Teladoc Medical

I used Teladoc twice . Once for myself and my son. The service is horrible . Not worth the cost at all . For myself I had sinus flare up and the physician request that I visit my doctor . My son also they ask that I visit his doctor . The trend I've notice is a five minute or less call to advise you to see your doctor . I spoke to Brittany in customer service . She advised me that there is no refund for service not rendered and there are NO SUPERVISORS . HORRIBLE AND I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SERVICE .

Teladoc Quality of service

Stay away from this company! My son was diagnosed with food poisoning and had been continuously vomiting. The prescribed an oral form of Zolfran for my son rather than the dissolvable form which would be absorbed into his system rather than vomited. He took the medication and vomited it. The pharmacist told me to contact the doctor and get the correct form of medication (dissolvable not oral). Company wanted to charge me another co-pay. Doctor never returned my call.

Teladoc On call “doctor” service

No service provided at all. I entered the reason for my visit in the booking section and included pictures, I then was prompted to schedule a call. I paid my copay and received a call to be told immediately that I'd have to go to Urgent Care for my issue. I was on the phone for less than 5 minutes, Teladoc took payment knowing up front what my issue was and knew that they couldn't assist. They provided me absolutely no service. I called for a refund and the supervisor refused to give a refund for a service that was not provided.

Teladoc Poor service, rude doctor, inattentive

I have had good experiences with teladoc in the past, tonight was not one! The doctor was not helpful, rude, short, would not listen! After I told him what I was already doing for inflammation, he repeated to me to use ice, Tylenol and ibuprofen..which I had just told him I was already doing! I asked for a prescription for an anti-inflammatory so I could quit taking so much Aleve, ibuprofen and Tylenol! He said "I'm sorry I'm not able to help you!" His internet connection was horrible and he was totally rude! I used to think teladoc was a good option, I have changed my mind this evening! This is a benefit that my insurance provides through the school district I work for! Not much of a benefit if I can't use it when I need it!

Teladoc Medical

I called Teledoc about my medical symptoms and they are very incompetent. This is the second time I've called and all they offered is over the counter medicine that I was already taking . And after speaking to them both times I've had to go to my primary physician that then had to give me prescription medicine that cleared up my problem. Teledoc is a waste of time and need to be done away with. I do not recommend them at all.

Teladoc Type of medicine prescribed for a uti

I explained that I had a UTI with back and pelvic discomfort, as well as blood in my urine. I also told the doctor that I had taken a 500mg of cipro that had which eased my symptoms significantly - but that I only had 1 cipro and needed meds.

The doctor prescribed augmentin!

125 mg every 12 hours - and only prescrbed a total of 6 caplets.

Soooooo of course I am suffering because the type of bacteria that augmentin treats is not the kind I likely have (E coli)!

Who does that? I am 53 years old...why prescribe Augmentin when I said that the cipro worked so well - and why prescribe such a low limited dose?

I will never use them again! EVER!

I used to sell Macrobid and this practitioner thought I should have Bactrim. I told him that Bactrim would form resistant organisms and yeast infections where Macrobid would never do that. He didn’t know that. So I don’t think he’s a real doctor or PA or NP. . Teledoc is a fake and dangerous company.

Teladoc Waste of money-uncommunicative doctors and lackluster service

When I called Teledoc, I told the Dr. I needed a prescription for an acute flare-up and that I had taken the medication before. My request was timely because the later treatment is started the less effective it is in pain management. Even though I did explain that I took this only when needed, my statement was not intended to imply a single dose would permanently relieve my pain. The doctor said she would send the the Rx but did not inform me it was for only THREE PILLS TOTAL (equal to one day's dosage). Had she communicated this to me, I would have explained that I need to take it for 3-5 days for maximum effectiveness. Figured she knew that, she she's, you know, a doctor! Our call lasted less than 2 minutes and I felt rushed. When I called back customer service request more pills they said that because I didn't take it for daily maintenance, she did not provide a 30-day supply and I would need to make an appointment with my primary to get more pills. The only reason I used this service in the first place was because I couldn't wait for an appointment and needed immediate relief. I have never received an Rx for only a single day for this or any condition and three measly pills did not fully alleviated my pain. I'll also make it clear I'm not taking about a schedule 2 controlled medication either. Furthermore, CVS charged me the same amount as I would be charged for a 30 day supply, which averaged over $10 per pill for a generic drug! So, I'm out $70 for the useless Rx and the Teledoc fee for a useless, arrogant doctor who doesn't explain anything to her patients and then denied me additional help when needed. I'll use an urgent care facility next time.

Teladoc Complaint

My husband called Teledoc. He was very sick. He couldn't breath. His chest and back was hurting. So he called Teledoc on Wednesday morning. They gave him 3 pills. 3 antibiotics. That's all. It cost $40 for the service. Plus a couple dollars for the medicine. So Thursday night I had to take him to the ER. He has bronchitis. They gave him antibiotics, steroids, inhaler, cough syrup and breathing treatment. Thank goodness I took him to the ER. I feel we wasted $40 and time.

Teladoc Teladoc

After 4 days of aches and coughing, I read the website for Teladoc. It suggested times to go into the doctor (I did not satisfy those criteria). It also suggested times to get antibiotics (again, I didn't fit the criteria, and I wasn't necessarily looking for an antibiotic prescription...I was ready to let my body fight this). The Teladoc website said it can treat colds/viruses/respiratory infections. This appeared to be a better solution than sitting in a waiting room for an hour, feeling terrible. I was hoping and expecting the doctor would prescribe a better cough medicine than what is available otc. And perhaps one that contained a codeine to relax the over-active cough reflex that was causing me pain. After our 2 minute call, she just suggested that I go see my primary care physician. I'm upset that I could have received the same advice from a free nurse line. The Teladoc website should not be able to advertise that their doctors can treat a condition that they actually cannot. I will not use the service, again, and will recommend to others that it is a waste of their time and money.

Teladoc General medical service

My case was simple, my son contracted pinkeye at school two weeks earlier, my wife contracted it from our son a week after that, and I started to show signs of the infection a week after my wife. Because I wanted to get a jump-start on a remedy, rather than wait to see my primary care doctor which would have taken a day or two to get in, I decided to try Teladoc, who my insurance provider (Premera) has been touting as their preferred Telamed partner. The process was not overly smooth getting hold of a doctor, however, some of that could have been user error as well (they call from a restricted number and my phone does not accept calls from those lines); after a few tries I was able to connect with a doctor via video call. After talking with the doctor for a few minutes he too agreed that I had pinkeye and prescribed a remedy, and promptly 'called in' the script.

Seemingly problem solved, I went to the pharmacy 15 minutes later, picked up the eye drops, and started the treatment. It should be noted the script I was given was different than the one my wife and son were prescribed from a local doctor (which will be the start of the issues I have with Teladoc).

The next morning my eyes were both significantly infected, (it was originally just one eye), glued shut with puss. Once I was able to blindly get to the sink and clean them, I was barely able to open my eyes due to significant swelling. This was awful. But, I decided to use the Teladoc system to reach back out to the doctor to get a prescription update. As I researched the medicine I was prescribed versus the one my family was prescribed it was clear through many clinical studies the efficacy of the prescription my wife and son received was significantly better, and the medicine also was noted to clear the infection much faster than the one Teladoc prescribed. At this time, all that needed to be done to get a 4- or 5-star rating would have been to simply ‘call in' a new script; problem solved. (But no...)

When I finally received an email response, which to be fair was pretty quick, maybe a couple hours later, I was told to go see a local doctor, rather than giving follow-up care. What I read in that statement is ‘go see a real doctor who knows what to prescribe and cares about their patients.' So now I have paid Teladoc a copay ($20) and I would guess they will receive compensation from Blue Cross/Blue Shield for the ‘office visit'. I noted my dissatisfaction with the service and requested they refund my copay since they did not follow through with the remainder of my care, requiring me to go to a real doctor. I was told they would review this and get back to me within a couple days.

In the meantime, I was able to get in to see my GP, who prescribed me the medicated eyedrops my wife and son were prescribed, along with an internal antibiotic since the infection at that point was out of control, the whites of both eyes were not pink, but completely scarlet red, and swollen to about 70% closure. While my eyes are not 100% 4 days after the new medication was prescribed, I am nearly cured with the updated regimen.

Fast forward 3 (business) days and I received a call back from a representative of Teladoc. I was told they are denying my request for a refund, because I agreed to their ‘terms of service' before I was put in contact with a doctor. I reiterated, they reviewed the case, and were standing behind their legal ‘TOS' even though their doctor prescribed an outdated medicine that was less effective and took longer to work (if at all in my situation). And that while I used their ‘follow-up' option requesting a different, modern, prescription which is more effective in the treatment and was denied that they were going to keep their $20. I indicated that I would be making it known in every medium available to me that they provide a very low level of service and do not stand behind the treatment of their patients.

I generally do not post negative reviews in social media, or other review boards, but, because this deals with a person's health and wellbeing I felt compelled to do so. The interesting (upsetting) part in all of this, I gave Teladoc two opportunities to make this right; the first simply asking to be prescribed a more effective medicine which would have salvaged the entire experience, the second when asking for a refund which would have saved the negative reviews I am posting.

In summation, if you need treatment go elsewhere, do not use Teladoc. Go to your local walk-in clinic or wait to see your GP as the level of treatment you will receive will end up sending you to your GP (or other) regardless, costing you more time and money.

Teladoc Contact back to customer is very slow. Not even worth it.

Both my insurance and my husband's participate now with teledoc. So recently, I decided to try them. I was so not impressed. It took them 5 business days (7 if you count the weekends — I put in a request for my son on a saturday.) by the time they contacted me with a phone call the following friday, we had long since gone to a brick-and-mortar doctor's office. I won't use them/this service again.

Teladoc Scam, ripoff

I'm 56 yrs old and at least once a year I get sick with sinuses and coughing and brown mucus in my chest. After about a week, I get an antibiotic and I'm feeling better in about 2 days. This so call quack Dr. lambert said I just need to drink fluids, soup, and rest. I explained I know my body best and she acknowledged and called it upper resp infection but said she knew best and I don't need any anti-biotics and that they were bad for me over time. This was a total waste of time and money. I highly suggest that anyone reading this and thinking about using this money scam operation to look somewhere else as you will be disappointed.

Yes, antibiotics are bad for you over time. You might want to go see a doctor in person and work out a long term plan for your chronic condition that doesn't include antibiotics. Or find a doctor who will prescribe an antibiotic every time and see what happens. Your choice.

Teladoc Teladoc visit

My daughter gets an ear infection pretty easily. So instead of going to the doctor last time we used Teladoc. After a quick conversation she was told it was allergies and to take a OTC decongestant. A few days later we were at her Dr getting proper medication to resolve her ear infection. Fast forward a year and we are in the same situation. I opted to give Teladoc another shot. Same BS - she has an allergy. I explain her history and that we commonly get resolution by having to go to a Dr office a few days later to get the real medications to solve her problem. I then was scolded saying that antibiotics are not a solution for her problem. What a waste of time.

Jim- I too was told and Prescribed an antihistamine for a sore throat. I was on the phone with the so called Doctor for about 2.5 minutes, trying to talk to her but she kept talking over me- She was from India and had very broken English- I was trying to tell her that my 3 sons and grandson all had strep throat and Hflu and that I was showing the same symptoms. Teledoc took my money but did not provide care or a correct diagnosis as they state and promise on their website. I went to Urgent Care and was given Zpac like the rest of my family. This company cannot keep ripping people off. I am contacting a lawyer- it may only be $45, but times that by 300, 000 plus people that they are treating and its allot of money

Teladoc Policy

I have had teledoc for almost a year. I have a history of UTI and that is the only reason I called...to catch it early before the dr office opens and start medication immediately. In a year, this is the third time. The first 2 times, I was given An antibiotic specifically for this issue. I woke up in the night, and realized I had another UTI starting. I called and got a dr that said their policy for women over 50 to see their dr. I'm leaving town early this
Morning, now will have to wait to get an appointment, pay another fee and the. Get meds. I imagine this will take all day and I'm already in pain. I'm pleased
That the previous doctors who assisted me in Teledoc overrode that ridiculous policy and I was able to get relief. This one said UTI is common in women over 50 so they don't prescribe. It's going to be a long uncomfortable day.

Teladoc General medicine

I told the doctor my concerns about having 2 anxiety attacks within a week causing me to leave work. He said, what questions do you have? I said, ummm maybe you could help me. He said you need to talk to someone else. If depression and anxiety can't be talked about in general medicine talks then put that. I paid $30 to hear absolute [censored]. And am gonna have to pay again to go to an actual doctor...

Teladoc Teladoc/pharmacy fulfillment

Teladoc was surprising effective for meeting the immediate needs of a diagnosis and the physician was thoughtful and responsive. However they fell completely short on prescription delivery. I was provided a prescription at the conclusion of the consult only to learn that the pharmacy did not receive it electronically. I presented this information to Teladoc and was told they would not resend the prescription stating that there is a 72 hour turn around for prescription fulfillment. This was not spelled out or communicated at my time of enrollment or consult. The only way I was going to be able to receive my prescription was through an additional consult. This duplicate step is unbelievable, I would simply forward the pictures and question I previously sent for the exact same answer and course of action at and additional cost. That is price gouging at it's finest. I am clearly disappointed in the way the company handled my dilemma since it was partly an error on there part through there inability to electronically transmit the prescription effectively. As a first time user my experience with Teladoc is not favorable.

Oh my goodness I had the same exact experience today. This must be a scam by Teladoc just to charge its patients double. I refuse to pay for another visit when their system failed to send the prescription. That shouldn’t be an expense the customer incurs. This is Teladoc’s lack of accountability and integrity.

Teladoc Customer service, their responsibility taking

I scheduled an appointment clearly outlining the requested topic of discussion. I was approved for an appointment. The physician was 21 minutes late to the appointment. I clarified the topic to discuss exactly as outlined on my written request for an appointment. She said she does not talk about that medication even though it is a common medication and not a controlled substance. I stated that was the stated purpose of the call, the call should not have been approved if the physician could not address the request. They said they will not refund the 40 dollar charge because the appointment was made. No responsibility taking on the part of the company or physician

Teladoc Health care

Waste of money and time! It was 1am and out 9 month old son had a fever of 101.8. Went through the whole process blah blah blah then got told they don't treat babies. I clear as day had to register him before I could even get a call back of course and on top of that spoke to an actual person before hand and told her everything about the situation! Why in the hell would they take all of our information knowing they can not treat babies?! If the doctors aren't bad enough these days this just tops it off! All about money... They can care less about the person.
So while my baby boy has an earache (mother's know what's wrong with their baby) he got absolutely no help at all. Our er is an hour and a half away all offices are closed and I get fooled by some scamming company. Needless to say this so called "doctors office" is [censored]

Teladoc Couldn't help me still charged fee

They didn't even try to help me - their service says 'including dermatologists' but when I sent picture I immediately got an email they can't do this by pictures I would have to go to my doctor - no video cal nothing - but of course charged me the $75 immediately
Very disappointed and will give them bad review here at my company.
If they can't judge skin issues by pictures or video they should say so before I submit payment.

Teladoc Health care providers rude and dismissive

The doctor I spoke with today via teladoc was rude, dismissive, and spoke to me as if I was a child. He refused to listen when I tried three times to tell him my medical history of chronic headaches and suspected migraines and also ignored me when I repeatedly told him that the only reason I opted for teladoc was because my town only has one walk-in clinic with a 4-hour wait to be seen. He suggested I see me primary care physician instead - merely a 3-week wait - or go to the emergency room - a $2000 bill. He also offered to prescribe me ibuprofen, which i'd told him did not work for me. He then said, "good luck," and hung up on me.

I want a refund of my $40 bill. I will never use this service again, and I will tell everyone I know how awful my experience was.
