THOMPSONS DODGE / DENIED WARRANTY

1 Baltimore, MD, United States Review updated:

DEALER HAS REFUSED TO FIX VEHICLE FOR BROKEN FUEL INJECTORS. HAS HAD THE VEHICLE FOR 6 WEEKS. GENERAL MANAGER TOLD ME THAT THEY HAVE LOST THERE TAIL ON THE DIESEL ENGINE REPAIRS AND NOW IS REFUSING TO FIX MY VEHICLE. FIRST THEY TOLD ME I HAD VOIDED MY WARRANTY DUE TO AN AFTERMARKET AIR FILTER THEN THEY SAID I HAD BAD FUEL. I ASKED FOR A SAMPLE OF THE FUEL AND THEY CHANGED THERE STORY AGAIN.

Call Dodge if you feel it's a warranty issue. 1-800-4ADODGE

An aftermarket air filter won't cause fuel injector problems. Even if you had bad gas it should still be covered if you are still under your drive train warranty. What Dodge will not cover is if there has been any modifications done to the vehicle like aftermarket computers, transmission, exhaust, turbo ETC. What they will also flag is if you have used "red" fuel as in industrial diesel which is only suppose to be used in farm equipment. If the vehicle is out of manufactures warranty then it's up to the selling dealer if they want to cover it themselves (good will) because you bought it there. Most will not.
