again, and receive call from the centre offering a brand new Touch 2 with 50% discount on the retail price (S$700++ after discount) if I trade in this old one. WTH!

I bought my Tissot T-Touch in 2002 and it worked fine till 2008. in between the years, I sent it for normal servicing on the 5th years (2007). I worked fine till late 2008 when out of a sudden the time dial got completely out of sync with the digital read out. When I activate the touch screen the hands would no longer point together at the function you touched and the hands also did not move smoothly. It seems like the hands are shuffling up and down. I thought it's time to change the battery but unfortunately after changing to a new battery it lasted for only 1 day. Then the watch went dead. I went over to the shop to check the condition, but was told that there's something wrong with my watch. He advice me to send to the service centre. I bought mine in Singapore and sent for the 1st normal servicing also in Singapore. I'm not sure if I should send it for repair since there's so much complaint about the watch.

I bought the Tissot T- Touch in 2007 and it worked fine till 2011 and then it stopped. I thought that it is some battery problem. I went to a local Support Centre ( Nizam Watch Company at Saddar Rwp) they claimed that for battery change they have to send the watch to another city Karachi ( 1700 kms away) and asked me 35$ for battery change only which is just a matter of 50 cents for other watches in Pakistan. I sent the watch to karachi... It came back after 10 days and the shopkeeper told me that the machine has a problem and it will be repaired at the cost of Rs 24, ooo that is 300$. I just brought the watch back and forgot about my faulty watch. One day my wife gave my daughter the condemned watch to play. After some time she told me that dont know what my 3 yr old daughter has done that the watch has started working again. It was a shock for me but i still wonder why the service centre claimed 300$ for the faulty machine. And if the machine was faulty and battery dead how did it start working again. I dont trust T-touch.

I too have a bad experience wit singapore tissort service center... i bought my Tissort touch expert in end 2008. Come july 2010 i hav a blinking "batt" on the digital display. So i brought it in for what i think is a simple batt change at wheelock place tissort service center. But i was wrong, the lady tot me that the circuit board is damage due to unknown cause and hav to he replace. At first, i tot its fine since its under warranty... but hell no, the counter lady say they would not cover it cause i hav physical dents on the watch so they hav to void the warranty... i was like 'wth'. I wear the watch for work, plus i work in a engineering area... of cos i bound to have some scratches on the watch. They wan to charge 200++ sgd for the so call repair. So guys only buy this watch for display/collection only. Its not a rugged or everyday wear kind of watch. Next time i sticking to my casio g shock.

Same problem with my t touch... purchased in 2005, no problem until last week when it went out of sync. So i went to rhe swatch customer service at wheelock to change the battery and reset the watch. I was told that the watch must be sent for servicing and that I have to pay 350 sgd. I insisted to change the battery only but they kept on refusing saying that the only way to change the battery is to send the watch for servicing. They also added that servicing takes 3 months...! So I left and they lost a customer. Shame on them.

i agree - my t-touch lost all its functions (except the clock hands) after two and a half years and now i am being asked to pay almost half the cost of the watch to repair it. and i was told that it happened because of magnetic fields!

My Tissot touch watch only lasted for less than one and a half years. Then things went bad. The touch sensor did not work at all. Nothing. Zippo. It was a present and had sentimental value. I can junk the watch but could not junk the buyer. So please do not get that kind of watch for someone you like. Like many watches out there (and watches are getting expensive especially those that spend on marketing) these are pure gimmicks and are basically disposable watches. Hella expensive disposable watches at that! I think it was one of the biggest disappointments in my life given the price and promise. It is really sad since Tissot had a reasonably nice brand name. Guess when it is taken over by those big chains, quality control goes out the window and profits is everything. Never mind if the stuff does not work. If this is consumerism, then we are done.

I had a Titanium T-Touch for 2 a half years & found the chrono function on the screen no longer functioned. Tissot told me I had water damage and wanted $$ to replace glass 'cause that's where the electronic stuff is. Search "Water Resistance Mark" on Wikipedia. This gives you an idea of what you are in for when it comes to you WR rating. Believe me, they are not what they seem. Turns out that WR-30m is basically sweat proof. The owners manual warns against diving but nothing against swimming. Not happy.

I got this watch as a gift - it was cool and worked great for six months. Then one day walking out of my office it beeped and the time dial got completely out of sinc with the digital read out. It would be 3:00 on the read out and the hands would read 11:23. When you activate the touch screen the hands would no longer point together at the function you touched. I sent it in and the reset it. That lasted about four months. This continued for about two years after which they said it was no longer under warranty. They wanted me to pay $310 to get it fixed. What garbage.
