Swipebids.com scam

I visited the site just to check it out and wanted to view the page to see what it was about. I was asked for billing info and thought it was only necessary just in case I actually bid on something and won (maybe for payment, shipping and handling fees). I was billed $159 and I immediately did the online chat with a 'customer service rep' who tried to act like she didn't know what I was talking about. I explained that I wanted my money refunded because I had no intention of bidding on anything and that I only wanted to visit the page to see what it was about. She then stated that I would have to use the bids that the $159 purchased and if I didn't win a bid, I could request a refund by printing the form, completing it and mailing it back. This site is indeed a scam! Even when you try hard to get your money back they still come up with some kind of stupid reason that you have to do this or that in order to even request a refund. I don't have money to throw away and no one should be charged just for visiting a site to see what it's about. This site should be shut down and everyone's money should be refunded. When I looked at the winners listed it seemed that one individual was listed several times in a row and I find it a little hard to believe that one individual could win so many times in one day or over a course of two or three days which further leads me to believe that it is something screwy going on. The winner was probably someone at the company! Dirty DOGS...
The address is shown as being in Canada per info found out by others who have also been scammed by this company and the name attached is Jesse Willms. I never heard of him but apparently this is not the first time he has been involved in scamming people via the internet.

Good Morning RGreen,

My name is Jennifer, I am the Head of Customer Service for SwipeAuctions. I apologize if you were indeed told you needed to use your bids before you could receive the Money Back Guarantee as that is not how it works, all you need to do is complete the form entirely and send it in. There is no qualifying.

I assure you we have no bots or shill bidders, the members that win numerous items are the ones that follow our strategy. They build up their bids until you have enough to place on the higher priced items. For more information please visit the links below:

SwibeBids, SwipeAuctions, and Quibids, are all owned by exactly the same people.
Jesse Willms, an internet marketer/known scam artist is also behind these other sophisticated scams:
Acai Advanced Cleanse.
Acai Berry.
Some products carrying the label "AcaiBurn" and many, many others.
And some "Easy Google Profit Biz Kit scams have been traced back to him as well. He is currently facing more than a dozen lawsuits for using the names of celebrities, and even Larry King without their authorization.
This has to be about 500th time that the little ### has used the name of Google, the Apple iPod, the Apple iPad, and Samsung's 3D TV's in a scam.

Swipebids.com fraud

I logged into their website, thinking of trying to bid a small amount of money to get a laptop for my grandson. They took $159.00 from my debit card.
All communications are phony. All addresses they list are phony. Their Terms of Sale show 1 address in Aurora, Co., another in Orem, Utah and their biggest gaffe is an addressed in Haslemere Surrey uk.
This address, 72 High street is occupied by a real estate agency, and two attorneys, a firm called Gardner Thorpe Solicitors. Attorneys there are Paul Gardner and Martin Coakley.
Their phone number is [protected] to direct dial. I cannot do this from my phone.
Ms. Philippa's email address is philippa.[protected]@thebestof.co.uk.
In summary. Their addresses listed within their Terms and Conditions are not legitimate.
They have no phone numbers in existence. They need to be reported to the attorney generals in the respective states they claim to have a physical address in. I will, in the meantime, contact the Attorneys in the UK.

Stay away from swipebids it's a total scam! I went to look at thier web site to just look at what was up for bid - never allowed them to use my information or agreed to anything they automatically charged my account $159.00 3 TIMES! thank goodness I have an automatic alert on my credit card (if you don't have your credit card with the automatic alert call them and get it, it's free and everyone should use it) called capital one (love them) and stopped payment.do not let these crooks take your money.

Jennifer ( if that is her real name) should be ashamed of her self. Swipe Bids is a total Scam.

Here is a copy of the last post in a very long string of correspondences from Swipe Bids. I was trying to get my refund after completing all the steps needed to qualify. It was a night mare and ultimately Swipe bids refused to refund the money for no reason. Read below and enjoy. They are ###.

This was from about the 18th of August

========================
Carol: I apologize for the inconvenience but every possible effort to process your refund through our Merchant account has failed. Due to strict credit card regulations we have been prevented from issuing your refund by cheque. At this point, our only recommendation available is to have you contact your bank and ask them to process the refund to your credit card.

you: That is unacceptable. You promised to refund the money to my account via the credit card. Then yu said the system was down and it will be mailed to me as a check. Then you said there were issues and it will be a further 2 weeks yet again to process the checks... Now you are saying that it is not possible to refund by check. That is clearly not true and I can hear that this is a system to avoid making o good on the promise which I have have writing.

Carol: Our payment merchant via which we have received your money has gone out of business and can no longer be used to refund you.

you: That is silly. You have the money in house of course. I understand how business works. I demand that you write me a check now to refund the money owed via your own statements and promises. This behavior is totally disreputable and you should be ashamed of scamming the public this way. I want to talk to your manager.

Carol: You need to ask them to process charge back as our payment system could not process refund at our end due to some technical issues.

you: That is ridiculous. You are responsible for the refund. not my credit card company. Your company is not out of business and is still an ongoing entity so it is silly to claim that I have to receive funds from my credit card company. I want to talk to your manager again. Please transfer me to that person now.

Carol: Sorry, our manager is not available to chats.

you: This is a total scamm I can hear. YOu refuse to refund my money
you: I can hear that this is a total scam. Do you refuse to refund my money?

Carol: No, we are not refusing to refund you.

you: Then return the money to me now.

Carol: We are not able to refund you anymore.
Carol: We are not able to refund you anymore.

you: If you are not able to refund the money then you are refusing to refund the money. It is a simple matter of writing a check. I have been promised as much over on 4 different occasions.

Carol: Due to strict credit card regulations we have been prevented from issuing your refund by cheque.

you: There is no such regulations. I have contested several times erroneous charges and scams on my credit card previously and I know that is not true. YOur refund of a check to me has nothing to do with a credit card charge.

Carol: Please dispute that charge also.

you: YOu should send the funds back to my credit card as you obviously have the ability to charge other new unsuspecting persons by charging their cards. You can of course credit the funds back to the same card. I believe you are lying to me by claiming that the system is down, the system is broken, the main office has to send it via a third party. and now you say that the company is out of business, then there are regulations to prevent you from paying money due. This is totally reprehensible. Are you not ashamed Carol, if that is your name.

Carol: One moment please.

you: Are You There

Carol: Sorry, we are unable to help regarding that.

you: Then you refuse to refund the illegally held funds?

Carol: You can say like that also.

Chuck & David, Thanks for keeping me up on things with SWIPEBUCKS. I've decided to just get on with other things since the people/organizations that are supposed to take note of and action against GRAND-SCALE thieves such as these choose to do nothing. All I've gathered from corresponding with them is either No Reply or the attitude that "I'm just here to collect my paycheck every week"...and "Gotta Go! It's Break Time."

BTW, if you or anyone you know is/are looking for a computer/internet job PLEASE: BE VERY CAUTIOUS! I've been looking for over a year and can't find anything legitimate. They've become much easier to check out since I've discovered this web site and others like it. The latest one of these that's a Rip-
Off is PROJECT PAYDAY. At the bottom of their last internet page is a list of affiliates: ClearVoiceSurveys.com .. TrafficSwarm.com .. AdMinder.com .. PaidGamePlayer.com .. SurveyScout.com .. ROI Rocket Affiliates .. SurveyClub.com. There are 5 other complaints already on here that I found when I entered PROJECT PAYDAY. You all be Extra careful out there if you're looking for internet work. The Rip-Off Artists with their SCAMS are going to multiply like rabbits with the economy and unemployment the way it is. And jobs aren't going to magically reappear overnite.

There are some legitimate sources of help out there. Check out BUSINESS.com. They include "Money Making Mommy" and "TJobs.com"--
(Telecommuting Jobs):MONSTER andCAREER BUILDER also list these. Visit "Journalism Jobs" for work-at-home writing opportunities.

"Worldwide Work At Home" lists several well-known companies such as 1-800-Flowers that offer opportunities for customer service technicians. Many companies that use overseas employees to answer their customer service lines
are offering some of these jobs as home-based positions here at home because of so many complaints from their customers (Can YOU understand the foreign customer service agents--or make them understand you?)

To determine if a direct marketing opportunity is legit, check to see if they are a member of the "Direct Selling Association." The company you work for may consider letting you work from home--it couldn't hurt to ask!

This information came from Jeanni Brosius, CEO, Brosius Young Communications. As a last warning from her: DON'T apply for a position that seems too good to be true ..AND..DON'T PAY MONEY for home-based job leads. I found this and lots more at BUSINESS.COM. GOOD LUCK!

Recently received a legal letter from Cen Com attorney demanding payment for Alarm Service (fro more than 3 years) for our business that was never provided. I asked them fro a copy of the contract. They refused. Instead they threatened that they would go to court and get a default judgement. Their theory is that we are in Los Angeles and they are in Washington and it would be very expensive for us to hire an attorney to fight that lawsuit. And they said so.
I am awaiting the lawsuit because they will have to provide a copy of the contract.
Stay away from these turkeys.
I am going to file a complaint with BBB also.

I think they will take as much money as they can and close down. Then they will start again with another web site and same or different scam.

BTW whats their phone number. We should all call them 100s of times till our problems are resolved or they get tired and shut down.

Hello, I also got scammed by their hard to find $150 fee. I found it after the fact on the bottom of the page that asks for your credit card info. I did a dispute with paypal. However, paypal denied the dispute, claiming that Swipebids was willing to give a refund by printing and filling out their refund form. I want to know, if anyone got satisfication by using their refund process?

Kind regards,

Patricia

Swipebids.com UNLAWFUL USE OF DEBIT CARD

SWIPEBIDS.COM deducted $150.00 out of my bank account with my debit card number claiming that I was the high bidder on something--I have no idea what it was nor how they got my card number; it was never mentioned in my complaint what the bid was for or when it took place. They did refund it after I threatened them with FTC! I'm checking with my bank now since I can't go back further than 11 pages online. I think it was about 2-3 months ago. I will send another notice when I find out the dates so that you might be able to do something. They are very, very, very corrupt!

In Christ Jesus,
Nellie Austin

Swipebids.com false advertising

The following URL, http://www.swipebids.com/landing2206B.php?catid=11&awt_l=C0E0w&awt_m=L0ME5kMPl038rx, found on facebook, only shows electronics so i thought they were dealing with just electronics.

That site led me to the URL, http://www.swipebids.com/registration_pg1.php, which further led me to believe it is electronics, so I signed up.

They do not indicate they are taking $150 from your account up-front.

This URL, http://www.swipebids.com/index.php shows things you can bid on after signing up. It does have some electronics, but I signed up thinking it I would be bidding on more electronics, particularly laptops & accessories. Once logged in you find very few electronics. I found 1 item of interest. I did try thier site and found out my $150.00 worth of bidding would not get me even close to winning the item. They require you buy more bids at 50 cents per bid. It would have cost several hundred more dollars to win it.

An example is Auction ID: 2169609, (actual auction, as I am logged into thier site for informational purposes only). The time is 04:26pm central (could be a little off because I am slow to type). At this very moment the item is at $313.96. Bids go up by 1 cent, so there have been 31, 396 bids. 1 bid cost 50 cents. According to my calculations, thats $15, 698.00 (please correct me if I am wrong). They require you to buy bids in bulk. Clearly a scam.

Swipebids.com Gambling

Membership of $150 dollars that you are not informed about and buys you nothing.

Bids cost 50c but you need $2.50 to bid on an item and the auction amount does not go up accordingly. So telling the public that something like an iPad was sold for $100 is a lie.

You also do not know who is making the bids and I suspect insider bidding to keep you on the hook and to exhaust your bids.

This is gambling in it's purest form and the authorities should treat it as such.

Swipebids.com Membership REfund

Refund policy requires me to continue to be active using SwipeBids service and to exhaust the credits purchased by me at the outset of the membership. I did not read carefully and did not understand that I would be charged $150 for a membership, until I received the email invoice for the membership. When I investigated further, I learned that SwipeBids offers other membership levels, none of which were offered or explained at the time of sign-up. I was surprised to be charged a membership fee, in comparison with other online auction sites that do not charge a membership fee at the outset of membership. When I requested to speak with authority to get my refund, I was refused access to a phone number or mailing address where I could address the policy and request my refund. The only avenue offered was to address the issue through the online chat service. The refund policy is unethical, as it requires my use and participation of the service in order to be eligible to receive the advertised "guaranteed refund." If I do not wish to use the service, I am held to the requirement of participating and use of the purchased bids and risk the forfeiture of my $150. I was also offended that the SwipeBids telephone assistance manager Lindsey (contacted via telephone on 6/19/10 at 8:16 AM PST) offered me 500 additional bids, in effect a bribe of $50.

I was signing up for an on line subscription to USA Today, as I was signing up I has to step away to answer the door. When I came back i finished filling out the information and hit submit and swipebids.com popped up and I had been chaerged $150.

They have a "30 day money back guarantee" what they don't say is you have to "bid on items more than 10-30 a day to apply for a refund. There is no strretr address or obvious way to contact them except through live chat. I did get a cancellation number and was told to start bidding.

I filed with the Florida Attorney Genreal and the Federal Trade Commission.

This is clearly a highjacking of a legitrimate web site whose practices deceitful with vague and unclear terms..

I paid $150 to join Swipe Bids, which is an online auction. All bids are a penny at a time until an item is won.My membership included 60 free bids per day. They have a 30 day money back guarantee if you didn't win at least 1 auction during this time.About 3 weeks in, they pulled a funny little stunt. At the end of my bidding on that day I had 4 bids left. I continued bidding and these 4 bids remained. They give you 4 BIDS which you can never use.If I use my 60 bids per day, these 4 bids remain. I can bid as much as I want and still have these 4 bids. Here is the catch: In order to get the refund, you must use these 4 bids, which is impossible. They have a live chat and one of their customer service reps told me that they would provide the refund as soon as I used the 4 remaining bids. She suggested that I bid on a $10 Walmart Gift Card to use the bids.I'm sure they cold have arranged for me to win that one, then they wouldn't have to refund the $150 because I would have won an auction. Most of their auction is auctioning off more bids. You can also purchase more bids.No need though, you will always have 4 left. Stay away from Swipbids.com, they are a total scam!

I saw the ad on the MSN homepage this morning. It offered 1000 bids if you enter the code at registration. I went to the site and registered, and at no point did it suggest that I was purchasing anything (www.swipebids.com/registration_pg1.php). All 3 pages of registration directed me to scroll down to fill in information.
I filled in the information, and within the hour my bank e-mailed an alert that someone was debiting my account for over $100! I went on-line and sure enough swipebid had taken $159.00! I contacted online chat and Nichole told me the code was "not working" and she would not honor the ad. She directed me to a link just like the one I signed up on, but there was a glaring difference! Where "Win Great Prizes at Incredible prices!" appears ther is clearly "for a $159.00 charge and 300 "Free Bids"! I sent her the link from MSN and she acknowledged this information is not there. She sent me a PDF file to fill out refund request (takes at least a Month!) which I have to mail, wait 2 weeks call to confirm, then wait at least 2 more weeks! Do you think this is a guarantee or what? Sure felt like a scam throughout regardless of their intent, and they are not in any hurry to make it right. I do hope it is working for those who do get to use it. I further hope that Swipebids fixes the misleading information.

I wanted to file this complaint because this "online penny auction" site is very dishonest and sneaky in how the conduct business. When you sign up they make it look like you're just putting in your information to sign up and you can "buy" bids for a low price to bid on big ticket items and win them for cheap. Upon entering your information, you are immediately taken to a page confirming the $159 charge to your account. When you look back, they have very very sneakily included this in the main page, but make it look like it is an OPTION for when you sign up, not mandatory when you sign up. After joining and realizing I had been charged an arm and a leg I was still pretty gullible and hopeful! I thought that maybe if I won an auction for cheap that the $159 charge would be justified! It was only after I started bidding that I realized that it was a scam. Every time you bid on something the site adds more time to the bid, making it utterly IMPOSSIBLE to win any auction. This website should be shut down!

Swipebids.com dupes unsuspecting people into paying a $150.00 charge. Their information is so misleading about costs that it would take a Philadelphia lawyer to ferret out the fact that they get $150.00 from everyone then you pay for your bids. WATCH OUT for this site. They are stealling pure and simple. It's amazing how eBay has made gazillions of dollars with legitimate bids and these people are stealing the $150.00 outright. Don't sign up!

Used E-Bay to log onto a company called "swipebids.com" for the purpose of bidding on products. The company charged an initial $150.00 for membership and so many initial bids. Once you accepted their so-called rules, you could bid on products. However, in order to bid you had to continue to purchase "bid points" which cost additional money which was collected through E-Bay.

The problem is that no matter how long you are online bidding, you never get the bid of the product you are bidding on. Each time you make a bid, you use up "bid dollars" the same as you use cash. Again, the problem is that you continue to purchase bids and never are awarded any products. The only thing you actually win bids on are more "bid dollars." This company refuses to refund any actual cash. They refuse to award any actual products. Yet, in order to bid on products you must remain online with the "Swipebids" website for numerous hours and use up purchased "bid dollars" without ever being awarded a product.

The company's ad and subsequent "come-on" ads all show how people are being awarded products at prices below market value through auctions. This is all a "SCAM" as no matter how long (I've been online and on the site for seventeen (17) hours and have never won an actual product bid.

I believe this website is a fraudulent site strictly to dupe people into joining and each month they charge your credit card an additional $50.00 for a non product.

How do I get my money back as I have closed the initial credit card and been issued another card/number which "Swipebids-Ebay" do not have access to?

As all others who reported SwipeBids (this site is scamming people out of $150), I was charged $150, and it was immediately taken from my bank account WITHOUT first letting me know the cost. I went through the usual web chat and received nothing more than excuses. I requested a refund - NOTHING HAPPENED! So I immediately reported this to my bank who took care of a refund; however, I warn everyone who even sees this website to bypass it IMMEDIATELY. They will take your money within seconds and refuse to cancel and refund.

I joined this site with the expectation that I was going to pay $1 for the sample bids to try it out. By the time I got done entering my credit card information I realized they took me for $150! It is impossible to change the package to the $1 package. And they won't give me a refund. They keep giving me the run around. I believe this is also a scam in the fact that you can bid and bid but never really win. There are bidders that are on every single auction. Why is that fair? They should limit people to a few auctions at a time. They apparantly have a way that the site will just bid for you every so often. This site needs to be closed down! Don't fall for it! They are ripping people off!

Please wait for a site operator to respond.

You are now chatting with 'Amanda'

Amanda: Thank you for visiting SwipeBids. We are here to help you win auctions, save money and have a great time. Who am I speaking with?

jimmy: jimmy

Amanda: Hi, may I have your email address please?

jimmy: ...@aol.com

Amanda: Ok, how may I assist you?

jimmy: I read that this is a scam and they were right. I guess I'll have to call the JP

Amanda: SwipeBids is most certainly not a scam. Though given how great some of our bargains are, I can understand why you might be suspicious. We are a company that sells products directly to consumers after they have won one of our auctions. Because of the high volume of sales we have and the income we generate through bids, we are able to let people purchase products at a much lower cost than normal retail. And because we are the ones shipping the products, we have much more control over the process – unlike other auction sites that let people sell their own products. I hope this clarifies your concern.

jimmy: If you can't provide a refund it is a scam.

Amanda: Please CLICK HERE for details that were stated on your checkout page as you confirmed your original purchase. This checkout page and its disclosures have been approved by our Attorneys, and comply with strict credit card regulations issued by your bank to ensure the charges cannot be disputed.

jimmy: Any respectable company can reverse it. You have everything set up as a runaround. This is the giveaway of a scam. You can't possibly expect a person with a brain to believe your line.

Amanda: We do have a 30 Day Money Back Guarantee to ensure you are completely satisfied, please CLICK HERE and follow the easy steps to ensure you get this issue resolved.

Moniker Privacy Services: how long do you think this scam will last befor it is shut down?

Falon: SwipeBids is most certainly not a scam.

Moniker Privacy Services: how would you like it if i stole 150 dollars out of your account

Falon: e

Falon: Upon signup for Swipebids.com, 300 bids were offered at .50 each for a total of $150.00. Details are stated on the Membership Sign-Up page under Membership Details. Falon: Please CLICK HERE for details that were stated on your checkout page as you confirmed your original purchase. RIP OFF SITE. DON'T BE FOOLED! Came upon their website through MSNBC.com. Signed up thinking it was a similar auction site like e-bay. I didn't see anywhere on the site that I would be charged $150 to my credit card. Right after I signed up, a screen came up saying that I had 300 bids credited to my account. It just seemed suspicious so I checked by credit card account and I was charged. Of course their site has no phone number to call but they do have a "live chat" option. I demanded my money be refunded and my registration be cancelled and they said that they can cancel me (of course) but could not refund or remove the charge (of course). I will still pursue fighting this charge.

Gennie: Please refrain from using abusing language. If you continue to do so, this chat session will be discontinued.

you: how would you feel if someone just stole $150.00 from you?

Gennie: Sorry, but we haven't stolen your money you had accepted our membership terms that is $150 is for 1 year membership charge along with 300 bids to start bidding and win.

you: I'm sorry, but I did not accept my card being charged $150.00 - at no time did you website say it was going to charge me $150.00 - If customer service is important to your company, just refund my card - easy! It will save me and your company a lot of legal expenses. If you can't do it, can you find someone there that can - your boss, maybe?

Gennie: Sorry, but you have to follow the easy steps to qualify and get money back in 30 days.

you: I'm sorry, but I'm not going to get further involved in your scam. i have just been swindled of $150.00 and you expect me to keep pressing buttons on your website? I'm not sure about you, but money is fairly important to me - I really don't want to loose any more. Can you give me someone's email address or phone number in management that I can submit a formal complaint to?

Gennie: To get assistance via phone, please call this number: [protected] (Mon – Sat 8 am - 9 pm & Sun from 10 am - 6 pm Eastern Time). However, I am here to provide you immediate customer service.

Gennie: Or you can email us regarding your this concern at : [protected]@swipebids.com where your concern will be addressed by our supervisors and they will help you further regarding your this concern.

you: you are providing "no" customer service though? I need to speek to someone who can refund my card - who should I ask for when I ring?

Gennie: You can ask for their supervisor as you don't get it that there is no option other than Money Back Guarantee to claim your money

you: No, you don't "get it" that what you are doing is "illegal" in Australia. It might float in the USA, but not here. The 1, 2, 3 money back guarantee is, as you are well aware of, another scam to swindle me of more funds.

Gennie: I am sorry, you have subscribed to our services and you have to follow the money back guarantee policy to get refund.

you: Kill me :( I have just started a new facebook site whilst I was waiting for your response - it's called "Scammed by swipebids.com" - check it out. I will send this transcript to my bank and my lawyer.

you: oh, and I think I might post it to every public blog I can find - I didn't have much to do tonight anyways.

Gennie: Sorry, for the inconvenience but try to understand that I don't have authority to refund that's why I'm telling you to follow the steps because only by following this you can get refund.

you: I appreciate you only work there. It must really suck coming to work each day knowing you are swindling people out of their hard earned cash. It's OK...I'll find your company directors home address and phone number and give him a call - I'm really good at doing stuff like that.

Gennie: Thank you but I recommend you to follow the steps as that is last way to get your refund.

you: Look I would love to, but I have just taken $150.00 from me without my authorisation. Surely you can understand that I don't really want to run the risk of you taking any more of my money? Using your website is a really bad idea. I'm filling in a google form as we speak, hopefully they will blacklist your company from searches. They're fairly good like that.

Gennie: Sorry, for so much inconvenience but I would like to gave you 1 advice please do read the terms and condition of the program that you are applying before sign up so in order to don't face such problem and about Swipebids.com refund you have to follow the steps as we have mentioned all the terms and condition on the first page.

you: Thank you for filing a complaint with the Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3). Your complaint has been submitted. Once processed by the IC3, you will be sent an email containing your complaint id and password to be used for future contacts with the IC3. This process can take several hours.

Gennie: Sorry, I didn't get you ?

you: It's OK - it was just a cut and paste of the Internet Crime Complaint Center's form I have just filled out. I have also submitted one to google and are currently filling out a facebook advertising breech form.

Chat session has ended.

I did the same as everyone else and made the same mistake signing up.
I thought I had to enter a credit card to get into the system. I didn't know they were going to charge my card as soon as I was going to the next page.
I have never had a site that doesn't give you a review of your charges you will be agreeing to before you are charged. This was the first one as it instantly charged my card $159.00.
I immediately attempted to find a contact number for customer service which I finally did find after Google search that someone else had posted. I also found all the others posted complaints that have been ripped off by this site and realized I was in for a fight. I was lucky and talked to a representative. The rep gave me the information for the four page request for refund and I then send it through the mail. I sent it registered mail so they could not deny ever receiving it. I called a week later and they said they had it and it was being reviewed. Another week and I was told it was approved. Another week after that, I couldn't find the number to call and had to resort to the online chat. I was told it was approved and was being taken care of. I asked "when... like right now you are doing it and approving it?" In so many words she said yes. So a week later it was credited to my credit card. It took a month, but I did get it back.
Hang in there or call your credit card company and let them go after them if all else fails. It is a scam based on the information out there. The few winners who happen to have thousands of wins. Nobody has that much time or money. They apparently have a bot system that keeps bidding the product up and eventually the computer bot wins as they take everyone that bids money. Steer clear and learn a valuable lesson as I did. I am very computer savvy have hundreds of bids from eBay with 100% feedback. It goes to show how many thieves are out there and using the internet to part you with your money. Before you sign up for a company that looks too good to be true, Google the company name and add "reviews" to the inquiry. You will get a general idea of the company, reputation, pitfalls and experiences dealing with them. You can save a lot of money, time and heartache.
I wish the best of luck to you how are dealing with these people getting the same results I did.

Good Afternoon,

Please view my previous post as I have provided information on SwipeAuctions(formerly Swipebids). Like many companies we have offices in more then one location/country which is why our company shows more then one address.

As I will no longer be visiting this blog if you have any questions or concerns regarding a refund or any other issue please contact me personally at jennifer@swipeauctions.com. Please include your first/last name, user name, email linked to your account and the link to this post. Hope to hear from you soon.

There is a good piece of advice I found at:

/URL removed/

Read the entire string. Jennifer is going to various internet blogs to offer support. However, I do not quite understand why Swipebids has different company addresses. I know companies have satellites, but their main address remains constant.

Also, Swipebids is now called swipeauctions.

SWipe bids
Swipebids
Swipe Auctions

would be good search words to really get a picture of what is happening here.

I always do say...Buyer Beware and do your homework before jumping in with both feet.

Check out their addresses at BBB, [redacted]s, and on their site. They are real confusing.

well this is interesting because i posted a complaint very much like Cyberj only i did go through the 1-2-3 easy money back guarantee process and qualified for a refund but did i get it? what do you think? all i have gotten is due to technical issues we can not process your refund here and have forwarded it to the head office to issue a refund by cheque. I was assured i would recieve a refund with in 2 weeks. ha i contacted live chat which is the only way to communicate with them and was told that due to strict credit card regulations they can not issue a cheque and for me to contact my bank and have them issue me the refund. I did all the same things, printed out our chat's, filed a complaint wit fbi-internet fraud dept. the bbb and took all paper work to my bank to dispute the charge. then i get a comment from jennifer, head of customer service of swipebids saying the same thing she has said to you except she wasn't out of town so now i see that jennifer contacts everyone who complains. has anyone been refunded by jennifer- head of customer service. when i asked live chat to speak to a supervisor i was told they don't speak to bidders. REALLY... well i'm not a bidder, i'm wanting my guaranteed money back. i closed out my debit card due to them so there can be no more charges. i am now waiting to hear from my bank, then i will contact jennifer. i would like to think that i will get my money back, it's just not going to be easy or fun but i will not blow it off...no i will stay on this until i do get my 100% guaranteed money back. i hate scammers and this is my first dealings with one.

Swipebids, is apparently called that name for a reason, on June 13th they took me for $150.00 unbeknownst to me. They told me that I gave authorization by entering my Debit Card number, oddly enough I just wanted to ready the account should I decide to bid on their auctions... When I tried to back out of the program I received a blank page then some writing appeared on the top of the page that stated my card was being charged, so when I called in they they said I had to go to a website and download a cancellation form and I inquired as to why they wouldn't just credit the account by the amount ($150) well we aren't equipped to do that so you have to go to the website.

To make this easy, read the entire string at:

/URL removed/

It has some advice that may help.

They call themselves:

swipebids
swipeauctions
swipe auctions
swipe bids

The same company. Just having different names to limit reviews throughout the Internet.
