This company had came to my home to open up our lawn sprinkler sprinkler system for spring may 4, 2007. They told me wires were pulled out of the computer box and also who ever winterized the system did so incorrectly causing multiple leaks in the lines and zones to be inoperable. By the time they were about to leave they left about 20 red flags all over our property displaying broken sprinkler heads and lines in need of replacement. the contractors then stated we needed a whole new system because it would be too time consuming to repair everything. Of course I was furious and upset screaming that it was in fact his company that winterized the system and everything was working properly at that time. He said he will have to look at his paper work to confirm that. But would have to reschedule to replace whole system.

Of course when I repeated to my husband we were looking at about $8000.00 in a whole new system he laughed really hard and said " What did you expect, they see you only as a dumb blonde housewife with money to spare". He proceeded on the sprinkler system and almost all sprinkler heads were in working order except for four, he wrote the model numbers down went to the store to replace for $15.00 per head . He said he will look at the wiring this weekend but has no doubt this can also be easily fixed. Of course I had called the company repeatedly to have them repair it but they just come up with all kinds of excuses...

PS: the supply house for the sprinklers also laughed when he told them the story and said ,"yeah the sprinkler companies are hurting and their trying to line up some big jobs".

    Superior Lawn Sprinklers - just had these idiots start up my system today, instead of doing it myself as I had for many years... too many issues to list that they screwed up, but I am stopping payment on the check now that I realize how bad they are... wish I saw this posting earlier.

    Misdiagnosed head and coverage problems, sold me a timer last fall that I probably never needed, did not know how to program the timer this spring etc... spent over an hour correcting the mistakes and need another 2-3 hours to do it right myself... HAROLD - ARE YOU LISTENING!!?

    In response to the above complaints, I would like to say that everyone has their own opinions, and I can appreciate that. We have been in business for many years and have over 2000 satisfied customers and counting, at which referrals are gladly provided to prove the opposite of the above comments. The complaints above have just come to my attention due to this web site, and I had no opportunity to correct or discuss the situations. Furthermore these customers, were inherited from other sprinkler companies and their systems were not installed by Superior Lawn Sprinklers, but only serviced for a brief time. Unfortunately you cannot please everyone. Sorry we couldn't have worked this out. Good luck in the future with your sprinkler system.

    There are several Superior Lawn Sprinklers. We have been using the UnionNJ location for the past four years and have had a great experience. Superior is actutally the company who had to fix the nightmare that American Sprinkler created. Talk about a bunch of butchers. But that's an entirely different story.

    The Union Location is family owned and operated. They just left my home this morning (6/24/10) after being here for a pre-scheduled repair. They showed up on time - 7:15 am and made all repairs - they had to dig up plants ans move mulch. Everything was put back in the same manner in which they found it. I have always found them to be friendly, helpful and yes, honest. I am a SAHM of two small children. I have never felt that they have tried to rob me because I am a " dumb woman with money to spare" as the top review stated. They always come to me before they have anything additional on my estimate, and today I received two normally payable repairs - free of charge-. We will continue to use Superior and recommend them.
