rental representative
Curtis Gathwright also known as "Marcus Hughes" represents his parents properties for rent in Camden Ar. He will state he owns the properties as he inherited them. Not the case. Terrible reputation among real estate community in Camden, Ar. Tries to evict tenants for no reason. Arkansas laws very minimal for tenants and he will use that to his advantage. Sheriff's dept. Knows him well and referrers to him as a "Slum Lord." East Camden duplex on Ingram St. Neighbors witnessed him looking in windows of other homes "Peeping Tom." Any renters beware. House full of roaches, mice and neglected terribly. Numerous tenants complained and were evicted or threatened. He has post drug psychosis and not rational. Run while you can. Convicted Felon and awful human being.
Being made to pay more rent than nessasary
I have been advised to pay 261.00 a month when I get paid 8.55 hr every two weeks have 2 kids an a disabled husband who has been denied disability so only one income in home last year after accumulating a balance of over 1, 500 an receiving notices from landlord of eviction an going to court it was paid by housing with no advance notice of why they paid if this was correct had re certification an no change accrued I have sent in notices an have copy's of it-that I don't agree. No one contacted me but I still am accruing a balance this year this is not fair when I know others who pay nothing who make much more than I, how is this fair to people who are trying their best to survive an maintain?
Please advise the process I need to follow to have a tenant who has not paid several months blacklisted. The letting of the apartment is not done via an estate agent and I do the letting in my own personal capacity as the owner.
Hi your best bet is to request a state hearing asap with your local housing authority or request to have a meeting with them so you can get them to adjust your rent.
Bad odor
My name is Elma, I'm 82 years old. I live in the kingsboro housing, the senior building on the 18th floor. A few doors down from me a tenant has a cat. I don't believe he has emptied the cat box since he moved in (8 months ago). The smell is so bad until it's in all the apartments on that floor. I don't know what to do, I have to sleep with my windows open all the time. I don't prepare meals in my home because of the smell. I don't know who to call or contact.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Do you have a landlord? Let them know what's going on or just go to the other tenants apt that has the cat and tell him "it stinks!" Plain and simple.
