Read my experience with them below:

*Short Version*
I purchased a power leveling package for $140. They were quick to take my money, but my account got banned in less than a weeks time! They refuse to do anything about it and gave me the ‘run-around’ for the last two weeks. I have contacted their manager and PL supervisor many times and now they have simply resorted to just ignoring customers who are in trouble. They offered me nothing for compensation at all!!! They take NO responsibility for your account at all. I pretty much just threw away $140 and got myself a ban.
I am extremely disgusted with this company as they are simply scammers and thieves. Read my long version to find out what I mean by ‘disgusting service’.

*Long version*

Because of the nature of my job, I do not have much time to play WoW. And a close friend of mine always wanted me to join in for some end game fun. I know that reaching the highest level in WoW is ‘just the beginning of the fun’, so I decided to have a power leveler on my account to take it to the highest level as quick as possible.

After reviewing some comparative prices around the net, I stumbled upon a site by the name of

I must admit at first I was naïve to choose a company that offered one of the cheapest prices for power leveling. That was my first mistake!

The reason I decided to try out ItemRate was because it was:
1 – Cheap! (They had a special going on at the time)
2 – there were a few orders currently there and they seemed to have a big customer base
3 – their FAQ was written very well, as a of fact this is a quote from their website:

I ordered a power-leveling package, which was advertised for $119 which was meant to get my toon from level 1 – 60.

But then when I proceeded to checkout, they then changed the price to $140 (WTF?). Ok, so what the hell... an extra $20 I paid.

But then when I paid them the money, I got an invoice from a company by the name of ‘THSALE’. I wasn’t very happy because I did a quick Google on ‘THSALE’ and a couple of bad reviews popped up. But I guess I will still let the order go through anyway...

My character was level 30 when I handed the account over to them. They were consistently on for the first few days. I made a free trial account and logged on when I got a few minutes to spare and would always see my guy online.

But then a few days later, it was off for a long period of time. I thought they would be probably taking a break (?), but a day later I got an email from them THSALE asking me why I changed my password and that I need to give them my new password to continue the service.

I called Blizzard and recovered my password. Then I found out my account got banned for violating their EULA – using third party software. I was furious! Their website stated they do not use third party software! They lied! I went onto Live Chat and it was the most ridiculous experience ever! They would give you the ‘run-around’ and you would end up back in the beginning with NOTHING solved!

Everytime I went into the live chat, I spoke to someone different (but I’m sure the names are just randomized always operated by a few guys), and they would ALWAYS give me the ### like ‘maybe your friends use it and changed the PW’ or ‘maybe you changed the PW but forgot’. How many times do I have to tell them my account got ###ing BANNED!

Then after a heap of convoys and emails, they decided to accept the fact that my account got banned. I demanded a refund immediately, because there is no way in hell I am going to let them continue. If I get banned again, I’ll lose my account forever, and the chances of that happening (as already demonstrated – is high). They said to email the “PL supervisor” – ‘’ which I did – several times, and got ignored. So I attempted to add this ###er to my MSN, which I surprisingly saw him online the moment after!

The conversation went something like this (I cut out a lot of introductory material):

ME says:
so what will happen if it gets banned again with a permanent ban?
PL售� says:
we really don't hope this happen
PL售� says:
if it happens, i really don't know how to help u (ßWTF?)
ME says:
wtf? i trusted you with my money.

PL售� says:
how about like this
PL售� says:
u get ur account back first
PL售� says:
and we refund ur money which we didn't done
PL售� says:
cause blizzard really would ban it again
ME says:
ME says:
how much is that?
PL售� says:
we would refund u 85$
PL售� says:
tell me ur paypal email
ME says:
so when? Now?
PL售� says:

i need to get the Signature for it

Okay, so I was feeling slightly more better after hearing that from their ‘PL supervisor’.

Then a few days goes by, I check my PayPal and still nothing! I saw him on MSN the following night and attempted to ask him again. And guess what? After I address the issue I immediately see him ‘offline’. I logged onto my alternative MSN account (which he doesn’t know of) and added him again, which he accepted and responded with a ‘How may I help you?’. Then when I logged back onto my main MSN account to re-check, the ###er is offline! So be blocked me and ignored me! I tried to speak to him using my alternative account, he soon realized who I was and just continues to ignore me.

So I went onto Live Chat and demanded to speak with the boss! I was fuming! I have never engaged such disgusting method of business and service in my life! After a long time explaining the situation to the operator (again), he/she says to me the boss is not in and I have to wait maybe 4 hours (notice the ‘maybe’).

The following day after work I attempted again to contact Live Chat to speak to the boss, this time, they refuse to let me speak to him, saying that they can help me with the problem instead. I told them that I’ve simply had it with this ###, just give me his email. And they did – turned out to be some manager by the name of Essence Wu. I told the operator that (the PL supervisor I spoke to on MSN) was rude to me and I was ignored, I wanted to speak to the manager about this, and to my surprise, the operator responded with a ‘lol’.

I attempted to email this Essence Wu guy (manager) SEVERAL FREAKING TIMES, and finally he got back to me saying if the PL supervisor agreed to refund u then ok, just talk to him and he will sort it out. HOW THE HECK DO I TALK TO HIM WHEN HE BLOCKED ME ON MSN AND WILL NOT REPLY MY EMAILS? I again attempted to email this Essence guy many times with no reply whatsoever. I again logged onto Live Chat and demanded the manager to speak to me now over Live Chat, and the operator simply just IGNORED ME!

They are giving me the complete run-around! I contact Live Chat, they tell me to contact the manager, the manager tells me to contact the PL supervisor, and the PL supervisor will just ignore you. And mind you, these guys take days to reply you.

I even said to the manager, OKAY, look I will buy a new CD-Key and you can restart the power level on that account 1-60. That’s fair. His email reply was “yes, I think so too” and since then I never heard from him again!

Up until now, I’ve had zero compensation. These guys take your money fast! I mean real fast! But they treat you like ###!

It was in their responsibility to take care of my account when I paid them for their service. Yet they refuse to do anything about it when they ### up.

    I wish I have read your story before using their ###ed service. In my opinion, they are simply scammers. I ordered a package leveling a character from 1-70 which should be done in less than 27 days. Guess what!! After 30+ days, they were still way behind the objectives and the next thing I know was Blizzard banned my account!!! I really think they tried to get it banned so that they don't have to finish it while keeping my money.

    Hi there, you guys are not the only ones. I purchased 2 orders from them 1st one is 1-40, which turned out to be fine. 2nd one 1-60 that was back in 06. My account got banned when my ton was at level 40. 1) They level 24 hours...2) They level in China...3)They even use bots ..Sigh.. I hate those heartless Chinese scammers.

    I also fell for it. I used PL server when burning crusade came out to level up a shaman and used which i didn't know was also Both are horrible in customer service. Stay away! To make a long story short, whatever they said to you they said to me. The only thing they can do is provide the lost amount of money I used to pay for service in transaction of wow gold, meaning I had to buy another account and tell them to send me gold on my new character and account which they also didn't do.

    Agrred Item rate not only is another baad service GMWorker Not only but the absolute WORSTE are ANY and I mean ANY of the 666 businesses.

    these guys wont even go as far as you got your people togo.

    Well, hats off for wow , theyre actually managing to keep the game fair..... yeah right whatever.

    I'm just now dealing with this so-called "reputable" company that has never had a a constumer complain and say their account go banned. In less than 4 days I've been temporarily banned, and atfer reading these, it's obvious I've made a huge mistake. I wish i would have read these much sooner.
    Can't the be sued or something for false advertisement?

    BS. my account has been banned from trading or selling items. so its pretty much useless. i spent $21.70. My avatar was already ballin' as it was. so ive lost it all. i talked to one of the chat support guys and they swore it wasnt cause of them bc it had never happened to any of their customers. Then i told them i emailed gaia and they told me it was for buying the gold. so Yeah, it WAS their fault.
    all they could reply to me with was
    "is there anything else i can help you with today"

    idk i take it safe, just bought gaia gold with thsale, but it through a system of mules and other accounts to an item people sell min 50k-100m and bids so it wont ban.

    I've bought from 2 times to a game called MapleStory. First time I got my mesos within 30 mins (I wrote my phone numb wrong 3 times xD) Second time is still not filled because I am buying in the European server and they was banned twice there trying to collect my money. My opinion is to buy cash from them and not PL.

    Wow I should of did research before I bought from them. This is what happened so for my level 40 hunter I needed money so I bought like 500g from them came out to be legit got them money I even messed up the faction and they fixed that so I was like this is legit. So I decided to make a character on my friends realm which he played on I leveled till 10 and saw that they had this PL thing so I did the PL to 1-60 and my bro wanted one to so he did one to 1-60 so thats like 140 bucks or so idk. Well they took well over 8 days for each character my char was at 33 and he got suspended for something so I talked to them on live chat blah blah and like 2 weeks later got my account back gave it to them BAM got it banned again when my first char reached to 44 so I went on live chat they said they didn't get him banned I was like then who did and all this crap so they say email the manager and if you get a new account we can level your guy to 40... 40 i ordered to 60 they are total scammers don't trust

    i ordered 3000g from itemrate and they devlivered it and dcid not get my account banned i think if you only buy g and not PL you be okay but it worked for me

    I bought _ALOT_ of gold from and always got what i ordered. As for powerleveling, i bought 1-60 for my friends shaman account, after 3 days they asked me why i changed my pasword, then after i checked the account had gotten a temp ban, and they refused to start lvling again. This is indeed ###.

    I do know of a company that is trustworthy tho, its
    I know them from when i used to play Lineage2, and if you compare Gmbar's prices with itemrate you will see its cheaper, but yeah they have more expensive PL, but atleast they PL. On Lineage2 they even have a section, asking if you want PL with Bot, or manual ;)

    Im not advertising for, im just speaking from experience.
