Swissotel Nai Lert Park Bangkok / Very high telephone charges

1 TH Review updated:

Hi,

I recently stayed at Swissotel - Nai Lert park in Bangkok . During my stay i made a phone call to india from my room and they charged me TBHT 115 per minute which was about TBHT 460 for a 3 and a half minute call . I enquired in the local market and they told me it costs about 3-4 TBHT per minute to call to India if you would use a public phone or a local sim card. The hotel does not give me a satisfactory reply for such high rates . I felt cheated whn i was forced to pay.

Can any of you pls guide me how to go about registering a legal complaint in a consumer forum in Thailand ? Any other alternatives ?

Thanks

Generally, it's normal for business like...an UPSCALE HOTEL that their investment is multi-million dollar.
All OTHER UPSCALE HOTELS do charge extra service in exchange of guest's accommodations. Guests have option(s) to choose the hotel service or other service providers.
Besides, the guest can also ask about the rate of any service before making a decision to use it or not.

    Hope this helps.
