We're pretty sure that if Target showed up wayyyy more often on ComplaintsBoard and paid more attention to reviews and complaints, it would lead to better results. But for now, the resolution rate doesn't show successful interaction with customers. We advise reviewers to be careful when communicating with Target and be ready for the chance your problem might not get a response. It's also good to start looking for other solutions if your issues aren't fixed as you want.

Target wrong amount of payment processed

I made an on line purchase. I had a giftard and debit card to use. I entered the giftcard info and then debit. All of the money was taken off of my debit card. I called a representative to correct the transaction. He canceled the previous sale and re-entered it correctly taking it off of my giftcard first and remaining off of my debit. I checked my bank account and he still did not use the giftcard! Made me angry because he was adamant that the prob was fixed. The new rep said you can just use the giftcard on line or in the store but that wasnt the point. I was using the card for that transaction!

Target customer service return/exchange xbox one kinect

I'm complaining about employees at a target branch and the horrible customer service given concerning an exchange. I recently purchased Xbox one Kinect from my local target however upon opening and trying to connect the Kinect, I realize the Kinect that was supposedly Xbox one model was actually a 360 model. So, I head out to target branch in Paramus, NJ. ( I was at a mall in Paramus with a target) I was told I would have to go to the specific store I bought the item. Okay, fair enough. I get to the branch I bought the product and go to guest service. I explained to the associate what I have in hand and requested an exchange. I wasn't requesting a refund, I simply want the product I paid for. I have Xbox one x and the 360 Kinect is useless to me. Long story short, the store turned me away and refused to give me an exchange. Nothing at all, no credit, no refund. An associate named Angel was the person I was speaking to. They claimed they looked up security cameras and record of product. They claimed they know the product was sealed and that it was not a return and resold item. I was pretty much being accused of being fraudulent . I asked for a manager and waited for 25 minutes without any manager coming to help resolve the matter in hand. Angel called for security instead. Poor customer service. Terrible! I was told I need to call Xbox and get and exchange from them. I didn't buy the product at a Microsoft or Xbox store, I bought it from target. They should at least give the customer the courtesy of helping get the product I paid them for but all I got was, well we can't do anything about it. Its xbox's Fault.

Did you change ownership of your account? Your original complaint was fairly grammatically correct, but your comments have devolved into a lot of slang and poor grammar.

You obviously had a change of ownership. The first book you wrote was decent: you had correct syntax, the grammar was fair. OMFG, it's a completely different story when you got into the comments section. Either you hit your head, or you changed ownership of the account.

You did *technically* get what you paid for. You didn't get what you needed, per se. You did pay for a 360 Kinect and that's what you got. For high price items like that, you should always quadruple check that it's the right item before purchasing AND opening it. Target won't return open electronics as the website and/or receipt states.

I paid for an Xbox one kinect. Inside the box is a 360 model. So how am I getting what I paid for? The 360 model is of no use to me since I have the newest Xbox model.

Buy at your own risk when it comes to target pretty much. No way for a consumer to know what’s inside the box without opening the product

I got a better treatment from the first location I went to versus the target I bought it from. It’s obvious the box I got was a returned item. Pretty slim chance the manufacturer would end up packaging an old, scratched up 360 in a new Xbox one, I think. What a way to rip off a customer

I wouldn’t refer u to reread my complaint then if dats not what I said first. Wat u think Honestly has no bearing as to whether I get my issue with target resolved. Ur free to pass judgement but make sure u got the specifics right. The intent of my complaint is to share my experience and warn other consumers. It’s one thing for employees to uphold their company’s policies but to be rude and disrespectful to their customers, Oh dats a hell no.

If I understand the complaint correctly, they probably think you are the one who made the switch in order to scam them. Unfortunately they have to assume that the employees that accepted the return originally and made the sale to you did their jobs correctly. Most likely that is not visible on any videotape.

Yes exactly. Like I said in my complaint, I was pretty much accused of being fraudulent. Xbox one x is the newest system and the system alone costs $500. So I’m going to spend close to $1000 and try to scam them for a kinect?

Target cafe

Saw an incident at the Prince Georges Target in 3500 East-West Hwy #1200, Hyattsville, MD 20782 Hyattsville, MD at PG Mall today at the CAFE Stand at around 8:10 pm. While at Target, works walked back to the back room of the CAFE some couple of teenagers stole lots of food and Nothing was done about it. Works at target did not even realized food was missing from the Pizza hut stand or from any of the displays. I think there should be way more security and also they should have security cameras and security workers looking at these type of activities. That is why this target is very bad because this location permits those kinds of crime. Target will be losing a lot of money if this continues to happen. I think this location should be closed because stealing is happen more often then you think. See the security videos and see to it that these criminals will not do it again. These kids seem like they been stealing from target for a while because they know no security is doing nothing to stop them.

Unless you are an employee of this Target or have somehow been personally victimized by the theft issues, it really isn't any of your concern. At most what you can do is tell an employee if you see something happening while you are present. There are limitations when it comes to confronting thieves and the store may not have the financial resources to hire more security.

"These kids seem like they been stealing from target for a while"
I hope you personally have physical proof or evidence of this claim that you are making.

Target online ordering issue

11/27/2017- I went to order an amazon fire 8 32GB tablet in pink because it was such a great deal at 89.99 plus 15% off!The deal ended at 11:59pm I spent the evening trying to order it online and kept getting that it was unavailable within 100 miles. So I tried the blue case one and it said adding to cart...YAY!.. then, on the side, it popped up that it was out of stock. Today, 11/28/2017, they have them again... the gal I chatted with just said that they sell out quickly and get them in quickly is all. Was the online ordering working? Do you know if there will be deals after Christmas on them or is there any way to resolve the issue with the ordering online. I love shopping at target and get all my diapers there as well.
Thanks for any way you can help me.
Thanks!

Target bose soundlink color ii

Good morning. I paid full price for the product listed above yesterday at the Nicollet Mall Target store. When I opened the product, it was clear that it was purchased by someone else and then returned to the store, for whatever reason. Thus, a used product was being sold as if it was new. The speaker itself was dirty, and based on my use of the Bose Connect app, I could determine that it had been linked to two other idividuals iPhones. I was able to clean the product and clear out the other individuals bluetooth connections; the product seemingly works fine. However, I do not like the fact that I paid full price ($140.42) for a used product. Expect less. Pay more.

Target holiday spend 75 get 25 off

I came in to target b/c of your advertising of the deal on buying holiday items. Spend 75 and get 25 off. I had $82 worth of lights, wreath box and wrapping paper. When i got up to the register the discount didn't happen. Both the cashier and I were surprised. A manager came over and quite rudely explained that it is Wondershop items only. I had looked online and at a sign in the store. I was not under the impression from your marketing that was the case. The sign in the store said it did not include Google home items and a few other brands, food, candy, etc which said to me that it did include other brands. It wasn't until my unfortunate saga at the register that we realized my Philips brand Christmas lights didn't count. I was very upset. I found in some small print online that it said select Wondershop items only. Wow, this is really misleading advertising in multiple places. Not only did I walk away disappointed yesterday, I felt deceived. I have been a longtime Target customer and Redcard holder and will continue to be, but I would appreciate it if you were more careful in how you advertise your deals. I know Target is not about misleading customers. Please deeply consider this going forward. Thank you!

Target xbox game

Target refused to honor the return policy set forth in Texas Law. Target company return policy violates Texas law by preventing opened console/computer games from being returned. Texas law states consumers have the right to return anything within 14 days. The packaging was deceptive by not clearly stating it was not a complete game and target would not return or exchange the item. Told me to sell it on e-bay. They need to honor the law and at least give me store credit.

Target security

I went shopping with my friends at target. The security guard named Jess decided to follow us around the store. As we approached the register she was stand at the exit door. Mind you she did not check anyone else receipt at the door. As soon as we approached the door she asked my friends and I for our receipts when she clearly saw all our items was paid for and all the paid items was bagged. I do not appreciate being targeted at the store. I feel highly disrespected.

Target red cards, shopping cart, customer service

First your red cards are faulty. I gave up trying to use mine, when it started denying my purchases I called customer service who insisted I moved and didn't give them my new address. I did NOT move but customer service argued with me and said I did. Now you went ahead and screwed up shopping cart and I cannot use it because you guys say I have a open account. Which I do NOT! SO NOW THAT YOU MESSED THAT ALL UP AND I CANNOT GET ON THE SITE I WILL GO AHEAD AND SHOP SOMEWHERE WHERE THEY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING!

Target credit card

I have not been able to access my target account at all since April. My card was paid off in fact I made a double payment so I should have a credit.

Target will not remove fraud charges and each month they send me statements adding more charges which is creating huge sum of money due in fact they added different charges which made the card have a higher balance than it did when this fraud first startd back in April.

I have talked to so many people that claim they are "supervisors" but then they end up saying I have to talk to Julie-who was nasty to me, the one and only time she was available. I have called so many times and no one will do anything.
This headache has been going on since March and the hours and hours of time and I can't get anyone to help! I got 1 letter saying they removed the charges but then they added different charges that were removed in the beginning that were fraud and still leave me with charges I shouldn't have. I want as many people to know about targets red card so they don't live this 6month nightmare! I don't know what to do and everyone I talk to is so mean and says I have to pay.

Target shelf tag mistake, price listed off by $10

Today (10/28/17), I purchased a set of 400pc heavy duty rainbow Christmas lights. The shelf tag claimed these lights were $19.99. I made sure the lights were in the spot matching up to the shelf tag and made sure they were the same ones before choosing them. However, when I purchased them, they were read as $10 more that the shelf tag claimed, plus nearly $2 in tax, making them $31.80 instead of $19.99, plus tax, like I thought they would be.. This altered my purchase plans with having only $49 on hand. I ended up having to return some pencils I planned on purchasing, for I am a full-time illustrator. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, I would like to let you know of this tag mistake.

Thank you,
-Anonymous Customer

Target 5 oz whoppers box

I purchased a box of Whoppers last week. After I'd opened it and eaten one, I noticed the expiration date had already passed - 7/2017. I'm upset that I wasted my money on this product. How could these be put out with the rest of the candy? I'd appreciate some type of compensation. Even a "sorry" would work. I am very hurt. I think products should be checked more thoroughly before being put out on the shelves. If a box of candy was held off long enough to expire, what else could be getting customers sick? "Expect more, paid less"? Yeah, that's right. I definitely expected more.

The other day I washed my water bottle, on the top rack in the dishwasher like instructed.

The straw melted to the water bottle and is now unusable.

This occurred on 10/23/17.

If possible I would like a replacement, I have not owned the water bottle for very long and I followed the washing instructions exactly. Up until this point I was very happy with the product, I have owned Contigo water bottles in the past and loved them. Very disappointed.

Target return policy

I purchased an audio cord at Target about 40 days ago. I got home and through the clear package I could see one of the ends was larger than I needed. The next day I was at Walmart and found a different cord, so I took it home to try with the same results. I tried to return the cord at Target last night, only to learn that I couldn't because the audio cord is considered an electronic and should be returned within 30 days. I went on to Walmart who returned theirs with no problem. I contacted Target customer support who told me they were sorry that happened and would happily let the next level know of my experience. I get that more costly electronics have a 30 day return policy but never dreamed a $14 cord would. Now I know. Don't buy anything close to electronic at Target.

Target hostess

Today 10/21/17 I purchased a a box of Ho-Hos from a Target store in Sandy Springs Ga. As I bite into the Ho-Ho it was hard as a rock. Now I'm not exaggerating! So after I bit it I begin to smell something absolutely atrocious. It was the Ho-Ho! Immediately I look at the date on the box and it has a "Use By Best Date April 15, 2016. 2016! Really! 2016! It has been exactly 1 year, 6 months and, 7 days since this should of been ate. This is just laziness, disgusting. Critical, hazardous and just plain nasty. Especially this time of year is Halloween and kids could digest this. Just trash! I want my $$ back plus redress for the whole experience . I have pics and receipt.
