My story begins with getting a target credit card. The first month I was shopping with it a couple of times and was waiting for the bill to arrive. Well it never came. I got a letter saying I did not pay my bill on time and I am charged $25.00 in late fees. That time I thought I must have misplaced the bill, or my moving had to to something with it so I payed it off. A few months later i used my target credit card again. They had my new address so i was expecting my bill. It never came. Three months later I got a letter saying I am charged $25.00 in late fees. This time I called. I made a Complaint and the customer service representative reassured me that if I pay my bill via the phone he will remove the $25.00 late fee as a one time courtesy. I did that. He assured me that I will get a $0.00 balance bill in the mail. Well it never came. Three months later arrived another letter saying my balance is $25.00 and I am being charged $1.00 in late fees. So I called again. The customer service representative kindly offered to give me $12.00 credit on the $26.00 I allegedly owed them. That is when I asked for the supervisor whom I told I will not pay a dime for something I did not buy or I did not owe. They have already cheated me out of $25.00 once and that is not going to happen again. Of course I explained that the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General's office will be interested to hear about the business they continue. She assured me that the $26.00 dollars will be removed from my account and in 24hours I will have a zero balance. I also asked her to send me a zero balance bill in the mail so I will have written record of it. At this point I am waiting for that mail. After that I will close my account and will not shop at target ever again.

sonyvega: WOW you must be the single cleverest person in the world, who remembers every single item they bought, the exact price they paid for it and they name and address of the credit card company to send the check to...well I am just average...I did not remember the exact time I bought and when I thought the bill should have arrived I tried to get online...but when I got locked out for allegedly not remembering my password for the third time I decided to wait for the bill...NOT TO MENTION the bills containing the late fees found me every time..ISN'T THAT THE STRANGEST THING?! the first bills don't and the late fee ones do get to me through the mail?

I just received a demand notice from a collection agency for 50.34 for a target bill i never received from over a year ago. Never contacted me to tell me this 19.34 bill was unpaid. I have no idea it even existed. I received target coupons in the mail today. Funny somehow they managed to get through. Trying to find out what they are trying to bill me for is beyond aggravating. Doing business with a company that engages in deceptive practices with poorly trained staff is sooo not worth it. Cancel your Target card, better yet, do not get one in the first place. Save yourself, it's too late for me, I've already been bitten by the Target Scammer Bug - deadly and soo very annoying.

This happened to me a couple of years ago as I posted in 2014 and I have not bought anything from Target since then. I went on their website and wrote a comment about this. They said they would stop mailing me but they have not. I tell everyone I know how awful they are to their customers. I know my not shopping at target will not hurt them. But it is based on principle. And I am totally dismayed they are still doing this.

Same thing. No bill, late fees, no adjustments... Standing on principle, I did not pay for six months. But this has ruined my perfect credit. I offered to pay in full if they would take off the late statements to the credit bureaus. No. They refused. They finally said they would take $121.00. When I called back, they raised it to $151.00. I paid. They were supposed to take the settlement payment and close the account. They did not close the account. I am waiting for the new late fee on the remaining balance of the settlement. The statement said I still owed the balance. Now why wouldn't a company take the offer. I offered to pay in full if they would simply notify the credit companies. Never EVER CHARGE AT TARGET... I won't even shop there.

I just had a 2 month late fee because I didn't get my e bills. Not only would they not remove the 70.00 (35.00/month) late fees they reported me to the credit bureau. I cancelled the card and paid the bill in full. But it's not over yet. I still am trying to get some sort of resolution. They sent my collection letter to me on email. I almost didn't open it because of all the current problems they are experiencing. But they wash their hands of all of it. So, I am done with Target.

The exact thing happened to me over the weekend but I was hit with a $65.00 charge because I didn't pay my bill for 2 months. The only amount they would take off was the one month of interest of $25.00. I had to give them a check # and an additional $40.00 because of a bill I never recieved either... What a scam... I will never shop at TARGET again.

Well sounds like the issues with not getting bills is common. We have had the same experience. I cannot understand how my other Credit Card accounts can RELIABLY get me a bill but Target cannot. I am now in a tussle with my wife over cancelling the card. In the end we will. The bad thing is we both like to shop at target, but the hassle on the billing trumps the shopping expereience. GOOD BY TARGET!

I had to make the same decision. Target finally came to town. We were so excited. We are a very small town with SLO growth. So when I didn't receive the bill, only the bill with the late fees, and couldn't get them to acknowledge, I did cancel the card. I tried to cancel it and not pay the late fees but they said that every month I don't pay the late fees, they add another late fee, even on a closed account, so I paid their phony fee and closed their card, never to shop at Target again.

Target store uses scam collectors, such as Patenaude & Felix law firm. They will go to the sheriff, use any means to collect. Very high rates. Target will use the worst collectors.
