Centerline Concepts (CCI) was contacted by Survey America inc. 815 John Street, Suite 130 Evansville, Indiana 47713 ( Patrick Hocking, owner) to perform ALTA surveys on several gas stations in Oregon and Washington in 2008.

CCI performed the surveys as requested AHEAD of schedule and delivered them to Survey America via email. That is when the trouble began, as soon as we were 60 days out on payment we began calling and sending repeated statements to no response. CCI's attorey checked with the holding Co. (Time oil, and Star oil) that ordered the surveys and they provided proof that they had paid Survey America in full.
The staff at Survey America told CCI that Patrick Hocking was the owner and sole person in charge, after dealing with this delinquent account of $26, 000. we began threatening a lawsuit, and dicovered the following information

-- Survey America was not licensed to conduct business in Washington or Oregon.
-- Survey America had been paid by the Holding Co. that ordered the services.
-- CCI was not the first business that Survey America had done this to, follow this link to see other similar stories. /URL removed/

After this CCI proceeded to have Survey America "served" with notice that they were going to be sued if they did not make arrangements or pay in full. Patrick Hocking agreed to payment arrangements that were minimal to say the least but would satisfy both parties in the end. After all of that Survey America has paid one payment to CCI, Patrick Hocking would not and has not communicated with CCI and the debt is still outstanding. This is a bad company, that odes not live up to its obligations and is dishonest in every aspect. Patrick Hocking is a dishonest person continues to avoid contact causing CCI to formally sue Survey America and Patrick Hocking. Do not do business with Patrick Hocking or Survey America who recently changed their web address to www.survayors.com ***note that SURVEYOR is spelled incorrectly in their web address...

Kudo's to those with the resources to shut this guy down. Yes, I fell prey to Survey America like you, I'm still owed around $7, 000, but I plan on never seeing it. I did recieve a promised payment after repeated calls and threats were made. The check? you guessed it! It bounced! When I contacted our beloved Texas Attorney General about the scam it fell on deaf ears. Figures screwed by a con-artist and offended by my own State!

Hocking owed me some money for some residential surveys, and I threatend the homeowners with a lean. They called Hockings office, and I got paid. A real ###.

I have also been ripped off by Survey America " Patrick Hocking". I was just called today from his attorney in Evansville telling me that Survey America is defunct. I am not owed near as much as some of those out there that has been ripped off. I do have an outstanding case with Patrick Hocking in small claims court in Indiana.

I have had the pleasure to meet the coward face to face in Evansville while doing other business. He would not hardly even open the door to come out side and talk to me about the debt. He did try to make some payments which did not amount to much or satisfy the debt. He is professional at avoiding his responsibilities or
flim-flaming people.

To make a long story short, Patrick or a representative of Patrick has not showed up to court to this date. The judge has expressed that if he does not appear the next hearing, he may be held in contempt of court. I am prepared to have the case filed or moved to Vanderburg county in Evansville so that the contempt charge is made know to the local authorities. Patrick lives in Evansville for those of you who doesn't know. Patrick has his house and property filed in his wifes name. Patrick thinks he is smarter everyone. Patrick may have evaded me for now, but may pay later if he is picked up for any minor infraction of the law.

Patrick will get what's coming to him eventually.

In 2007, Patrick Hocking was a non payment client for Design Surveys, LLC and still owes us $23, 500.00

What can be done to take him out of practice? It is dishonest people like him who take small companies out of buisness for non payment, just so he can stay in buisness and continue to rip off hard honest working companies!
