Texas Roadhouse horrible service/ poop fly in my food

On 9/16/14 I went to the restaurant for my birthday. It was the worst service ever. I had to get my own utensils. No dinner roles after requesting. The waiter had an attitude. Rolling his eyes for everything. I was rushed the entire time. The floor was being swept right near my table and I had to step on trash to leave. Then I found a fly in my food. I feel that this cruel treatment was because I am Hispanic. I have been feeling sick since...

It’s takeout, you want the food fresh eat it there or perhaps they should bring all the ingredients to your house and prepare specifically for you at your home.

Texas Roadhouse rude

A few friends were meeting me there for dinner like we do about twice a month. I was there first, very few cars in the parking lot, on a Thursday about 5:30. I asked for a table for 5 to 6 and they said I needed to request a table once all of my party arrived. I said I had never had to do that before and the child working there pointed at a sign, looked at me like I was stupid and talking to me like I was stupid said "if you can read right here our policy states we won't seat you until your entire party arrives". Mind you, I COMPLETELY understand this if they are busy like on a Friday night. Since I was allowed to walk through first to see if anyone from my party was there (which wouldn't have been policy if they been seated without me), I knew they weren't even half full. Her attitude triggered my temper and I said "if my friends weren't already headed here, I would tell you to kiss my a**!". She said she could get a manager and I told her no thank you because I'd probably tell him the same. Of course I realize I was wrong for using bad language. But she could have handled the situation a little more politely. Anyway when 5 of my possible 6 party arrived, they still wouldn't seat us. We had to wait for the 6th person that we weren't even sure was coming! Asked for a manager, took another 5 minutes for him to get there, he explained the same dumb stuff and finally agreed to seat us after I told him we would never come back. After a few more minutes he returned and asked me if I said something derogatory to the hostess and I told him what I said and he told me I couldn't do that. I said we can leave and he said we needed to and I told them all to kiss my a**! Bad business. They just recently changed their entire staff and they need to train these children not to talk down to the customer. Once again, I was clearly in the wrong the FIRST time for the bad language but meant every word the 2nd time. Btw...there was another very unhappy customer waiting for his spouse before they would seat him. Ridiculous.

Texas Roadhouse longer wait

I went to Texas Roadhouse and ordered take out the cashier told me 20 minutes my food would be ready, I went back to check on my order 20 minutes after I placed it. 2 other customers came in after me, one 10 the other 20 minutes, and they received their order within a timely fashion. The cashier just kept saying that it was coming up and she was going to get. Continued to wait, it was not until I contacted the girl at the counter that I wanted to cancel my order because it was 45 minutes, for chicken fried chicken, salad, and potato, which was ridiculous. Horrible customer service, I will not be coming back.

Sigh another adult who does not know the difference between a "lady old enough to work" and a "girl". If you cannot tell the difference between a child and an adult do you really know how to count time?

Texas Roadhouse very poor customer service

My family and I went to the the Texas Roadhouse in Kingwood, TX. We ordered the 10 oz prime rib and waited. After 15 minutes the waiter came back and said that they ran out of the prime rib... No apologies or anything of that sort but just "we are out of prime rib would you like to order something else?". So my daughter ordered a 10 oz fillet medallion, I ordered a sirloin, and my wife ordered a 10 oz ribeye - all with salads. Our salads came and my wife's Caesar salad was bland, my vinaigrette salad was served with vinegar and oil. When our steaks were served, our daughter's steak had the wrong sauce on it, peppercorn instead of mushroom and my wife's steak was medium, not medium rare! The manager came out and we complained. She apologized and said that she will talk to our waiter. After all that, the waiter came and said "I guess I screwed up the order huh?". Again, no apologies! I can't believe it! We received a full bill like nothing happened. We are not coming back to Texas Roadhouse again!

Ashley: Steak has gone up in price here over the past 4 or 5 years, but worse than that, the quality of steaks available is such that in order to get a good one, you have to be careful where you go. They run about $18 - $20 for a 12 oz ribeye; T-bone about the same, in the chain steakhouses (that includes salad and a potato). I'd say that these days, a T-bone is more likely to be of better quality than a ribeye. In some grocery stores you can occasionally get a good one pound steak (weight uncooked, thinner than usual - but sometimes quite good) for about $7 - $8. So I usually just buy one and cook it myself. Strange as it may seem, Outback (which once had horrible so-called "steaks") now has very good ribeyes and porterhouse steaks and they know how to cook them med-rare (they cook them differently than they do the mediums) - priced about the same as Texas Roadhouse. This is true for the one in Rancho Mirage, CA, anyway.

It's always a good idea to check with the locals on where the best steaks are available wherever you are. Often its a non-chain that serves the best ones...especially these days.

Texas Roadhouse (Roseville, MI) used to be a good place to go for a reasonably priced steak of at least moderate quality. Last year or so, the steaks are of low quality, and the last two times overcooked (I like med-rare). The steaks were gristly and mostly fat and connective tissue - even if you choose one from the front case. Flooded with a bunch of people who wouldn't know a good steak from a bad one. They're just "gettin' otta the house" ...and couldn't care less about the food. Bah! Downhill.

Texas Roadhouse unprofessional

had to switch our waitress because she had an addtitude when I didn't understand why I can order a kids meal and couldn't get the soda that came with it. she was being aggressive and ride saying (well I don't have to order it if you don't don't want it) and she rolled her eyes when I ask for the manager.made things worst when the manager came because I was explaining and telling him how she made me felt saying that she was f**king rude. then said( don't cuss at me) I said I wasn't cussing at you he said yes you are.wow now he is arguing with me! I told deni it was towards her that was the one being rude to me. he defended her by saying to me that she has been here for 9 years, wow really is this guy defending her.so yes he ask me what can he do for me .that is when I asked him to change waitresses.so we got another waitress her name was crystal.she was awesome.i then didn't feel like nothing was right the way he was speaking to me like I was a child.i then ask our waitress to give me the coorparation number.she said yes she will be right back.deni came back and said he is the owner of this place and gave me his business card.i told him I don't believe you that you are.because the way he handle things was dead wrong.then he told us that he put a lot of money into this place and invested...what kind of manager tells their customer of how much money you are making!pretty much his telling me he have power and im wasting time filing a complaint! srew you deni ! that texas roadhouse needs new bosses so un professional!

Texas Roadhouse poor service (rude manager)

Went to Texas Roadhouse recently with 2 friends. We called in a reservation. We waited to be seated, had to wait 10 minutes for drinks, then ordered appetizers that took a while, then ordered our food and 30 minutes later we heard a loud crash and plates falling and the manager (Andrew Lovett) came out and told us that 2 servers bumped into each other and our entire order was dropped. He said that it would be another 20-30 minutes and offered no compensation. We said we did not want to wait another 20-30 minutes, for we were there over an hour without food (and it was NOT busy at all). He said I'll get your check -- we had to pay for the little food we ate and drinks (he could have offered to cover it, considering what we went through). He walked away twice, not caring or offering any compensation. I e-mailed a complaint when I got home and 2 managers called me back and said they would look into the situation, but were upset of how we were treated. Haven't heard anything back, but I'm now awaiting the Corporate Office's response. Avoid this place or else you could be treated the same way! I strongly believe that Andrew's behavior is tolerated by Texas Roadhouse and I'm deeply disappointed!

Last Christmas we bought numerous gift cards because of an offer of Spend $100 on Gift Cards and get "Free Appetizers for a Year".

We bought the gift cards and received the card. The first time we went to use the alleged "Free Appetizers for a Year" card, we learned that it is NOT "Free Appetizers for a Year", but only ONE free appetizer per MONTH, and it is only good for a Maximum of $7.00 per use ! That is a far cry from "Free Appetizers for a Year".

To rub salt into the wound, tonight we went to Texas Roadhouse for Dinner and wanted to use the card for the "Grilled Shrimp, which cost $6.99, and were told that shrimp is a "Protein" and we could no longer use the card for the grilled shrimp appetizer.

Texas Roadhouse is making up reasons to NOT Honor their offer of a "Free Appetizer every Month", even though it should really be Free Appetizers for a Year.

I can't begin to express our disappointment in the Fallston Texas Roadhouse.

Texas Roadhouse $3 iced tea

I can imagine as you saunter into the trh you immediately get that "down home" feeling of the old south; the magnolias, the grassy fields with bluebonnets, the sound of george strait droning on and on... And gosh, ya think, a glass of iced tea is just right for this coozy lone star atmosphere.

Fyi that glass of iced tea you order here is three dollars! Not the bubblin' crude and not skyy on the rocks: iced tea. And oh, by the way, the waitress doesn't know this, and she can't find it on those deceptively "informative" menus that sit at the table and shout out all this stuff about the drinks. The price isn't on there.

But if you put the visitin' aside for a minure, when they bring back your bill look at it - before they bring the pay copy out. (You get one chance to see what you are paying. Just remember that.)

The menu is reasonable, and there are much better things these days then the steaks for whatever reason... But order it with ice water unless they give ya mineral rights.

I knew I almost always order ice water with a meal, and there is a reason;, yeah I know why...$1.75 coffee, $1.89 cola... Nah, I pass on that. But my gosh! Three dollars for iced tea! No way jose.

Texas Roadhouse lousey ft worth ribeye

Ordered my usual 12 oz Ft Worth ribeye like I have for 10 yrs and got a "steak" that was 1) one half to two thirds the thickness of the former Ft Worth Ribeyes; 2) so tough and full of fibrous tissue i couid neither cut it nor chew it - even though it was med-rare as I ordered it (yes, they got that part right).

As an old "Steak & Ale" guy that knows what a good steak is, Texas Roadhouse has apparently joined the club that serves an inferior piece of (soup) beef that is not anywhere near the quality that I have enjoyed at that establishment for years. My read: yup, the price of beef has become exhorbitant, but the slugs that come into this place would leave in droves if they had to pay what it costs the restaurant to provide a good ribeye. So we just get junk and keep the price the same. I guess, lucky for you, these "folks" are just out to have fun and socialize, and dont have a clue what a good steak is.

But I used to come in there for good steak, I'm not a cheapskate. If I order a ribeye, I'll pay what it costs. Just make triply sure its a ribeye of your usual quality.

My advice: Jack the price up to $19.00 if ya have to..or just drop it from the menu altogether, maybe with some comment to the effect that ribeyes are real expensive and maybe come up with a cheaper but for Gods sakes, palatable alternative.

But don't without any compunction think you're gonna pawn off that junk at the same price and in the same place on the menu and think that I'll ever come back. I don't cotton to being treated like a stooge. And you also lost 3 other people from your regulars - we all examined that piece of junk.

Not a way to run a restaurant. At least not as long as people like me are around and aren't fluffed by all the atmosphere. Nope. A steak is a steak. That's what we go there for - no...that's what we USED to go there for.

Texas Roadhouse service

July 3, 2012 I arrived at approximately 4:40 pm to have dinner. First we were seated at the wrong waitresses table. We were aware of this when our waitress Megan seem to rush us when ordering. She later told us we were at the wrong table and this belonged to someone else but continued to wait on us. Everything seemed rushed as we tried to decide what to order after returning several times before we had time to look at the menu. She came twice to clear her ticket and we were still eating and found out she was getting off and trying to get her tip.Two other waitresses came over and informed us we were at the wrong table and our waitress was gone. My friend replied "what does that have to do with us?"The waitress said we were holding someones table. Is there a time limit when you have to eat and get up? My friend informed them we prefer to sit and talk and then I asked her if she was asking us to leave so we wouldn't block her tips and she said yes. It was very distasteful we could not sit and talk and there were numerous tables available. We gave 1st waitress over $7 and the second $20and asked to leave, how awful. This really spolied the day and we got up and left. We did not owe 2nd waitress anything because we were finished when she began work. How horrible to ask us to get up. She was compensated for the tip she thought we were making her miss and I am sure it would not be $20. Robbie Johnson.10300 Lanehart rd. Littlerock, ar 72204. Please respond.Thank you.

Texas Roadhouse you had a steak you couldn't even eat and they give you ten percent off

My husband and I went to the Texas Roadhouse in Newnan about 2 weeks ago.I think it was a New York strip he ordered. I got a ribeye and it was very good, but his was burnt on the edges and scorced. He couldn’t even eat it. I even tasted it and it was awful. The manager came to the table and offered to bring him another steak but we didn’t have time. After that taste, you don’t want another one. Well, the manager said he would adjust the bill.We thought maybe it would be at least half off. When we got the bill it was only 10% off. That was a joke. You had a steak you couldn’t even eat and they give you ten percent off. Needless to say we won’t be going back there.

Had he rejected the entire plate you might have gotten more compensation. You can contact corporate but you're likely to receive useless coupons comping or substantially discounting a meal, useless because you swear you won't be returning.

Why should you get half off the entire bill when the steak was not worth half the bill?

They offered you a new steak and you refused. Whether you were in a hurry or not isn't really an issue, because they did try to make it right, and you chose not to accept.

Texas Roadhouse fraud

Myself and my family came to your establishment for dinner, my bill was $73.91 + added gratuity of $12.15. I didnt authourize the tip to be taken off my card and the tip was covered in cash! I want to know why it it suddenly on my card now! This is an anlawful act and and I want it removed asap! Not to mention the server not only spilled a drink onto the laps of my niece and mother in-law, but waited till the end of our meal to clear our table! If this isnt corrected removed on my card, actions will be taken. I know its only $12.15, but the service certainly was not worth $24.30 and was unauthourised as I filled the slip out for the $73.91, and left the tip in cash!

Texas Roadhouse unprofessional management

Someone from the corporate office needs to check out the unethical practices of the management team at I-240 & Service Road. Rex Boatright, Deni Simic, the new store manager and Chad are using threats of lose of hours, intimidation, slandering the character of employees and the worst of all demotion of rank. With no reason or cause for such action. These managers are only at this job it seems to throw they're wait around. Staff members are belittled, taunted, intimidated daily. If the corporate office would step in and talk with most all of the staff. With no reason to worry of the retaliation from Rex, Deni, or Chad you could learn quite a lot of childish behavior being demonstrated daily to the staff members. I believe this behavior is considered to be unethical. And there are things being said from these men that are very very unprofessional. If corporate and the share holders don't step in I see this store going down and out in about 3 months if that long. We have started a petition of boycotting texas roadhouse until the management changes or drastic measures have been taken to fix these issues. The petition is of all the regular customers that are tired of these managers, poor service, running out of food on a daily basis. This store is in such KAOS AND DISARRAY. This store needs IMMEDIATE INTERVENTION NOW!

You can't put all the blame on to one person, when you have employees (training mgrs) like Danny W. knocking up coworkers like Angie G. in your restaurant. Unprofessional employees need to be managed properly at this location before your Store Manager can do his job properly and professionally.

Texas Roadhouse bad managment

After filing a complaint Rex the area supervisor has issued threats, accusations and has made it very clear there could be retaliation for someone saying anything. Considering he is the one who got Russ the job as the new store manager. And his reputation would be put in jeopardy. Just as my complaints stated the managers believe in getting even. And seek revenge for those who say or do anything. This store is in desperate need of managers with real manager skills. And truly know what it means to run a productive and profitable store. Without running off the regular clientele or making staff leave for better managed stores.

Texas Roadhouse bad managment

The new store manager from TGI Fridays has only been a manager for texasroadhouse for 3 months. He has not manager skills. He is out of the restaurant as much as he possible can. The new kitchen manager got his job through area supervisor and has not manager skills to run a kitchen. He does not know how to order the proper amount of food products, so they run out of steaks, baked potatoes, sweet potatoes, fries, etc, on a daily basis. He also likes to yell and belittle staff members so that customers can hear what is being said and to whom it is being said to.He has made comments where customers can hear, saying that customer service isn't everything. And that appearance and perfection is also not important just get the food out now. There is another manager by the name of Chris and all he does is sit at the bar top. To flirt and talk with the very young waitresses instead of serving the customers. The store is in a state of disarray.Members are criticized and shifts are taken away for nothing more than revenge and getting them back for whatever the reasons Chad decides to make up.And he is never been punished for such behavior. Due to whom he knows within the company. That is so very wrong.

Texas Roadhouse ridiculous service

DO NOT waste your time at Texas Roadhouse. It is over crowded and their service is ridiculous. We did call ahead seating 90 minutes Prior to going and then stood in the lobby for another hour. After an hour had passes they still could not give us an approximate time frame for when they could sit our party. All the girls working the front desk seem like complete idiots. I will never step foot in Texas Roadhouse again.

I have been going yo your resturant for about six months every Friday night, We ordered 2 drinks from the bar and when they come out they were wrong..We ordered the 24 ounce steak and it was wrong. We got one of the mangers that was working that night and we told him what had happened and he said the waitress was new . We told him we would not be back and he said that he was sorry we felt that way. He would not do anything about the problem we had. I do not thank that was the right way to handle it. My name Jane Leimone at janekl1218@live .com the steak house in Wilmington N.C. Thanks

Texas Roadhouse bad management and bad food.

Tonight we met friends at Texas Roadhouse because that is where they wanted to meet. Prior to tonight our last two visits were horrible and we had no plans of going. My friend is pregnant and that is what she wanted so we ended up here. Service was good but management sucks and cooks in a steak house should know how to prepare steaks. On my first visit they failed to prepare my steak correctly not once but twice. My boyfriend was long finished eating and I said never mind and we left. A manager brought us a coupon to to replace my meal on the next visit. My second trip they again messed up my steak twice again. This time we just left and swore not to return. Lastly tonight, my first steak was again wrong. Upon asking for a manager "Jason" the manager was so rude about the entire thing I got so mad I went outside leaving my friends in the building. Our two friends were upset that our nice evening out turned into everyone finishing their meals and my sitting there watching. Worst steak house in Memphis stay away!

Ate in Va. Beach. Lets take that back. My 2 kids and 2 grandchildern ate. My steak was ordered med rare and can well done. When the waitress returned to say it would be out shortly my kids had fininshed their food. I told her to cancel my meal. The Manager came over and ask if I was sure or did I want it to go. I told him I was staying at a local Hotel and I'm sure. The waitress said she would not caharge me for it. I said that fine since I never received it.
I travel 7 states weekly with 150 Home Depot storesfrom Maryland to Augusta, Ga. That's the last time I'll pay $42.00 for food and didn't eat. They even charged me for my ice tea.

Texas Roadhouse food quality-

My husband and I had been going to the Texas Roadhouse Restaurant in Denton for a long time. This past year we noticed the food quality has been going downhill. I ordered a prime rib dinner MEDIUM WELL and when I received it, the meat was the end piece of the prime rib and so dry and tough that I couldn't cut it with a knife.

I had to send it back. Another time I ordered their fried chicken salad and they forgot to put half of the ingredients listed on their menu for the salad. Once they even forgot to put the chicken on their chicken salad.(had to send it back) In one years time we have had 5 times to send back the food. Each time they apologize and tell us that it should never have been sent out to a customer but the damage is already done. It not only ruined my dinner experience but my husbands as well as his dinner got cold by the time mine was resent to me as he didn't feel right eating while I had to wait for the restaurant to recook my meal. With so many restaurants out there that have better food quality and prices I will NEVER go back to the Texas Roadhouse again.

I have never heard of anyone ordering prime rib medium well--so of course was tough! It should be medium rare or rare, to get the full flavor and taste.

Texas Roadhouse racist vandalism

Dear Sir/Maam, I used to patronize this restaurant quite frequently, I drive 45 minutes from home to get there, the food is great, best steaks around and the service has been good as well. About 2-3 months ago I was standing in the waiting area leaning against the wall between the front door and steak display. I moved a little, a friend I was with told me to step to the side, on the wall were the letters KKK carved into the wall. We were both appalled at this blatant display of vandalism in such and open area of the store. So I took my mobile phone and took a picture of it, and the flash was so bright that everyone in the area turned and looked. Mind you, this is at the front door about 4-5 feet from the hostest who looked as well. I assumed that once we left someone would come see why the picture was taken and it would be removed. I went back a few weeks ago and its still has not been been removed. The sad part, besides it being at the front door, directly in front of the hostest podium and busy waiting area, its directly beside a fire extinguisher. Which means one of two things, the fire extinquisher is not being and service or checked as required, or whoever does the inspecting agrees with this type of behavior and ignores it. At this point I had no choice but to voice my displeasure with this total disregard to this expression of intorlerance and though I hate to say it, racism . To me it equates to calling an African American the "N" word, or a homosexual the "F" word! I am a retired US Army combat veteran who just turned 41 last month and 90% disabled in defense of our way of life. I continue to serve this country as a civilian employee of the US goverment dispite my health issues. Is this what I and some of my brothers in arms gave all or part of our lives for? I would pray not. It might seem like I an overreacting to something apparently insignificant or small, but that small something has caused a lot of pain people and will continue unless we check it before it grows. This is honestly the first time I have ever written a formal complaint against any commercial establishment, but I like this place and feel it deserves better. Be it management or new workforce, but I do not want that to happen or for anyone to lose their job. I just want it brought to the managers' attention that he/she needs to be more diligent and pay more attention to detail in the daily supervision of their care. There are those of us that notice things and will not stand by idle and say nothing. Thank you for allowing me this forum to voice my opinion and hope it results in some kind of positive change,
Very Respectfully,
Dwayne Adams US Army, Retired "Still Serving"
