Ted's Sheds / Money scam

My problem is not so much with the vendor, but with the
head office that wont refund me a check for the amount of 770.35$. I
thought I purchased a shed back in mid February. The 13th to be
exact. I gave 50% down as requested. Before signing anything, the
vendor came out to my house to make sure that the shed could be put
in my back yard without the use of a crane. He measured the fence,
told me that i would need to take the fence down and made sure that
the distance between the entrance of the yard and the spot where I
wanted the shed was less than 25 feet so his guys could roll the shed
back in my yard. I made it clear that I did not want the shed if the
use of a crane was necessary. It was already way more money than I
had planned on putting on a shed. I signed the contract, wrote him a
check on the 14th and just had to wait for the shed to be delivered
in the following days. Well, on the 15th he called me, came back out
to the house and re-measured stating that I would have to take one of
my tree out and wrap another one with some rope to get its branches
out of the way of the trailer. I spoke with a nursery and they
assured me that the tree would not survive if de-planted and re-
planted again. I told the vendor to just drop the whole deal, that
it just wouldn't work out. He agreed, apologized and told me that I
would get my money back in 6-8 weeks. I was shocked. I had written
him a check for almost 800$ less than 24 hours before and now it
would take him 2 months to give me my money back!!! I drove to the
office and got a piece of paper that stated that I had requested a
refund and waited. I waited, and waited and waited. I kept in touch
with the vendor and with the "refund person" in the head office. I
spoke with her once. I called her many times asking for a return
phone call, but actually spoke with her only one time. She told me
that it can take up to 90 days for a refund and that the girl that
does the refund just came back from vacation so to give her 2 weeks
more. She said that she would put a "rush on it" . I gave her a
follow up phone call last Monday as she had advised me to do so, but
never returned my call. I called again today and never heard from
her. I tried to get transferred to her supervisor, waited on hold
for a while and was told that she would call me back before 3:30pm
today. I didn't hold my breath and good thing for that. I don't
know what to do anymore. I need that money back. I gave them money
and got NOTHING in return. This is my money that i worked hard for
and they are just using it. I offered to drive to the head office
and pick it up just days after the check was written, but they denied
the need for me to do so. Can anyone help me get that money back.

    Hi Beatrice, I own Teds Sheds of Colorado. Just to clarify this complaint is against Teds sheds of Florida. There is no affiliation between us two.
