The Doll House $150 denim tie dyed oversized blouse

While visiting Los Angeles, I was devastated to see the Doll House that’s also in Baltimore. While talking to the kind salesgirl I purchased an oversized denim blouse that I held up no noticing the large hole in the back. I tried to call several times, no answer. When I got back to Baltimore still no answer and she was never available. I left the blouse in the bag until it was time to wear. I didn’t discover the hole until I took it to the cleaners and they discovered it under the bottom. Never could find the owner so that’s $150 down the drain! What poor service but trust and believe I’m going to find her!😡

The Doll House dresses not being delivered and no communication with has been done.

To whom this may concern,

We have ordered 3 bridesmaids dresses on the 15th of August and our order number is #1587 which was expressed shipped literally for nothing. Now as you can see its literally been almost one month. We contacted through phone and email, every time we call we have to at least try 5 times to reach them and when we do very limited of information and assistance about our order is provide. our event is literally one week away and we STILL have not heard from anyone. An email or having someone to contact us and ensuring that our order is being processed would be VERY VERY MUCH APPRECIATED . Now we don't have dresses for the wedding and we don't have have enough time to purchase other dresses from some where else because you guys took our money and still nothing. This shows lack of terrible and i mean very bad customer service and consistency to allow your clients the desire they deserve.
I would like someone to contact us with the next 24hours other wise i want a full refund AND my dresses delivered.

The Doll House dresses

Ordered 4 bridesmaid dress on January 2018 told them how I need these dresses before April 2018 which they said it should be in Toronto way before that. I have been waiting for them to arrive and nothing came in the mail they took my money thinking I was gonna walk way and not do anything. After many attempts on calling they said oh they cannot get my dresses in the colour I want, which then I asked for a refund. It took me almost a month trying to get my money back which they never answer your calls. Which now I did call my visa company and got my money from them instead. Worst company and the MOST [censored] company. Fake dolls.

The Doll House Poor quality items and service

My wife purchased a dress from The Dolls House to wear to a wedding.
It cost over $1000, so we certainly did not expect it to start falling apart within the first hour of use.
The dress was covered in beaded stitching- at various places on the garment the stitching starting to unravel and the beads started falling off!

Needless to say the dress went back to the store.
After six to eight weeks of emails between us and The Doll Houses management, the refund we wanted was refused, however they did offer to replace or repair the dress.
We had zero confidence in the quality and workmanship of the item however, and a refund was only ever going to be the acceptable solution.

We lodged a complaint with the Office of Fair Trading, which ultimately didn't achieve anything.
The management at TDH simply fobbed off the complaint and stated that the dress had been damaged by my wife.

So, it was off to the Civil & Administrative Tribunal.
The staff at the Tribunal were extremely helpful, and it was looking very bad for TDH.
After much discussion, and because we'd had enough of having to deal with such a unprofessional company, we settled on being refunded 75% of the original purchase price.

The dress has been returned and we now have the agreed upon refund.
We're still out of pocket- but have learned an important lesson.
READ REVIEWS OF SMALL BUSINESSES BEFORE SPENDING BIG DOLLARS!

Obviously, we would never recommend this business or its poor quality garments.
We're not only the only ones to have major issues with TDH.
If you search for reviews of this company you will find the same common complaints-
Poor quality items, dodgy alterations, inexperienced and rude staff and stores that are poorly presented.

If you choose to ignore the negative reviews and take the risk, be extremely careful of the fine print on your receipt!
They are now asking customers to sign a waiver in an attempt to dodge responsibility should there be a defect with your purchase!
This is illegal, as are their 'no refund' signs.

Spend an hour familiarising yourself with your Consumer Rights on the ACCC or Fair a Trading websites. It could save you hundreds of dollars.
If you have issues- pursue them!
They will try to drag the matter out as long as they can in the hope you'll tire of it.
Once it's before the Tribunal they can't fob you off any longer!
It'll take a while to get there, but it's worth it.

Or, to save yourself the time, money and heartache- avoid The Doll House!

The Doll House doll house boutique in sydney

I went to Doll House to get my dress and they promised they would get it in. I was so upset when they didn’t come through for me so I went Sassy Boutique. They were able to get my dress within three 3 days. They had wonderful customer service and nothing was a problem for them. I really appreciated the effort they made to make my night memorable. i will never go to dollhouse again.

I ordered from Dollhouse in Top Ryde on the 5th May 2016, where I have been advised by the shop assistant that it will take 2 weeks for the dress to arrive. And there are no refunds if the dresses is tailored made to fit. My dress fit perfect so it did not need adjustments but it has taking well over 2 months rather 2 weeks as promised. I have called several times, only to be told that someone will return my call, which did not happen! My wedding is on the 5th August and due to the lack of communication, and concerns of not getting my dress in on time, a family member has purchased my dress elsewhere. On the 26th and today I have called for a refund due my complaint  and have been advised  I can only get a credit note for the entire deposit of $800.00 despite the poor customer experience I have recieved. And after being misinformed and mistreated I wish not to make future purchases from the Dollhouse store. So therefore my only request is to simply refund my money.
This is not the 1st time I have recieved complaints from your customers. If anyone out there wish to purchase bridal or formal wear DO NOT GO TO DOLLHOUSE TOP RYDE OR ANY DOLLHOUSE STORES. Peace

DollHouse Top Ryde has the rudest staff ever!
They have no work ethics or professionalism what so ever!
I ordered a dress months ago in RED only to have it delivered in MAROON! The staff said the dyes change.. then why promote a RED dress on your site when you can't even get it that colour? Secondly, they have not only stuffed up my dress to where I had to choose 1 off the shelf because I had no time to make changes to the original but i also had to pay an EXTRA $250 for the dress off the shelf as they said it was "more expensive" when it has been seen on the shelf by numerous friends from up to 4 months ago! They were not sincere in any way possible or willing to compensate for their stuff ups yet charge extra! They have absolutely no respect. My sister ordered a charcoal dress with a split at the same time i ordered mine, only to realise that when the dress was delivered it was silver with no split! But once again they wanted to charge an extra $90 to pull up the hem yet their was no split!
My sister-inlaws brides maids dresses were ordered in grey yet once again were delivered in the wrong colour! An olive green with not 1, not 2, but 3 attempts to try getting the matching belts out to us in the final week of the wedding!
Over and over again they talk a load of crap and cannot own up to their mistakes.
Serious lack of service and the most disgusting staff representing a once upon a time thought to be "amazing company" by many is now destroyed!
All up between my family and friends we have all purchased up to 9 dresses and only ONE was fine as it was brought off the shelf without any staff touching it!
They were not even willing to be of any help but try to cover themelves up as always, don't be fooled by their scemes, either you buy a dress off the shelf untouched by their staff or your best not to buy one else where!
Don't waste your money at this store ladies, it's not worth the headache or stress!
Deadlines obviously mean ### to them as i gave them a deadline of the 2nd of May when the wedding was really on the 7th of May, but WHY SHOULD DOLL HOUSE CARE.. THEY HAD THE DRESS DELIVERED ON WEDNESDAY THE 4TH IN THE WRONG DAMN COLOUR!
