I moved into an apartment at the end of August 2010. The address of these apartments is 1255 Huron St. in London Ontario. Everything was fine with the apartment until the cooler fall and winter months starting coming. As the weather started to get colder, cockroaches started to come into my unit. They were crawling up the bathroom drain. I immediately got the building manager to call a pest control company. When the people from the pest control company came to bait my unit, they pointed out old bait that I had not noticed when I first looked at the unit. When I saw that, I assumed that the building managers had known about this little problem well before I moved in. Long story short, I attempted to get out of my lease, and was unsuccessful. I ended up taking the company to tribunal and the company's lawyer told me that the old bait was part of their preventative treatment with the apartment. She told me that there are treatments done every year, yet for some reason only had paperwork showing this from 2007. Also, she showed me a document that stated the unit I am in had never been reported infested. However, NINE other units in the building had. In order for them to have not known about the cockroaches before I moved in, those nine units would have had to reported those infestations within the 2 month gap of me moving in and noticing them. I have witnessed countless other tenants complaining about the same problem as mine. The building managers even tried to tell me that I brought the roaches in. I couldn't have because this is my FIRST apartment, and I have all brand new furniture. Also, there is mold constantly growing on the bathroom ceiling, which also means that was there before, and just painted over with white paint. I wonder why the company feels the need to fight so hard to keep one lease. Maybe because they never thought anyone in a building inhabited mostly by immigrants and young students with no resources would ever complain any farther than the building managers door. This whole company is crooked, along with all the people who work for it.

Terra Corp owes me money and won’t respond to my emails.
We rented a unit at 71 Grand Ave in London and started looking for a new place as soon as we could - we couldn’t wait to get out of that building.
Well, we gave our required 60 days notice, which took us to Oct 31st 2020. Half way through September the Property manager knocked on our door and asked if there was any way we could move out sooner as there were several people moving in/out on the weekend of the 31st. (This building has one janky elevator) I was reluctant because we had already paid up until the 31st of October (our LMR) and moving into our new place early was going to be an expense and an inconvenience to us. She said that we would get a rental abatement and they would “waive the cleaning” (not quite sure what that means. Our units WAS clean and we were respectful tenants.)
So we shuffled some things around and got out of there on October 15th (at absolutely no convenience to us) and passed the inspection. We were told that our key deposit (which we paid at the start of the lease) and the abatement would be mailed to our forwarding address. Well, it is nearly a month later and we still have not received it. I’ve followed up with the property manager, Christine, and was told to reach out to Leslie at head office. I sent an email 2 weeks ago and got a robotic “Thank you for your concern. We will be in touch in 1-2 business days” and then nothing. I assumed that we would get it around November 1st because someone at TerraCorp would’ve been at the bank cashing the rent checks (of course they never skip a beat on that one. They are deposited almost instantly). Sent another follow up email to head office this morning and got the same robotic 1-2 business day response.
I responded for that email, pretty angrily at this point and again got no response.
I’m fairly sure, given the nature of their business, that they’ve just done away with our money and we will never see it.
It’s almost comical because if we ever took this long to pay rent, we would’ve been in court like a week ago.
I strongly advise against renting from this company and take everything they say with a grain of salt because obviously something very shady and borderline illegal is going on here.
I feel like we were deceived here and I will be getting whoever I can involved. LTB, lawyers, whoever is needed to hand this handled because it is down right wrong.

Honestly since I moved into this unit I have felt consistently cheated. I viewed a unit with a dry basement, the basement seeps water 24 times every spring. After getting them to wet vac up the water and professionally clean the carpet ten times the first year they told me I couldn't get my basement cleaned anymore. The windows were broken when I moved in. The way the house seeps heat makes it a nightmare to keep warm. Ducts are clogged and when I asked for them to be cleaned I was told "well this is a rental". Living here has cost me do dearly I can't afford to move.

Me and a friend went to see a place here in London Ontario I find that the people who are mangers don't care about the tenants at all they just care about the money. The other thing I found out if people are on ODSP they got to have a co-signer on there lease to me that is a real joke to me I think they just want there own kind of people in the buildings. Plus from what I have seen from some of there apts the workmanship is nothing to brag about at all. As far it goes even talking with there head office is even more a joke and you get no where at all with them.

Hi @robjames,

I'm sorry to hear you did not have a positive experience when viewing one of our apartment buildings.

It is not our policy to request a co-signer when an applicant is on social assistance, but it may strengthen the application. May I ask what building you applied to so that we can speak to the building manager to ensure he/she is relaying the correct information.

Thank you in advance,

I've lived in various apartments for over twenty years, and renting with TerraCorp was by far the worst. I live in the building at 403 Stirling Ave. S in Kitchener (Stirling Place) and here is a brief summary of my experience:

1) The building is infested with cockroaches.

2) Maintenance requests are simply ignored. We have repeatedly contacted the landlord and property manager about our broken fridge. It has been ten months since we alerted them to the problem and no one has come to inspect let alone replace it. They are aware we have an infant but simply don't care.

3) When you contact the landlord or property manager, they will tell you it will be taken care of to get you off the phone, but never actually do the work.

4) The elevator is a major safety hazard. The door closes too quickly and doesn't stop when it encounters resistance. Our dog suffered an injury that cost us $700 in surgery, and our son's hand was recently crushed between the door and his stroller while trying to get off the elevator.

5) The property management compulsively schedules "repairs" to the parking lot. This involves throwing tenants' cars out on the street for days at a time without making arrangements to provide alternative parking. Most of the time, the construction is cancelled at the last minute and rescheduled again and again, so that tenants are inconvenienced over and over.

6) The rent continually increases, but the money is spent on "renovations" that don't improve tenants' quality of life. So while you watch cockroaches crawl across the floor, your food go bad in a broken fridge, and the elevator crush your loved ones, you are treated to new hallway carpets, paintings in the lobby, and freshly paved asphalt you can't park on.

TerraCorp's motto should be: "Shiny on the surface but rotten to the core."

Live at 472 6th ave Hanover ont. Riverside. Terra Corp is the worst management company that I have come across. We moved in 8 months ago. The first day we had to get the super as the toilet and the sink were plugged. Told them for months that it was not working. Finally got a new toilet a couple of weeks ago. Theye tore the lobby apart put in new tiles and drywalled the walls. As of this date it is still unfinished . It was started over a month ago. This week they painted the doors. If you can call not opening a door to paint it painting. Only one coat . Half the time there is no hot water. Your in the shower and the water pressure goes to nothing. Yet they have the nerve to raise there empty Apts up 100. A month. Then to top it all off you have to have 3 inspections when you give notice and they actually say in writing that you are to leave the apt move in ready. Also if it needs painting you are to pay for it. If a light bulb is blown out you are to pay them 5 bucks for them to put one in...bad bad place to live

Lived at 1255 for years before I got sick of all the problems and moved out. Ongoing problems with the boiler room resulted in water leaking in my apartment. There has been major damage to the apartment and to my belongings from the water. Management was slow to make repairs. Lots of other problems too. One of the elevators would frequently be out of service. The parking lot was supposed to be closed for a few weeks for repairs, but was closed for an entire year. The garbage chutes were blocked off to try to prevent pests from spreading through the building.

You are piece of trash, how bout you get some basic sh*it done like some security or even some handicapped access to your buildings in St.James. Oh I got an idea on the security note, you know those pieces of garbage cameras you put in 1299, put some in your parking lots too! maybe it will curb the rash of license plate theft that's been going on! Your company's reviews on google are so dam accurate, I absolutely love it. I have told so many potential renters WHILE they are being walked through your dank halls that they should look elsewhere. Good luck digging your reputation out of the trash, can't wait until I can move and your gutter ### buildings are leveled by the city. BTW enjoy the frequent visits you'll be getting from the city's inspectors, turns out it's nice to network around those holiday parties.

Terra corp.

Here is my review:
Need maintence? We got 7 notices to enter the unit, and they never showed all 7 times. Then finally they knocked on the door (Without notice) and i answered and let them do the required maintence. When they did finally come they were unprofessional and did a very fast job. Don't trust any of their notices, they never come when they say they are coming.
Parking lot - giant pot hole everywhere, and my car was broken into yay!
Stairwell and elevator - dirty, broken, always.
Expect the fire alarm to go off once every three weeks, for a "drill". Anooying.
Loud banging and drilling every day after 8am for maintence in empty units. Your walls will shake, and your pets will freak out. Also your husband who works nights... Will not get any sleep. But hey! You only paid to live here. Aweful!
Then, during their maintence, sometimes they will turn your water off... Only for 5mins they say (Without a notice served too) this has happened three times, and one time was for abut an hour and a half. No showers, washing your hands, dishes, flushing your toitlet, making coffee or brushing your teeth for you that morning. Thanks terracorp! :d
They serve you a notice to turn your power off for a day... And they don't give you compensation for that time...
Now they just served a notice that we cant park our cars in the lot for the day... So you cant be home on your day off. Thanks terracorp!
On the parking topic, they let everyone park there... All the kids have their parties every friday night (Lots of loud noise until 4am!) , so there isn't ever parking anyways after 9pm for the people who actually live there.

Our bedroom had one outlet. Every other room has two outlets. Keep this in mind before you move in...

I am currently in the process of finding out exactly what part of my rent goes towards maintenance fees as I have been staring at acknowledged water damage for a year now. The company doesn't care about anything as long as they are getting their rent. Another thing I have noticed is that for the number of people that use wheelchairs in the building, they do not have a handicapped button to push to assist with the opening of the door, pretty sure there is some law for that and it is being broken. I am going to enjoy my last bit of time at 1299 enjoying the repeated calls to the city on whatever violation I can find. Hope they enjoy building inspectors and fire marshalls.

Currently going down the eviction road for non payment of rent cause I refused to pay the 10$ a month that I was charged over the duration of the structure being closed and because they claim it as non payment of rent it is evict able even though it is paying for services not rendered will be seeking legal council

@kbelle86. I am very sorry that you feel that you were not treated properly. Please feel free to contact me to discuss this matter further. It is very important that all of our tenants receive a great customer experience. Enjoy your day. Sarah Beehoo, Property Manager.

@Panlceee There has been quite a bit of turnover at 102/110 Grand and we appreciate everyone's understanding as we transition over to our new building manager. Please feel free to go introduce yourself to Mike Beattie who resides in #1 - 102 Grand. Welcome Mike!

@Miserable Tennat. The parking situation at Barclay Towers is not ideal for sure. We are working very hard to get the garage up and running and better than ever! We have definitely tried very hard to accommodate the parking because we want our tenants happy, safe and secure. We did get news yesterday that we are in the home stretch of the construction! Please contact me with any further questions. Sarah Beehoo, Property Manager.

Thank you for your feedback! We have now added a tenant feedback form on our Website. Please feel free to send us your thoughts, comments and concerns directly to us at www.terracorp.ca. We strive to make your home a better place!

I cannot wait to move out of Barclay Towers. If I were not planning to move out of London in December, I would definitely be looking for another place to rent. As others have said, it is almost impossible to speak to management. I don't think that they have ever returned on of my phone calls. With emails it's about 50/50 chance they will respond. My PARKING LOT has been under construction from JUNE TO PRESENT (IT IS NOW OCTOBER). Terracorp is only providing one parking pass for a lot that is about 6 blocks away. No visitor parking, despite the fact that I was given 2 visitor parking passes (I actually picked this building because of the visitor parking). Originally, I was told the lot would be finished at the beginning of September, then the beginning of October, then mid-October. Well it's now October 16 and the parking lot does not appear anywhere close to being done. Another resident told me they are now saying NOVEMBER. I have no idea who they hired to do the construction (there are no construction company names anywhere). Whoever they are, they are rude to residents and cannot complete the project in a timely manner. I'm sure if Terracorp hired a reliable company, the parking lot would have been done months ago. Despite the parking lot being under construction (and the constant jack hammering) my rent increased in August. Management provides no information about the timeline. As I said, you have to call and email constantly if you want to hear any information.

In addition to the parking lot disaster, there are a bunch of loud dogs in the building, noise from parties, and the building is filthy. The hallways are in bad shape, with ceiling tiles hanging by a thread or only half there. There was a stain (which looked like vomit) in a stairwell for about 2 months. Laundry is ridiculously expensive ($2.25 just to wash). The elevators seem like they could break at anytime.

DO NOT RENT from this company if you want to be treated fairly and/or want a decent place to live and/or value for your money. I'm seriously counting down the days until I leave this dump.

I've been a tenant for three years at 102 Grand Ave. We have been through over four managers and are without one again. The hallways and stairwells are constantly filthy and we've asked it to be cleaned weekly. It's a mess constantly, dirt, filth, bandaids ... I've had ants every summer and yea it happens but they do nothing. I've always treated it myself. I had a leak in my bathroom 8 weeks ago, they had to cut a hole in the ceiling. Two months later the hole is still there and I've asked it to be fixed numerous times.

Best part. The tenants before me were evicted because my apartment was a marijuana grow op. They didn't tell me and I ended up finding dried up pot everywjere

Yes, don't be fooled by terracorp! ! You can attempt to contact someone about an Issue. but they will NOT call you back. After 6 weeks of an attempt to contact "management"on many different complaints, you may be lucky enough to have them answer your phone call and when you ask why they have never returned your countless phone calls, she will lie and say she "thinks" she tried calling you back. I'm so appalled by this company and it's so called management. I've had countless Issues and will be posting everything on my own forum so nobody needs to deal with this company. Sarah Jane at head office is bringing this company down and fast. I plan on taking legal action based on everything they've put me through

I used to clean the building at 1255 Huron for years and the vacant apartments. I know they did have preventative treatment for bedbugs because I witnessed it a few times. It's possible that the persons who are responsible for reporting them that lived in the units that had them, didn't do so! As far as the Rental Agent who called Terra Corp & got me fired (I think her name was Sarah) because I wouldn't let her in the apartment that I was not finished cleaning; I told her to come back in 20 minutes so the floors could dry and they would be safe to walk on; you can let Karma bite you in the ###. I've put a curse on your Head! You should never mess with Me! I hope for your sake also that you never meet me in a dark alley way...Bad things will happen to you if they haven't yet :) Have a nice day GFYS

I just happened to be searching online for the contact information of the landlord and happen to fall upon this side. I am completely shocked by some of the comments I read and thought I was reading about a completely unrelated company. I cannot imagine Terracorp Management having buildings in the condition as some people make them out to be. I just moved into my apartment about 10 months ago and have never been happier living in any place. The apartment was given to me in pristine condition - freshly painted walls, renovated kitchen, recently upgraded flooring but most importantly - impeccably clean. The building manager is a dream to be around. He is always friendly and available to help. He even helped me build an Ikea shelving unit!

The corridors and grounds are also clean, well-maintained and attractive. My friends who come visit me are always comment on how good the building looks and how great an apartment I have. Needless to say, I am a proud resident!

I have to agree with the last two posters. I lived at this building for the last 2 years and never experienced any pest issues. I keep a clean apartments and the landlord is consistent with the preventative treatments with the exterminator. Every building is bound to have some sort of pest issue at one point or another but as long as it is attended to appropriately, there is no reason to worry. The building manager and Terracorp Management staff in general has always been great to deal with before and after I signed my lease.

Terracorp Management has the highest regard for the comfort of its tenants. The postings related to pest problems are highly exaggerated and are isolated incidents. Terracorp Management Inc. takes a proactive role in making dealing with these issues by employing professional extermination companies to not only treat reported issues but conduct regular preventative measures to insure the problem is resolved prompt and permanently. The building manager is always available to respond to tenant concerns and our administrative staff can be contacted directly during office hours.

i have been a tenant in 1255 huron for 8 yrs now. i know for a fact the building manager that is in the building is the best that the company has had. she is very attentive and organized and goes out of her way to try and accommodate the many needs of her tenants. the building is in great shape and i know that my views are shared by alot of other tenants living in the building. there are certain things that cannot be helped, and i dont think it is very fair to blame a woman that i see on a daily basis with a smile every day working hard to try and run a high rise building. alot of the problems are caused by the people that live here and the majority are avoidable. i just wanted to say that i think the super that works here does the best she can and is a friendly and motivated worker.

My boyfriend, roommate and I moved into TerraCorp in November of 2013. We were not at all notified of any pest problems from the get go. It took only a month to find one in the lobby, and two days later we find them in our unit. We have taken our own precautions trying to help. We have been here for 6 months now and they have done one building spray and laid down bait, but that only worked for a month at most. It is a huge disappointment when you move into your first apartment to find bugs everywhere! Plus it's disgusting! On the other hand, out building manager is a very nice man, but he never follows through with what he says! By the way, our entire living room has floating walls(no studs what's so ever). Our bathroom came unfinished, and we are now having water damage in our ceilings from the apartment above us due to lack of renovating it after the fire. We pay $839.00 a month to live with cockroaches and bed bugs! They don't pay rent!
On top of it all, every fixture in our unit, including; electrical sockets, heat registers, door knobs and baseboards, are falling off! The heat register in our bedroom is almost completely off of the wall now. Our friends come over and get bites all over them. It's a complete embarrassment to live here. Just terrible and disappointing and gross.

As soon as we are made aware of an issue in a suite, we immediately hire Orkin and have them do follow ups until the issue has been resolved. We also provide residents with a list of preventative measures to follow to help ensure the pest do not come back. Together with using Orkin (which we have found to be a better company for pest control) and the follow up appointments and addressing issues right away, we have been able to better resolve pest issues in our buildings.

I kindly ask that you remove this post or mark it as resolved.

DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THIS COMPANIES SO CALL BEING DILIGENT AND PROVIDES EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!
I previously complained about the bedbugs in april 2010. 1255 huron st london on has not improved at all. first they accused me of having fleas after having my dog for 1 week in the apartment. when i told them a 2-3 months before i got my dog that i had bedbugs.(i forgot to mention that in my above first complaint about this company! If you TERRA CORP are soo diligent at getting things done why did it take you 2-3 months to come get pest control in my house? why did i as a renter have to call 5 times a month to say this needs to be done monthly not every other month or every 2 months that u decided to get pest control in?why did i battle with bedbugs for 1.5 years? why am i still waiting for the plaster to be fixed around windows and patio doors, broken floor tiles from the day i moved in. bought diatomeaous earth and put it around the perimitter of my apartment.within a month of me self treating it was gone!the only good thing about this place is i have bedbug free for a year . not because of them so called keeping up with the building. i as a renter paid out of my pocket and treated myself. They knew it was infested when i rented it out. we looked at the place 3 months pior to our move in date. the current tennantts were there. the apartment was cluttered and already packed up.boxes everywhere. i meationed i thought it was messy and odd they were packed so early.Sandra the rental lady says "THEY NEVER REALLY SETTLED IN! hmm that was my sign right threw something was up but i didnt think of it. The next door apartment was badly infested they finally evicted the people next to us, i guess they were constatly bring old stuff from the garbage into the apartment and i dont think they ever got sprayed till i started fussing with terra corp about my issues. They had also blamed me for bring it in. i bought brand new furiture since i had moved from alberta and there was no way i was bring my old stuff on a long trip.there was no way i brought it in.And it wasnt fleas as i had previously said. i have issue 2-3 months before i got the dog and she was bath and flea treated before entering my house!

terracorp put in new windows and new patio doors a year ago. im still waiting to have them re-plastered/or whatever they do to close that gap in the wall. after cutting the wall to have them fit.its all open with insulation showing. the plaster/paint where they cut is falling off.it like it peeling and cracking.its a real mess.i also fear for my dog as she use to get near it.and also likes to eat the fallen pieces of the wall.no drafts but its unfinished. and yes i too moved into this apartment with mold on the bathroom wall. they told me it was gonna be fixed when i moved in.took them a year.also a broken tile in my shower when i moved in from previous tenants.that as well was promised to be fixed and again took a year.(on top of it. i came home to find out while i was at work a repair man was there looking at my broke tile that they new about months ago.without a notice. they came in without my permission.(randy the old repair man mentioned it he was in my house earlier that day. i was at work. When the repair guy finally came in to fix the broken tiles in the shower. he said he could hear they were all lifted and there was damaged behind them. the building manager gary/ i believe his name is head guy at the office for 1255 huron st. told him to just replace the one tile . even though he was told it was full of mold behind it. hmm great company! REally ur improving i dont see that at all. so the guy took the few broken tiles off, the wall crumbled behind it, it was full of mold he forced/fought to get it fully repaired and did it.(great guy for that!)Very pleased with him. Thats the only right thing was done but he fought with the head guy down at the office to allow him to do it..Also my bathroom i have the old linoleum tile it was lifting and cracking and breaking off.took a year of complaining to have it fixed.randy did it. but then he says make sure to keep water off the floor and i will come back in a day to seal it . a year later and no one has came by to put the sealer on the floor to prevent future cracking/damage and lifting.the broken tile in my kitchen thats been broken since 2010 still is not fixed i gave up on calling them about it. why am i waiting on things to be fixed from 2010 its now 2013! terrible company!
this past year i had an issue with cockroaches they said they came in and baited. i never seen anything in my cupboards. finally i told them its getting worse. good 4 months later pest control came in and baited (i seen the bait, they definatly didn't do it the first time.i don't have cockroaches or bedbugs anymore. Now the on site building mgr lynn shes very rude. When u go to knock at her door she never answers i had a flood emergency and knocked at her door for 15mins .Finally i went to the buzzer she answered her cell right away. she was in her apartment the whole time. hows that for a super they are suppose to be there for emergency!oh and loosing ur house key is not an emergency according to the assistant mgr, she has that posted on her door. I've never lost my house keys (Thank god)(but that's a supers job. people loose keys all the time specifically on the weekend( I am sure the students do often. we pay rent if we loose our keys we should be able to have the super let us in. that's my only issue with the assistants. otherwise they do their job, they are older and they keep it very clean on the weekend. They are very friendly. i seen lynn leave her weekday work with the garbage for them on the weekend.poor older people having to finish her job shes too lazy to take out/clean up the heavy garbage furniture.she does the light garbage stuff and they get the big jobs.
Lynn does not keep the place tidy, shes not personable shes rude .majority of the time the elevators are broken 2-3 times a week. Elevators are filthy during the week from dog pee and ect. we had water issues no hot water 2-3 times a week for over 2 years. its now fixed. They closed off the garbage shoots they said to cut down on the pest travelling threw them. its not just the garbage. GET PEST CONTROL IN ASAP ON A MONTHLY BASICS TO BATTLE THE ISSUE IN STEAD OF MAKING TENANTS LIVING WITH THEM FOR MONTHS BEFORE U DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.!stop blaming the renters.Lots of immigrants here cant stand up for themselves. Do not rent from them. but im happy to say spring 2013 i will be moving. i cant wait!

We at Terracorp Management Inc work diligently to provide quality apartments and excellent customer service and we appreciate all feedback about our services because it provides us with opportunities to improve. Thank you for your feedback. We have addressed pest control issues at the St. James Place complex diligently and we continue to do so. Unfortunately, bed bugs are a global epidemic that are present in apartments, residences, hotels, homes across the world. We work with Steve's Pest Management and Rentokil Pest Control Services to not only address bed bugs and other pests but also provide preventative pest control measures. The London Middlesex Health Unit has very helpful information available on their website about the steps that both landlords and tenants can take to eradicate bed bugs effectively. http://www.healthunit.com/default.aspx In addition, we provide all residents with printed information on pest control services because education (along with regular maintenance) is the key to eradicating pest control problems.
In regards to the comments about the Building Management at 1299 Huron and 825 9th St. W, we now have excellent Building Managers at both locations and both buildings are well-maintained for all residents. We work diligently to address any building concerns and strive to insure that our buildings--inside and out--provide good quality to all tenants.

1299 Huron st london ont, is a total nightmare.I lived there for a year with nothing but problems from bedbugs, cockroaches and mice. I've seen bus shelters cleaner than that building no wonder its infested. My only beef with Terracorp is why keep such a lazy super in your building?

I live in one of TerraCorp's properties in Owen Sound (Victoria Towers). We currently have no superintendent - the past two left over issues with being paid. As I understand it, the most recent were not being reimbursed for payments on items like paint. Meanwhile, the one before that had his car up for sale because he wasn't receiving his paycheque. There had been an outstanding issue with the roof leaking - since repaired - that had not been dealt with for well over a year. Many apartments on the top floor had leaking ceilings (mine included), some worse than others. Other apartments still have issues with leaking windows and such. I had permitted TerraCorp access to my apartment in order to assess the ceiling and repair it (the damage was in the kitchen, which had been stated explicitly). Instead, they went on my patio and took the screen door away. Upon follow up with the property manager, she knew nothing about anything and demanded to know how I got her number (she had previously called me from it...). This sounds like a company destined to be pushed into receivership.

also moved into 1255 huron st. in april 2010, my boyfriend was complaining of being really itchy and i wasn't soo i thought it was just mosquitoes bites, well after 4 months researching and looking for this creature that was biting him, then they moved onto me. i finally found out we had been infested with bedbugs soo immedatly contacted the building manager for pest control they finally after 3 weeks of my complaint they brought in pest control, when they came to check my apartment they said . we dont see any so u have nothing, i told them that they cant find them cuz they hide at night and i vacumme every day.im extremely clean, i bought brand new furniture and nothing was used. i had just gotten a puppy a week before i complained . when they came in they tried to tell me it was fleas, my puppy had revolution and she was bathed as soon as i brought her home. anyways they finally sprayed my apartment from aug to december and i had to fight every month for them to do it they said it was to be done every 30 days sometime it would be 1month and 2 weeks between treatments. i threw out my new bed bought an air mattress. then january they ignored me and wouldnt spray i bugged them and come march they finally re treated me. ad have treated me from march.2011, till aug.2011. i ve also notice cockroaches too, told them the past 4 times they have done my spraying and say they will bait and havent done any baiting. when i moved in they told me all the repair would be done from previous tenants while i was living in the apartment. i had bad mold in my shower and they finally fixed it after a year of living with it.the building manager told the maitence guy to just fix the broken tile in my shower(was repair needed to be done from previous tenants.)the maintaince guy said its completly molding behind. he pressed the issue to fix the whole thing, the wall literally crumbled to pieces when he did it.it was full of mold. my bathroom tile was breaking apart into pieces and cutting my feet and it took them a year also to fix. they laid new laminate tile but im still waiting for him to come seal it so it wont lift up again. (4months now.) some one also broke their key in my mailbox i sent a request to them after a month they replaced the lock now refuse to give me the new key until i pay $35 dollars for a new lock. i cant access my mail. i had to break it to get into it again and now its locked again and i cant get my mail.i told them its an federal offence (they wont budge and say no it not we are not preventing u from access ur mail. im soo tired of this company. id love to take them to court but im soo cleaned out from every month having to pay to redo my laundry, take days off work, pay a puppy sitter on the days i have pest control in)my air mattress has broken its not made for everyday use so now my boyfriend and i have to sleep on the couch. its soo stress full, im in soo much pain for sleeping on a couch, i still feel itchy, my sleep is disturbed.soo when i had ask the onsite people if they had this problem beofre he said oh yes 3 other apartments on ur floor have it and the one next to u have been sprayed 3 times . so i was in this apartment durring the time they did next door yet they never once told me this . the people next door was dirty, it was like a drop in center they would pick stuff out of the garbage and bring it in. i guess they were the main people.i also told the rental lady i needed the apartment for april 1st she said that was no problem. come to find out the day before i moved in the lady tells me i cant move in because the previous tenants have until midnight to move out .they sorted it out and said well we will clean it for u whille u are in the apartment. they said you can move in the next day. i also almost had to put my stuff in storage and stay in a shelter for the night since i had no where to go. the nice thing is they did clean it before i moved in. but i thought it was spic and span but come to find out the stain they told me they couldnt get out of the carpet with the steamer, i used my steamer and it came out easy and the water was black. they just vacummed. they compltly lied. this company is awful they are getting away with treating me the tenant who unfournatly cant even says $40 some odd dollars just to go to court . when we looked at the place the previous tenants still occupied the apartment and it was 3 months before me moved in. they were all packed up and it looked like they had just moved in. i told the lady its a bit unkept and she said well they didnt get settled in too long. i should of noticed the warning signs. it must have been infested before we moved in. i know i never had this issue, when i use to hear my parents tell me at night dont let the bedbugs bite i thought it was all fake, i now believe it litteraly takes everything u have out of you.i dont think i will ever get back the way i use to sleep. i thought i found a great place to live for long term boy was i fooled. its a nightmarei
