Thomsom RCA / Bulb replacement
Bought a dlp replacement lamp #265109 for my rca hd61thw263yx1 tv. Order #73209110 was bought on 08/15/2007 with an 1 year warranty included with the bulb which was actually shipped from Thomson consumer parts for $483.00, freight $9.95 sales tax $34.51 for a total of 527.46. Was even told in the email that i have ti something happens within the year to call the warranty dept at [protected] for a replacement. Well i started calling the warranty dept. Yesterday 06/30/08 at 10:10am est from loganville, ga... well i first got a clerk i guess named Courtney, who started asking a bunch of questions for the tv, such as serial and model number. I told her several times that it was for a dlp bulb replacement and after 20 mins (on cell phone) she says we don't handle that, only tvs, so she told me to call the parts dept. At [protected], could not transfer, so i called and went to the pool as expected, then finally another clerk is guess named David answered and i tried to explain to him the prob and after 15 mins with him he says they don't handle warranties only parts, which i tried to explain was a replacement part. So he says no, and tell me to call back to warranty dept.could not transfer again. called warrant dept and back in pool, finally got another clerk named Sandra and i tried to explain to her and she says no have to call back tp parts dept, told her no i was tired of this and wanted a supervisor, after another 5 or mins or so on hold got a supervisor named Brent Murdock ID#l63l63134, who came to the phone and tells me he cannot help me cause they don't do warranties either, so i said again who does and he parts, that i would have to call back to parts. I finally asked him to help me and pleaded for help that i had been sent back and forth between depths now going on an hour or more. I asked him to call a supervisor in the parts dept for me and tell him what was going on and to try and help me, he refused and kept saying not his problem or his dept. So finally after almost begging this supervisor to help me he refused and told me to call the parts dept and demand to talk to supervisor. So almost in tears and begging for help, i called the parts dept again and David again who refused to let me speak to a supervisor, said that he could not help me. I demanded to speak to supervisor and he put me on hold, finally after another 5 or 10 mins realized even thou they cant transfer calls, this David had put me on hold and transfered me back to warranty dept. once i realized this i called back to parts dept and Robin answered and i told her what was going on and she said the supervisor could not help. Finally after demanding and pleading again and about to have a heart attack from all the stress as she could tell put another supervisor on the line his name was robert robi, who refused to give me his boss or anybody that i could talk to and would not give me his ID#, refused to let me talk to his boss or give me away to talk to someone above him and i am actually so pissed off and in such stress that when i finally got off the phone i had to take medication and go to bed, i think i was on the verge of a heart attack. ant how Robert robin still refused to help. Told me to call warranty dept again and i refused. finally talked to Erin who said he was trying to send an email to Thomsom consumer parts to see if they would help me. got an email form thomsom saying i have no warranty for a year. This is incorrect, ordered bulb over internet last year and have have paper to fill not for dlp television lamp replacement process, which says to fill in info and to call warranty dept. Well its not the matter of the warranty any more. I spent over 2 hours on a cell phone and these 5 to6 people have put me thru pure hell and back again. this is uncalled for and something needs to be down about this immediately. I know you big companies think you can treat us little people like this but i will not let this rest. I want something done about this. I am thinking about going to the trouble to hire an attorney. I t would be worth all i own to get something done about this.
This is sick, uncalled for, ridiculous and just down right dirty way to treat a consumer in usa. You will probably just through this in the trash but i have names numbers times and copies of everything. This is un called for. What if i had actually had a heart attack. you send this to someone who actually cares and just see what they would have done. I work for AT&T, if had done something like this to a customer, the company would have been sued.
