I was referred to the stepping stones program and was told the program no longer exists. Remind you I walked in and spoke with someone face to face. A week later was told it filled up the week before and the program does exist.I was discriminated against because I'm a single black father... I'm only making the complaint because I could have gotten in last week when it wasn't full

I was just in the Salvation Army in Clemson/Central, South Carolina. While shopping I stopped to go to the bathroom and the condition of that bathroom was deplorable. There were four stalls in the bathroom. One stall was locked with no one inside. The next stall was open but it had a plunger sitting in a clogged toilet that needed to be worked on. The handicapped stall was open but there was a trash can in there overflowing. So there was toilet paper with feces all over that stall floor. The final stall was open but it had no toilet paper and there was feces on the floor. It looked like the floor had not been moped in a long time. The whole bathroom was dirty and unsanitary. I decided I just wanted to get out of that bathroom. I washed my hands but found there was no drying paper. Horrible bathroom conditions! I was shocked. Even more shocking was the fact the manager, employees and volunteers use that bathroom and are okay with it looking the way it did. If they themselves do not care about cleanliness it makes me think twice about buying things from that store. Very poor management skills. I would think a manager would check the bathrooms before opening the doors to customers. My only regret not taking photos. It was that bad, but I just wanted out and home to shower.

I was in the Salvation army store ( 401 Racetrack Rd. McDonough, Ga) on Wednesday, 7/18/19 around 405 pm. While standing in line to make a purchase the cashier was complaining she was ready to close the store and go home to a young female teenage who was standing behind her at the cash register. Another lady can in and told she had brought and electric item and it did not work. She abruptly said" we have no refund policy" the Lady "on your electric item" she said "yes" The lady walked out and left it on the count. She threw it in a shopping cart next to the cash register the young girl said " you put it in the cart" the lady behind the cash register said " I know I am putting it back on the floor to sale" All of this was done while I am standing there to purchase my item. I was deeply disturbed that a worker would place an item not working back on the floor for someone else to purchase unknowingly that it was not working. This practice is dishonest, unethical and unfair to the low income public who come in this store to buy due to their income.

I understand how common it is for people to donate used items as an alternative to having to pay someone to haul things away. This is sad, but true. However, I believe in recycling and in the principles of donating used items in good condition. The money is used to help people in need, and the items get more use.

When the Salvation Army gentlemen were at my house recently, all I observed was how rough they were in handling and loading the items I was donating. Hey, I don't want the stuff, but it's GOOD stuff. It works and it's clean. It won't be good to anyone if things are broken or missing.

They were rude. I only schedule pickups when items are too large or heavy, like furniture or office equipment. I also make a point of including information not to come until AFTER 10 am. They've shown up and 7:30, 7:50, and 8:10 am, regardless.

I'm sure it's a thankless and difficult job. But if you don't believe in the process and outcome, then work somewhere else. If you can't respect the items you are picking up, then you are demonstrating a lack of respect and Christian kindness towards others.

I'm done donating to the Salvation Army. Hopefully, another charity will do better.

I live directly next to a salvation army church been here way before the church was ever built .Been here sense 1972 and in that time there been a lot of problems with your salvation army officers only a few never gave us any issues.
I live in Torrington Connecticut 06790 I have cats according to state law cats can roam their is no roaming laws only for dogs they must be on a leash .
My cats are vac with rabies from vetco and don't do anything but lay in my yard.
In the past i had animal control reported from your officers in the past and the health dept as well. For no damn reason i had contacted a lawyer in the past tense sent him a letter then things seem to calm down then every time theirs a new officer theirs issues .
For years they been trying to buy out are property for a parking lot we will not sell in fact it is harassment which we where told.
Well today is July 18 2018 and a gentleman offers to weed wack are yard my parents are elderly and both with heart issues and can not stress out.
That gentleman told us today that your newest officer mad a threat to contact the police animal control on my family once again do to weeds in my yard and my cats roaming my property this was directly stated today am so sick and tired of this it has to stop .

We don't bother anyone and we always keep this yard clean the side walks own by the city they have not repaired them in years almost 40 years in fact .
In the winter i was always nice to snow blow your church side walks in front of the church in the past even mowed and raked up your churches lawn do to garbage blown in their yard.

i am a mother of two sons one autistic, blind and other blind in one eye my husband works 12hrs low pay lying job no raise, we been together 34yrs never been on welfare never asked for help until now asked the salvation army in shawnee, okla for help with our electric bill was lied to all this month of july no funds yet call tomorrow thats all i heard from that cold guy that answers the phone called today, 7/17/18 what a liar you are know what he said funds where used up last week i got angry and said you never said that to me you have lied to me this whole time what are you doing with all the money people donate ... fyi have have donated to them for years never ever will again i would advise no one should either they should be investigated. this is not the end i will continue until i get answers . ps very angry mom

I have been staying at the salvation army shealter on 9th and D in Modesto, CA and I recently found out that AWP is being allowed to hack in my job serch file and pass that information to people who are slandering and harassing me. This has cost me the lost of many job opportunities. I hace already strated the progress of geting restraining orders agnist them. Give the fact that We're bolt give 6 months to stay their I feel the person doing this should be punished. I'm doing what I am required to do and he is doing everything thing possibly to srew this up. Is there there thing you can do to HELP me.

I went to our 71832 store in need of help with lodging voucher when I arrived and asked the saleswoman whom did I talk to about them she went into office and came back and said you will have to let her finish eating ok I said that's fine I will wait 45 minutes pass and the woman comes out and said what do you want I told I needed to talk to her about the voucher program and she said oh i have gave out all I am giving sorry she was rude and a bit hateful she did not ask any questions surrounding our situation or I would have told her my daughter who has an 11 year old and a 2 year old and is 5 months pregnant and high risk due to high blood pressure and being a diabetic on insulin and myself being disabled to a double brain aneurysm in 2012 are living in an apt with no Electric because land Lord got behind on Electric bill and they cut it off but my daughter is behind on rent along with other tenets due to not working full time because of health I just wanted to try to get them one nite or two of cool air and sound sleep until we can find a place that we can afford but she didn't ask anything or give me any other options that miite could help. Very disappointed in our salvation army.

On May 22, 2018, I went to the Toccoa Ga Salvation Army office and requested assistance for rent. My husband had had 2 strokes a week prior to this date and we were in desperate need of help. He was the sole provider up until that point and we were scrambling to figure out how we were going to pay our rent now that he was disabled. I spoke to Brenda Gragg on the 22nd and she had me take some papers to my landlord to fill out and return. I faxed the papers to her the next day and spoke to her to see that she received the papers. She asked me to contact her at the beginning of the next week to see if my request was approved. I tried to call her on May 29th and 30th and never could reach her. I left messages both days. I finally touched base with her on June 1st only to be told she still had not heard back from her boss and to try the following week. The next week I was told they were moving offices and that she personally that day would call my landlord to tell give him an update on my request. My landlord never received a call. The following my week I spoke with her again after leaving multiple messages and this time her computers were being fixed. she said it would take all week to fix them and she promises yet again to contact my landlord. Still to this day he has yet to receive any call. Now I can not get her to return my calls even though I leave messages daily for her. When I tried to call with my number blocked she picked up and then again said she was still waiting for approval. I would like someone to tell me what is going on with my request please. Why am I being blown off as if my husband and I aren't important enough to help? My husband and I donate yearly to the Salvation Army and this Is how families in need are treated? Brenda Gragg is extremely disrespectful and rude and needs to be removed from her position. Perhaps someone with a more compassionate heart should be hired to fill her position.

Casey at Salvation Army on Front street Salem Oregon would not let me get my car keys out of the bldg. I complained about that breaking the law and criminal it is hostaging so I filed a lawsuit to get the point accrossed... Case England vs Salvation Army case [protected] England has. Been told she was fired and yet Im in the facility and she was still here. Plus I know that the facility has been increased in budget and that England is paying and I am Throne Queen Queen Charles IIII. This morning after on camera in front of witnesses I cleaned two reck rooms and cobwebbed and mopped floors. I recieved a non compliance letter this morning. So not only are they liars but now I am suing for slander. I want this taking care of before I get back at 4 pm by phone and email and direct contact from someone in authority of salvation army.

I have a strong complaint about the staff at the Salvation Army it was on 7/4/18 at 1:30 at 888 University Dr. Pembroke Pine FL. Cashier very rude we had an item that had a different price and she accused me off changing the price which I did not, I told the Manager to look at the Camara and see that was the price that was on it. it was streamed embarrassing I need someone to get to me an apology. also, I was a regular customer which I will not be going to that store any longer in very Disappointed.

Went in bought a few things had husband come in to pick up and the guy associate treat my veteran husband with disrespect. I told him customer service is a big thing in this world and he shouldnt have that type of job. He was rude and disrespectful when I went back in for the third time to talk to the lady that was working to have her tell him and he was still running his mouth with are you really going g to believe these guys and she said yes I'm the one that cashed them out he helped load and still was making rude comments last time we as an us four adults will ever return there horrible employee with no respect .

I visited your retail store in gladstone mo today. I am a frequent shopper at Goodwill's and savers. I typically spend $200-$250 at most all of my shopping trips. And shop 1-3 times a month. I purchase for my family and 3-4 other families. He temperature inside the store was 85 degrees proven by thermostat. I was in store for ten minutes sweating and had to leave. (My shopping was cut short to $12). We asked one of the employees about the air conditioning if it was broken. She apologized for the temperature but admitted that the air broke last year and hadn't been fixed. We have not even gotten to the hot part of the year. Shame on you for allowing employees to work in that environment. And i promise that it is COSTING you in lost sales.

I was over just looking cause at times I have money to buy from the Auction in Tampa it's a unocuppied cart sitting so I decided to look through a lady yelled that's someone cart I yelled ok ma'am thanks I'm sorry so she called her the person who it belongs to over the came yelling putting her fingers in my face shoving me in my chest hard instead of hitting her I called the cops while he written the report the supervisor MAT over the Auction went heard her side of the story never listened to me and suspend saying she buy stuff which I have to in the past which I feel like he was wrong to take side I have a police report I and filing charges against her and I'm seeking medical attention my name is Sophia Yarns it's the one in Tampa at the Auction my number is [protected] and he could have taking the time and looked at the video

We use to donate our house hold goods etc... to the goodwill. Our neighbor a retired Major asked that we use the Salvation Army. Every time we get to the store with our stuff the area looks like a pig pen. Then when the woman finally comes to the door she never offers to help unload or give a receipt. Once and only Once did a young man come out and help. My husband and I get hired to clean out Park models quite often and as we put a lot in the garbage, there is so much really nice stuff that we donate. If we had more time we would garage sale it. Only Once did we call for a pick up because we had a 5 yrs old king size mattress and box springs and a LOT of Garage tools. Not only did they not show up they didn't even call. I was so mad and reported this error locally, but he sent someone the next day even though I clearly Said "NO" At this point we will go back to using other facilities that keep a cleaner building and offer better help. The older man is about 5ft thin and white hair bearded, small build and has been there a few years. The other man is around 10 to 20 years younger, taller, and of medium to large build.
The old of the two tends to stare over at people while waiting for donations. When we have come to donate he has complained about what we bring donations in, but does not complain to the next person coming after us, using the same thing to bring their donations to the truck. So we quit donating goods, cause we can't win with this guy. He always complains.
They seem to sit there and gossip, staring over at people, and its uncomfortable, hear them talking about others. Today, we came to Fred Meyer, to go to our bank and pick up grocery and supplies, when a man came with a pick up truck full of goods he wanted to donate but the larger man on duty, I just described, told him that he'd have to unload his donation of things himself . I guess the man grumbled and proceeded to do so when that attendant stopped him, saying something like..."you know what, I don't like your attitude. Just leave! Go on, get out of here! Just go! " Loudly and very discourteously.
So I would very much appreciate it, If the Salvaion Army church would re-locate these two attendants, to another location, because they are very much in need of re-training on better customer service methods since they seem to lack any such thing. They are not winning friends and influencing people to donate to the Salvation Army, started by a very fine Christion man almost two centuries ago!
I called Fred Meyers but the person I talked to was disinterest, and said to contact The Salvation Army. So we are! This truely prooves its the end times when people don't care! But we do! And so should these two men, who are working for the Salvation Army! A Christ respecting and worshiping church. Right? Hope so. Thanks for reading! I was at the store on Christiana Landing. One item didn't have a tag. I'm a regular customer there I was willing to pay whatever price she told me for the dress. She told me she is not allowed to sell it if don't have a tag. I ask her please put a tag I really wanted the dress and she said no. I have to come back tomorrow and maybe I won't find it.

There was a huge line I had $2 item and she made me go get my id for my mastercard. Now first of all mastercard doesn't require this! Look it up. And then wait at the end of the line again. She also decided what I had should be higher priced. So she decided to mark it up to $6! I asked about a pair of Miss me jeans she has hanging by the bathroom and marked $35 or so. (In stores they are on sale for $45) she said they was her personal jeans and that's what she wanted and that she knows brands so prices will be will be higher! Is this even legal. I think that is why she treated me so poorly cause I said jeans was on sale at store. Also, things are donated they should be one price not picked prices by employees! Highly disappointed me and my friends behind me left our items, due to her marking my vase up at check out time.

I have a strong complaint about the staff at the Salvation Army Nurturing Center/Visitation. The staff, in particular the Manager and Assistant Manager, are completely unprofessional, rude, have no courtesy, and treat parents inhumane. I spent 4 months visiting my daughters there and have never been treated so poorly in my entire life. Upon checking in, they hardly notice you're there and when you have a question they treat you like you are a complete burden. I thankfully was able to have visits moved to a more respectable agency that reminded me how every person should be treated, with dignity and respect. Some of the staff would make comments completely out their scope of our situation and cross boundaries in regards to offering information that is suppose to be confidential. My daughters and I are thankfully reunited but, the experience I endured from that staff leaves a sick feeling in my stomach. Something needs to be done about them.

The Salvation Army located at West 46th street- posted that all clothes blue color were 50% off but failed to provide any blue tagged items on the floor.

Additionally this SA location is filthy. The third floor is filthy, clothing is stained. Disorganized &!understaffed. Long wait times.

Staff is unhelpful & unfriendly. Manager said make complaint.
