The Book Depository purchasing a book

I am trying to buy a copy of Mein Kampf. I reside in The United States of America in California and my transaction will not go through from your end, I've called my bank provider and every thing from my end is good, I don't know why the Book Depository keeps declining my purchase. I've tried this purchase multiple times and it still doesn't seem to be working. Please help me sort this out, Thank You.

The Book Depository book not received

I ordered 2 books on December 4. One was shipped on Dec. 5 and the other was apparently shipped on Dec. 6th. I received the first book that was shipped but never the second. I've tried to write to you several times asking for the international tracking number but you have refused to give it to me. The danish post office is unable to tack my parcel without that number. They have tried to locate it using my name and address but without success. Because you have refused to give me the international tracking number I cannot locate the second book. It was a Christmas present and I am now unable to give this gift due to your incompetence. Your phone number posted here : +[protected] does not exist so I am unable to call anyone in order to help me but I am stuck waiting for your slow reply on e-mail. I do not trust your service and cannot order from you again. I am very disappointed with your replies to me on email.

Two orders made for children's books for Christmas .8books in totaland only one arrived ! I ordered theses in enough time and still no here no tracking.They need to have some sort of tracking system the customer services told me to check with my local post office but with no reference they can't really help !

these are the 2 subsequent orders where the books DID NOT arrived.

I was hoping to get the books as a Xmas Present.

Although I am a Loyal customer and has been ordering many books prior these incidents caused me frustration.

May I suggest you give a tracking nos for the customer to track the location.

And Please help me get the books before before XMAS as stated in your

The Book Depository date of arrival of order + claims of orders arriving before christmas

Order Confirmation
Order #[protected] : 9 December confirmed.
Yesterday the 12 December I got an email to say to say that 13 Dec was the last day to order books that would be delivered for Christmas.

But my order above, although when I ordered it before checkout it said it would be delivered before Christmas, when the acknowledgement came it said delivery on 27 December.
If this is the case I will be returning it, so please let me know if that is the definite date of arrival as I will have to get another book for a present if that is the case.

-October 18th : any of the two parcels is arrived yet

The Book Depository customer service at book depository service order reference bdu-718-[protected]

I used to buy from Book Depository and then had moved house a year ago. Changed my address in my account settings, ordered books few days later and .. guess what, they had sent the books to my prevous address, that I have no access to any more.

I have no idea where they took the address from, as my account already stated only one, current address. I immediately reacted but all I got is 'we are very sorry'.

Well, I paid the money for the books to be sent to someone else.

So I am sticking to Amazon now that I know would sent them again if they had caused the mistake.

Watch out!

Told 31.08.18: "We're pleased to let you know that your order is winging its way to you, and is due for delivery according to the times below"...
Europe: 4-8 days
Book NEVER SENT.
Made various complaints.
On 28.09.18 told: "We are terribly sorry for the delay in dispatching your item; it appears we have had some difficulties in trying to obtain stock of this from our suppliers in the usual time period due. If you do not wish to continue with this, please advise and we may be able to cancel this providing it still hasn't been dispatched".
I asked for a refund.
On 2.10.18 told: " am sorry but we can't issue a refund because we sent a replacement to you on 28 September 2018. Once this has been received you can return this to us for a refund".
On 2.10.18 l replied: "As l have repeatly said l need the book QUICKLY because we are going away shortly. When will l receive this book... ? I have been waiting for 32 days so far... You quote Europe: 10-14 days. I have been a customer of yours since 2012 having ordered more than 100 books, the address is the same as always for Spain (I have Spain & UK) and never been treated so badly...
If you dont get me the book quickly this will be my LAST ORDER from you guys.."

STILL NO BOOK - However they took my money £14.32 on 28.08.18...

The Book Depository the tibetan book of the dead / physical quality of the product

I Just received my order, ID BDU-669-[protected]
Title The Tibetan Book of the Dead

and it came with pages that are not properly cut (see pictures below).
I would like to request an exchange for another, proper copy. How should I send it back to you, keeping in mind that I am not willing to cover the shipping costs?
Exchange is the only satisfactory solution to me as this book is particulary important to me and I need to have a proper, piysical copy of it in a perfect condition.
Looking forward to receive your reply in the shortest possible delay.

The Book Depository wrong books received

Hi I have received 2 books which you have already sent me. The 2 books that i ordered i have not got yet the correct order i will attach the correct rec confirmation of payment. Please advise me of what the next stage is it has nothing to do with post office in Australia. I ordered i paid and still no goods.

The Book Depository non delivered item

Terrible service. customer service condescending slow to get back to you. ordered a book to be sent to spain and after one month it hadnt arrived. staff refused to look into the reason. kept telling me that the item was dispatched but couldnt tell me where it was. amazed they are still in business. they cannot compete with companies like amazon who are very customer orientated fast etc...

Order of 6 books hasn't arrived, and is beyond what was suggested as "shipping durations".

I've sent multiple emails to the help email address of the company, all with which were answered by "please check your local post office" even after I replied, there was nothing under my address at my local office.

I would like to know where the packages are.

The Book Depository no delivery after ordered & ridiculous customer services

The Book Depository is terrible company. I query if they are cheating their customer.

The book ordered in Jun has not been received so I raised the concern and request the staff to check my order. The staff just asked me to check with my local post office but providing nothing assistance.
1) I don't know which delivery vendor used by The Book Depository. Where can I check the order status?
2) then, the staff told me They are using the local post office. I also checked with Hong Kong post office and HK post office requested me to provide a list of delivery information which only the sender knows. Of course, I have no such information as I am not the sender. So, I asked the staff to provide that kind of information for my checking. But she didn't, just mentioned that the order has been delivered.
3) Then, the staff mentioned the email I am using is not the one using for order placing. So, she rejected to serve me as the email used is not the original one. But actually, I am using the same email address. It's ridiculous customer services!

This is what kind of customer service!?!? After the order placed and the money paid, The Book Depository don't care of customer concern, don't care if the order has been delivered to the customer.

They delivered the book to me at the end after continuous complaints. Anyway, it is really the worst customer service. I won’t order with Book Depository any more even if the price is lower. Good luck for you!

had exactly teh same experience. they went on about me using the wrong email but they focused on the email i have my paypal account with which is nto the one i use for my account with them ... such a bad company.i am AMAZED that they are still in business...they cannot hope to compete with other companies such as amazon.

The Book Depository terrible customer service

Book Depository sent me the wrong book and had clearly mixed up my order with another customer's; his label was visible beneath mine on the package. I've been trying for months now to get either the correct book or a refund, to no avail.

Every time I ask whether the correct book has been sent, I enter the same customer service script where they tell me it was delivered; I explain that it was the wrong book; I answer a series of questions about the title I received, details of the order and the package, and my address; and they promise to send out a replacement, with no indication that they have done so yet. I've repeated this circus four times so far.

I am giving up. The other book I ordered took nearly a month to arrive anyway, and while they blamed USPS, the problem actually seemed to be with their shipping contractor Liberty Express / On Demand Mail Services. Book Depository (now owned by Amazon) seems too much of a mess to bother with again.

They also post fake five-star reviews on Trustpilot. Nasty company with bad-faith fake customer service; not the place I remember ordering books from in past years.

The Book Depository 4 months order not delivered

I put in anew order 4 months ago and I still haven't received anything. Book depository service is the worst I have ever encountered. No response whatsoever. My order number is [RU234439220NL]. I wish I had never ordered with them. I have sent countless emails but no one bothers to respond to me with the details of where my order is. I wonder if it was sent. I will never place an order with them again.

The Book Depository delivery is taking ages

The books I have previously ordered have not arrived yet now that it is already past the 10 business days a.k.a. two weeks period after dispatching. My previous purchases have never taken this long to deliver/ship and it is getting frustrating as I am on a hurry to get my books before a long leave. I have made my purchase pretty early last month and was expecting to get my products even before August, but that never happened and I am still desperately waiting for the books and am getting worried about it.

The Book Depository delivery speed

The speed of the delivery is horrible. It is way off the estimated time for delivery and it just feels like they don't really care about their customers. Their customer service is really bad and not useful at all. It has overall, left me extremely stressed out and annoyed over the last few weeks because I expected the book to arrive in time for a special event and I had to keep postponing it because it hasn't arrived and i got no helpful reply at all when I emailed and called the company. I would definitely warn others against using this due to my horrible experience
