Deel service center is a complete rip off. Always overpricing everything, trying to find any way to make a quick buck off of an innocent customer. This place is way over due for new management. It sucks! The whole place just seems a little too shady for my taste, im very unsatisfied with their fake smiles and high prices.

Volkswagen un-professional, untrained,#

The entire buying experience has been a nightmare! Please aviod this dealer ship at all cost. The entire staff needs to be trained from sales to managers! I wish I could return the car what a mistake this car buying experience has been. No return calls from sales to managers! The car I bought was given to me dirty, missing parts, empty fuel tank, scratches and dings, leaking roof, all which were promised to be taken care of the night of the purchase. I feel like a complete sucker! The sales rep steve even screamed at me the next day when I returned "what do you want me to do" when I asked him for the carpets and wind screen. I have tried to speak to the general manger but he never returns any of my calls. There is to many things to complain about. One thing I could say is please avoid buying a car from this dealership! One month later and im still fighting with these #. Please do yourself a favor a stay away!

Volkswagen retail installment agreement

I purchased through a retail installment contract a 2006 VW Touareg which I was told I could purchase at the end of my agreement for 2.48% interest . With my agreement coming to an end in a 7 months I decided to start researching options so I could make an educated decision on keeping or turning my vehicle in. I have now learned that this financial product I was sold does not exist and I am stuck with my vehicle until the end of my retail contract - June 2009.

Yeah, good luck with that. They simply don't care. Their end-of-lease agents must be on a commission plan where they keep half of what they charge you. There is no other explanation for how nasty they are.

I am at the end of my 3 year lease with my Touereg. I was preparing to turn in the car early. I thought I had 1 more payment to make when I noticed I owed 2 more payments. I called VW credit to inquire as to why there was an additional payment, since my leased ends within 30 days.

I was told that I had a "balloon" payment on my lease agreement and that I owed VW another payment. I was not told of this payment when I leased the car. If I had known, I would not have leased the car if I had known that. I have been a VW, Audi & Porsche customer for many years. They would not give me a courtesy in waiving the payment even when I told them I planned on leasing a Jetta next month for my childrens use. I obvious will not be taking on a new lease with VW again.

I will formally complain about this payment in writing tomorrow with VW credit. I hope they have a change of heart because they have turned off another customer.

Volkswagen belly in the baby

What a ridiculous commercial...a ridiculous way to sell cars. I wouldn't buy one for sure. Talking to women about putting or not putting babies in their bellies to buy a German car is reminiscent of Nazi Germany. I know that's an extreme reaction, but that's exactly the first thing that came to mind the first time I saw this commercial. I can't believe Brooke Shields agreed to do it.

It is so wrong to still think that everything that is connected to germany has to do with the nazis.
It's annoying the hell out of me. Why cant we do jokes? ... All those nazis arent around any more and today's germans dont have anything to do with those nazis. So why would ya say that about a commercial? AND PLUS this commercial is not made by germans, it is also not on TV here!

I have to agree with the original poster. I too instantly thought of Nazi Germany and the "baby factories" with women having babies for the advancement of the Aryan race. I know, I know, the commercial was meant to be funny and the company is good and all are innocent, BUT it is not a wise move on their part as there's a whole generation of people still alive, watching, who have relatives that have gone through hell and have bad memories of such things. There are probably a number of Germans who don't like the connection either. If you are not personally connected to this part of history or are forunate to be young enough that it doesn't affect you, that's fine but a good segment of the population needs to be considered by the company when advertising in this manner, it's not good for THEM.

I think that the German Engineering commercial is fine. They are just being sarcastic! I don't think that we should connect the Routon German Engineering to the Nazi's. Just because Volkswagon is a German car company and works with German Engineering doesn't mean that they are a bad company!
I also don't think that Brook Shields should be criticized for being in their commercial! She is probably just a sarcastic person who just probably said Oh! That would be funny! People having kids for a car!?! That sounds hilarious!
I think that the commercial is funny. I don't care if the Nazi's pop into your head every time you think about German Engineering! That's not the message that Volkswagon is trying to send out! They are just trying to make us laugh!

Don't complain that their commercial makes you think of random BAD things! I'm sure that you've done something to make someone or multiple people think about Bad events from the past. Whether it be Hitler or one time when they were little and something happened!

Just don't criticize people about something that you've probably also done.

Volkswagen insensitive commercial

I am completely appaled by the 'Routon Boom' commercials. These commercials are pasted all over the television networks and appear to be played more than the political commercials. Their lack of sensitivity to the people that cannot have children is unexcusable. The pain associated with not being able to have a natural child is undescribable. Then they play these stupid commercials that portray that people are having children just to get a minivan. This commercial needs to be pulled off the air!

I love the VW commercial where the suicide bomber gets into a VW and pulls up to a crowd of people and blows himself up, but the car is undamaged. And the slogan is "Ya we build them that tough" Look it up on Youtube. Type in VW suicide bomber.

Holy ### some of you people are nuts!

Seriously, just because some of you can't have children, you are offended because other people CAN? Brooke Shields is JOKING about people 'just having babies to get the new Routan'. If you can't tell that, you are obviously poorly educated. The van is for families, families with kids and babies, so that is what they are advertising for. The childless are NOT their market. If you don't have a kid, get a damn sports car and enjoy it.

The commercials are funny and satirical, it's not serious! For crying out loud, it's people like you that give Americans a bad name.

This commercial is insensitive. It reminds me of the horrible experiments people were subjected to during world war II in the concentration camps. What are they thinking? My girlfriend was in a Auschwitz and suffered being repeatedly raped for "german engineering" Get this off the air- surely you could come up with something better than that.

Sorry that you cant have babies but thats apart of your life just because you cant doesnt mean that anybody else is going to have babies and the majority reason for a van is because you have children because it is easier to get them in and out. This commercial isnt any different than the dodge caravan they had the whole family driving to the game and when they got there they were showing how they whole family can use the different features. Even the dog. The whole point to the commercial is to get the german engineering van for that reason not any others. So you really need to ask yourself WHY am I really making a big deal about this? Oh and VW is the ###.

Never have children. I don't and never have, but come on this is the worst comercial in history and I would have thought Brooke Shields had more class. I mute them every time they come on so don't tell me don't watch if you don't like it. I don't watch, but if I was a pregnant woman I'd be soooo offended. It will be a clod cold cold day in the hottests part of hell before I ever consider buying any sort of VW product. BUY AMERICAN or you won't have any American LEFT.

If this bothers you, then you surely should not have children. Imagine the pain you would feel if your child were one who became addicted to pot, heroine, meth or ? And you had to watch the plethora of films, movies, let alone commercials, portraying it!

These commercials are a hoot, because they have absolutely NO sensibility whatever in them. The only thing better would be to do a Lucy spoof with them. I love that someone like Brooke is able to be so totally ridiculous, with a straight face. We should all learn to make light of more things...not more serious!

Volkswagen vw is not solving the problems in their brand new cars

I was a real vw lover until I got my own brand new polo. I got my vw polo in december 6th of 2006 as brand new with chasis number as wvwzzz9nz7y082612.

After the end of second month problems started to occur. Some noises under the car rised. I take my car to dogus oto in turkey which is the dealer of vw. Dogus oto told me that the sound was very normal and coming from the "spiral" shaped part placed in the exhaust system. I listened the noise in my friends' cars as ford fiesta (2005) 1.4 gasoline engined and toyota yaris 1.0 gasoline engined (2005) but no noisy sound was rising from these cars. Also they were older than my car and their engines were weaker than my car's engine their engine and the other parts were working with less disturbing noise.

After 4 months, another unhealthy sound started under the motor hood. I made a technician who I know that is skilled, listen the sound, and he said me that the sound was not normal. After this comment I take my car to dogus oto ããâ°zmir again and 2 technicians of them said that it was normal and make me listen the same sound in an 3 or 4 year old polo. After that I asked them to make me listen the same sound in the test-drive car or in a brand new car. They make me listen the sound in the brand new car but there were no sound existing. But my car was 8 months old and the compare of my car with 4 years old cars was not fair.

Also in june when my car was 6 months old, the plastic part holding the rope in the tail door broken at the hands of nearly 5 kg weight. I can send you pictures if you will send me your e-mail address. Now I am asking you: "don't vw carry out torquemeter tests in their research & development department?".in design process, incase of designing a plastic part that will carry a certain load, they should had tested its strength. Because a plastic part broken down under a 5 kg load makes other people not trusting to vw. Other brands as toyota yaris and ford fiesta used 3 parts to fix the rope there instead of 1 single piece as you did. So in 3 part design the part is not breaking down only move out the other part and one can easily replace it correctly. If you will use single piece design you should have used a material which has higher strength to stand stable under shear force. At the hands of vw design I will have to change all the plastic part in that region and pay near 70 euro.

Also for about 8 months my seatbelt making noise so much to take my concentration out of the traffic. I am really bored of this sound. Vw tried to fix it but they made the sound worse.

I wrote all of the things above to vw ag in germany 4 times, but they teased me instead of considering my problems. Their attitude was not suiting with consumers satisfaction.

Dogus oto which is legal dealer of vw in turkey, is not solving any problem of my car

-they break down the door locks of my car. I take my car to them 4 times but they didn't repair it.

-my car's exhaust system system has a problem. They are not accepting that problem while there is very loud noise existing in my exhaust system.

-they used silicon on my front panel while its use is forbidden at the hans of safety standards because incase of a fire it speeds up the fire in my car. When I asked them, they did not answer me, if they removed the silicon or not.

-there is a constant frequenced sound like the noise of a belt in engine system. At first they said me that there is a problem, and changed 2 parts of engine system. But the sound didn't disappear. Further their recommendation was "there is no problem on that car and all the sounds are normal". After that recommendation, I asked them to make me listen the same sound on a different car with the same engine type of my car but they did not let me listen any.

According to the cases I have experienced, I can say that vw is cheating the customers.

Volkswagen defective water pump

I was operating my volkwagon jetta down the street from my house. Vehicle has 85000kms. Operating the vehicle on the last valid day of my 5 year powertrain warranty. Vehicle overheated.
Turned out the PLASTIC impellar on the water pump busted. VW canada only covered the water pump and not the labour. Placed a new identical water pump in my vehicle. VW advised that they would not pay the entire bill because I did not have the vehicle diagnosed on the day in question. Even though all the dealerships were closed and I wasnt able to bring my vehicle in. That is not indicated in the contract. VW further advised me that even if I brought my vehicle in the day after they would not have covered the warranty. Ultimatley means that VW does not honour their warranties.

I agree. I own a VW Jetta 2003 (1.8). I have experienced numerous problems since purchasing my vehicle, have spent over $8, 000 in repairs over the past 2and a half years. Water pump went out at 92, 000 miles, completely destroying the engine since the engine is an interference engine. After having the engine replaced (over $5, 000 for parts and labor), the engine fan mogile went out, numerous electrical issues, just recently engine fan switch went bad causing the car to overheat which in turn blew the secondary water pump 1 week after replacing engine fan switch and secondary water pump the engine fans themselves went bad causing the engine to again overheat. Still owe 2 and a half years of payment and almost $9, 000 total in repairs already.VW America will do NOTHING. I am not rich and am being drained financially by my car. I hear your frustrations.

Volkswagen bad engines

Vee Dub Parts Unlimited... P U your engines stink! I bought a 1600 Dual Port Long Block and four of their engines and four months later and $1, 500 in wasted repair labor my Bus is still without a good engine. The engine was put in and taken out many times. Tuned, Oil changed. Metal shavings found in the oil. The engines sat for weeks at a time on the floor of their shop. Their engine builder John told me..."I did not build that one"...Well I ask who did? They might be trusted for parts if you stick with the brand names. But ALL of their engine stink and I am sure there are many out there with a story to tell about them. Do yourself a favor and save yourself money do not buy any engine from Vee Dub Parts Unlimited of Huntington Beach, Calif.

I finally got the owner on the phone and he had no problem refunding my money. I do give his staff an F for poor customer service though. The people that work for you represent who you are and those kids are making his store look really bad. I can see how other customers get upset because things are not getting handled properly.

If this return transaction goes well this will be my last post here. If not I may be back...

What would you do if...

You ordered an aluminum dash to save yourself some time making a pattern and when it got to you it was cut too small and very crooked?

I sent an email with no reply all day yesterday, I called VW Parts Unlimited and the kid at the counter was rude and said there was no way they would pay to return and replace it. I told the kid to tell who ever answers the emails I sent an email with a picture of it taped in place on my dash so there is no way they can say it was a good part. Check out the picture of it fitted with the jagged edge on top.

I sent a second email telling them they had until 5 PM today to respond to my complaint and make things right. Maybe the kid at the counter did not tell anyone, maybe they do not read emails, I don't know maybe one of the people from VW Parts Unlimited will see this posting and do the right thing.

Volkswagen scam and fraud

They quoted me a price of $250 for servicing my car, when I went to pick it up they asked us what they quoted and then laughed and said it really came out to $900. When I complained to the service manager he did very little, no one called me back as promised so the next day I showed up there to settle the matter. They took me to one of the owners office, who ended up being a real poor businssman. They said they already put a lien on the car, and locked it up and I had two choices to get it released - either pay the bill in full (and in cash) and the car leaves fixed or they can take the new part out and then I would have to pay $600 in labor for a broken car. The real problem for me is that if they had been honest about the repair cost then I would have declined to repair it since it was only to repair a convertible top, not needed to drive the car. I have a working roof now, but it was not worth what I was forced to spend. I walked out of there feeling bullied and I paid under duress. If I did not pay, my car would not be released. I called the VW of America and they were wonderful, they are working with me now to see what can be done. I offered to meet them half way and pay $450 but they would not accept blame for their service departments mistake - instead making the customer pay. The owner with the poor business skills actually said to me that if I had bought the car there or had it serviced before he would have worked with me more. I went there to figure a way for us to negotiate, but I left there feeling completely scammed.

July 9, 2008

10853 Lake Thames Drive
Cincinnati, Ohio 45242

Stefan Jacoby
2200 Ferdinand Porsche Drive
Herndon, VA 20171

Dear Mr. Jacoby,

As a past and current owner of multiple VW's, I find myself ultimately troubled in writing this correspondence. Upon purchasing my 2006 VW GTI w/DSG, I relied upon my past experiences with VW as being part of a family who has owned approximately 4-5 VW's over the past 15 years. To that extent, I was pleased in leasing a GTI for my mother to drive as I relied on the company's great success and automobile craftsmanship. Unfortunately, before my car even reached 10, 000 miles, I had a transmission overhaul much to my surprise. Additionally, around the same time, the GTI shut down which was ultimately due to a coolant system problem after I opened the hood and almost had antifreeze steam out and explode all over my body. While my mother, the primary driver of the vehicle and myself were quite upset that her top of the line GTI was out of service for a major repair, we simultaneously understood that not every single product could be produced full proof and be totally free of problems.

Recently, around the 20, 000 mile mark, our GTI once again has gone through major problems. The initial problem of the car violently jerking and erroneously shifting between first and second gear had appeared once more. At first, my mother dropped the car off to Kings VW in Loveland, Ohio to have the dealer diagnose and correct the problem. After relaying all of the information to the dealer that the car violently jerks and shakes thus aggravating her herniated disks and post-operative brain surgery condition, the diagnosis of the GTI revealed nothing. Moreover, to our detriment we were left with a $30.00 rental car fee for a problem that not only caused my mother great stress and pain, but also led to our doubt as to whether or not VW was the company we once believed in.

After not finding any issues with the car or being able to replicate the GTI violently shaking at the dealership, I personally drove the car to the dealership and replicated the problem within ten seconds of driving the car with the service manager accompanying my mother and I. After leaving the car with Kings VW for a diagnosis, the ultimate conclusion was a complete transmission overhaul once again. At this point, my mother and I had completely lost faith in the product we had purchased.

Upon receiving the GTI from the dealership once again for a second transmission overhaul, I inquired about having a return of my $30.00 rental car fee from the dealer. Ultimately, they denied the request. Thereafter, I expressed my concern to VWoA for not only a $30.00 refund, but another form of remedy to re-establish the fact that there was some sort of customer service behind a product that failed not only once, but twice in regards to a major overhaul. In the end, the customer service representative denied remedying the $30.00 rental car fee we had paid for in addition to denying us a courtesy one month waiver on our lease payment due to going through the trouble of major repairs with this vehicle.

As a current law student prospectively sitting for the bar examination very soon, I have had my fair amount of contract and warranty law discussion. To that extent, while I understand the provided warranty exists for reasons like this, it does nothing to re-capture my mother's or my own loyalty to VW for future purchases. While speaking to the VWoA representative, I was provided with boilerplate warranty language that did nothing to reclaim my confidence in the car, and on a broader spectrum, the brand. As both you and I know, VWoA relies heavily on repeat customers as VW and its subsidiaries account for a "cult-like" clientele base. Unfortunately, as I write this letter today, I have been let down by a company who I put my money and trust in to over the years as I was planning on doing so for myself and for my children in the future.

I have not made any phonecalls to VWoA as of recent in order to express my frustration at the quality of craftsmanship or customer service that VWoA has provided. Moreover, to be blunt, I do not know if it is even worth it to pursue legal recourse through Ohio's Lemon Law Codes as I believe it would be easier to have future prospective problems cured through warranty service rather than a legal claim which would not only sacrifice my time, but sacrifice your brand recognition in the court of law. Additionally, it would probably be easier to just take my business elsewhere at the termination of the lease and “call it quits” with having a VW in the future. At this point, all I ask is for something to be done to reclaim a current customer's confidence in your brand. As a business man, you will probably agree that waiving a one month's payment in addition to the return of a $30.00 car rental fee will ultimately prove better than losing "cult-like" customers who would have ultimately re-purchased many more vehicles for themselves and their family in the years to come.

Respectfully Submitted,

Alan J. Spivak (lessor)

Volkswagen several mechanical issues

I purchased a 2006 Passat in October 2006. Since that time, I have had my car in the shop 9 times, including right now. I have had several engine and transmission issues, as well as radio, AC, and electrical problems. My issues seem to be temporarily fixed at the time I take the car in, but re-surface shortly after. I am completely unsatisfied with the service I have received and will never own another Volkswagen vehicle or recommend one to anyone I know.

Volkswagen customer service/free services

I purchased a brand new jetta last year. I wished that i had found this website before my purchase however i have learned from my mistake. they "offer" free oil changes and car inspections however getting an appointment to get the services completed is like trying to find gold. one rep stated that they could not take me to work on the shuttle, another suggested that i drop my only vehicle off the night before (no suggestion on how i get to work the next morning). I would not recommend their car dealership to any one! At this point I am now ready to pay for all the "free" services that were offered because i know that i get what i pay for.

Volkswagen terrible quality and terrible service

Claremont VW and VWSA have sold me a brand new car that started rusting from 4 weekd after taking delivery. Since then, the car has been back approx. 7 times for rust repairs/body work issues and general bad quality of workmanship. It has reached the point now where they "repaird" body work issues, but they have completely stuffed up the boot. It no longer aligns with the body and sets the alarm off at random times. Claremont VW and VWSA now refuse to rectify the damage they have done and refuse to return my calls or even speak to me.

I unfortunately do not have the money to go to a lawyer and i suspect that they know this.

Volkswagen bad quality product!

I both a certified vehicle 2003 Volkwagen passat 31,000 miles on June 2006. Since them I have been having too many problems , the last one in the the door (driver side) make sharp sound when opening, this will be the third time that I go there with the same problem and they do not fixed that properly, also now it has problems in the driving system. Before more problems in the belt serpentine, and other parts. I heard from the customers that they brake the cars deliberately in that dealer, it should be the case, it is hard to believe that a 2003 low miles car made in Germany (right not it has 51,000 miles) has sooo many problems. The car is still in warranty, but not for all parts.

My wife took our Passat 2.0 2007 wagon for the 20,000 mile service, they charged her $490.60. This is not the place where we usually go and do the service for our car, this place was convenient because of my wife job being so close.

Yesterday September 26th, 2007 the next service was due, I definitely did not take it to Deel Volkswagen. When I got to the dealer where we usually take our car to I asked for curiosity how much was the 20,000 mile service, they quoted me $242.00 with everything included except tax of course. Bottom line, they ripped off my wife at the other dealer as you can tell. Only in Labor they charged us $279.00 plus all the miscellaneous they usually write, look at this, look at that, check this, check that, etc...

This dealership should be investigated, they truly are a rip off.

This dealor sucks. Not only was my friend in a wreck that was the "curtesy driver's" fault, but this is the second time that my check engine light has come on within one week of spending over 700.00 in repairs at the dealor. The first time after the timing belt was replaced at a price tag of over 2000.00, the engine light came on two days later and the dealor said it was a little glitch and fixed it when I took it in. This past time, the glow plugs ( yes it's a diesel) were replaced and within one week, the check engine light was back on again. I took it in and they wanted me to bring the car tomorrow morning to leave so they can see whats going on. After spending 700.00 the week before, I really don't think that I should need to pay the diagnostic fee so that they can figure out what their mistake was.

Don't use Deel VW! I have heard that Esserman has a much better customer service. That's where I will be heading next time I need service.

Volkswagen poor quality product!

It's the reasonable expectation these days for tires to last up to 60,000 miles or more. My Touareg is the fourth car I've leased and the first I have ever had to buy tires for before --WAY BEFORE-- the lease is up. I think it was reasonable for me to expect these tires to be at least as good as the ones on my Audi, Acura, and Mercedes SUV. Yet, VW takes no responsibility for this poor engineering. No more VW's for me!

The warranty expressly excludes tires (for precisely the reasons you stated), and the tire manufacturers didn't choose to have their performance tires put on a 6000 pound truck. They've knowingly put performance tires on a heavy truck--knowing full well how long they will *not* last.

So, VW gets great reviews on their handling and performance, customers love the test drive and the initial experience, and then within a *Very* short amount of time, the customer realizes that retaining that initial level of satisfaction is going to cost a fortune in rubber to keep going. The score? VW wins, and the customer loses. Unless the information becomes VERY public, or unless the system changes to let buyers know what they should expect.

It's a shame, and it's not disclosed to the buyer. Now, if they were upfront about it, and said, "we've outfitted your car with performance tires--which will handle great for 10,000 miles or 6 months at a maximum, and then they'll need to be replaced at your cost", well, that would be a much much different scenario-- but a much more *just* scenario, indeed.

The problem is that the system allows both the car and the tire manufacturers to claim "Not my problem" and there's no system or regulation or expected lifespan of the tire at the time of purchase. The result is that the tires need to be replaced much more quickly than the majority of customers would expect.

Volkswagen diagnostic testing is a rip off!

My engine light was on in my 2002 VW Jetta. I took it to the auto shop I usually use and he couldn't find anything wrong after running a diagnostic test and apologized that I would have to take it to my dealer (West Broad Volkswagen). He didn't charge me anything. The dealer said I would have to pay $82 upfront for the testing which I agreed to; then I received a call back saying they couldn't find anything wrong and would need to charge another approx $100 for more diagnostic testing. I asked what happens if you still don't find anything. I was told they would. Again, I recd another call to charge for additional testing at again approx another $100. At this point, it was $200 and still they hadn't discovered the problem. I told them no more and to get my car, I had to pay the bill. I have since asked the company to show me proof they did the additional testing and they haven't. The service manager said I was causing my car more problems by driving it since something was wrong? I have since put 2500 miles on with no problem. I feel it is wrong to be charged for something that I don't even know if it happened. This diagnostic testing is a "rip off".
