This is for any of you in the Tampa Florida area who are considering Dr. Daniel Stein at the Stein Medical Institute for Liposuction, Vaser, or any other procedure. I will now summarize my entire experience, from my first consultation until this last visit on December 01, where Dr. Stein was condescending and insulting, leaving me in tears as I walked out of the office once again.

My first procedure was in May 2006. I had a brief meeting with Dr. Stein where he pointed out the trouble areas that would be “vasered” and assured me excellent results. I had my procedure with a doctor the next day who was unprofessional and in subsequent weeks actually called my house to see if I was interested in purchasing a travel package or attending a seminar. Putting aside her telemarketing skills, this procedure yielded negative results along with a very hard, protruding lump above my belly-button that caused additional severe pain and swelling for several months.

I was told to come into the office three times a week to have Wellbox treatments, and despite this only leading to more pain and swelling, I continued with the treatments under Dr. Stein’s advice. Keep in mind I live 45 miles away. Every time I walk into the office I feel as though I am entering a Wellbox sales convention. After almost three months of painful Wellbox treatments, Dr. Stein agreed that the lump was not getting better and agreed to do a revision on the area while working on my flanks, which is a procedure I had scheduled for late August.

I have been called several wrong names, every nurse is given the wrong chart, and my photos have even been found in the wrong chart. This is unacceptable – this is private information and I cannot be reassured that my personal info or photos have not been seen by eyes other than Dr. Stein or the nurses. I was also reprimanded by one of the nurses because she saw me looking through my own medical records and photos. She snapped “excuse me” and snatched it out of my hand. This is my information and I have a right to look at it.

My follow-up visit on 12/01 was the last straw for me. I was placed with Dr. Bruemmer, who called me by another patient’s name, had the wrong folder, and wasn’t even up to date on what I had done. I had to guide her through my notes and photos and every question I asked her yielded an “I don’t know” answer.

After standing in the hallway listening to Dr. Stein make jokes and talk about personal things for about 15 minutes, I received a condescending attitude from Dr. Stein and he would not let me explain what the problems were without interrupting me, providing me with elementary metaphors, and raising his voice at me. Dr. Stein acted like he was doing me a favor by sitting with me for three minutes, saying that he was taking the time out to talk to me when he didn’t have to. May I also add that Dr. Stein called me by the wrong name during this conversation?

Dr. Stein further insulted me by suggesting that perhaps I am just not happy with the procedure because of some other issues I might be dealing with. Dr. Stein is not a psychiatrist this is out of his boundaries! Dr. Stein also said that (paraphrased) “I don’t hear these complaints from any other patients. Everyone else is satisfied, if I heard more of these complaints I would listen, but I don’t.” So because other patients are happy, it doesn’t matter if I am? My money is as good as theirs. He does not care about his patients whatsoever.

Just to comment to everyone talking about Extenze and their penis enlargement claims, here’s the deal. There’s no such thing as penis enlargement. The closest thing you can get to that, is by surgery, and even then, the odds of you actually gaining any size, is anywhere between zero and zero. You can do reconstructive surgery there, but the odds of you gaining length or girth is non-existent, if anything, you’ll lose size.

There is a pill out there that does help, so long as you keep taking it and don’t stop. It’s an over the counter medication, and its Enzyte. Now, it doesn’t actually make your penis larger, it just increases blood flow, therefore engorging your penis with more blood than it would typically get, and giving you maybe a 10% increase in size, but typically you’ll see something closer to a 5% increase. The thing is, you have to take it for at least a week or 2 before you start seeing results, and you need to continue taking it every day to make sure you maintain your increase. Sure you can skip a day or 2 and not have to start over, but you just need to keep taking it. It sort of does the same thing as a penis pump, just increases the blood flow, without having to lug around a pump everywhere you go, and having to pump it up before having sex.

If you’re looking for better performance in bed, then just take some cialis to get you hard and keep you that way, and a small amount of anti-depressant to help you last longer. That’s really the only thing medically proven by the FDA to give you better performance in bed.

Just look at Stein in those extenze commercials. He just looks like a complete ###. No self respecting doctor would endorse a product like that, because they really don’t do anything for you. At least with Enzyte, they make fun of themselves, and don’t make any huge claims. I think they even say that you have to keep taking it to have any results, and that it’s not proven by the FDA or anything.

Just an FYI for anyone actually thinking about using these penis enlargement pills. I’ve tried 3, Enzyte, Extenze (before I saw the Stein endorsement) and something else in a blue bottle that was OTC, and absolutely nothing happened with extenze, and the other 2 just gave me a small amount of extra girth, but it wasn’t enough for me to keep taking it more than the month supply they came in. All three of them did give me a lil bit of ball pain after climaxing, which I have a feeling was due to the amount of blood. Plus they all kind of gave me cold sweats after a little while, and my heart rate jumped so high that it looked like I was running on a treadmill for a good 15-20 minutes.

Just stick to some Cialis or Levitra or Viagra, with a small amount of anti-depressant and you’ll be able to do wonders for your bedroom performance. Just ask any real doctor, and they’ll tell you that combination will do wonders.

Dr. Stein has pioneered a new medical technique - speaking through his ###.

When he talks about Extenze, he's clearly and unequivocally saying it makes you larger. But if you look at his website, it doesn't say anything about it:

What a schmuck.

I've been under Dr Steins care for years. He's wonderful, and my certain male part has grown. Everyone tells me about my enormous ego.

Please excuse the crayon. They won't let us have anything sharp.

I was going to have a consultation with him and then found out through a friend that he is NOT a cosmetic surgeon, he is a gynacologist! From what I have heard now, I wouldnt even go to him for that.
People do your research!

That tv infomercial is on right now so i had to see if he really existed first, then look for other postings on him and the product Extenze. It's amazing that everyone they talked to on the street said they were using this stuff... NOT. what a bunch of fakers. They never directly mention 'penis' as the male part that will be affected nor do they say Extenze will actually, definitely, do anything at all for you except cost you cash. The only way something like this will work is if it has ingredients that are currently under prescription only. None of those herbal products ever do more than give you an upset stomach.

I've tried Enzite, Kong and its 3 variants, Growth drops, Rhino51, and a few other waist of time products, all of these were free or cost was reasonable to try.

The only things i have ever used that have worked are the big 3.. cialis, viagra (not so good) and levitra, with the latter having the best results. But because of the costs for these and needing a prescription, it's not feasible to use regularly, daily, though if you did your 'performance and labedo' would certainly be far more aggressive.

I see that Extenze is the same basic thing as Enzite, the stuff that makes BOB and that bimbo so happy. Enzite has been banned in several states, including Florida, and is now being pushed in other states. I am sure that the stuff these 'businessmen' are pushing will also but not before -milking- millions from those who want more.. confidence.
The personality of this dr stein struck me as being ill say anything for a buck, even promote a placebo product. He's an old fu*ker who is just pocketing your cash.

Even though I have never tried this Extenze, my advise on this product is DONT DO IT.

I am 45, and may be in early states of prostate issues, but my labedo is still up there.. :-) the big 3 are a great way to boost ones time in the fun zone, but this stuff.. NO

I wish there was some way to get the public more aware of the scam this guy is pulling. I know of several people who ended up in the hospital because of him. Also one might ask the question as to why his staff all quits at one time. Evidently this happens every year. Hmm makes you wonder. I know someone who worked for him a couple of years ago and told me things that made my toes curl. How can he still keep his liscense?

They don't say "penis" because they can't. that crap they pedal obviously does not do anything. So when it doesn't work, they can just say "we never said it would make your penis bigger, maybe we were talking about your big toe."

You got to be a ### who deserves what you get if you fall for such ###.

His c.v is on his website under "our founder", may be fun to research its legitimacy.

I actually came across this after seeing an 'ExtenZe' commercial; I'm trying to find a picture of "Stein Medical Institute", which is shown in the commercial.

Have you seen it?! It looks so fake! It looks like a cardboard box.

I had some botox done by him without any issue... however, I had scheduled an appointment to get the vaster done and had my "preop" with Dr. Bruemmer..a very old woman who, similarly to the story reaccounted above, had NO idea who I was or what I was doing. She actually seemed so frail and senile and indicated that it might be her who worked on me, that I immediately cancelled. Scary..very very scary.

I too saw that "extenze" ad on TV and thought I'd check out the medical doctor and his stein medical institute "Stein Medical Institute" to see if there was a web site.

Once I came across the web site, one thing which really sends up red flags about Dr. Stein of the Stein Medical Institute" is that he doesn't list where his MD degree is from. Secondly, Florida is known for butcher doctors being allowed to practice there. Third, since when does a medical doctor, not say the word "penis" instead of "that certain part of the male being increased in size?" That should make every one run from this QUACK!

One thing mentioned in his bio on the stein medical institute web site is something about a Russian doctor. Interesting when Dr. Stein doesn't say where he received his medical degree. Makes one wonder if Dr. Stein didn't just buy his degree. There was a big scandal on that on "60 Minutes" where you could buy a degree on a street corner in Russia, complete with transcripts.

He could be operating as a naturopathy (which is not a medical doctor) in Florida and is fairly easy to get licensed.

i also just read about this guy because i saw an ad for "extenze" and "dr. stein" was in it. i originally sought to find the "stein medical institute" which he claims to have founded, and i was on that website for about 5 seconds before i came to this complaint forum. it is what i expected... a reprehensible ### who is out to make a quick buck. in the boner commercial they keep saying "that certain part of the male body" instead of PENIS. but what turned me onto this was that even dr. stein says "certain part of the male body" in this commercial. not even a doctor can say penis! so now i intend to read up on this, because i can't help but think he's in the same pool as kevin trudeau from "weight loss cure" and all that crap.

Why would you go back if you were unsatisfied with results? There are other real doctors out there...On the other hand, if you're so cheap as to make commercials for penis pills, then you're probably not a good doctor. ### happens.

I only stumbled upon your complaint after doing a search on Dr. Stein after seeing one of those reprehensible ads for penis enlargement pills, which he endorses. What kind of a doctor would do that? I think there should be a prohibition on medical practitioners acting as salespeople or retailers. Given the exorbitant prices we Americans pay for medical services, our practitioners should be held to the highest ethical standards. As much as the AMA grouses about the cost of Malpractice suits, there wouldn't be so many if there wasn't so much malpractice.

This Dr. Stein apparently read the same manual every cosmetic and/or plastic surgeon studied in relation to "handling" displeased patients. I was particularly struck by his suggesting that your displeasure stems from some "other" issues in your life.

They ALL use the same lines. The arrogance!

Thanks for posting your complaint and openly naming this doctor and warning others.
