Tire Works Total Car Care Work performed not done properly, my car is still not operating properly

I have attached two work orders for your review. The first one 11/24/23 for $934.43. I went to the shop to see why my car was jerking. After looking at it, they said it was misfiring and needed spark plugs, etc. They performed the service and I left.

November 29, 2023, I took the car back becasue it was still misfiring and to find out why since Tire Works stated that's all that was wrong. The Service Manager comes out in approximately an hour with a bill to correct the problem of $2,992.47 stating everything that was wrong with my car after the fact stating that these things will probably go bad. As of today, my car still misfires and I'm afraid to drive it because I don't want it to stop on me and I don't have any transportation. Was this a bait and switch on the part of your company? Why didn't he tell me all of this before they fixed the car 11/24/23, charging me $934.43?

Can you please, check this situation out and explain what Tire Works is going to do to rectify this situation.

I will send my complaint to the BBB and to the Attorney General if the problem isn't solved, you fix my car, no additional charges, I had to get a Snap Finance Loan to pay for the charges, another expense to me and now you are expecting an additional $2,992.47.

I will wait to hear back from you.

I attempted to send my complaint to the CEO Jeff Weightman and/or the CFO Roshie Weightman, however, I could not find an address or email for either of them. Why is that? Most CEO's have a corporate address you can send a complaint to.

I attempted to attach my bills, however the files were too large.

Claimed loss: $934.43; plus they tell me it still needs $2,992.47 worth of work

Desired outcome: I want my car fixed at no charge to me due to the fact it was not fixed correctly the first time, it appears it was deliberate to tell me that I need additional work or they put in the wrong spark plugs.

Tire Works Total Car Care Manager gave poor customer services

I'm having a problem with my front end shaking when i'm driving and it shakes even more when I apply the brakes. I went to tire works at 8825 w. Flamingo Rd. Las vegas, NV 89147 and was told that the problem was my brake rotors were bad and the rear shock was bad. I had my mechanic change my shocks and struts and all 4 brake rotors and pads. my truck still continues to shake a little and then alot when I apply the brakes. So last week I went to a shop and had the alignment done and to check the tires to make sure they were balanced, the shop said they had to rebalance the tires because they were not balanced. Since I purchased the tires from your company I have had all my tires rotated every 5000 miles and my oil changed when needed. My mechanic told me that after he changed the brakes etc. the only other possible problem that can cause it to shake is the tires. today I went to Tire Works and talked to Keith Ping the store manager and explained what the problem was and before he even looked at the tires he said it's not the tires and that it's the brake rotors because we must have purchased cheap parts. I did tire repairs etc for 8 years working for Hertz rent a car and I checked the tire depth on all 4 tires before I went to your store and found the depth were from 6mm to 10mm on 1 tire, 9mm, 10mm, 11mm on another tire, and 9mm and 10mm on the other 2 tires. when your manager checked the tread depth he claims ALL 4 tires were at 11. I told him to change the front tires so I could see if the shaking would stop but he refused and said I needed to replace my brake rotors again. I told him to give me my truck and I left. Your Manager thinks he knows more than his customers but with me doing tire work for 8 years and after changing my shocks and rotors and brake pads I know it has to be the tires that is the problem.

Desired outcome: I want the tires replaced for free because your store didn't balance the tires when they rotated them or even checked to see if they were balanced.

Tire Works Total Car Care Paid for fluid change and fluids were not filled

Beginning of July my Ford F150 thru a check engine light. Auto zone ran code n said it was cam positioning sensors which they did not have available so I walked across parking lot to Tire Works. Guy said they had and could fix for over $300. I agreed. When I picked up truck it still drove weird. Within the week the engine light came on again n so I brought it back. This time they said it was cam phasor n timing chain, crack in thermostat evento my temperature gauge was fine n fluids were all bad n needed flush. This was over $5600. 2 weeks later I pick up truck after I called them daily n was told everyday that it would be ready tomorrow. Truck still drives weird. Take it back and now they say that the throttle needs to be repaired but I need to leave truck again so they can clean sensor n do drive tests on it. I call the next day n guy says that tech will call me back. 2 days go by with no call so I go to shop n tell them 2 give me my keys I'm done with them I will take it elsewhere. The following day I have someone look at it n he shows me that they used a ziptie to hold throttle pieces together, says they either broke or cut bolts. Also all of my fluids are barely half full and inches below fill line. I have left several messages at corporate office and still have not received a call back. The shop won't give any other number to call. I wish I never took truck there and should of gone somewhere else. My 1st visit there there was a guy screaming at them when I walked in, now I get why he was mad. They do shoddy work and won't communicate with you.

Desired outcome: My money back for the fluid flushes and changes that they didn't do correctly that I now have 2 pay to have done again.

Tire Works Total Car Care Alternator

Alternator went out. Got new one put in. Died in middle of intersection 2 weeks later. Guy told us it would keep happening if we didn't get OEM parts. BUT originally was either 2100 or 1700. 2100 was oem and 1700 wasn't. So got new one. Instead of costing the extra 400...cost extra 1000 and still not running well. HELP! They never even ran prices by us first.. Just said "oh yeah, it's 1000 now". Plus gave and charged new battery when we didn't need one!

Desired outcome: Refund

Tire Works Total Car Care Auto tires

I purchased four new tires for a 2015 Mustang at Tire Works in Las Vegas store #2009. Silverado Ranch Blvd. After dropping of the car for installation, I received a call that all lug nuts needed to be replaced as Mustangs have some issues with them. I asked why all at once and the fact that after a recent oil change and tire rotation there were no issues. Assuming they would be factory lug nuts, I ok'd the change. After thinking it was odd that all lug nuts were bad, I called a local dealer for the cost of a 20 piece set. The individual price is $9.71 including tax. I was charged $16.99 per nut x's 20 for aftermarket lug nuts. My quote also included a tire protection plan for $20.00 per tire. The final bill was changed to $34.58 per tire. This is the second time their Asst. Manager, Chris, has over charged for services that I do not believe were all warranted. I believe this business arbitrarily changes quotes and adds additional expenses to increase their revenue. I called the store owner in June to complain about this same Asst. Manager, so I have to believe it's an accepted business practice by this establishment.

Desired outcome: I am just reporting the facts. Obviously, I will find another reputable business and compare prices for services rendered.

Tire Works Total Car Care Tire repair

On November 15th 2021 I purchased 4 new tires at Tire Works located on 9590 W Tropicana Las Vegas NV 89147. On Wednesday September, 14th 2022 at 1:34pm my boyfriend David Carrasquillo dropped off my truck due to a nail that was in my left rear passenger side. Around 2:11pm Tire Works called me and said that they could not repair my tire because the hole was at an angle and if they went through it to repair it, it would be too close to the other hole. They said I will need a new tire and I had no other choice to say yes. Then my boyfriend (David) went by to pick up my truck and he asked to see the hole in the tire. When they showed him the hole he put 1 finger in the outside of the hole and 1 finger in the inside of the hole and said they seemed to line up. David then asked them to drill the hole out the way they would to repair it so he could see if it was going to leave 2 holes instead of one on the inside of the tire. They refused to do it. David paid for the tire that they put on the car. David took the tire a mile and half away to Discount Tire and ask them to look at the to see if could be repaired. They not only just repaired it they also said there was no reason that the tire could not be repaired. David then went back to Tire Works and ask them to put the fix tire back on the truck and take the new tire back and reimburse him for the money. They refused and because the new tire they put on was now used. I feel like I was scammed and taken advantaged. I consider this to be fraudulent business practice and requesting the money to be returned and I will return the new tire they installed on my truck. I will also be calling BBB regarding this issue and filing a complaint. My contact info is [protected]@gmail.com phone # [protected]. David Carrasquillo [protected]@hmsvegas.com [protected].

I have receipts from Discount Tire with their input regarding the tire and Tire Works receipt of the purchase of the 4 tires 11/15/21 and the receipt from Tire Works for the fraudulent sale of the new tire on 9/14/2022 but I am unable to upload them due to an error on your website. I will be more than happy to email you receipts since I am having issues uploading.

Desired outcome: I would like my money reimburse and the new tire taken back.

Tire Works Total Car Care Oil change

I came with my Toyota Camery for oil change. Walmart in CA changed my oil last and tighten the cap. Walmart in Parhump said its tight they can not do it. Walmart in Las Vegas said the same thing. By this time I knew had to go to a place that does cars only. Took it to Tire Works in Parham hoping they can open it. They did not tell me it was tight. They did not have the parts yet they tried opening the tight cap knowing from their experience it may break. I was not given an option. They broke the cap I was made to sit in the shop from 12pm to 5 pm since the manager was to drop me off hope they did not have the parts . I was told it would be here Monday morning but come Monday my car was not released. Management could not get the parts

I had to pi k up my husband from Las Vegas airport Monday 7am which he changed to 8pm .at this point had to get rental paying $60. Went to pick up car on Tues took it home oil leaked all the way home. Brought it back no empathy for all I went thru. At this point it should have been free for all the grievance I went thru. They gave me $40 break

Desired outcome: The ordeal I went thru it should be free

Tire Works Total Car Care Multiple issues

On March 2nd I had my car towed to tire works at 445 west centennial parkway in north las vegas for a flat tire only. There was nothing wrong with anything else on the car. I received a phone call saying that they would replace my tire bit had to order a different one and that all of my tire sensors were not working. Mind you, all of my sensors worked before the car arrived there as that is how we knew we had a flat to begin with. They changed the tire and we refused the sensor replacement. Sensor light has been on since. On April 19th we had the car towed to the same tireworks for another flat tire... was hard to tell something was wrong with the tire this time because of our sensors being out of order. They once again replaced the tire and when I went to pick up the car the check engine light was on. I immediately went back in and had them check it out as it was NOT on before it arrived at their shop. I am really frustrated as now not only am I having to replace tires I am struggling to get this check engine light off and have to figure out what to do about my sensors that worked perfectly before my car was towed to their shop. Of course when I broight these situations up to the people working at the tireworks they had excuses as to why the sensors didn't work anymore. Excuses like maybe all the batteries died, like really, at the same time and just so happens the car was there. Really frustrated. Tried finding a number to contact corporate and couldn't find a number. I will not let this go as we are very good at upkeep with our car (2014 nissan sentra with under 100, 000 miles). Please advise.

Desired outcome: My sensors to be working like they were when my car was towed to their shop.

Tire Works Total Car Care falken wildpeak at tires and manager service at silverado

On June 12th of 2018 I purchased for $1175.12 four Faulken WildPeak AT off-road tires at the recommendation of the Tire Works representative, along with the warranty.

Used the tires for approximately 1 year and 3 months when I noticed the tires were falling apart and appeared sun rotted. On September 3rd of 2019 I met with Tire Work's store manager Talia Gilbert. I showed her the tires and she inspected them and said, "a few cuts but no problem to take them on a road trip". So, I assumed she was an expert and took her word.

On September 9th, 2019 I drove my family in my 2017 F250 truck pulling my 2015 30-feet long Hideout pull trailer over Red Mountain Pass (see photos) and numerous other high mountain passes while on vacation in Colorado.

On September 30th, 2019 I had the tires re-inspected at Discount Tires in Grand Junction, Colorado. Upon inspection they were shocked that any tire person would allow anybody to drive on these tires let alone over Red Mountain Pass in Colorado. They also said that if I had bought the warranty they would of replaced these tires for free ASAP!

On October 3rd, 2019 I drove to Tire Works and met with Talia an showed her the worst of the 4 tires and she took the tire from me and said she would take care of it. I asked her for documentation of the chain of custody of the tire and she said, "she would do it immediately and that the head Tire Works office will take the tire and process the claim and would contact the manufacturer".

October 23rd, 2019 I made the last of 20 phone calls and requests to Talia to provide me with some type of documentation and a copy of my receipt, she stated, "I can't find the receipt and will immediately send me via email the chain-of-custody letter", which entails the details of my claim. She did not and it appears that she has either not submitted my tire and claim and is stalling for some reason.

Since I have gotten no help from Talia (I tried really hard to work with her and have documentation of phone calls), I am forced to do what I did not want to do. I will be doing the following to resolve this matter:
1) contacting the corporate office of Tire Works to file a complaint against Tire Works and their Silverado store and manager.
2) file a complaint with Faulken Tires about the poor quality of their product.
3) file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau
4) file a complaint with the regulatory agency that oversees the manufacturing and distribution of tires in the US.
5) file a complaint on Yelp to make sure other potential clients know that Tire Works does not honor their warranty, has extremely poor customer service, pushes the responsibility on the manufacturer, has extremely poor communication skills, and sells defective products.
6) If no resolution is provided, I will sue Tire Works for the price of the tires and damages for risking my families' life over not wanting to honor their warranty.

I have been more than gracious with Ms. Gilbert and have taken her words as the truth, when in-fact she lies and does not have the capacity to be a manager of a tire store, which has peoples lives on the line with solid decisions over tire use.

You can bet that I will follow through with this email, as I tried to resolve it at the store level without any success.

I am also sending photos of Red Mountain Pass Colorado which is one of the passes we drove over with these tires that were deemed safe to drive on by Talia Gilbert, Store Manager for Tire Works at Silverado Ranch in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Sincerely,
Peter A. Herrera
Former Tire Works Customer

Went there to have them fix my flat. They said only with no paperwork because they didn't want to be liable.Would not take anything but cash. Had to buy a pack of gum and pay them $20 cash. What kind of tire place only fixes tires by cash only. That's horrible. Dont you have forms for that. Someone's pocketing. What kind of tire place won't fix tires unless you only pay cash and have no paper trail.

Tire Works Total Car Care new battery purchase

TIRE WORKS #03 9590 West Tropicana Ave. Las Vegas NV 89147 Tire Works has unethical business practices. I have used Tire Works services in the past and while I thought from time to time their prices were a little high they provided me with good service.
However, on Thursday July 5, 2018 my daughter's SUV battery died and needed replacing I went to Tire Works and spoke with a gentleman named Pierce. He had the battery tested and confirmed it needed replacing and that the alternator and starter tested fine. He checked his computer for a replacement battery and then check the stock in the store. He stated he did not have the recommended battery for the SUV, but he could have one delivered via company truck in 30 minutes. When I asked the price, he told me the battery would cost $220.00. I expressed concern at the cost and he replied that was the recommended battery for the vehicle. He stated there were two battery options on his computer, one better than the other (higher CCA) but they were priced the same and of course I chose the better of the two.
They installed the battery and presented me a bill for $331.38. Now I was very concerned as this was much more than I had paid for batteries in the past.
In addition to the $220.32 battery he charged $55.00 to install the battery which took 15 minutes. In fairness he did tell me about this charge up front. However, he charged me an additional $34.99 listed as a shop charge and when I inquired about this he informed me there is always a shop charge of about 10-15%. I was not informed of this charge nor was it justified given the only part involved was the battery at $220.32. I complained to Pierce that the charges were high, however, he deflected my comments. so I left.
Still not happy when I got home I looked at the battery they installed researched the web trying to see if it really sold for $220.00. I could not find this battery on the Tire Works site or any pricing information. However, when I researched the internet I did find this battery at O'Reilly Auto Parts at a list prices of $129.99.
I called Pierce at Tire Works to again express my concern about the charges. He admitted the battery came from O'Reilly and even shared Tire Works cost was $126.00 approximately. He stated his company computer calculated the $220.00. I told him his pricing was unfair and that he never informed me he was purchasing the tire from a third party. I informed him that I could have purchased that battery for $129.00 and that I had been grossly overcharged and I wanted a partial refund. Based on my calculation they had marked up the battery 74%. While Pierce did not verbalize agreement, he said he would speak with his manager and call me back. He did call me about 30 minutes later and offered the give me a voucher for shop work (wheel alignment or oil change) I declined because I was not aware of the value of those services, but mostly I was a victim of unethical business practices and was overcharged. In addition, I was not informed the battery was being sourced from a third party or that they would add 74% to the price. With the labor, shop charge and markup Tire Work's gross on this transaction was $184.31 on an item that cost them $126.00. This is not ethical or fair pricing. The only fair remedy is a refund. I would be OK with if I was fully informed of the sourcing method. I may have elected to take my car elsewhere where my relationship on this purchase would have been with only one party. I told Pierce any reasonable person would agree a 74% markup is not fair pricing. Pierce said he could not give me money back only a voucher for future service. He made an admission that there was a pricing error in their computer but was not specific. His offer of the voucher was another admission that this transaction was not fair. Later that day his boss (Peter) called and also stated they could not give me cash but that the voucher offer was still available. I told him I was going the call the corporate office. He provided me the phone number and informed me that he had already spoken to Robin in the corporate office and she would be the decision maker related to my complaint. He also said Robin was in agreement with not refunding the over payment and only providing a future service voucher. I called the corporate office on Monday 7/9/2018 provided a summary of my issue. I was told by the person answering the call that Robin would call me back.

Tire Works Total Car Care bad service/wrong information given

I have a complaint and would like something done, or acknowledged. Short story version is on Friday April 13, 2018 while driving to work (which I work in Henderson, live in Centennial Hills) my tire pressure light went on, I immediately got off at Russell Rd and went to the store at 7:30am. I asked the guy to please check my tire, I had my baby in the car as well. He said ok roll forward and back (didn't take my tire off or even offer to). I said there is obviously something wrong if it dropped over 10 pounds in one night. He said I don't see anything and is probably weather related so I'll just put air in it for now and if you have an issue come back. I explained to him AGAIN I have to drive a long way home on the freeway! He put air in my tire and sent me on my way. I woke up Sunday morning to an almost Flat Tire, I then took my car Monday morning to Discount Tire on Azure Rd, they immediately took my car back, took the tire off, placed it in the floating water to see where the leak was coming from, they found a nail, fixed it and also provided me information on my tires. I will be going to Discount tire this week to buy new tires and am very disappointed in Tire Works. I could of had a blow out on the freeway with my baby in the car due to this "professional's" negligence.

Tire Works Total Car Care tire

Customer ID #[protected]. I purchased 4 tires and wheel alignment in Dec 2017. Saturday on my way to CA, my front rear tire blows out. We go to your cactus location to have it repaired. It is deemed I repairable. He looks in the system for a new one. He finds 2 and asked his manager which one to get for us. The manager says the "defender" the man looks at him and says the defender? The manger gives him a look and says yes. He then tells me the total will be 196.00 ! I ask about the other tire and all of a sudden, he can, 't get that one for At least 2 hours. He knew I was stuck with a time restriction to get to CA and I had no choice. I had to have it done. We were totally taken advantage of and will never use tire works again. By the way, no hole in tire of anything, it just blew out! The man next to me got a quote on some work and was ready to leave because it was too high for him and the manager gave him a discount to get him to do the work. I am not sure what kind of business you run but your customer service is horrible at this location. Just cut up my tireworks credit card and will flood Facebook and anyone who wants to listen About the way we treated!

A very unhappy x customer who will take all her family business elsewhere!

Tire Works Total Car Care battery replacement

I went to the Tireworks location on West Ann Road on a Sunday to have a battery replaced after having to call for roadside service to my home to jump start battery. I was charged a total of $262.50 which I thought was really high (included a charge of $21.95 for shop supplies, $55 labor, $170 for the battery and sales tax) When I contacted the district manager he had the store manager call me who said the charges were legitimate and offered me two oil changes at no charge. I should also mention that the technician who installed the battery changed my radio settings which baffled me. Why would you tamper with a customer's radio while replacing a battery? The bottom line is I don't think I will accept the offer for these free oil changes because I don't feel comfortable going back to this location for any type of service, period!
