SuperAmerica / Northern Tier Retail loud radio, early in morning, late at night disturbs neighborhood

The super america at 577 smith avenue south play their radio loudly at even they are closed. It has repeatedly denied my request to not have their radio go off early in the morning. I am an early riser but their radio goes off loudly in the we hours of the morning. If the staff is there, the staff is nice and will unplug the radio, but unbelievable that they can not program or control their own radio. They are a terrible neighbor and they do not respond to repeated complaints.

SuperAmerica / Northern Tier Retail unethical behavior

I went to the SA store in Lakeville MN, on Keokuk Ave at 4:30 on Saturday 1/28/17 to purchase some Lottery Tickets, I asked the clerk working the counter for 5 -Separate power ball Tickets and 5 Northstar cash same ticket,
I watch her make the ( First mistake) buy printing the power ball tickets on the same, then she remembered that I wanted separate tickets, she taped the the first mistake ticket on the computer than came back to me, she saw I had 15 dollars on the counter ( 1 five dollar bill and a 10 dollar bill ) she then said, ( O you wanted 5 Northstar cash), ( Second mistake), then went back to the lottery computer and taped that ticket to the screen, I did not see what the mistake was but she then came back and took my money and handed me my tickets, I then stepped out of line, as there was other customers waiting, before I left I counted my power ball tickets and she only gave me 4, ( Third mistake )not 5, I then stepped back in line to tell her, she proceeded to tell me I was lying and that she gave me the right amount, she also proceeded to tell me( your just trying to get money out of me ) I told her I am not and that she owes me another ticket, with a lot of unprofessional attitude and verbal comments so everyone in line could hear her, she finally gave me my ticket, on the way out the door she said with a loud voice, ( Have fun with your extra Ticket ) there was about 6 to 8 customers in the store who heard this, I then turned around and asked to speak with a manager, she said she was the manager, I have never had a issue in a SA store were I was treated with such disrespect as a customer, if she is not happy with her job maybe she should find a different profession, I live right down the street from the store and will not be going back to SA when there is a Holiday across the street, Thank You for your time

SuperAmerica / Northern Tier Retail stunning verbal abuse and mistreatment of loyal customers

I am still livid and furious two hours after this incident. I am just going to copy and paste what I sent to SuperAmerica's website about this, but I'll remove the names.

To whomever is in charge of customer services issues, I am not a person who normally sends in complaints. This is the first time I've ever felt that I absolutely needed to do so in my entire life, actually. I would like to start by saying that I am probably one of the most "regular" customers that this store has. I live one block away and I come into the store to shop multiple times a day. Before tonight I was an extremely loyal customer. On an average week I probably spend close to seven hundred dollars at SuperAmerica. I have gotten to know all the employees working at this location simply because I come in so often, in fact one of your managers at this location has literally been begging me to come and work with them because we all get along so well! The majority of the staff are such great people that I really liked coming to this store so much. I buy everything from snacks, drinks, gas, cigarettes, lottery tickets and household items from you guys. Even when it isn't the most convenient or the most affordable option I always chose to spend my money with you, and when I think about it, that choice was always made based on the (usually) fantastic customer service I am used to getting there. After tonight I am really unsure as to whether I will be coming back or not. I was treated like trash tonight, like less than a person, I've never received such horrible treatment anywhere in my life. Here is what happened, and I assure you I am not exaggerating - if it hadn't been THIS bad I wouldn't be spending my time writing to you about this.

I came into the store just after 9. The store was busy, and there were only two employees visible. Both were behind the counter, but only one person (the new guy) was on a register. I feel that I should mention here that I am not complaining about him at all. He was only trying to do his job and doing as he was told to by his fellow employee, and I know he is new and still training. When I went to get in the line it was stretching all the way to the back wall, there were about 15 or more people in front of me. This entire time that I was waiting, I was wondering to myself why the other employee behind the counter wouldn't get on one of the open registers to help ring up customers, but I kept that to myself. After waiting quite awhile it was my turn to get checked out. I had planned to fill up a full tank of gas, hand in 3 lottery tickets and buy more and also to purchase cigarettes. At this point the line behind me was just as long as when I had first gotten in it myself, there were people lined up all the way to the back wall again. I handed my tickets to the cashier, and as he went to scan them he finally asked (name removed) could she please help him ring some people up. She was instantly annoyed and started saying to him that lottery customers aren't important and when its busy that lottery customers need to go to the back of the line until every other customer has been helped, and that he needed to tell me this even though I was someone who should "know better". I am a polite person. I make a point of making my purchases in a timely matter and not making other people wait on me, and at the point when he asked her for help he had only spent about 10 seconds on me. She spent a little more time hassling him, all the while all of us are still waiting and no one is being served while she rants at him. Once she finished, she grudgingly got on another register and he somewhat timidly came up to me and said that in the future I will need to go to the back of the line and wait until every other customer has been served. This was repeated to me 3 times throughout my time there. I don't like being treated like trash or "less than" any of the other customers.

My response, said to both of them, is that with the hundreds of dollars I spend at this store every week that at the very least I deserve a place in the line like any other customer. To me, (name removed) then said that wasn't true (exact words were an emphatic "nuh-uh you don't"). She told me "we don't make any money on lottery tickets so technically you're not even a customer and definitely no priority" and again, told me that in the future I will "need to stand at the back of the line and wait until every other customer has been helped". At this point there was no way that I was going to buy a full tank of gas, cigarettes, more lottery tickets, or anything else from the store until something was done about this. The bottom line is, it shouldn't matter what I am buying, or how much I am spending, all customers should get the same treatment and no one should EVER be told that they are less important and much worse, that they will need to stand at the back of the line and let 30 people go in front of them regardless of how long they've been waiting because their transaction doesn't matter to that cashier. I was about to spend close to $200 at your store, but even if I was just spending fifty cents I should've been given the same respect as anyone else. To be told these things really, really upset me.

It mind sound silly but I enjoyed shopping at your store, enjoyed the rest of your employees, and this left me much more bothered than it would've somewhere else because of this. Even worse, is that she was telling a trainee to treat customers the same horrible way. It was obvious that the new cashier did not want to repeat to me what Phyllis told him to tell me, but she was standing there arms crossed glaring at him waiting for him to do so and wasn't going to get on the register to help him ring people up until he did, that was obvious. On top of all that, I didn't appreciate being treated like garbage and called out and shamed like that in front of all the 20+ customers who were waiting in line just like me when I got to the register. She basically told all the people in line that it was my fault that there even was a line at all, even though the line was just as bad when I got to the store. If she hadn't made a scene and spent all that time verbally abusing me, and had just gotten on the other register, things would've moved a whole lot faster! Words really can't describe how furious I was when I left the store and headed to a different gas station to do my business. To be told that I don't deserve a place in line like everyone else, that I am "no priority" and "technically not a customer" because the store isn't profiting off the lottery portion of my purchase (she didn't take the time to find out that I had wanted to buy other things either), to treat me that way in front of all the other customers, and to teach that kind of behavior to a trainee is beyond rude, beyond "poor" customer service, it is simply unacceptable. At any place of business I've worked, this would never be tolerated, regardless of that employees rank or time spent working there.

I have seen her mistreat other customers plenty of other times (I have a memory of a man approaching the register with a lot of items and upon seeing she was the only person there, he went and put back all the things he was going to buy and told his friend he wasn't going to do business with her because of her bad attitude), people have speculated before that she gets some "free pass" due to seniority or something. I've seen the other employees react to situations where she abuses the customers by just shrugging it off "oh that's just (name removed)". But whether or not she despises her customers, it is her JOB to provide CUSTOMER SERVICE. Maybe I am just wasting my time writing to your company about this since she seems to get away with everything, but maybe no one has actually taken the time to report one of these incidents before. I just really can't put into words just how upset and offended I am.

It's too bad because before this event your store was the first place I would go to for any of the goods that are sold there, and I was happy to be a regular customer who came in multiple times a day. I truly hope that someone will tell the trainee that this is a completely unacceptable way to treat your customers and that in the future no one is ever mistreated like this again. It was wrong on so many levels.

I would appreciate a response in regards to this incident. I am considering speaking to the general manager as well. Sorry if my letter was so long and wordy but it feels like words on a page don't really describe the magnitude of what happened or what it was like in the moment. Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,
(name removed)
"technically not even a customer and definitely no priority"

I totally agree! Customer service is not being told to the employees, by their leadership, that it is important! It has been said, and I know it to be true, "CUSTOMER SERVICE IS GOING TO BE REALLY BAD, ONCE THE BABY BOOMERS RETIRE" It is already happening, as you can see, in these emails, customers are being disrespected. If Corporate America, does not "get there heads out of their %&*@#, THEY are the ones that are going to lose.
"What is Corporate America waiting for?" Tell your employees that if they do not like people, and cannot say simple things, like Hello, Please and thank you, they should work in a cubicle!

SuperAmerica / Northern Tier Retail Horrible manager!!!

I have recently ended my 4 1/2 year rein as a pretty badass full-time 3rd shift Customer Service Rep at a Speedway. Your probably wondering why I would quit a full time job in this economy...thats pretty rare these days. Well people I couldn't take it anymore. I am a human being and there is a point in life when people push you to close to the edge and you just cant take anymore ### and you either collapse from the weight or explode(usually resulting in an office shoot-em-up episode). I have experienced this push off the edge from one manager by the name of Sharon(or as I like to refer to her as the demon spawn seedling of satans ###). This woman, I kid you not, has no soul and to my belief gets her jollies from belittling people and sneering at them from behind her sad excuse for a desk. She would spend most of her day standing at this desk and acting as though it was a giant throne on which only her very large buttocks can be stuffed onto. While I was working at this barely-passable excuse for an establishment I realized real quick how this woman functions. Basically if you piss her off (which in my case was requesting 1 day off 3 weeks in advance) she wouldn't say a word to you...she instead would make a mental note of what just occurred and develop such a scowl on her face that I'm sure had to be a bit painful. Later as she's filling out the schedule she would remember how you have allegedly wronged her and exact her revenge..in the ways of cutting your hours of course. But this is not the only way she would avenge herself...sometimes she just liked to look you in the face with her dead beady little eyeballs and tell you about how much of a ### job you do(keep in mind please that this chubby Sloth from The Goonies look-alike never actually cleaned or ran register or did anything). Another enjoyable pass time for her was to take you around the store and point out the areas where you should have sanitized or dusted..Im telling you she did the wipe the finger across the counter bit! But no amount of cleaning can subdue this horrendous ogre of hells fire...One night I got a bucket of scalding hot bleachy water and proceeded to scour every surface in the store until it was sparkling brighter than Mr. Cleans dome piece. When she arrived early that morning she began to screech at me about how I forgot to stock the cigarette cases while I was scrubbing the store. Needless to say after that day I stopped trying so hard and scooped up my last bit of self respect and started filling out job applications. This woman..if she could be called so...is a horrendous excuse for a manager. The fact that I still see her to this day squeezed into that black manager uniform infuriates me to the point that I could punch a youngling in the face and feel no shame.

SuperAmerica / Northern Tier Retail Misleads Customers

All the Louisville stores hang big signs that promises Marlboro cigarettes in stock or you get a $10.00 Gift Card. All the stores have since stopped stocking select types, an example is the Menthol Soft Packs. When I ask for a carton & they advise they are out of my selection, they refuse to give out the promised gift card. Then I ask for the gift card they advise they can not give it because they have other Marlboro selections for me to choose from. If they do not want to stock 'my selection', they should not mislead me by hanging the big sign with the promise on it. So this makes me have to go to another retailer that stocks what I prefer like Krogers.

SuperAmerica / Northern Tier Retail age discrimination

The speedway on state road 933 in south bend indiana was holding open interviews. The hiring age for any speedway is 18. Even if they sell alcohol the hiring age is still 18 you just can't sell it if you're under 21 so you can't work there alone. i dropped someone off at this speedway for an interview. this someone is 20 years old and will turn 21 in may. the human resources man, not a manager of the store, was the one to "interview" him. i put interview in quotations marks because his only lasted a few seconds. the human resources man asked his age and when he said he was 20 the man said good bye. that they don't hire people that age. well obviously i have already told you that that is untrue. thinking it was a misunderstanding i asked the human resources man if they were only hiring people that were 21 since i knew people at the store who were only 19 and had seen the other man who was holding interviews, an actual manager, seeing people who were obviously not 21 years of age. instead of just explaining to me whatever their reasoning was the human resources man decided to tell me it was none of my business and then attempted to ask me questions about the store, to make me feel stupid or something, unfortuently the human resources man did not know that i worked at a speedway and knew everything he was saying to be a load. the human resources man spoke down to me as if i was stupid and then tried to more so after he was proven wrong in what he was saying. so my complaint not only about what seems to me as random age discrimination but also why is a rude idiot the human resources man? A man that wasn't even able to tell me his states minimum wage? i wonder if his job was attained by promotion?...

SuperAmerica / Northern Tier Retail verbal abuse of employees

On numerous occasion I have witnessed as a Customer repeated verbal abuse with much profanity by a Owner/Management named Mike to his employees in front of many Customers.

He screams at them, belittles with much harassment when the employees are just doing there job.

The Guys & Gals that work there have always been kind, professional and a great asset to our Community and in no way, shape or form should have to put up with this abusive treatment.

SuperAmerica / Northern Tier Retail harassment

My son was recently fired from a super america . He was constantly targeted by the regional manager. So now he's fired and the regional manager is accusing him of all type of thief. The manager claims they have been tracking him for months, which is a bunch of lies. To add insult to injury, one of the shift leaders is telling all the local super america empolyee's about how much is stole, which is really BS.

I wonder if these ###s they have as managers realize the legal ramifications of slander and defamation, malicious prosecution and forced confessions.

I been working for speedway for 3 years I've been through 3 different stores and at least 6 managers everything your saying about speedway is true its a terrible company and the managers running the stores are idiots I just got wrote up for a no call no show because my manager accidentally wrote off on the schedule on the wrong day so the schedule says I'm off today but I'm being penalized for not showing up because my manager said I should have known she made a mistake because I didn't request that day off...makes no sense does it? But that's speedway what a great company huh?

SuperAmerica / Northern Tier Retail bad management

i was an employee for speedway super america for over a year. i went from being a csr to shift lead 1 then moved up to shift lead 2. i was told that i was doing a good job and that i ws co-manager potential. i would not have minded managing my own store one day. i liked my job and did all i could to please the customers. i had customeres that would only come to me and a strong team that never gave me any problems nor negative attitude. well turns out one day i had found a gas card outside in the parking lot and put it in my pocket. i know what i did was wrong and i will admit that to the very end. i should have turned it in and let that be that. well the regional and my manager called me in the office one day and asked me if i stole the card out of the office. i stated i DID NOT take it out the office you can look at the camera and see i found it outside. well i was told even tho it was found outside it was still speedway property and was i willing to make things right. i said i would tho if i went outside and got injured it would be on me not speedway. so i decided to make things right. he asked me again if i was telling the truth and i said yes i was. he then said i hope you are because i would hate for your son to grow up with the liars mentality. now there was no reason for him to bring my son up in this conversation and i stated very clearly do not bring my son up again, he has nothing to do with this. the regional steven then stated that he wass only making a comparison and i stated again do not bring my child up into this conversation. so they wasnted to suspend me saying i was an asset to the company and thus i decided to quit because not only did he mention my child which was inappropriate but there have been ongoing situations with the new manager. she was constanly downplaing the csr's. and told me screw the csr's i dont care about them at all. now in management you know that the csr's are what keep the store running when you are not there. so to treat and speak to them in such a fashion is very unprofessional. when this manager first came to our store she was constantly saying i dont know why im here, i hate this store, am i being punished, so on n so forth. right in front of the employees. that is not the attitude you want to present to your employees at all. so now her i am working in a store where all of a sudden everybody just wants to quit because they feel unappreciated. i was told to not ever schedule my manager to work with an employee because she cant stand her. i was also told by my regional that when the other sl2 speaks he wants to scratch his eyes out. what is that! how are you a regional and how are you a manager. now the rules state that managers are not to affiliate with workers outside work very clearly but here the manager is hanging out with her friend which she just had transferred from another store. they go out drinking and i hear of the fun times they had at the bar. so now i decide i quit. i do not want to work for a company that treats their employees this way. i have skills that will benefit any company. and that is what i have done i am working for a better company now. so now i have to go in to speedway and get my check stubs which legally they have to give me. i see my coworkers outside and so i stop to talk to them. i proceed to go inside and get my belongings and speak to my ex co worker for a moment and notice that the manager is now wispering under her breath to the same friend that she goes out with and they are looking at me while doing so. i pay them no mind. come to find out the co worker i was talking to outside got in trouble for talking to me later on that day. the manager checked the dvr and called the regional manager and then called her in the office stating she is not allowed to speak to me. which i dont understand since i do not work for the company anymore. and not only that they do not want me in the store because i may bring negative vibes to the store. now wwhen i was in there i had spoken to a long time customer and everything was ok. i was happy smiling never once bashing anybody in the store. so why am i being told that i cant come into the store that i had quit from because i might bring negative vibes? i cannot belive that this has happened and that such ignorance is allowed to run a store let alone a region. i will be making a complaint to the corporate office of speedway super america. i will not buy anything from speedway again if this is the way they choose to handle business.. this is disgusting behavior and i feel terribly wronged

I was fired from speedway in Indianapolis Indiana, northwest district
The managers are not considered or have any intergrity for employees.i was termindated by 2 male employess. The manager first response was her boys navered behaved like this
But i see them being disrespectful constantly. She overed to transfer me to anoither speedway. Tjat i just got fired from due to medical reason and documents. But still has several emplyees who called of with no excuse. I dont think they nevered cared for me because i do have a associate degree in hospitality management. Ifeel like i should have not told employees due to the education i have under my belt. They got me out of the company fast! General and co_managers are uneducated for some roles.

I was just about to finish training for Speedway. Throughout training, I watched videos, helped restock the shelves and cooler and watched my coworkers run the cash register. I had no problems with my coworkers or my managers, except the head one. She always had a sassy and snotty attitude and seemed the be the most bossy. However, when I was suddenly asked to use the cash register for the snooty one, I had no clue how to since I had no practice with it. It wasn't even a minute later that I was fired. She said I lacked confidence for the job and it wasn't meant for me. She never even offered any advice or a second chance even though we were short staffed as it was and we were about to have open interviews soon. It was not my fault at all, I never had an attitude and always did my best without question and always asked other coworkers if they wanted help. I even told her they never let me use the cash register before, in which she never even talked to the other manager about it either. She just showed up that day, and essentially fired me. The management seems to be a recurrent problem with this company.

Horrible company. Nice employees, but the managers lack professionalism. They abuse their employees. This company obviously don't care because i see the same 2 managers still there harassing employees, gossiping to other employees and customers. no appreciation for their employees. They don't get paid enough to endure that kind of abuse. Germantown, OH

I've worked for Speedway for 8 years and have had 5 managers. The first four were very good bosses that treated their workers fairly and like they were people. The one I have now is probably the worst boss I've ever had. This is how she treats her employees: She gossips to other employees about their co-workers, she gossips to customers about her employees, she insults her employees in front of customers, she is always very unhappy with everyone's work...even if their work is great, she continues to threaten to fire people, she manages with hostility and intimidation, she is constantly saying how stupid her employees are to anyone who will listen, she is always angry and her scheduling is unfair most of the time.
The scheduling is what I'm having a problem with right now. Since I started here, I have asked each manager for Sundays (or at least Sunday mornings) off so I can attend church. It's something that's very important to me and is a big part of my life. Each manager has given me the actual day off...including this one, until recently. The last two or three months she has started putting me on 2 or 3 Sunday mornings per month. I just found out she's doing it on purpose. So, I actually came on here trying to find out what my rights as an employee are. I did write a letter asking not to be scheduled until after 1 pm on Sundays so I could practice my faith. I haven't submitted it yet, but I'm going to. I will probably submit a copy of it to the district manager, as well. If anyone has any other suggestions, I'd be happy to read them.
I'm sorry to read about others who are having problems with management in this company.

SuperAmerica / Northern Tier Retail targeted for termination

I feel like my district manager targeted me for termination. He literally wrote me up for EVERYTHING and then would tell me that it wasn't a corporate need but a Blue Cube need. Whatever.

If you feel like you have been targeted by SuperAmerica please contact me at [protected]@yahoo.com

I feel that I was unfairly terminated and it occurs to me that I may not be alone in this problem.

SuperAmerica / Northern Tier Retail Kept giving me the run around without even knowing what i wanted

I went to speedway to fill up my gas tank. I put $15 in the tank, and the needle read that i was on half. I drove for all of 5 minutes before my car ran out of gas. I had to call i tow truck! As soon as I got home I checked it for leaks. No leaks, so I called the station to tell them about their faulty pump. I was put on hold for 30mins until they finally picked up the phone and told me the manger left at 1pm. I had called them at 12pm and it wasn't even 1 yet. They kept giving me the run around without even knowing what i wanted. I haven't been able to get a hold of any managers for 3 days. I called corporate and am now awaiting a response.

Lentz Usa gave out the redemption vouchers as a thank you gift. They paid for the vouchers and the customer paid nothing. Trouble is that the company in Florida that was to supply LENTZ USA with the cards was a scam. The Florida Attorney General closed down that Florida business for gooid, but left businesses like LENTZ USA holding worthless vouchers.

SuperAmerica / Northern Tier Retail Scam and cheating

Speedway is unfair to their employees. They tell you one day that your doing a great job, and the next they day tell you your fired! When they get a new manager at a particular store, the new manager is told by the District Manager to terminate all the employees that worked for the former manager. Even if they do nothing wrong.

All their camera's are pointed at the employees. When a customer does a drive off, the employee is written up for it, and most times fired for it. However they will also fire you for not authorizing the pump so the customer can do drive offs and get away with it. You are not allowed to chase the customer.

The district manager at the speedway in Sterling Heights added write ups to my file after I left, so I could not be re-hired. I had one write up in 2 years, when I left I gave a 30 day notice, and work all the days scheduled. Still I am unrehireable because district manager lied on my separation papers. She has sense been moved, but it doesn't change the fact that she lied, and when corporate gets a call for reference they can tell them that they won't rehire me, but can not tell them way. So I can't use them as a reference.

The regional manager was contacted and was told what the district manager was doing, he didn't care. He was told that as long as she was district manager the store would continue to lose business. He said it wasn't losing business! Sense then, the manager and the district manager and the regional manager have been replaced. The manager is gone because they lost to many customers.

They also use cheap bleach to clean their coffee pots. Drink at your own risk.

I worked down at Super America's corporate site doing a workgroup to domain upgrade. The CEO makes the contractors and employees SING THE COMPANY SONG! He is an obnoxious character. Also, the CIO under him who was my supervisor was extremely dishonest. I asked him if I could go to my bowling banquet on Monday. He said it will not be a problem. I informed him this would be the only time I would miss work. I left work after half a day. I said bye to the CIO. The next day I get a call from my staffing company saying I am removed from the 2 week project because I just got up and left.

I applied for a job at Speedway, I was called for an interview. The manager was impressed by my experience and decided to hire me on the spot. I went for the hand shake to seal the deal, when he looked down and seen my tattoos. In a split second he went from being the nicest guy in the world recognizing my experience and see me for the hard worker I am to seeing me as no good white trash because of my tattoos. I feel I was discriminated against but who could afford to fight a corporation over a minimum wage job? I just think people need to open there eyes YOU CAN'T JUDGE A BOOK BY IT'S COVER. I am a wonderful employee I was with my last job for over 17 years and I am only 38 years old. And the only reason I am no longer with that company is because it burnt to the ground., I feel cheated, and disappointed in

I currently work for speedway. I have been employed at 2 stores. My first store I loved it but now that I have had to change stores that's a different story. I have a manager that talks to us like children. That yells and cusses me all day long. She has her favorites for one employee its okay for them call off 15 min before they have to work and say there too drunk to drive, but for me my car broke down half way there and guess what i got... a write up. they wont call in our a/c beacuse it goes against managements bonus. Well i have a tattoo on my arm so i am required to wear a long sleeve shirt at all times, even when the air is broke and its 90+ degrees in the store. I get wrote up for taking off my shirt 1 time, but the lady on day shift never has to wear it, we also have a shift leader that doesn't cover hers. I am singled out on a daily basis. I bust my ### for that store for example, I had to mop the back room 5 times with BLEACH to get it clean and even then it wasn't the color it was supposed to be. I ruined my pants that night and was yelled at for 15 min for being 5 min late the next day due to having to buy new pants. God forbid you speak back to her too, shell cut your hours down to 10 per week if you don't agree. She will call you childish & immature and makes personal attacks everyday. Call the DM well he don't believe you, and like the person above me stated HR never calls back. The only thing speedway cares about is management. The only reason i still have my job is because I had to threaten to the Attorney Generals office b/c my manger tried to say i quit. I wasn't even at work the day she decided to claim this. Something needs done but yet, there's nothing you can do.

Wrote up for drive offs. It's bull because they won't make the pumps prepay because the customers complain. The same customers who are stealing thousands of dollars worth of gas every month! My manager comes to work whenever she feels like it and when she's mad at an employee she ignores them and doesn't speak to them for days and screws with their hours so they don't make any money. She has monthly meetings where she curses us out for hours about what we're doing wrong then contradicts herself and does the same things she writes us up for like coming to work late without calling. And they hired her to replace a manager who did the exact same thing! Speedway doesn't care about customers or employees we're all replacable to them. And call whoever you want to complain HR doesn't answer the phone or return your phone calls and the distirctanager will listen to you but do nothing about it

all i have to say is that this company is a sham... the district manager of the store i worked at is a a piece of [censor]. Customers saw how he treated some of the employees and would say [censor] while he was there... the pay i made was not worth the things i had to endure while working there. i did however met a lot of cool customers that i will miss now that i don't work there. I would not let even my worst enemy work at speedway superamerica...

and YES they do write you up for not getting a plate or anything on a drive off i got written up because of it... they preach to us about how the store has to be clean and if your not cleaning than your not doing your job but if you leave the front counter and you get a drive off and you dont get the info your [censor]ed..

so yeah.. thats all i have to say

I work for speedway right now, and they suck. They do use bleach on certain items, and they use an alcohol cleaning solution which makes the place smell like a hospital, I hate using it because it gives me and most of the customers a headache.

Also, you do get written up if you have a drive off. Sometimes even fired if the district manager is in the store when it happens.

I agree you don't get paid enough to put up with all the BS that comes with the customers and sometimes even the workers.

But I do not plan on working here long, just long enough to get my degree then I am gone! Thank God!

I work for speedway, and have never been written up. In fact this is the second time Ive worked for the company. They will not write you up for drive offs if you made an attempt to identify the person, car, or plate number of the car that drove off... If you cant give any description in, you were not doing your job. Cameras are always on cashiers for your safty... if you get robbed they will see who did it... they are also others in the store usually... if not the cameras that are on you also can pick up the rest of the store in a cross cross veiw. Also we can not use bleach in the store period! we only use osha approved cleaning materials that are delivered among our merchandise... get a clue, im sure you lost your job due to your performance...

I am not a manager, just a good working CSR... I do admit, they dont pay you enough to deal with all the ###, but in this day and age im glad to have a job...
