The Mayne Puppies - Jackie Mayne review: wrong dog breed sold 1

I was sold a puppy that was supposed to be a whoodle (half wheaten, half poodle). I researched for months and finally found a breeder in Missouri. First thing that happened when I received the puppy was I notice she had scars on her abdomen. I was told one of the puppies in the litter had a hernia but it wasn't the one I wanted. Turns out they all had hernias. Then my vet and I had suspicions that the dog was not half poodle so I did dna testing. The puppy is actually half wheaten, half shih tzu. I am extremely upset about this as I've had a shih tzu in the past and would never have purchased the pup had I known that.
I contacted the breeder and she said the mother "looks completely poodle but may have some shih tzu in her". I asked about papers for the mother. She said she never got papers on the dog because she was going to breed her so she didn't need them. Long story short, the breeder sent me a check for the full amount that day.
I'm sorry but if you don't know what breed your dogs are, that means you have too many and shouldn't be breeding them. We love the dog dearly but I am very disappointed in the whole situation.

This is interesting. I also bought a Whoodle from jackie. When we dna tested her, she also had Shih Tzu in her. We adore our girl and wouldn’t trade her for the world, but she seems to be 75% Wheaten, 25% poodle/shih tzu mix.
