On the 6th February 2024, I have paid 103 GBP to have my CV re written. I waited for a week, then when I received it I was in complete shock ! It was a disaster...it did not higlight my experiences and some of them where put in the wrong order. I immediately realise that this was done by AI. I contacted TopCV immediately and expressed my disapppointement...

Talent Worldwide / TopCV Cv services

I paid for premium service .. the cv was poorly written I had to re write it myself. Then they took a further £80 from my account ...no service . No managers. No response to emails ..I will facilitate a charge back for the monies but that's not the point.

These people masquerade as a levitate business but they are con artists and ahoikd not be used.

Desired outcome: They can apologise. Refund me and Co penstemon me for the stress this had caused me

Talent Worldwide / TopCV Premium package - cv/cover letter

I paid £129 to TopCV for the service on 9-Sep 2022.

I feel very frustrated and disappointed with a very unpleasant journey of very poor service quality and experience with TopCV since that date of my order placed and how they have been handling and following up my case. TopCV broke their promise repeatedly and never delivered with satisfaction that demonstratd TopCV is not reliable that TopCV is unprofessional and helpless at all.

TopCV's deliverables and service do not match from what was advertised and promised:

- I got my 1st draft only on 16-Sep yet it is very very disappointed. Bad writer is matched who demonstrated no knowledge of my industry, many key information missing or wrongly rewritten as well as important industry recognized certifications removed.

The writer did not follow what I have provided with the questionnaire!

I provided feedback on the same day that I have been collaborative and communicative with timely and sufficient feedbacks provided but not same from the writer side.

- No and delay of response (revised version of both Resume and Cover Letter and response should come within 24 hours yet it took 84 hours (at 19-Sep 23:03 my local time! ) for me to get the revised Resume only after me had sent multiple chasers to TopCV's CS, same happens for the Cover Letter!

Though the same writer returned the 2nd draft however it did not address the feedbacks that I provided. The writer completed ignored my feedback and insisted his own writing! It shows the writer does not want work in a collaborative and communicative manner. It just wasted my time, effort and kindness to provide feedback and highlights hoping the writer could do a better job for me.

- TOPCV promised to match another writer who would come up another 1st draft on 21-Sep with a rush-order BUT it has never never happened. Then,

I got their email on 22-Sep told me that they just had assigned my order to another writer.

I had given TopCV the second chance already to prove they are professional and will deliver quality resume writing service though after the unhappy experience with the prior writer. Unfortunately TopCV failed and keeps disappointing and making me feel so frustrating. I am reluctant to give a 3rd chance to TopCV as they showed to me that they are all unprofessional. I don't believe it will work out!

Desired outcome: Requesting for a 100% refund of the £129 paid as I received nothing useful nor professional piece of deliverables after almost a month from my order placed.

Talent Worldwide / TopCV CV

Paid for CV and LinkedIn profile and after receiving a shoddy CV, complained and demaded a refund which was refused and instead was reassingned and the next person wasnt much better - I provided copies of my CV to provide examples of the style and format and contnet I was seeking which was by this stage, writing my own CV ! TopCV refused a refund although no delivery and I cannot imagine a worse service!

Talent Worldwide / TopCV Premium Plus Package - CV/cover letter/LinkedIn profile

I paid £149 for a Premium Plus package on 7th January 2021 expecting that I indeed will be provided with a premium service. Whilst according to TopCV, we have a 7-day window to work with the writer to have the process completed, on 31st January I am still waiting for the writer's and also the TopCV support team's response to my emails.

After receiving the first draft it was obvious to me that the writer had zero industry specific knowledge and the document provided was a poor quality, despite them stating that they "provide a CV writer expert for your industry and who is qualified in showcasing your accomplishments'. It was even not in line with their own recommendations.

I contacted their support team and requested the writer to be changed but I was told to provide feedback and wait for another draft. I struggled through two revisions with the writer and wasted many hours on trying to improve her work. Also, when I noted to her that she should improve the language on certain points, she just simply deleted them from my CV instead, accepted my suggestions and sent the same document back to me. Her response time was 4 days for one round of communication, which was using up more than half of the 7 days allotted by TopCV for the whole process. I again requested the writer to be changed but only received a response from the support team after following up with them 2 days later.

The second writer's response time was again 4 days for just one round of communication out of the allotted 7 days by TopCV. When he responded to me after 4 days, he even urged me to respond ASAP as we only had 2 days left to complete more than the second half of the process. After me raising with him that it was unfair from him using up 4 days for one response out of the 7 days and rushing me to respond and complete the rest of the process in 2 days, he extended the deadline with 2 days. Today we have already passed the extended deadline as well, as it has been another 4 days since I am waiting for his response - delaying the process even further. Whenever I followed up with him or asked him when to expect to hear back from him, his response was that he will respond to me when he can. My response time to both writers was between 3-24 hrs, so all the delays was on TopCV's / writer's side.
TopCV recommends to collaborate with the writer to achieve best results. However, when I tried to get the writer's feedback on my suggestions or asked for clarification on his work he kept copy-pasting the same template instead of answering my questions, so I eventually had to give up on that. He also just accepted the changes I recommended and sent the same document back to me.

I also called and emailed the TopCV support team for help multiple times during the process (Ashley, Darren, Nikki, Amanda), but by the time they responded I already struggled through the issues with the writers myself and all they did was just apologised for the problems and delays instead of taking the necessary steps to improve the process going forward.

I invested my money and trust in TopCV but I ended up wasting lots of money, time and energy working with them instead of getting professionally written documents that they promised. Not to mention all the job opportunities that I lost out on during this time. 24 days further down the line I still don't have satisfactorily written documents and LinkedIn profile which I paid for.

Desired outcome: A full refund is a minimum that would partially compensate me for the money, time and energy that I wasted working with TopCV along with all the lost opportunities and the stress I have been going through with them.

24th November 2020- Poorly crafted, low quality and writers unable to understand what's required in terms of an effective CV. They don't keep promises, have low skill writers with zero industry specific knowledge despite mentioning this in their Marketing hype

Their so called guarantee is meaningless. They offered to change the writer to more senior individual. Low and behold the same poor quality writer contacted provide the same poor quality previous writer writer was put in contact with me. Can you imagine how incompetent this appears to customers? I'm beyond incensed with their lack of consistency with customer care. Their writers can't string an effective English sentence together and have zero expertise in my given industry - this truly is equivalent to misrepresentation!

A full refund is a minimum to enable me to get on with life and move on from this negative experience. A never ending spiral of emails from support namely Rick S, Nolan, Monique, Amanda, Nikki and Simone adds further to the negative experience. The writer at a guess is from India and is incapable of writing an exec level document. Something that I have already paid for. Zero LinkedIn makeover carried out also which has been paid for. A note to the CEO Jeff Berger? Guess what zero response... must be great to take peoples money without a care in the world.

Talent Worldwide / TopCV Resume writing service

The resume writer copy-pasted from my previous resume and presented me with a document which is not much different from what I had. I had provided all the details and list of achievements to be included in the resume. However despite reminders, the language used is plain and simple and not any different from my previous resume. I had to significantly edit the work being submitted to me. As such, I cannot use the substandard resume provided

Talent Worldwide / TopCV Executive service

This company took my money on the basis that I would be allocated a highly experienced professional CV writer. However the person I was allocated (Markus) was incapable of forming basic English sentences competently. The company has refused to give me a full refund despite being in breach if their own terms of service. I pointed out to them the letter of the law which states that they must refund me and they ignored my request. I was misled by hundreds of (what must be fake) reviews praising the service. These people are committing fraud.

Talent Worldwide / TopCV cv, cover letter, and linkedin profile

I paid £219 for the service to get my CV, cover letter, and LinkedIn profile created/polished by the executive writer.
I received the first draft today and almost fainted — the English language the writer used was not British English, the vocabulary, the grammar, the punctuation, the spelling, none of them is British English. English is not my first language, that was the reason I wished to get some professional help, how bad it has to be for a English as second language speaker to sense instantly that the writer is not British? Don't even mention the content of the cover letter — "I am accustomed to the rigors of..." — I have never heard of such use of odd expression in the UK.
I therefore wrote to the writer asking where this person is based, the answer was — Canada. I have no proof whether this person is telling me the truth or not, but I am so upset and angry about the time and money I wasted on this.
According to Topcv — "Our CV writers with expert knowledge of your industry are qualified in showcasing your accomplishments by using the same terminology, that hiring managers look for in your field...", the writer told me he is a CV writer, but my career industry is not in CV writing, so how could the writer know anything about my industry and tailor my CV to fit for the purpose?

I demand my money back! And for sure I will write my honest review for topcv.

Talent Worldwide / TopCV executive priority package

I had a cv "review" by this company and they came back with some very good feedback so I purchased the top package they offered to update my CV. Payment was in 4x installments of 99GBP. The product turnaround time was quick after I provided my information, however upon receipt of the cv, it was so much worse than my original cv, nothing as advertised in their sales pitch. It was generic, plain template with generic wordings it similar to a CV downloaded from an online website. It did not stand out at all and wouldn't to any recruiter. The CV did not sell me, represent my personality and skills and experience, and shows the writer had no understanding of my industry at all. After going back and forth we several times asking for a partial refund as I had zero confidence that they could improve it to the standard expected of an executive cv and for that price, I was trying to reason with them to go down to the lowest package as they did deliver something, I was eventually threatened with collections. So I had to pay to not affect my credit score. Few months later and I still have not received a refund or the product I ordered.

[Update] End result - lost a lot of money, did not receive the product I paid for.
This case is not resolved1! I did call them, and no one called me back, instead I received a rude and threatening final email from them. Absolute scam.

Talent Worldwide / TopCV cv & letter drafts

I feel absolutely furious. I read what seemed to be a lot of positive feedback about this company so I paid £129. I just wanted my CV to have a little more edge and have a modern makeover.

What I received back is appalling and full of incorrect statements and bad grammar! It's obviously been written by an inexperienced foreign hand. My old CV was much better and has secured me many interviews and job offers. I would be embarrassed to send off the newly composed CV or letter! Both documents are utter garbage and I am not prepared to waste my time correcting this poorly written nonsense. TopCV has not provided what was promised and I want my money back, just like countless other individuals who feel equally cheated! I'm trying to get a refund through Paypal as surely I've got some consumer rights?

Talent Worldwide / TopCV professional resume

Unknowingly I happen to choose the their service and I lost $189 and I immediately mailed them to repay my amount as it was done by mistake.

Since I don't want to avail their service, they should repay me.They can take some penalty charge if they wish, since a mistake was happened from my part.

But they are not replying to my mails reminders.

Kindly do needful.

How should I go forward to get my justice.

They are crooks and they use different names. They are not genuine. They ignored my request to cancel. They should not have a licence to get away with fraud. They claim they have a no refund policy then how are they getting away with fake reviews as clearly they are not verified orders. Furthermore how can they get away with copy and pasting c.vs it's illegal it's wrong. They are fraudsters then need investigating.

These people use unscrupulous practices. My banker described them as fraudulent. Why don't you provide refunds when so many people are disappointed with your services? This is a telling sign.

I signed up for them to take 3 monthly payments. They took 2 weeks to assign someone. In the meantime they snuck into my account and took two payments.

Then, they sent an inferior CV with many errors. There was a five year gap in employment.

I advised my bank to stop payments. My bank refunded two payments. I just noticed a new deduction. I ran to my bank. The manager informed me they are hiring a skip tracer to sneak into people's accounts. My banker said, "They are setting up these 3 monthly payments as a subscription."

A professional company has no problem offering refunds. Why? Because, they know the quality of their work won't require refunds.

What about TopCV?

They operate as TopCv and TopResume.

Beware of TopCV in Europe.
Beware of TopResume in America.

By the way, I noticed all of those positive reviews written on TrustPilot for TopCv.

All of them were written on August 28th, 2018. That's very suspicious.

You crooks must have been busy writing all of those reviews that day.

Also, I reiterate this point. Professionals have no fear of providing refunds. Because, they know that their work will speak for itself.

Crooks, however, their main intention is to get the money. Then, to hold on to it at any cost. Crooks therefore, devise a crafty "digital content", "Terms of Service ", "no refund", policy. Because, they already have what they want. They want the working man and woman's hard earned money. Isn't that right TopCV / TopResume?

Yes, you are correct I did reach a point where I was fed up working with your company. Because, it had been close to a month, and your company still wasn't getting the job done.

So, I contacted another resume provider to complete the work. I received that resume within two weeks and it was done correctly the first time. I'm very satisfied with it.

I stand by what my banker said. TopCv / TopResume you're crooks!

Talent Worldwide / TopCV Don't trust them

If you want something to be perfectly done, never ask anything to do this for you. You better spend your precious time on doing it by yourself. You know why? Because other people care nothing about you and how you're going to use the CV in the future. That's why they make no effort and don't even try.
The CV I got from them was poorly done. Seriously. I don't understand what exactly I paid my money for. Does anyone check, control or monitor the editors? Why can they make spelling mistakes? My phone number is always available, I would be happy to explain if they misunderstood something. But who cares, right?
Don't trust stuff like this to people who don't know you in person and who actually care about money only.
