My 81-year-old mother was harassed into giving personal information to open a credit line at Ramon's Jewelers while walking in the Westfield Mall in Culver City. They persisted and she gave in. Now she has a $3500 bill with a threat of it growing to $11, 400 if the charge is not paid to Synchrony Bank.

Never late on a payment. Lowered my credit limit first then closed my lowes credit card account saying I'm a risk of not paying. I've never been late on any payments for any of my accounts.

I am beyond upset. Synchrony Bank closed multiple store credit cards on 10-18-23 in the amount of $53,000. All accounts were in good standing with 100% payments made on time. This is going to tank my credit score that I have worked incredibly hard for. I will never shop at TJMaxx, Belk, JcPenney, Lowe's again.

Nightmare to pay bill. Log-in data not recognized month after month, and I have screenshots to prove it. Hours waiting to pay by telephone. Incompetent AND arrogant. they radiate the attitude that you are privileged to be allowed to carry their card, as if there were no alternatives. The customer is always wrong.

They closed all my credit cards accounts without notice, and for no reason as I was always on time they did severe damage to my credit score they need to be held accountable for

Was notified that all of my accounts 2 with small balances, 2 others with no balance. All of a sudden I am high risk even though they were all current and no lapses of payments in past. If they did not want m business don't give out cards. They just ruined m credit I had been working hard to repair. I will never request another card from them.

I had three cards with them paying all my bills on time and they close two of them stating they periodically review accounts and because I don’t have real estate they are closing these accounts. Absurd!

I applied for an Amazon Store card and I keep getting charged with late fees and I don't know why. I have my account set up for autopay. All of my personal information on my account is up to date.

Payment made to PayPal Nov 18, 2022. Unfortunately one digit of the account number was incorrect. Proof of payment faxed six times to PayPal of the check endorsed by Synchrony. I'm sure you have a record of funds receipt and can help PayPal get their head out of the sand.

All of my Synchrony Bank credit cards were canceled without any notice to me. All of my accounts were paid in full every month, never late, and never carried a balance.

They closed every Account I have today 4/27/2023 over 59k. My score is excellent no changes. Said was change TRANS UNUION there is no change. 0 late payment. This is insane. All of my synchrony accounts was just out of nowhere closed. No reason. No notice

I don't recognize any ast due dealings with Stnchrony Bank. Once I had a bridge out in and Synchrony carried the 4k financing wgich was paid back in full even after the bridge started turning black.

In Aprill 2023, Synchrony tried to transfer funds from one of my external bank accounts when I never authorized them to do so. Then the kept trying to do it after I told them to stop. DO NOT allow Synchrony access to any of your external accounts.

I had several store cards from this egregious bank. I had some some accounts since the 1980s. They closed all accounts that were always pad on time and even on auto pay. I had no warning, calls or emails. It has caused so much mental anguish, embarrassment and humiliation.

Reduced my credit limit with no warning and with only good changes to my credit report and not one late payment.Ridiculous! Just received the ding to my credit report. This just happened today. How can they do this? I'm tempted to close all of these accounts. It's just ridiculous to get penalized for actually having good credit

Little trick they are pulling have 4 cards through them all in good standing, never late and recently got letters on 2 of them they are reducing my credit based on review. I noticed it was set to just above what I owe them. Then I noticed because of this they raised the interest rate. In the last week My credit has took a hard hit because of them.

My ABT card was cancelled for no reason 12/2022. My payments were always made on time. I had the card for over 15 years, since 2005. My credit fell because of a divorce but it never affected the card. I was a good customer.

I settled an acct in the amt of $1100, made consistent payments, called Oct 14th to make my pymt of $50 and your comp. would not accept my payment stating the account was sold.

Acct ending in 5140. I have the letter sent to me by Synchrony listing the scheduled dates and amts due, bank acct statements and conf #'s for pmts recvd by synchrony.

I have had 2 credit cards closed and my credit limits lowered on two synchrony bank account that were in good standing. Never late. Just received an email they were closed and/or reduced. This has lowered my credit score that I have been trying really hard to keep up at a decent rate. Can anything be done about this?

this bank gives you a credit card, allows you to pay it, then closes your accounts without notice and dont say way. please don't open an account with synchrony bank they are the worst.

Rewards points look good but:

Transfer is VERY difficult, limited

Statement does not allow you to see the detail

I am leaving, better cards are available, Citi Double Cash I can follow, makes sense, I can trust.

Never requested this. When I went to remove my name from their do not contact list, they wanted my SS number. Why would I provide that to a company that I never contacted in the first place. SCAM!

In August 2022, I paid my balnce of $9.46 to Amazon Store Card--Synchrony Bank; and I received a confirm#. But for some reason, he payment will not post. I paid again 9/30/22 $10.46. But it will not post. Now, Amazon Store Card-Synchrony Bank states I owe them $26.46. I closed the card and I will write a letter to the credit bureaus warning of what is going on.

Amazon Store Card-Synchrony Bank does not have a live customer service. So nothing gets resolved.

They closed my account that were in good standing. However when a bank close the account it looks bad on the credit report. I want them to just remove the items from my credit report. Also, when anyone agree to a credit application, that should be permission to run my credit ONE time. I did not give them permission to run my credit over the years.

I have excellent payment history on time in full for 9 months and they closed my account for "dishonored payments" WHAT!?! I called and long story short "nothing we can do" I'm also locked out of my care credit app !?!

These a**holes had the temerity to say they would log my credit status to the bureaus as "account paid in full but not full amount". This was after reporting them to the California State Attorney Generals Office on a fraudulent charge that appeared in my statement that Chase bank incidentally REVERSED immediately and told me they have issues with Synchrony. Now I see this forum and realize Synchrony has a whole litany of undesirable remarks on this and other sites (see PissedConsumer and BBB) Basically, Synchrony Bank (which used to be GE's finance arm) has an incredibly long and shady history when it comes bilking innocent customers out of millions just by slipping fraudulent charges in there and then puffing up a growing monthly, annual amount for the balance due with an exorbitant finance charge. Steer clear of these a**hole shysters who want nothing else than to separate you from your hard-earned $$$. Pay special attention to the "analysts" they have working in the "Consumer Relations" department. Nice the way they redirect and so pleasantly explain how wrong you are that a black mark will not be recorded on your credit report if the account status is closed and "Settled for less than full balance". Wrong! it should read, "PAID IN FULL" because it was THEIR fraudulent charge that credited a financial hardship for me in the first place.

Amazon Store Card customer service is polite but incompetent, inept and not helpful. I will cancel card ASAP and suggest that all should avoid this allegedly fraud prone card.

I also opened a credit account with this bank. I was a victim of fraud. The merchant that opened the account also charged the account 5800.00 for furniture i did not buy. The bank told me The merchant did not need my signature because by me letting him run my credit I also gave him permission to charge the account. After several months of requesting a copy of a signed invoice, I discover my name was forged to the invoice that was used to get funding from this bank. I filed a police report and the findings were a forgery did accure. I sent the police report to the fraud department. who ignored it and said I had to pay for the furniture. I am filing suit on this so called scamming bank.

I've had my Belk's credit card for over 5 years. I've never been late nor have I ever missed a payment. I received a letter in the mail from Synchrony Bank notifying me that they we closing my account! For no reason at all!

Synchrony Bank sucks big time . paying off for Living spaces furniture. pay on time send check out by the 3rd. payment due by the 12 th. they say it's late & charge late fees. this is an inside job. pay more than minimum & next statement shows that amount due plus new amount. they are rude and i hope someone replaces them. they will definitely leave you homeless.

I paid my card off in March 2019 and in May 2019 they charged my card again for the original charge of $500.00. Now it has late fees and is on my credit. What allows you to do these things to people. Why would I want to have a card with you if this how you do business?

This is what just happened to me! I tried to pay my balance in their store electronically. They said payment did not go through so please mail payment. So I mailed the same check to them for payment. While my check was enroute they somehow, two days later, processed my electronic payment that I was told hadn't gone through. Ok, so balance should be $0. But then they receive my check, same one they did electronically, and they run it. Naturally it is declined by the bank because they already paid that same check electronically. So what does Belk do? Instead of simply seeing the account is already paid in full, they put the charge back on the account and claim it was never paid! They now claim it was declined so I owe it. I have even sent them proof TWICE that I have paid it! They then say send us a copy of the canceled check. Well duh, they have the actual check! And their payment center does not send a copy of the check to our bank when it's paid electronically! So there is no copy to send them! But the amount has never been reversed, I paid it the first time. So frustrating!

MaxHomes used to install a shower; obtained credit from synchrony bank in January 2019.I received my first bill which included a $29 activation fee and fiance charges.I questioned this charge because it was not disclosed. I spoke with three CSR with no results. Margaret Keane, CEO Financial Credit Services is being contacted.Their CSR is horrible.

I have received 4 calls by 11am. No matter if I answer the phone it's a computer and have to wait for the next available person. Bull I am not going to sit there waiting.when I am disabled and cant keep my arm up that long. We closed our bank accounts so they cant get a payment over the phone, i have been a victim of fraud someone had completely emptied out all our money from checking and savings through a paypal. I don't even have an acct with paypal.. How can I make payments when I lost over $7, 000.

On 05/20/2016 I received in the mail information about a JCPenneyMasterCard Account Number Ending in: 8601 I do not own such a JCPenneyMasterCard ending in account number 8601.

If such a card exists I want it cancelled immediately.

I checked my credit... I have a perfect record and have no debts... and still the SYNCB denied an Amazon store card. SYNCB is the result of GE Capitol changing their name to Synchrony Bank (SYNCB). I guess they're just as bad with now with they're new name as they were when they were GE Capital
