I have included a picture, even though I am so extremely embarassed. It shows how my hair was, what I asked for and what I left with.
Went to have my hair trimmed, thinned and shaped. Woman stated that she could take me as a walk in. Showed her my picture of what I wanted and she stated that she could do it. Did not have my glasses on and when she was done and put them on, my heart sunk to my stomach. The girl swiped my card before I could tell her that I was far from satisfied (she saw me crying). Had the nerve to ask me if I wanted to add a tip. She told me I had 2 weeks to fix it and to keep my receipt. There were people around in the mall and I was terribly upset. I went to my car and called the salon asking for the manager or someone in charge. I was told to call the next day. I could not wait, I needed my hair fixed because I had work the next morning.
I called and was told I could not have a refund but another cut. I had no hair left (went from 5" below my shoulders to 3" above and no bangs). She told me she did not know the managers name except for Michael. He had no contact number nor did he have any set hours during the week. He also did not work any other store nor did they have any other store. Terrible, Terrible, Terrible.
I would not suggest and I will never return.
I had no hair left.

The back of my hair was 5 inches below my shoulders (it hit my bra strap). I needed my hair cut that day and I looked at some reviews for this place. I went there for the convenience and not for the price. My hair was already in that style just needed the bangs, shaping and thinning. I seriously take your comment with a grain of salt since you find nothing wrong with the final cut I received. My hair is now 3 inches above (at my earlobe) since I had to have it fixed - at a reputable salon as you call it. The woman who fixed my hair said Hair Palace butchered it and there was no way to save the legnth.
You are judging on the fact that it was a mall salon and you are talking to me as if I am an idiot and I shouldn't expect them to know what they are doing.
I've been to salons in malls before, I know people who worked in malls before (and they were awesome). It should not matter where the salon is located - the stylist should know what she is doing, if she doesn't she shouldn't pretend that she does. PERIOD. So rather than focussing on where the shop was located - you should focus on the facts. They are a salon, they claim to provide a skilled service, they charge for said service.

Uh, lady... The worst thing to do, is go to a mall salon, that you have never been to. They give you exactly what you pay for - a $10.00 haircut! If the picture you Post d is your, "after-photo, " then you were clearly exaggerating, as you specifically said your hair was 5 inches below your shoulder, now its 3" above. That haircut you got looks fine, for a 10 dollar mall haircut. Next time you want a haircut, go to a reputable salon... And don't bring in a photo, unless it shows the front, back, and sides.
