Thompson Cigar Thompson cigar and total value plus

I finally got around to check a recurring monthly payment of $ 14.95 on my bank statement. I found out that Thompson's Cigars has been stealing $ 14.95 per month from me conveniently from my account which I used when I purchased some cigars from them.

I never sign up for any clubs or any recurring monthly payments.

I am furious with Thompsons and will never buy another cigar from them ever again. I've been a long time customer...never again.

Someone should go to jail!

Thompson Cigar Unauthorized credit card charges

April 12, 2021 Thompson Cigar Co Phila enrolled me in a Value Plus Plan for $14.95 per month without my approval.
Charge is in dispute with my credit card company.
I will contact Thompson Cigar Co on Monday April 19, 2021.
Cancelling this phony subscription and a return of my $14.95 is the only acceptable outcome.

Thompson Cigar Total value plus (from thompson cigars

Hi,

I have been charged these past 5-6 months a $14.95 fee for I don't know what. I have purchase cigars from this company (Thompson Cigar) but to my knowledge never signed up for anything. In fact, I contacted them last month and asked them to stop!

Don't know what to do at this point but will try contacting them again. This is really irritating not to mention a $ rip off!

Thompson Cigar My regular club shipment of cigars

I received my regular club shipment last week. My chase credit card was billed twice for $98.71 on January 14 and January15. I called Customer service 3 times last week and told the first charge was a pre-authorization charge and it will be removed tomorrow - 3 different days I was told this. As of January the 24th, I still have both charges on my account. If I can't get this resolved tomorrow, I will open a dispute/fraud charge with my bank, send back my cigars, challenge both charges (not just the one) and cancel my club membership with Thompson.

Thompson Cigar I am complaining about being enrolled in the thompson co. Inc: total values plan when I ordered cigars.

I ordered a small number of cigars in December 2020 and in January received a charge on my credit card for $14.95 from Thompson Cigar. I did not sign up for their Total Values plus plan when I ordered the cigars and was surprised to see a charge from them on my Citicard alerts. I immediately called Citibank to inform them; but they said they had to wait until it was posted. This is an unauthorized charge.

Thompson Cigar Scam website

On December 1st, I placed an order for a box of cigars with a gist set. I did receive confirmation for my order so I called a week later and was told that the item was on backorder, but would arrive before Christmas. On 12/14, I was unsure that the item would arrive in time so I called to cancel. Again, I did not receive confirmation. On 12/18, my card was charged for the purchase that I cancelled. I initiated an online chat and was told that the order was not cancelled, but I could send it back when I received it. The representative sent me a return label. On 12/24, the item showed as delivered on the tracking, however, I did not receive it. I called to report this and was told that I would have to wait until 12/31 to file a missing package report. On 12.31, I still had not received my package and called to request a refund. The representative specifically asked if I wanted a refund or a credit and I stated refund. She stated that the request was complete and I'd get a refund to the original form of payment in 3-7 days. On 1/8, I still had not received the refund, so I initiated a chat again and was told that the refund was processed as a credit and would have to be sent as a check, that I would get in 2-3 weeks! I don't know that I am ever going to get a refund, I don't believe the item was ever shipped and I think this is a scam website.

Thompson Cigar Cigars

Placed my first order with Thompson Cigars. I made sure everything was in stock. Paid for upgraded shipping. Receive an email receipt everything was going to ship out. On August 15th received a shipping email saying the bulk of my order was not in stock, but would ship out as soon as they arrive. I waited and waited no word. Today Sept 2nd I called CS to be told not only were they not in stock they are discontinued. They can not substitute so after waiting almost a month with no communication from the company I am told so sorry... screw you! Do not order from THOMPSON CIGARS!

Thompson Cigar Refusing to return my money after a fraudulent purchase

My card was charged $58.97 for a sampler package that I never ordered and upon receiving them I immediately return them to Thompson Cigar they have a record that they were returned and now it has been 3 weeks and I still not have received the money back on my card all I can receive is comments and promises that it will happen from the employee's I speak with on the phone and I'm sick of it after doing this with Thompson Cigars for over 10 years I am now taking my business elsewhere

I'm tired of hearing about everyone is working at home because of the covid-19 scare but you were able to use my card make the purchase and then ship it to me just like it was any other day of the week but you cannot find the time or make the effort to promptly returned it the money to me after I made a prompt return back to you and never even open the box because I already knew that I had not place the order

I'm done doing business with Thompson Cigars they have no problems taking your money immediately when you place an order but if something goes wrong and you return their shipment they sure as hell don't want to refund your money

Thompson Cigar failed to honor order / wrong order

I purchased a 20 count box of cigars and received a conformation order stating the order would include a box of 20. When the shipping conformation went out it stated 5 singles. I spoke with the store representative and she guaranteed the order would include a box of 20 count. Once I received the order it only contained a five pack. Thompson Cigars would not honor the 20 count order conformation email stating 20 count box or the verbal guarantee of the 20 count box. I will no longer do business with Thompson Cigars or anyone associated with this company.

Thompson Cigar miss billing

Their move from Florida has created major problems for me. I no longer get an invoice in the box. After making a payment my check was returned without explanation and without an attempt to cash it.
I continue to get billed for a shipment I paid for and have called over 6 times trying to get the situation resolved. After being put on hold for an average of 45 minutes and explaining numerous times the problem as well as providing check numbers there is no resolution. The last call ended with the manager being to busy to talk to me or even hear my issue,

Thompson Cigar ordered cigars on a two occasions and they did not send them.

I've had a very bad experience recently with Thompson cigars. I've been a long lasting customer for a very long time and recently I placed an order with them and the credit card stayed in processing for four days. I never got any correspondence why, any emails, phone calls, nothing. When I called they told me it was an internal problem on their end and that they were working on a resolution. I should note this is the same credit card I always use when I Order From them (weekly). I ended up canceling my order and bought locally. I thought I would give them another try And had the exact same experience as the first time. Identicle experience. Except this time I called on Monday and was told everything looked fine with the order it should ship out on Tuesday. I called on Tuesday and was told that the order is still processing and then I would receive a phone call by 5 PM with the disposition on it. The representative said she would put a rush on the order and have it sent out to me the next day and she would have information for me by 5 PM. I never received a phone call. I called back at 7 PM and was told that they could have the order sent out within two days and all they could do for me was remove the extra shipping that I had paid for. Unfortunately I will never be ordering from Thompson's cigars again. And I will be leaving a review like this on every social media platform.

Thompson Cigar price at checkout did not match credit card charge...

BEWARE: PRICE AT CONFIRMATION PAGE DOES NOT ALWAYS REFLECT PRICE CHARGED TO YOUR CREDIT CARD!

On Saturday, I purchased a box of cigars using a 10% discount coupon and an $8.00 point credit. At the checkout on the website, the discounts were applied, as was my credit card and delivery information. I then received a confirmation email for the purchase which reflected a price that was $12.00 more that what was agreed to at checkout. When I immediately called the company, it was Saturday so they could only allow me to write an email, which I did. Come Monday (today), I called the company since I had not yet received a reply to my email. I was on hold for 45 MINUTES. A customer service associate then had me explain the entire situation which took me about 10 minutes since she kept telling me that the computer may not accept certain discounts. I replied that I am fully aware of how some coupon codes and discounts may not apply when checking out. However, at checkout prior to confirming a purchase, it would state such and the price would not reflect the discount. This was not the case here. The price did reflect the discount at checkout. She then told me that there was nothing she can do. I have ordered from them multiple times before. I then asked to speak to a supervisor. She placed me on hold another 15 minutes just to tell me that no supervisor was available and that she could not give me the price that I accepted at checkout. I am aware that it is only a discrepancy of $12.00 and minimal. However, I am a person who respects principles and am sick an tired of these corporations down-grading customer service without any consequences. If you do decide to purchase from this company, MAKE SURE YOU TAKE A SCREEN SHOT PRIOR TO PRESSING THAT ACCEPT BUTTON ON ANY THOMPSON CIGAR PURCHASES. This way if they want to charge your credit card a higher price than the price you accepted, thus, defrauding you of your money, you are in a better position to dispute. The time and frustration far exceeded the $12.00. But, I will never be purchasing from this company again.

Thompson Cigar $14.95 monthly subscription that was never authorized.

I bought $21 worth of cigars in may/June and since, I have been getting charged a monthly subscription fee of $14.95. This was never authorized, and I disputed the charge both times with my CC company so that it would not get charged. The terms on Thompson's website claim that the club membership is free of charge, so I don't know where they came up with that amount. Clearly they need to be exposed and shut down.

Thompson Cigar returns

Good luck returning anything to Thompson. I was able to obtain a RMA number for them for the return but "due to volume" it takes 7-10 business days for them to email you a return shipping label. Fast forward to today, which is business day 13, I still have not received a return label so I called. After waiting on hold for 15 minutes, the lady finally picks up and says they emailed it twice on July 16. I watch my email like a hawk for work and I 100% did not receive a shipping label, I even went as far as recovering deleted emails from the past month but guess what? Not there either. After basically accusing me of lying, I finally convince her to send it again but she insisted on a different email address because apparently that was the problem. Low and behold, it will be another 7-10 business days for it to be sent to my other email address. I am for some reason not very optimistic about receiving it. They will probably give me the run around until it's outside of the return window. What a joke.

Thompson Cigar website and customer service

07/08/2019 Have tried for a week to change my order on my auto-ship 250 club. Will only let me add more selection and not remove and seems like some sort of scam. When trying to remove cigars and save changes it says "please correct error below" but there is no marked error and it won't remove the cigar. When calling customer service have waited 1/2 hour twice, and an hour the last time that I finally got through only to have the person on the other end lose the connection and hang up on me but not before he tried charging my credit card and crediting it back while I WAS NOT on the phone with him. Oddly enough if I am ordering cigar I get right through in seconds only to have the person be rude to me when I explain the issue and told I can have my issue "expedited" with a 24 hour wait which is the same if I email. How is that "expedited"? With all the expereance I have had with Thompson Cigars thus far I am about to cancel my club account and take my business some where else.

Thompson Cigar wrong order sent

I order my regular cigars on June 8, 2019. The same cigar I always order.

When the order was delivered it wasn't my cigars. It was a box of LaPerla Habana Classic Maduro's.

On June 13 I called customer service. After being hung up on after 40 minutes, I called again. After 30 minute I spoke with "Will", who couldn't help me. I asked for a supervisor.

I than spoke with Supervisor "Marcelo". After a 10 minute conversation he agreed to immediately ship out the Cigar I ordered (Dutch Masters Corona Grapes) and he said within a week or so I would get an email with a shipping label to return the Maduros.

It is July 2. I have still not received my cigars I originally ordered on June 8. Additionally, I have not received the shipping label so I can return the wrong Cigars you sent me.

I have been on hold this morning now for another hour trying to get a Customer Service rep, to no avail. I tried calling the Order Line on my home phone and low and behold someone answered in less than 1 minute. This doesn't say much for your customer service... anyway "Jordan" couldn't do anything for me and said he can move me up in the customer service line. Well I've been on hold on that one for 35 minutes now.

Please respond ASAP. I am leaving on a trip within the next week and badly want my cigars.

Thompson Cigar h. upmann fumas

I ordered some H.Upmann Fumas and were not statisfied; they were difficult to draw and the taste was not to there normal standard. I contacted a clerk and he told me to obtain a return label and sent them back.
I returned the packet of H.Upmann Fumas per your return label. They were sent back on 8 May 2019 . Tracking showed they were received by Thompson on teh 14 of May 2019.

I still have not received credit to my Visa Card!

Your return phone number is bogus, I have been waiting on hold for 30 Minutes!

This company gets your credit card information and charge you every month - first they enroll you in a total values plan without your knowledge and charge you 14.95 a month and then i've been charged 62.35 this month and haven't ordered anything else from them. Ordered one time at 19.95 and now they charge my card every month. Total scam and fraudulent business practice - buyers beware

Thompson Cigar everything

What a scam of a "business." Dont do it! About a month after ordering $80 worth of cigars we decided to order again. As I'm on the phone about a question I'm told I need to go through "age verification" because it's my first time ordering. Well if you read the above correctly you'll see that I in fact ordered one time before without this mythical "age verification." I agreed to go through "age verification" and that consisted of the very confused sounding customer service agent reading my address back to me.

Not 3 hours later customer service calls back and tries to essentially trick me into buying a monthly box of cigars. They made it seem like something was wrong with my current order, asked me what type of cigars I liked and not 5 seconds later I was told it would be like $180 a month. The audacity! If I see 1 penny on my credit card bill from them that I did not authorize, they better pray they got some good lawyers on hand.

These types of people are what's wrong with this country. Tricking and scamming people into buying your product because you can't sell without it. I'm thoroughly disgusted and I wholeheartedly regret sending my money to you in the first place. When every response to a negative yelp review is "we apologize for the inconvenience we've caused you" you might want to rethink your business practices.

I will never ever ever buy cigars and accessories from here ever again and I urge you to do the same. Find somewhere reputable, because this is not it.
