After receiving a gift certificate from my husband worth $250.00 I arrived at this establishment only to be taken into a back room and told that because I had cancelled a previous appointment without 48 hours notice (the appointment had originally been made the day before and cancelled on the same day) the gift certificate I was using was worth nothing. Funny how this women was not willing to have this conversation in front of her coworkers or other clients. I was accused of lying (my daughter had received a last minute medical specialist appointment) and lectured as to how inconsiderate I had been previously. I am still trying to process how my husband spends $250 on a gift certificate for services I have never received and how I am the inconsiderate lyer. I am in disbelief that any employee of a business in such a competative market could continue to be employed anywhere. When I asked to speak to the owner, I was told that she was on vacation with no know date as to her return...really?

This is a spa experience? The absolute opposite of what the brochures and web site advertise. Some advise? Spend your money on a well established, professional, quality spa, don't risk it here!

I completely believe the stories above. The owner began my facial and casually 'recommended' something a bit different, which ended up costing more than double the original price. I was stupid not to ask the price, but still felt ripped off. There are so many better places to go for a facial, where the esthetician doesn't leave you with the blower on your face for 20 minutes of a 60 minute facial. Never again.

I too agree that this spa is a waste of time and money! The staff are rude and pushy. Not to mention the place smells of mould and the decor is from the 1970's. the place is a mishmash of ugly jewelry outdated skin care bags and home decor. Make up your mind, are you a spa or a flea market? Don't waste your time here. There are so many professional and beautiful spas in Durham and its certainly not the case here .

I had actually called this spa to inquire about spa services and the receptionist was rudest I have ever had in my entire life. They seriously need to review their telephone etiquette, well that is only if they want to attract customers.
