Ticketmaster Customer Service

Extremely poor customer service. I purchased tickets over the phone and received a confirmation email indicating the wrong date. Waited 30 mins to get through to someone to talk to only to be told that they can not exchange nor refund. although it was clearly their mistake and there were plenty of seats still available for that day. Ruined out family night out which we planned in advance and really were looking forward to . Appalling attitude and response from customer service. Extremely disappointing.

I ordered 4 tickets on ticketmaster for the king tut exhibit in SF online. 3 out of the 4 tickets came back with the time window I selected and one, for some reason, came out a different time. I called ticketmaster to make a change to the 4th ticket assuming it wouldn't be much of a problem. Instead, they refused to make the change and said since I ordered online, the problem was self-inflicted and not their fault. The operator said he can prove it was a human mistake, because I ordered using its website, hence I'm responsible for the problem. I found that was extremely irresponsible of ticketmaster and extremely rude of the operator, and absolutely ridiculous in how they blamed the customer.

The operator's name is Lorenzo and his operator number is ZYS688 - at least that's what he said.

If it is their mistake then they should be doing something to solve it. I would take some advice from consumer direct and see what your consumer rights are.

I am suing ticket master due to their faulty and un responsible system. my email is Kassandra.Klutts@live. com. if you would allow me to use your story to help me with my dispute, we can see what they can do for yours as well.

I ordered tickets for Kevin Hart on Saturday, but instead they gave me Fridays tickets, when doesn't add up because i was going for Friday Feb 18th tickets but they were sold out so they gave me saturdays and now that i tried to print my tickets on saturday today feb 19th, they said the even was over, i am out 172.00 dollars and i didnt even go, it also shows in their system the tickets werent used. i spoke with them they said there is nothing that they can do and that it was my error i shoudlve triple checked my order. they said that i need to sue them to get it taken care of. which is where were headed. if you are intrested please send me an email with your story. name and contact information.

Bought 4 Justin Bieber VIP tickets, which were to include other promotional material, such as a Justin Bieber bag, JB Calendar, JB Lanyard, etc etc. 2 arrived. 2 did not and even thought I have been calling the VIP line every week for the past 4 months, I have not received the other goods that I paid for. VIP lies continually, saying they have "escalated" it and that it is a different company that does the shipping, which they have no authority over. But they had no problem charging my VISA an outrageous price for these VIP tickets which were at the 500 level (in other words, worst seats in the Skydome) -- a total rip-off. Nevertheless, I am furious that I paid for goods and they dont give a damn about providing them. Too much time has elapsed since they were purchased (3 months before the concert) and the fact that they did give the tickets -- hence I received part of the order, that VISA will not get involved. One of the agents had the audacity to say "Shipments can take 2 months to come from the USA to Canada so I should wait the 2 months to see if it arrives!" I hit the roof and told her she was crazy if she thought I was going to wait 2 months until i call them again -- and if in fact it was sent, then I want the tracking number. Of course, there was none. I would NEVER order VIP tickets from Ticketmaster Again! They don't care that they ripped me off, and that my daughters are extremely disappointed.

Ticketmaster Bad Tickets

Back before Christmas, I bought tickets for the NKOTBSB concert being held at the ACC in Toronto, Ontario on June 9th 2011. I spent $110 for each ticket, I bought two. The tickets that I purchased were supposed to be "rear view" but somehow that turned into OBSTRUCTED view.

When we got to our seats, we noticed right away that there was a black curtain and a bunch of wires in our way, blocking our view of the stage completely. We were not impressed, and neither were the other people in our section. Us, and about ten other people seated around us went to Customer Service to complain.

After missing the first 20 minutes of the concert the man that was supposed to help us told us that there was nothing he could do. Understandable, it was a sold out show, however, to make the situation worse his attitude was extremely rude. He made remarks that were very unprofessional and he basically gave us nothing but sarcasm. He down talked us as well, telling us that we should of spent more money and we wouldn't have this problem.

I am a Mother of maternity leave and my sister, who attended the concert with me, is a student in high school, neither one of us would of spent that much money on a ticket if it were explained that it would be an obstructed view. There is a difference between seeing a concert from the rear and not seeing it at all.

We are very upset and angry about the situation and we would like something done about it. I have pictures of our view as well.

The man we spoke to was an Event Personal at the Toronto Air Canada Centre by the name of Don. I asked him for his last name but he wouldn't tell me.
You can reply to my email or cell;

Ticketmaster They put us on hold for 20 or so minutes

I ordered two tickets for the Earth Wind, Fire & Chicago performance in Atlanta Ga on April 1st. (Guess I wound up getting April fooled) but I'm in no way done of being screwed over. I received my confirmation for two seats PIT ROW BBB Seats 15 & 16. Made arrangements as soon as I got the printed confirmation for an awesome surprise for my best friend to fly in from California for the weekend to see her favorite group. I Went yesterday to my local Publix supermarket to pick up my tickets and they were having trouble printing them out. The manager kept entering my confirmation number and even called ticketmaster and they had no idea at the time other then to have the manger re-scan my credit card and try again. After three different people from Ticketmaster had no idea what was wrong they transferred us to a supervisor. They put us on hold for 20 or so minutes and said these tickets were released accidentally and wanted to move me like 50 or so rows back. I'm not paying over $200.00 to go from the second row to the last row in Orchestra. If anyone knows or want to join in a lawsuit count me in or tell me how we do this. If we would have screwed up with purchasing tickets, ticketmaster would say oh well, your problem and so be it. Well its okay for them to make a mistake? I don't think so.

Ticketmaster Buying Dallas Mavericks Game 3 Tickets

I called into the phone system at 10:00 when tickets went on sale. I was able to get 4 tickets held, section 329, row ? seats 9-12. When it didn't read the row, I asked it to repeat information. It did, again the row was blank. I said I wanted to purchase them, it verified I wanted to purchase them. I said yes. It said it didn't understand me, I said yes, it said please hold while I transfer you to a customer service representative. 25 minutes later, not only did the representative tell me the tickets were gone and the game was sold out, but she had an attitude of "I don't care". She didn't speak or show any concern at all. I realize this is a popular event and that getting tickets was going to be a challenge, but to have 4 tickets ready to be purchased and loose them because of some system error is UNACCEPTABLE!

Ticketmaster scam

I purchased under $30 tickets to the Jason Derulo concert for April 6th, 2011, and was charged $157.20 for two tickets that were in the $15-$20 seats. I contacted ticket liquidator who said that songticketing.com is responsible for the actual selling of my concert. All of these vendors / brokers need to be sued: Ticketmaster, Ticket Liquidator, and Song Ticketing. They all just pass it off responsibility to the next vendor or broker. Can anyone file a class action suit against these companies and allow for those who purchased tickets within the past few years to be part of this class action suit? To add insult to injury, Jason Derulo only performed for 45 minutes!

Hello there! I'm an employee of TicketLiquidator responding to the customer above. We're sorry for the customer's unhappiness with the ticket price, but there seems to be some confusion...

Briefly, we at TicketLiquidator are simply a network through which licensed companies resell tickets to events. This means we don't actually own, price, nor ship the tickets you see listed for sale on our website. All that responsibility is in the hands of individual ticket sellers who list tickets through us. Typically, these sellers price tickets based on their perception of the event’s popularity. As a result, the prices of tickets sold through our website are usually either above or below their face value. In this case, Song Ticketing was the company who supplied the customer's order (aka: the seller of the purchase).

On that note, the mark-up in ticket prices on the resale market is designed to cover the numerous expenses incurred by sellers to obtain hard-to-get tickets. To access tickets, these sellers pay face value plus additional fees and/or have fee-paying memberships in special fan clubs and/or sometimes even pay their own mark-up fee by buying tickets from other resellers. The major point of the resale market is both to keep tickets on the market long after primary sources (eg: the venue) are otherwise sold out and also to allow early access to ticket guarantees before the general onsale of tickets for an event.

Added to that, I should mention that we at TL advertise our status as a ticket resale website throughout our website, including in our FAQ, in our Glossary, in our Terms and Policies, on our Feedback Page, and above every ticket listing in "The TicketLiquidator Lowdown" -- so it's not a facet of our business that we try to hide.

Lastly, I'm also sorry if the customer was unhappy that Jason Derulo didn't perform long enough, but I'm afraid that TL doesn't have any impact on the length of a performer's time on the stage. We'd nevertheless be happy to offer the customer concerned a discount on a future order to try and help him or her access a better time!

Please email us at customersupport@ticketliquidator.com with your order ID number and "COMPLAINTS BOARD" in the subject line. :-)

Ticketmaster Horrible customer service

I don't buy tickets very often because I have panic attacks when I know that I have to go through Ticketmaster. This experience was no exception! I live in El Paso, Texas but was trying to buy tickets to an Adele show in Seattle in June. My cousin had no luck on the Ticketmaster website so she contacted me to try calling. I was at work and couldn't spend a ton of time trying to call you to find out if the show was sold out. However, MY time must not be a concern because I was on hold for 10+ minutes and my call was never answered.

Ticketmaster has to be kidding me! I am completely stumped as to why any building or promoter would use their services to piss off their customers. Never again will I allow Ticketmaster to frustrate me and waste my time. No artist is important enough as far as I am concerned.

Ticketmaster charged for tickets that never arrived in the mail

On Jan. 9th 2011 I purchased 3 tickets to see Adam Carolla live in Napa Ca. on Feb. 4th from Ticketmaster. I have been using Ticketmaster for a few years with no issues. My credit card was charged $156 & change. The tickets never arrived in the mail. A week before the show, I e-mailed Ticketmaster to inform them that my tickets had not hit my mailbox yet. I don't know if anybody ever read that e-mail. On the evening of the show I called my 2 friends that I was taking & informed them that the plans were canceled. On Monday I called Ticketmaster & after jumping thru several hoops I spoke with a human. He looked up my transaction and informed me that "THE TICKETS HAD NEVER BEEN PRINTED" This explains why they never got mailed to me. I asked him for a refund or a raincheck for another show. He put me on hold briefly, returned after speaking with his manager & informed me that "There was nothing we can do for you" NADA, S.O.L. This is unacceptable for Ticketmaster to treat their customers this way. I have disputed the charge with my credit card company. I will NEVER use Ticketmaster again!

Ticketmaster Offering seats to more people online at one time.

I spent two hours on Friday trying to finalize two seats in the risers for the Ron White show on Jan. 21. 2011. I had two seats that I was trying to finalize. When I got to the payment part it went blank after it said my payment was approved, but I couldn't get to the confermation to get the tickets. I went through this process again and again for over two hours. I kept checking to see if they took out the payment and they didn't so I kept trying. When I got home I tryed again but the tickets I wanted had been sold. The only tickets left were in the nose bleed section.
I contacted ticketmaster and they sent me an email stating they would contact me within the hour. They sent an email within the hour stating that they would find me seats ASAP. The following day I wrote them another email wondering if they were closed over the weekend. When they contacted me they told me that even though I had the tickets I really didn't because other people are offered the same tickets at the same time. This makes no sense to me. To make a long story short. They did offer me tickets the next day in the nose bleed section. I won't be going to see Ron White because they don't have any good tickets left.
I don't think it is fair that ticketmaster is the only way to get tickets to shows.

Barb Mattison

Ticketmaster Never recieved tickets

I ordered my tickets for the Cotton Bowl in September. Waited for the e-mail saying my tickets were sent out- never came. Waited and never received them by October. Five representatives later... The first two lied to me over the phone and said they would cancel the original tickets and resend new ones. The two were via e-mail and they informed me I had to pick them up at will call- at the box office. When I informed them I was giving the tickets as a gift they said 'no problem' I just have to give the people who are going my credit card information. Umm, yeah that's a problem. I don't just hand out a copy of my c.c. front and back. So, I called to explain it to another rep. and he, lacking any customer service skills, informed me they are not responsible for the mail or the customers receiving the tickets. Also, I could send the person to the box office without my c.c. info. but they might refuse entry- in which case there is nothing they can do. Wow. I chose ticketmaster for their credibility, but I made a huge mistake. Will never happen again.

Ticketmaster Refund/Reissue

i ordered tickets for the chicago shedd aquarium for june 13th.they send me tickets for saturday june 12th. i called to complain and see if they could just send me new tickets since it was already paid for.they told me no they couldnt do that since they were no longer selling tickets for the 12th.i said well this is ridiculous i ordered tickets for the 13th and on your end screwed up and sent me tickets for the wrong date, they relpiled by saying they couldnt reissue due to all sales being final, and that they couldnt resell tickets for that date. they were unwilling to refund or reissue tickets for the proper date after numerous phone calls. and even after i disputed the charges with my bank and them trying to contact for information with no returned phone calls! I will NEVER use this comapny again! they are only out to get the money they could care less what happens after they get that credit card number!

Ticketmaster Failure to deliver merchandise

After purchasing a Concert Package through Ticketmaster the offer was changed to include worthless merchandise. I contacted Ticketmaster whom after rudely transferring me around from call center to call center, passed me off to Randy Braverman of Brothers Merchandising. A man who seems helpful at first, but simply keeps putting you off in the hopes you will go away. The overall plan here is to deliver the junk they substituted your items for as close to the concert date as possible and keep you questioning it long enough to make your credit card company unable to reverse the charges they made to your card. In the end both Randy Braverman and Ticketmaster both prove to not be concerned with customer service and ethical business, but only concerned with how much money they can make.

Ticketmaster False claims

Paid £285 each for 2 VIP experience tickets.

Face value of tickets £70 (ok).

Recieved a programme worth £15 leaving a balance of £200.

This £200 got me 3 drinks and a mouthful of food.

The service was disgusting and at one point the bar ran out of beer.

The information we recieved before the event was non existant and we spent the first half hour walking backwards and forwards until eventually we got to the so called "VIP Area" in this case a place called The Loft. While sitting there we spoke to other couples who felt exactly the same as us and it appeared to all of us the only way you can obtain decent tickets for big events such as this, is to buy a package.

This is something i will never do again and i will be asking TicketMaster how they justify the prices that we had to pay.

I feel i deserve some sort of explanation and even compensation for the false claims i was given before the event on the TicketMaster website.

Ticketmaster is just a payment gateway for events across the world. They practically hold the patent for purchasing venue tickets online.

Your beef should be with whoever held this event, and you may want to actually reach out to TicketMaster and complain to THEM. If the event promoters are not delivering what they promised, TicketMaster may be able to blacklist them to protect their own reputation.

TicketMaster merely gets a "scalping fee" for tickets they sell. My complaint is with the mark-up on this online "convenience fee." I needed to get tickets for a concert and they were only offering them exclusively through TicketMaster. There was a $7 fee on a $25 ticket. I needed 6 tickets. We took our chances and bought our tickets at the door.

Ticketmaster Bill Cosby Show Tunica, MS

This is ridiculous, our tickets were canceled and we were never called! We had exceptional seats one row from the stage for the Bill Cosby performance at the Horshoe Casino in Tunica, MS! When a friend said the date was changed for the show we assumed that we would be reissued however we were not so now we are stuck taking the worst seats in the house. I work in Corporate Guest Satisfaction research and I can tell you this is an unacceptable and frankly extremely shady business practice. I will certainly post my concerns to every social media site available including Twitter, Facebook, ConsumerAffairs.com, etc. as I would hate for anyone else to get caught up in these unscrupulous business practices.

Ticketmaster Fraudulent Credit Card Charges

03.25.2010 Just saw the charge on my credit card statement from Complete Savings that put me over the limit. When I called the number, I was informed that it was from when I purchased tickets from Ticketmaster and checked a box for this on checkout screen. The last time I purchased tickets was for Rob Zombie back in OCTOBER! They give you a 30-day 'free' trial, then start charging your card $12 per month. This just happened to be the first time their charges put me over the limit! What a crock.

I just went through the same ordeal. I checked my account and noticed a $12 charge to something I had no idea of, even went as far as quizzing the wife on what she was buying, of course she had no clue as to what I was talking about. I called the number only to find out that $12 has been coming out of my account now for the past 9 months. I was told that this came from a transaction through ticketmaster, and guess what, nobody at ticketmaster has a clue who Complete Saving even is. This is completely wrong in several ways, first why is ticketmaster giving out my information without my consent? Why is it that when ticketmaster is questioned they have no clue who Complete Savings is. This is sooo wrong and I am sure that this company banks (literally) o n the fact that people don't check their accounts close enough and that $12 will fly under the radar. I suggest all to file a complaint with the BBB and also lodge a complaint with your State's Attorney General's office. I did and will also file fraud with my credit card company. Good Luck to all who was SCAMMED by this pathetic company.

Ticketmaster Concert in Venue with unannounced curfew

Should you be told that a venue will close a show early?
Ticketmaster handled tickets for Joanna Newsom's concert on March 13 at the Phoenix in Toronto. It was billed as an early show, doors open at 6:00pm -- no other qualifiers noted. The opening band played a modest set, then there was a prolonged set-up for Newsom's band. She got to the stage late, around 8:00pm, and after playing for around an hour she announced to the crowd that the venue had told her that she could not play past 9:00 pm, because they double book the club for a dance and drink event at 10:00.
NICE. So she finished her song and left, no time for an encore -- and they herded us to the doors.

Ticketmaster Lied about a $40 cash back

Jan/2010. Ticket Master told me about a $40 off on the tickets I had just purchased and transferred me to Travelers Advantage. I was to get a credit right away for the purchased tickets.

I listened to the Travelers Advantage spiel. I signed up for $1, as a trial. I was to get $40 off on the tickets I had just purchased.

I got my membership number right away. Then I got my savings certificates to send in.

They expired December, 2009. And they are 4-$10 certificates requiring an original receipt from Ticket Master. I did all my ordering and received my "tickets" online. There was no receipt.

After reading all the bad stuff online about this group. I plan to cancel immediately.

Ticketmaster Refund

In August 19, 2009 I took my family to the Paul McCartney concert in Dallas, a long awaited event that my children (9 and 12 years-old) were very excited to be attending. I purchased 4 floor tickets. As was to be expected, it was very crowded. My 9 year old son had been the most excited of all to get to see Paul play. A lot of people brought their kids to the concert.
However, the pleasure was short lived. A couple seated behind us, drinking the whole time, took all the pleasure out of the event. When Paul started to play all the other kids were standing on their seats in order to see. My 9 year old son, who is only about 3-3/4 ft. tall, asked my permission to stand on his seat, and I let him. The woman behind us complained even though she was sitting directly behind me and to the left of my son. She and her boyfriend complained that they would get security. I took it upon myself to talk to security as well and was told it was okay for him to stand on his seat.
After a few minutes the woman went to get another beer and returned, followed by security. Without a word to me, security abruptly pointed to my son and made him sit down. He started crying, curled up in his seat and eventually cried himself to sleep. He missed the entire concert because of a very disagreeable drunk. This event security person took it upon himself to make my son sit down even though hundreds of kids remained standing on their seats throughout the performance and no security person approached them. I could not explain to my son why all the other kids were allowed to get up on their seats but not him. I was very uncomfortable having this couple directly behind me holding beer bottles in their hands for the remainder of the concert since they had been very hostile toward us from the moment they sat down.
The ‘event security’ had a communication problem since they did not even agree among themselves whether children should be allowed to stand on their seats. There was no general communication that controlled this situation and it was not applied equally throughout the audience. My point is, security handled this incorrectly, they should first have gotten my attention before abruptly correcting my son. Next, the correction should have been equally applied to all. We were singled out among many to be the exception to the rule and it was my whole family that suffered. What was to have been a high point in our vacation was turned into a disaster.
Now I'm requesting Ticketmaster to reimburse me for the price of only me and my son’s tickets ($390.10). I feel it is only fair that I pay for my other son’s and wife’s tickets. I feel that TicketMaster, as the vendor providing the service should be responsible for this decision. I expect a contractor to be accountable for all subcontractors who render the services purchased. We were denied the right to enjoy the service provided even though others doing exactly the same thing were allowed to continue and enjoy the concert.
American Express has contacted TicketMaster several times and they have refused to give me a refund. They have even refused to a 3 way conference call with American Express and me, in order to resolve this issue.
Also, American Express does NOT protect their customers when they don’t receive the services their customers pay for. I contacted their legal department on this issue, and I was basically told that they will not interfere with TicketMaster’s decision.
Let this be a warning to those people that charge their concert tickets on American Express.
I should have charged the tickets on Visa, because I know they will protect their customers.

well ticketmaster is the contractor for the promoter.

So in essence your complaint would be with the promoter as they are the highest contractor in this case.

But in terms of an event, your concern with other guests is in the hands of the venue and not ticketmaster.

Your seat was there, you paid for a ticket, they did their job.

Ticketmaster Ticket Cancellation

This is regarding the Zac Brown Band concert in Nashville TN. I bought the tickets online and my card was even charged. However, I found out 3 hours before the show that my ticket was actually cancelled. Needless to say I did not get to see the concert which I have waited for and planned about.

After finding out that my ticket was cancelled, the staff from the Ryman Auditorium called your customer service department and was told that the reason why it was cancelled is because the debit card that I used in buying the ticket was flagged in connection with the first occasion wherein the NBA Lakers-Piston game was cancelled.

That time, November 17, 2009 to be exact my bank held my debit card for "anomalous" activity. That prompted your end to cancel the tickets I bought. I called your customer service and was lucky enough to get another set of tickets for the same game. The girl I spoke to was able to use the same debit card I used after telling her that is where I put my money. She furthermore advised me that I should not worry about using the same debit card in buying tickets from Ticketmaster in the future since she removed the flag on the card.

Came the concert of Zac Brown Band on Dec 28, 2009 at The Ryman Auditorium. Again, to my surprise, the ticket was cancelled because of the fact that my card was still flagged on your system and NOT with my bank. That was the 2nd time you cancelled my purchase without even advising me of the situation.

I flew 12 thousand miles from Manila, Philippines to Orlando Florida and then drove from there to Nashville for about 11 hours JUST to see the band in concert. I paid $2500 for my plane ticket and spent another $3000 for my accomodation, food, gas and other necessities.

Spending almost $6000 of my hard earned money on a concert event only to miss it because of a great lapse on your part is way beyond upsetting! Then your staff told me the most you can do is to put back the money back to my account! It's just about right because you declined my purchase for the 2nd time when I was assured that it won't happen again!

You make millions of money on marks up prices and that is the most that you could offer? I would not be like this had I not gone through all that hardships just to see my favorite band. But because of your incompetence and irresponsible handling of problems, I have to go home to Manila extremely upset and disappointed.
