The Dump rude customer service

Hi i purchased reclining sofa set and a dining table from them on June 1st. They were both delivered on 11th June. Delivery guys left the sofa cords at their warehouse and said they would be mailed to me. I waited and am still waiting.
It is very frustrating to have reclining couches and not be able to use them in over almost 2 months now.

Dining table was defective so they said use this for now and they will replace it. Still to date no response. One technician came by and took a few pics and said next week it will be replaced. I am still waiting. I have a service order with them and they have taken no action so far

Been calling their customer service and requesting that a manager calls me back no answers.

Would appreciate any help. I can be reached at [protected] which is also my order phone number with them and my account number

The Dump service

My wife and I purchased a sectional sofa and a queen size bed frame. The bed frame has 2 storage drawer which takes the place of using a box spring. We were told by the salesman that both items were in stock and would delivered the following Tuesday. We received a text message regarding the delivery. The message stated the sofa would be delivered but the bed frame was not in stock. Over the weekend prior to receiving their message I disgarded the old sofa and bed frame and box spring and keeping only the mattress. The sofa delivery was made today and no bed frame. We currently have the mattress on the floor. My wife and I are retired and are in our upper sixty years of age. Not appropiate for your store to state that you have items in stock just to complete a sale. We do not know when we will receive the bed frame. I will conmunicate to as many people as possible to steer away from doing business with THE DUMP. Your business is appropriately named. Sorry I ever walked in into your Houston store on West Road.

The Dump leather lounge suite

I bought a leather lounge suite from the Dump Houston on December 8, 2018. When the lounge suite was delivered initially it was installed missing some feet. As a result the pieces did not fit together properly. The Dump arranged for an outside company to come and access what was wrong. As a result of having missing feet, some serious scratching occurred on our wooden floors. A second installation team, including the sales person, Bryan Schwaab, came out to our house a few weeks later. One of the installation guys turned one of the couches upside down and immediately noticed the missing feet. The missing feet were installed and that solved the problem with the couches not fitting together properly. However we are still left with the badly damaged wooden floor which we were told by Bryan Schwaab would be repaired by the Dump. However we have not heard a thing from the Dump since then.I have tried to get hold of Bryan Schwaab and the store manager of the Dump Houston - Rob Pcholinski - without success. Extremely disappointing after spending over $5 000 with these guys!

The Dump furnitures

I brought the furniture on June 5th when delivered the delivery guy cut my cord to one of my recliner chairs since then the mechanism have went the smchair have sparked it's always a burning smell. Where the usb is located it stay overheating . They gave me a hard way to go abt a part. Long behold they had sent the part to the right address wrong street.

The Dump furniture not delivered

I ordered furniture from the dump the I was to get it no call no show I called the store they said it would be delivered that day but was put on a different truck an the new truck didn't have GPS so I couldn't track it I waited all day nothing I called the next day they told me my order got lost I was told to come in an they will fix it they tried to sell floor samples at new prices an didn't tell me the sales person slipped up an said floor samples if not I would have got floor samples I stopped my order an will not go back to the store in oak pa an this was the manager lisa that did this

The Dump never got the furniture... part 2

Didn't think it could get any worse... Then it did. My earlier review details how I never received @ $10, 000 worth of furniture that was bought and paid for 11/24/17 with an expected delivery date of 12/23/2017 until 5/15/2018... And it was damaged!. The crack team at the houston store promised a technician would be at my house on 5/17/2018 to resolve the damage issues. Guess what? Another no show! Oh and the free tv I was promised... Never received it either. The store manager is a weasel who repeatedly offers to take every thing back just to get rid of me. The customer service people share his arrogance. I would not buy furniture from these clowns again even if it was free! (they wouldn't deliver it anyway)

The Dump never got the furniture

worst buying experience in the history of mankind. bought and paid for $10k of furniture on 11/24/ 2017. its now 5/12/2018. once again...despite wasting my day waiting ...the furniture will not be delivered ! over the past six months i've been given ever excuse imaginable. store manager chuck gore has absolutely no credibility. have documented every conversation via email for the full page ad i will be taking out in the chronicle... they don't show the slightest bit of remorse...i think the revel in their incompetence!

do not buy from these crooks!

The Dump twin recliner love seat with center compartment

I purchased two of these loveseats and shortly about 1 month after using one it begin to rip and tear at the seams in the back. I bought the 5-year extended warranty sent pictures and explained the situation. I was told that since it was the seams that were ripping it wasn't under warranty despite the fact that the warranty itself says that it covers everything including seems. Now I noticed about a week ago the other side is also ripping in the same spots. This is completely unacceptable and I was told that there was nothing they could do.

The Dump horrible manager

I have never been spoken to like your manager chuck spoke to me!
I WILL NEVER STEP IN THAT STORE AGAIN! Who prices a end table top and bottom?!?
Then threatened with 50% restocking fee! I was going to go back and buy more since we are replacing all of our furniture we lost in the hurricane but I will take my business somewhere else !
You need to fire that ego maniac!

Totally bad communication. Bait and swithc tactics. Canceled my delivery without my knowledge. Sale person I dealt with unprofessional and disrespectful and racist.  My friend and I showed up to purchase furniture.  I was the one buying furniture but he talked to my friend if tough she was purchasing furniture. The sectional I was purchasing was listed on website for $888, sales person said that was the correct price and he would have to sale it for $1499 because that $888 price was the Labor day price and the the floor clean up people were lazy and didn't change the price. I told him he could either honor the price on the item, or I could go elsewhere, and he needed to get a manager. I was there on 10/2. He spoke to a manager and the manager told him he was wrong and the price on the item was correct.  I explained to sales person that he could not advertise one price and then change it, said he didn't know it was on the website for $888. I called the store the next day and spoke to a manager to let him know the sales person person totally discriminated against me because of my color. I am of another race, my friend is white. Everytime I asked the (asian) sales person a question, he would speak to my friend instead. I also asked to purchase 5 year protect plan, and he said I didn't need it because the sectional never malfunction. The manager said the sales person never should have told me that. I scheduled my delivery date for the following 10/8. This is where it gets sketchy. I recorded the deliver on my phone calendar. However, it scheduled for Saturday. I had it stuck in my head Saturday. I had an appointment on the day of delivery that I made months before. I called the day before to see if I could be the last stop. They were closed, I text, I send an email to the manager I spoke to about my sales experience. Never heard back from anyone. Called the first thing next morning, spoke to someone, explained situation. She stated she would send Angel Ortiz's and email, and they would call me right back. I asked if I would have to pay if I reschedule, she said no, and someone from the store would get right back to me. No one never called me. The person I spoke to canceled my delivery. I had canceled my appointment, and was waiting for my delivery. My delivery was between 9-12:30. When 12:30 came and no delivery, I was calling and text the whole time telling them I didn't want to reschedule because I had got text saying if I reschedule I would have to pay a restock fee. After no delivery, finally talked after being transferred to that no working extension. I called from a private number, talked to the store said it was canceled and someone from the store should have informed me, drove more than 40 miles to the store to cancel sale. They told me I couldn't get my money until the next day because the furniture was still on the truck and I wouldn't be charged a restocking fee. I asked why they canceled delivery after I was in repeatedly communicated with them to let them know I was waiting for delivery, and to please have delivery person call me. Person in store told me the person I spoke to earlier this morning in customer service sent an email the the store to cancel delivery. I  was shocked. Note* I f you try to call to speak to a manager, you will never get one.* I had to send messages to every store in every state to get a manager to call me back after the poor, unprofessional, racist sales person. If you have a problem, as an IT professional, you as a customer need to know. "The dump will block your number, send you to a voice mailbox that you can't leave a message."  They track p your phone number. They won't let you speak to a manager, or anyone else. I have shopped at he dump a lot, 2016 was my last purchase. This place have become the ghetto company from "HELL" Do your research before you attempt to buy. Go to American Signature,   Rooms to go, or Ashley Furniture. This company will be reported to Federal Trade Comission

The Dump sectional sofa

Buyer be ware. The end of March I paid over $2, 000 For a sectional sofa, by April it was pitting. I called on they will only do repairs no refunds, quote their return policy. Now the sofa is falling apart, still the same. Ask to speak with a manager, they refuse. The do not belong to the Better Business Bureau and have thousands of complaints. Read the blogs and complaints yourself before buying anything. I know why they are called the Dump the literally Dump on you!

Your post was like Deja vu lol ...here’s mine I wrote on other sites but not this one ...Purchased a not so cheap sectional about 5 months ago from the dump where I live in NJ in those 5 months my couch has been serviced 5 times and it's a hassle each time I hope oh have at least a hour just to get ahold of customer service and expect no call backs you have to keep calling and demanding them to fix stuff under your warranty. I had to contact the Better business Burea for the latest problem with the couch which they told me they don't have the serial numbers to replace and ship parts mind you it's been serviced a couple of times now just for that piece of the sectional i had to keep calling and asking where my parts were which after a month waiting they responded they didn't have the parts numbers and neither did the manufacturer lol so I threatened immediately to go to social media and contact the local news amazingly right away they were going to replace my piece which I previously asked and was denied seeing it has been serviced so many times and paid a repairman more than that piece was worth well the next week I take off work for the delivery what do you know it's the wrong piece I call back they act like they don't understand and after so many phone calls they will reship it well today is the day I called after taking off work again they have no record of me calling or a shipment so after they not allow me to talk to a manger (happens frequently apparently the managers are on business calls every time) I ask to be called back still nothing I contact the better business buruea again and now I have to file against the manufacturer lol so I am in contact with them now didn't receive back after they said they would a hour from when I called it's been 2 hours. DONT SHOP HERE!

The Dump broken/damaged furniture

Every experience is different, but I wish that I'd taken the negative reviews more seriously and not purchased from The Dump. The furniture is beautiful, but, as I'm learning the hard way, is poor in quality. Most of the furniture that was delivered to my home was broken or damaged. The delivery guy was very nice, however, my walls were also damaged by The Dump's delivery personnel. To add insult to injury, trying to get this matter rectified has been a time consuming headache and The Dump has made it repeatedly and abundantly clear that they do not care and are not particularly interested in addressing the concern in a respectful and timely manner. It seems like they adhere to a blame the customer model. This was my first and, obviously, last time doing business with this company. I'd advise checking out Art Van or The Room Place before spending money at The Dump. I sincerely hope that your experience turns out better if you do decide to give them a try.

The Dump deliver and pick up

On July 4th I purchased 2 set of mattresses and was told they would be delivered on July 10th between 3:30-7:30. I did not receive a phone call til 8:30 stating they were on their way which they got her after 9. When the men (Darrell Lyons and Bryan Mckencie) arrived they were very apologetic and professional. I was told it was some one else who had the deliver at first. When I purchased the mattresses I ask sale representative (Brian Mallett)if you all pick up old mattresses he said no cause of bedbugs. I ask the deliver men if they pick up old mattresses they said yes, all the time the company charges a small fee. I thought it was company policy but I found out it was only for me. I was very offended that he look a me and decided I had bedbugs. Which I dont! Money was no issue because I paid cash. So is this the way the company go about deciding whose mattresses they pick up by the way they look? Please get in touch with me about this situation. order#540MVA213

The Dump black leather sofa chaise-top grain split match-model #0421g8122laf01

ISSUE: Deep sagging between 1st and 2nd cushion when product was not even a year old yet.
INVOICE #: 630MHH585

I requested two repair calls within the year. 1st call was repaired by Jose and he placed a plywood to hold up the sagging issue between the 1st and 2nd cushion. He said, if we have any future issues, call the AHM Furniture Repair at [protected]. This couch has not been sat on much because we are both busy professionals. One Sunday afternoon while watching TV, I sat on the couch and the sagging is back again, so I called AHM Furniture Repair & a 2nd repair person came out and took pictures and said will be contacted by a manager and they most likely will be sending a new cushion or some foam to fill it. I waited for 2 weeks, no follow up, nothing. Finally called the repair people and they said a manager is evaluating our issue and they will call us back. No phone call. Finally made a phone call to the Store Manager for The Dump in Irving TX and he called us back and said he will have someone look into it. A Supervisor (Kevin) called back just to inform me that there is nothing we can do since you own the couch for over a year now and it is no longer under warranty. He kept repeating the same thing over & over again. I asked what resolution do you have for me? I was promised that either a new cushion is going to be sent or some foam to fill it. The 2nd repair person wrote up some lies and reported that there was nothing wrong with the cushions, where he was the one that said that they may send you either some new cushion or some foam to fill the cushions. Supervisor Kevin was quiet. No resolution. Offering no solution to resolve my issue. I am not asking for new furniture, I just want mine repaired. Basically, The Dump DUMPS customers once they sell you their products. Amazingly, this same couch is still being sold in the same store in Irving at a higher price. We were told that this model was a closeout a year ago. Lies! Lies! Lies! I used to like The Dump and I recommend them to my friends, but after this incident, they are scratched off my list. Whatever you put out to your customers will come back to you. They have some good employees there but their stinking company policy of DUMPing people after the sale is not establishing goodwill at all.

The Dump a sectional sofa/misleading warranty info

On 9/27/15 I purchase a sectional sofa along with other things. I also purchased an extended warranty my saleman informed me if I have any issues it would be covered. The connectors that connects the sofa has detached, when I call about the warranty I was told that it was not covered. I believe the information is very misleading. The day my sectional was delivered it was missing a piece a few days later the missing piece came, that day the Atlanta falcons were playing and the guys delivering ask why we weren't watching the game I pointed to the guy installing the cable andI told him were not fans of football anyways. They were out of here within matter of minutes. Reflecting back I don't believe it was connected corrected. This also does not change the fact that the initial salesman gives misleading info about the warranty. Customer service was awesome at the time of purchase but its definitely different when theres an issue. I thought I found a new place to shop but I guess I was wrong.

The Dump kitchen table

I purchased a beautiful wood table from the dump. I also purchased their extended warranty that I was told covered everything! Any stain, break or anything that could possibly go wrong. The table almost immediately starting leaving white stains from hot plates.In the beginning they were easy enough to wipe off as time went on they have gotten worse and are basically a permanent mark on the table now. I cannot get the warranty company to do anything! When you call them they act all concerned and vow to call you back which of course they don't. Or they tell you to email them with the details and pictures and never respond! I called both the dump and their warranty company (Gbs) again today. The dump told me I needed to work it out with the warranty company - even though it is their warranty company that they sell you! And the warranty company told me a manager would be calling me back - and of course no one did!

Do not buy furniture or the extended warranty from the dump!

The Dump four leather counter stools that pealed after 3 years

We purchased these in Octobet 2013 for our new home. They looked very nice with the rest of our furniture. It is just my husband and myself so the dtools didn't get used as a family of four would. About a month ago, all of a sudden they started pealing at the same time. The quality of the leather seemed well made and we had no complaints until this started and felt they should have lasted longer. They cost over $1000 for the four. I am very disappointed.

The Dump unethical behaviour, refusing to replace damaged bed set

Bought a $700 bed from the dump turnersville, nj. This was a christmas present for my 4 year old daughter. The same day as picking it up, after my daughter went to bed, my wife and I unboxed the furniture to check the parts.

The 4 drawer storage for underneath was busted and the bottom drawer wouldn't even go in.

The headboard had a smashed corner on the top front, and we stopped even unboxing at that point.

We called as soon as they opened the next morning and reported the damage. I was instructed to send pictures, which I did. And we got no response from the customer service people after calling every day for 4 days! Customer service wouldn't even answer emails or phone calls from the store, let alone a consumer!

They finally said their 'wood expert' determined the damage was from me picking it up and they are refusing to replace or refund anything! So I am left with a busted bed, a very disappointed 4 year girl old without a bed, and a $700 hole in my bank account.

Apparently this is common practice for the dump. Sell product damaged, then refuse to give rma to take it back or replace it. The stores are not allowed to take product back unless the 'customer support' okays the return.

I am curious to know what training the so called wood experts they employ have. As a manager myself, I can absolutely attest to the lack of support training anyone at the dump has undergone.

The Dump product

I bought 2 mattress back in September, 1 queen and 1 king. I ordered the soft mattress, cause the hard was just to hard. When they came in, I picked them up and took both mattress to my parents house. They both sat in the spare bedroom for a month or so till I could figure out that to do with the queen mattress that's on my bed at my parents house. I put the new mattress on my bed and slept on it that night. The mattress was pretty hard, not the soft mattress that I ordered. Not thinking to much about it, but maybe I just need to break it in. Thanksgiving is huge at my parents house and with all the kids over, we brought out the king mattress and that's when I realized that I had 2 different mattress. The king is soft and very comfortable, the queen is hard and very uncomfortable. I have been sleeping on the mattress for almost 2 months and it hasn't broke in any at all. I called The Dump customer service and we went over the mattress tag, they said I have the right mattress. I told them, I don't care what the tag says, they are not the same mattress. Maybe it was tagged wrong, you know humans can make a mistake. I even asked my family members what they thought about the 2 mattress and they said, they are not the same mattress. I went to The Dump and talked to the manager, he was extremely rude and wouldn't even talk about the mattress problem and asked me to leave. You have lost a customer for life and I guarantee, I will never recommend anyone to shop at The Dump. All I ever wanted was the mattress I purchased. The queen mattress is as hard as sleeping on the floor. If I had my old mattress, I would put it back on my bed and throw this mattress away. That's how bad I hate it!

The Dump service

The sales reps in the Lombard location had cocky, arrogant, pompous attitudes in the mattress dept. They were very unhelpful & did nothing to make us feel welcome. They did nothing to try and make us happy. They acted like they didn't want a job or make commission. Just a bunch of NASTY PEOPLE! Also the SALES ARE VERY MISLEADING! WILL NEVER SHOP THERE AGAIN!

The Dump Unethical behavior, unauthorized charges, not providing a refund for merchandise I never received

I purchased a mattress and a side bar table on Memorial Day weekend from The Dump. The Mattress salesperson was not allowed to ring up furniture so we had to find a salesperson to ring up the side bar table. It took him over 2 hours and I was happy to finally get out of there. A day before delivery I reviewed my paperwork and the description did not match the product. I repeatedly called the store and told them it was not what I ordered. They sent it on the truck anyway and I refused delivery but did take the mattress. After multiple calls to the store and refusal to refund me cause they said how do they know I did not receive it, said Ms. McKinney and she refused to let me speak with a store manager. I was finally able to get to a salesperson Mr. Barkley who was able to check to see if the piece I wanted was there. He assured me he would hold the piece I just had to give credit care info over the phone. I did that to make up the difference on the pieces. Rafael Hairston the store manager also called me and assured me I would be taken care of and this was on the Saturday after Memorial Day. Sunday night comes around and I get a call from Mr Barkley telling me another salesperson sold my piece even though it had a sold sign on it. I had to email customer service on Facebook to get any sort of response. Mr. Hairston sent me an email with two circles on the two transactions saying I would be credited $348.78. This incident happened over 7 days ago. I never had any furniture in my possession. My account was charged immediately and my money should be refunded immediately. What is my course of action?
