Fraud!
I sent in a picture of my cat and told me that my cat picture was picked to be in the 2012 book and asked to pay for the book. I should get a free book for my picture. Then I got another message that the picture was picked for the 10, 000 dollar award and I had to pay to enter, if it's a contest why do I have to pay to enter!
they have my pets picture and want me to pay $59.95 for a copy of this book.
This book company called this scam a "contest". I bit and sent (e-mail) a picture of my cat. I was congratulated a few weeks later and told my cat had been selected to appear in their book, "The Most Adorable Pets in America" - 2011 edition. I entered my dog too only they told me that I had to pay seventy dollars to receive myh book with my dogs picture. i never recieved the book but they took my money. i want it back and the book they promised me. they need to be shut down for ripping dog lovers off
ALL COMMENTS HAVE CONFIRMED WHAT A "SCAM" THIS IS / WAS, YOU'RE ALL CORRECT, THEY SHOULD BE PAYING AND REQUESTING PERMISSION TO PRING MY DOG! I'LL HAVE TO LOOK INTO THAT! BUT YES, WE SHOULD RECEIVE THE BOOK FOR FREE. I'VE ENTERED MY DOGS INTO THE 365 PUPPIES A YEAR WALL A FEW YEARS AGO AND I RECEIVED MY CALENDAR AT NO CHARGE.
i receive an email today saying that my baby is gonna be in the book and he's one of the most adorable pets in america! im so happy and excited! i even spread the news to my friends on facebook and they are all happy for me.. and im wondering where is their contact number, i search for them and i end up on this page.. oh.. now i know! its just a big freaking scam!
I posted a picture, and 2 hours later I was told my dog was selected for LAST YEARS edition.
I agree with all of this. At first I was excited that my cat would be featured, but then the more I read it, the more I realized what a huge scam this is. They should be privileged to be able to publish a picture of my cat, along with a FREE biography about him. Under no circumstances should I have to pay to do this! A free copy should have come guaranteed the instant he was selected to appear in this so called book. They could get plenty of people to buy this without having to make us pay for it, especially for so much money! If my cat does end up appearing in this book even without me paying for anything, I'll be aggravated that they didn't send me a free issue!
I also entered my cat's picture and afew weeks later was informed he had been picked for their book. Asking $69.95 for the book. They are using my cat's picture and should be paying me for the use of his picture. I think this is a scam and their way to sell their books. I don't think I want to pay that amount to see my cat's picture in a book when I have the real thing. Oh! another $19.95 just to put his information with the picture. Be careful who you give your pets information to, that could also be a way for pet snatchers to find your pets. This whole thing screams SCAM!
