Tarte broken shadows

I purchased eyeshadows and got a defective box. The shadows were broken as well. I am sure I have nothing to do with this. Maybe it was the delivery service fault or Tarte is the one to blame... However, when I called their customer service they said there's nothing they could do, their policies don't allow them to exchange to resend product for personal use. Great. But there may be different cases. For example mine. I haven't even unpacked the shadow. It's clearly seen they are broken without opening the box. But no, everything is the same for them.
Disappointed.

Tarte buyer beware, bait-and-switch tactics used!

I am posting this review everywhere I can find because people need to know when companies use deceptive sales tactics!

I am so upset with this company! The way they did their birthday beauty deals was absolute bait-and-switch. My item (clay play sculpting palette) went oos as i tried to order...hours later it's back in stock, but now at the full price of $46, instead of $18. They should have disclosed that they were only willing to sell a certain number at that price. It worked on me initially as i did place an order anyway. When I saw the price change back to $46 and immediately was back in stock i knew what they did, so i called this morning. I wanted to see if it could be added to my order at the discount price (that i should have been able to order in the first place) ...was told sorry, no. Really? Why? I called back right away and said, "you know what, just cancel the order", which they were totally cool with, like yeah, whatever, don't care is the tone. They would rather lose my order and all future business over a discount palette that I should have been able to purchase? Stories like mine are all over social media. This was my very first and last order with tarte. I really did want to get the other items i ordered, but if that's how they treat people, heck no! There are too many alternatives that will go out of their way to make customers happy- folks, this is not one of them I promise you! Bye tarte, our affair was short and not so sweet ?

Tarte tart eye palette

Dear Tarte,
I would like to first start off by saying I love and have a lot of your products, especially the eye palettes and recently the tartiest mascara.
However, I recently bought the tarte tartelette matte palette. I was so incredibly disappointed to find that the black colour has seemed to crack and bit has crumbled out, (as you can see by the picture)-I only had the palette for 1 week-it is even still kept in the box. Now the black colour is becoming very annoying as the powder is mixing with the lighter colours. This was very disappointing as I've used another of your palettes for months now and none of the colours have cracked or crumbled. (See picture below)
I actually bought two eye palettes as my friend always comments on my eye make-up, so I bought one for her 40th birthday, hopefully this doesn't happen again 😞
As you can appreciate I have spent a lot of money and was shocked that this has happened.
I am happy to ship the palette back for a replacement as I can't even bring the palette with my as the black powder gets everywhere!

Tarte order status

I have ordered some stuff but in a day or two they are asking to change password ans asking to provide email to send the link i have send like hundreds of mailss and then no msg while i am mailing them on there website they asking will respond but there is no respond wht the hell is happening with u people i want to know when my order will arrive i have been waiting for it since sooo long my order number is TG242724919 msg me soon send my parcel ASAP

Tarte taking money for no products 😡

Ordered and it came back as declined and the screen said try again, went again and decline again, checked my bank and both transactions had been taken out but no order was processed online. 2 months again I placed an order for $285 and I was triple charged nearly $900, it's just not good enough, they must think people have endless supplies of cash in their accounts, had to wait for 3 weeks to get it back. With today's order it wasn't even finalized, no confirmation email and I was charged twice 😡

The exact same thing just happened to me. I tried to order products for $57, but the order was declined so I tried again. I am now missing $114 from my bank, but no order had been processed.

Tarte charged for a non purchase

I tried to place an order online from Ireland with tartecosmetics.com and the I was charged twice with no order confirmation. instead the website returned to tell me my card was declined even though I knew there were funds in my account. I tried the same purchase again and it returned again with my card declined with no order confirmation. I checked with my bank and I was indeed charged twice. I have the authorisation codes for each transaction and have contacted tarte cosmetics through their online inquiry form. I have noticed that this has happened to another person in Australia account name kaitw posted on the 03/07/2017 with the exact same problem. It is worrisome, is there a problem with international transactions or what is going on with this company? I also can provide proof of the above transactions through my bank.

Tarte warranty

I purchased a Tarte eye lash curler and the spring broke. I contacted Tarte to see if they would stand behind their product, I was told they only would if I purchased it through their website. I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was told that they were ALL on other calls...REALLY? I will NEVER use their products again. Very unhappy with the lack of customer service. They are the manufacturer!

Tarte charged for a non purchase

I tried purchasing 4 things in total $111
My card said declined and error, even though I have sufficient funds I tried again and the same thing happened.. I have proof of all the translations
$222 was taken out of my account.. I would like to be refunded and have my order sent to me please..
I never received a conformation email either but two lots of $111 were taken out of my account
Happy to take this further as I have evidence of all of this and bank statements. Needing to get in contact with someone asap

Tarte tarte bad customer service

I tried purchasing products from your website on 2/7/2017. However, each time I clicked confirmation of my order, my order was not successful and I was redirected to the page which says that my credit card has been declined and "server unavailable cc total :81". After trying thrice, i gave up and checked my bank account and a total of $243 was deducted! The total for each order was $81 and for each time I tried ordering, money was deducted!

I should have trusted the comments regarding Tarte's bad customer service. Never going to purchase from the website. EVER. My hard earned money just went down the drain.

Tarte customer service via tarte.com email

Received yet another purchase from them but this time my deluxe samples promised were listed but not included. I wrote with the order # titled and asked them what to do and the pump on my cleanser was broken. I wanted these items for my travel bag and I was fine with the broken pump. When answer finally came they wanted pictures of everything i.e., box label packaging products and stuff I didn't really recueve haha then I received a email shortly after stating so sorry nothing they can do. Well I've returned that shipment and I'm getting ready to returned all other bought since may 3rd and there was a lot I'm boycotting this brand from my personal use myvrdcommindations and my use on clients

Tarte Not received my order 😳😳😳

Ordered 4 mascaras on 2nd of May at 15.49.18 got email to say you taken the money for it £14.90, not received Order or confirmation of order, this is 5th time of contacting you with no reply, customer service is quite shocking to say the least, please could someone contact me to let me know what the heck is going on, for such a big company your treatment of your customers is appalling, this is my first time ordering from you and it's a nightmare, hopefully there can be a good resolution to this bad experience Carla Davies

Tarte Worst customer service

My mum had ordered me 3 palettes as a gift during the 'friends and family' sale for my birthday, the order came a couple days late, which is fine it had to be shipped to Australia so that didn't bother me too much.
But then when it finally arrived there happened to be one palette missing, now she only paid $25 because they had an offer that popped up at the checkout to get the palette at that price.
So she emailed with her order number saying that the product is missing even though it written on the packing slip. They replied saying that they can't replace cause it's international. And automatically refunded her without her saying that's what she wanted.
I then posted on Facebook explaining my frustration and they gave me a different email. So I explained my frustrations again saying that we didn't want a refund we wanted the product we paid for. It's really disappointing that such a large company cannot compensate for their mistakes when majority of overseas cosmetics company's would just resend you the product as it was their mistake.
They replied saying we're so sorry but we can't resend at this time.
So I emailed back and have had no reply since, I love tarted brand but this seriously has put me off them. Especially from ordering from their online store.
I'd try and find a store like sephora to buy tarte products again, definitely am not using their website.
Seriously unimpressed

I ordered Tarte during the birth sale on Oct. 18 and I received my packaged on Oct. 24, two times were missing from the box, but the pacakaged slip says quantity ordered/shipped is 4 (pluse the free sample is, then it's 5. Pay $76.00 for all four items and only got two. They sitll owed me money. I email Tarte and I was asked to send a picture of the items I recieved and the package slip. I was like for real, This is seems like a scam, because It packaged slip literally typed 5 items and the box only has 2. They already knew what is what and try to faking proof me wrong. What the hell!

Tarte Very bad products caused allergic reaction

I bought some Tarte products and was disappointed with my purchase. I have a problematic skin and it's hard to find cosmetics which will not cause allergic reaction. I contacted Tarte and they assured me their cosmetics was 100% natural, so I decided to give it a try and made an order. It arrived pretty fast.
I tried some of their products and by the end of the day my skin was all red and itchy. That only proved that their products were nothing but garbage and that there was nothing natural.
I contacted Tarte and demanded a full refund, but they said that they can't accept anything back because I have already used some of the products! What a joke!

Tarte Tarte cosmetics

This is without a doubt the most appalling customer service experience I’ve ever had.

I have spent hundreds (possibly over a thousand) on Tarte products through Sephora, and I loved them up until recently, when I discovered white fuzzy mold on my lipsurgence lip tints. I contacted Tarte with the problem. They said they would replace them if I would ship them back to them at my own expense (I live abroad). So I did that, and heard nothing. When I contacted them they apologised and asked me to send my order for the replacements. I did so and they told me that they had sent it out. The order never arrived. When I wrote them back about it they withdrew into a dead silence. So I asked them to forward my complaint to their main PR person. That’s when I got the incredible message below:

“tarte LipSurgence™ lip tints are all formulated with natural pigments that have been milled down into fine particles to create the colors you see. Since they are sourced from the Earth, not all of the pigments are identical in size, so occasionally some will appear more visible on the tint once the formula has been completely mixed. This is totally normal and does not affect the use or results of the product. The white pigments used in the matte lip tints to soften the color and texture may be more noticeable than those in other shades, but once you apply the product the payoff will be normal as the pigments all blend together. “

So there you go, folks —according to tarte, should you notice any white fuzzy growth on your lipsticks, not to worry, it’s totally normal. Go ahead and slather that stuff on! (Irony alert).

I wrote back that they couldn't be serious and re-attached the photos of the mold, and stated that I expected them to honour their promise to replace the lip tints. Since then there has been another deafening silence.

Quite apart from the alarming health implications of ingesting mold, I have returned the lipsticks at my own expense, and have absolutely nothing to show for it. I used to be a huge tarte fan, but sadly not any more. I now wish that I had never bought any of their products.

Tarte Amazing products, really bad customer service

I love tarte cosmetics, I love their products and the fact that they are vegan and cruelty free but their customer service is terrible. Calls go to answering machine, shipping takes forever considering the fact that I am in the same state and it takes about a week for me to receive my orders. Refunds take weeks, exchanges also take weeks because their shipping is so slow and processing time and this and that. I also just got charged twice for my order and currently waiting for a reply. Their support team is absolutely terrible I have already started to look for other cruelty free cosmetic brands.

Tarte Scam!Wrong order arrived!

Do not use this company. I live in England and seen youtube videos that includes using tarte eye shadow. I ordered nearly £100 worth of product and only a primer came! Tried calling...no answer, I then press a key and I get transferred. I ask if this tarte..lady says who is calling. I tell her I am a customer in the hope she could transfer me to someone. She hung up! Don't respond to emails either. NEVER EVER AGAIN! ENGLAND FOR MAKEUP ONLY. THIS BRAND MIGHT BE OK IF YOU GET YOUR HANDS ON IT BUT SOME MUCH BETTER OUT THERE AND GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE! DON'T FALL FOR IT. SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM

Tarte Tracking number

I have purchased lip gloss from Tarte cosmetics and they immediately took my money. I did not get a tracking number and when I contacted customer service they claimed they already sent me one. Several days later I contacted them again and said that there was no sign of my tracking number. Their support seemed pretty surprised to hear that and promised to check what was going on. Next time I tried to contact them they did not reply. It is now over a month and still no tracking number and no order.

Tarte Damaged eye shadow palette

I've ordered many items from Tarte Cosmetics website and was really excited about my order. It arrived in a timely manner and everything seemed fine. But then I looked closer and saw that my eye shadow palette was damaged.
Only the palette was broken, everything else was ok.
I called Tarte customer service and explained the situation. They said that it was probably damaged during the shipment so there was nothing they could do. They said they'll give me a small discount on my next order. I don't think that I'll order anything from then again. The poorest customer service I have ever dealt with.

Tarte My order was lost and seller didn't return money back

I placed large order on the website www.tartecosmetics.com. It was horrible, ‘coz they charged me really fast and provided empty confirmation info. After that I waited and my order was lost somewhere. The seller didn’t provide any precise info and he didn’t return my money back. He refused to return money back, he sent my order and told to wait. But after a month still nothing. Scam, scam, scam. They are liars, scammers and thieves, so don’t deal with them.

My order should have come weeks ago as a Christmas gift to my sister and now that Christmas is past, I'm really pissed. No one answers the phone at customer service and I have already been charged! I have called several times and Fed Ex confirmed my product was never shipped! I have been robbed by these people!
