I've a bank account with the Reserve Bank of India. The account no: [protected]. Please confirm that the account is still valid and in existence. A few days ago, I've tried to transfer online a sum of fund to overseas. Half way through, I was asked to enter the Cost of Conversation Code. Later, I was asked to remit USD$ 16, 500.00 in order for me to get the C.O.C Code. I was given 72hrs to pay the said sum or else, my account will be deactivated or termination of my account. Please advise whether the above scenario is norm to every bank. A customer has to pay that huge amount of money for every transaction?
