Super 8 cleanliness

We booked a a pet friendly room at the super 8 in Salmon Arm, British Columbia. The first gentleman at the desk for check in was absolutely amazing. Very proffesional amd welcoming. I later came back to the room as we were at a family reuniom because i needed a nap. I went to plug my phone and and behind the night stand there was garbage. Realized the floors were definitely not vacuumed. There was coffee spilt all over the wall. There was so much hair on the bedding. It was black. None of us nor the dog have black hair. The sheet was ripped. I went to the front desk and there was a new guy and i told him my worries that we better not be charged for this cause they never cleaned it. And we did not do that. He then tried to blame my dog. My dog hasn't been to the hotel as he was at the family reunion. When we did come back around 7pm i went to take a bath. The bathroom walls have brown marks all over them. The wall above the shove has mold! The under side if the toilet by the tank is also covered is mold. It is absolutely disgusting. I will never stay in a super 8 again and my family won't either. They are already telling everyone how gross this place is and it ruined it for all the other super 8's. Horrible experience. Would never reccomend to even my worst enemy to stay here.

Super 8 super 8 carthage mo room 117

I needed a room Just for a few hours to take a shower and catch a nap before work. I. Moved 3 hours away and haven't transferred to my new plant yet. So I work here and will be staying in a hotel for the next 4 weeks till my transfer date. So I got a room. Room 117. Drove around and got in it. First off it had a bad smell. But I had been up for 29 hours and needed some rest so I took a shower, used my own shirt to dry off with because every towel had stains... it looked very gross. I went to get in the bed and it was really hard. So I pulled back the sheets and it was only a box set... NO MATTRESS! So I laid down and tried to sleep. Super uncomfortable and I just got back up at 4am to get ready for work. Walking out of the bathroom I noticed something under the sink in the room... a molded big blob of wet drywall... that was the smell! MOLD! I rented a room, For 5 hours ish with no mattress and disgusting molded wet wall under the sink. I took a picture showed the lady at the desk she said sorry we have been so busy we haven't been able to deep clean... this isn't just needing cleaned, its disgusting, and a HEALTH HAZZARD! It is structural damage... the wall has damage and mold that doesn't happen over night! I had to find a different hotel to stay in for the whole month of July because I will not stay there again! I do have pictures, can't get them to upload on to this.

Super 8 hotel stay 6/9-6/10/2018 super 8 breaux bridge, la 70517

I was traveling, needed to rest, have used bookit.com, in past, I looked for hotels near me. This super 8 came up, as did the wyndam name, pictures looked ok. I did not have the opportunity to look up the reviews, my mistake!. I had a "bates motel" experience. I reserved the room via bookit.com, went into the hotel, noticed the outdated and miss mash interior, the employee said he had not received my reservation. I asked if I could use the restroom, he pointed at a he/ she room, it was messy. I certainly out and asked if could see this room, king size handicap non - smoking room. He gave me a key. I looked at the room, it was dirty carpet but the smell of mold was too intense, this I backed out and returned to the desk employee. I told him it was moldy and I am asthmatic. I asked for a void or refund, was told, "no refund!" so, I went to the next room, the smoke detector was covered in smoke residue, the carpet nasty and torn in places, the lamp shade had holes, the light fixtures we're peeling paint, stuffing coming out of the chair, sink light didn't work, cups not individually wrapped, the shower rod was coming out of the wall, the grime, was all in the shower, cob webs on the walls and ceiling, door did not seal you could see the light and an I k pen could fit from the door knob downward to floor, only the electronic key "lock" and a flimsy chain was my security provided by the hotel! I was afraid to bring in anything for fear of transporting something else. I slepted for a little over an hour in my clothes, with my gun. I asked another customer the next morning how his stay was at the bates motel, he replied they came very late too, but his wife refused to stay unless he got a gallon of bleach! I write this after being offered $25 from the manager of this hotel via bookit.com personnel through my complaint and bookit.com offered me $30 to "solve" the issue and the manager did not want me to say anything negative. Well, I had to suck it up that night, but my voice nor my concern for those folks who have less money than I and have more serious handicaps than i, may have small children, and none should be subjected to this type of conditions. I expected a simple, secure, clean, basic room. I got none of this if one element is missing then I received no value for my money/patronage. I should hope that if this business wants to run on your back/ name then wyndham being the ' parent' company you, too want the basics in hotel management to be presented for the market price. Do note, this hotel is in the boondocks, not a "happening" place, so don't be fooled by the price. This hotel is false advertising by using photos over 30 years old, and I am certain could not pass a simple safety inspection, much less a health inspection.

Super 8 super 8 north little rock, arkansas

Good morning. I made a reservation for Super 8 in North Little Rock for June 1 and 2. I said I have 2 dogs, one reason I have stayed at Super 8 is because of your dog friendly policy. Upon arrival, I decided to pay cash, was charged an additional $20.00 because of the cash payment. When I booked I was quoted a rate of $45.00 plus pet fee. I paid $177.00 cash. Recently received my credit card statement and it was charged $100.00, when I phoned the hotel, was told it was a pet fee for the 2 dogs. I understood my total included that and when paying cash I was not told of additional amount being owed, would have paid cash for that as well. There is no way that room with one bed was worth $277.00 for 2 nights. Please help solve this. I feel my credit card was charged unknowingly and I have paid more than my share for my stay. Super 8 I was double billed

I stayed at Super 8 White Creek, TN, checking in on Friday June 15 for 1 night for 2 adults. When I checked, in the gentleman changed our room so my mother would not have to climb stairs. When I checked out, I mentioned to the gentleman at the desk that I had been charged twice. He replied that the "hold" charge would be dropped and only the "pending" charge would be charged and that it would take a couple of days. As of Wednesday June 20 (4 days) both charges were charged to my bank account. I called the Super 8 & spoke to Jarmey (not sure the spelling). She sent me a copy of my bill (she sent 2 copies) and stated that they had only charged me for 1 night. Thursday I went to my bank and they informed me that Super 8 charged me twice. The one night was $69.91 and resulted in an overdraft which my bank charged my $35 overdraft.
I feel Super 8 needs to refund my extra night of $69.91 plus the over draft fee ($35).
My confirmation # when I made the reservation a few weeks in advance was 5136B42925718, on the receipt the confirmation # is 86010EC000596. I feel when the gentleman changed our room, he did not change the original reservation & that is why I've been charged twice. I have attached a copy of my reservation and a copy of the receipt given to me.

Super 8 spent one night there on 6/15/18!! had cold shower!!!

Called ahead to make a reservation! Got to motel about 11 pm after driving 14 hrs. All was good until I went to take my shower! Got in and the water from barely warm went to cold and stayed cold so have very serious health issues, rash, and urinary tract problems in which a shower helps but this was not the case, who wants to pay money to take a cold shower! Called the office about it and problem was not fixed! worst place ever at least other motels have hot water! Will not stay there ever ! Super 8 was super bad! Thanks, Charlotte Storm 1040 Castle Hill Dr. Avon Park, Fl. 33825 Was on this trip to my Dad's funeral ! what a huge disappointment !not even a warm/hot shower!

Super 8 hotel

I don't know what it is if I just have crappy luck choosing hotels but once again i barely arrived here about 30 min ago and my stay has been the worst ever. I walk in to check in and there r water roaches crawling on the floor and the ceiling lights. I get my room key open the door and someone else's belongings r in the room. I go down to tell front desk they give me another key for the room across and it doesn't open the door. Maintenance came over with his key still nothing maid came over and nothing. They say it's the batteries so they change them and still NOTHING! They determine the door needs reprogramming just leave with no time frame in which I will feel comfortable leaving my belongings in the room so I try to call the front desk and of course the phone doesn't work. It's now an hour later and I am still sitting here with my family which is waiting to go to sea world. If things weren't already bad enough the blankets had cigarette burns all on them, restroom looked like it had blood stains on the shower curtain and walls and to top it off there was a roach just hanging out on the night stand! This place is honestly disgusting and the only reason I stayed is bc they charged me 3 hrs before I arrived. This is unacceptable and should be brought to your attention. I am very angry and disappointed so far with wyndham! Please fix this or I can say with no doubt that I will no longer be using your hotel chain!

Super 8 super 8 in cartersville ga

Stayed there 2 nights last week and my girlfriend stayed one with me. We both are eaten alive with bed bugs from that hotel. Something will be done to satisfy me, and or im taking this to all social media and the news. Thank you for the bed bugs super 8. Not only is it me that is affected by this, but now my girlfriend and her children have been infected with the bed bugs spread by your hotel in Cartersville Ga. So what you plan on doing about this? Does my pain and suffering and embarrassment mean anything to you Super 8? I guess we will see. [protected]@gmail.com is my email address if you have the guts to respond to me!

Super 8 super8 black mountain nc

My complaint is about this Motel Super 8 in Black Mountain North Carolina the owners who seem to be Indian not so much the front desk agent thatt was there she try to help yesterday I had an issue with my credit cardi asked to sit in the lobby it took going back and forth back and forth over two and a half hours he proceeded to cancel my reservation and kick me out of the lobby by calling the police not one cop showed up but four over something simple that I wasn't bothering anybody and the front desk agent said I could sit there and resolve my issues so I can get my room I feel this guy was very rude this is probably not the first complaint you have heard but yes this guy was very rude and very unprofessional

Super 8 customer service

We left our $200 beats headphones in this hotel. We travel for a living and are unable to backtrack to get them. They were unwilling in every way to help us get our headphones back. We even offered to send a shipping label to have them sent to our house. The owner refuses to call us. On top of that the fat lady with the glasses refused to help us find the owner of the car blocking our trailer in and woke us up in the early hours to say we weren't even put on the computer. THEY ARE HORRIBLE PEOPLE

Super 8 hotel cleaning

We got to the hotel late and it took a long time to check in so to a reservation mixup finally got that straight and when we finally got ready for bed I pulled the blankets back there was hair and grass on the sheets and I went to the front desk she gave me a key to another room and hair in the bed and a hole in the sheets took the key for that room back up there and she gave me key to another room I tried it there were holes in the blanket on top I didn't needless to say we left after this and worst hotel experience the employees were nice but I'm sorry that is nasty no one wants to sleep In a dirty bed.

Super 8 service / front desk man on duty

I paid for reservations for my daughter to stay at this motel she is 20 years old.. Website say anyone 18 and over... I paid for check in to be 12:00 am she gets there he refused her a room said policy was 3:00 pm.. I understand but when I paid it was noted early at midnight.. And then had to pay a e tea night.. Then the man was very rude talked to my daughter like she was beneath him... And then when he was reminded on websitebit states 18 for person.. He made my daughter give a 50.00 deposit in case there's damage.. Which if u ha e credit card why need a cash deposit.. I reserved non smoking room he said there wasn't any.. Basically he did everything to try and refuse her a stay! I thought reservations is to be made so you don't have problems!.. He made my daughter wait over an hour before she could check in and get a stinky room! Which I must say this is horrible! She drove from springfield wv.. To st. Louis. On he way to kansas.. I reserved this room so she could rest! I now will never do this here again! But I am making a complaint because who ever this guy is needs a new job! He treated her horribly.. He took off his name tag when I wanted to know who his manager was.. Which he stated janet.. You need to do a check on this place very horrible stay! I wish I didn't pay a dime! Super 8 room was filthy & I want a refund!

My family & I stayed 1 night 6/16/18 in room 210. The refrigerator had melted ice cream that had leaked to the bottom & the ice cream was still in the freezer. Clearly it had never been cleaned. We had to use an ice chest to keep our food in. The bathroom was dirty & had mold in the shower. There was a dirty sock (that did not belong to us) by the bed that I accidently grabbed with my bare hand while trying to find the remote! The pool had chunks of tile/concrete missing from the sides where my kids had to walk. The staff was rude and not helpful at all. The night shift desk person just sat at the desk and ate cereal (from the breakfast bar) and would duck into the back room any time a customer was coming through. Finally, as we were getting ready to leave, my daughter and I started noticing what we thought might have been mosquito bites on our bodies. Little red, itching places all over. I am a Registered Nurse and these were bed bug bites! I have had to thoroughly clean my car, my house, and all of our things to ensure that the bugs did not end up in our home. I will never stay nor let anyone I know stay at a Super 8 again! I feel that returning my money is more than fair after the nightmare our family has been through! My confirmation #87222EC000982

Super 8 unsatisfied

We chose to stay at the Super 8 at Bonner Springs, KS and we felt good upon arriving the outside of the motel. Checking in was not a problem. However we stayed on the 4th floor and the elevator was gross and stunk. We get on the 4th floor a non smoking and it smelled of stale smoke horribly. It made me sick at my stomach every time we left our room. The fridge smelt horrible and did not look very well cleaned. We had a king suite and had to make our own pull out bedding, which to me should have already been done. Every time the exhaust fan was turned on in the bathroom it smelt of stale smoke. Again not a pleasant smell period. The ice machine hardly worked and was only able to get maybe a cup or so of ice and that was not that much at all and it had a horrible taste to it. We called the front desk and asked for pillows and I was put on "hold" for a moment when the phone was just set down and the front desk employees or I am assuming it was them were laughing loudly and talking and then was only able to offer me one pillow when requesting three. We do not get out much and when we do I would like where we spend our money to be in a clean environment for the price we pay. I am requesting a refund at this point as it was a complete waste of our money. A non smoking room should not smell of smoke.

Super 8 overnight room stay

We stayed overnight at Super 8 in Belen, N.M. on June 11th, 2018. The room was dirty, a large old food wrapper was under the bed and several day old salad was still in the refrigerator. The bathroom sink was pulling away from the wall and the carpet appeared to be filthy and in immediate need of replacement, not just cleaning. I used to stay in Super 8 motels whenever possible during my traveling days. This was, without hesitation, the worst hotel/motel I have ever stayed in. I will never stay in a Super 8 motel again. I'd rather sleep in the parking lot in my car. Horrible experience...Pls. look into this if you intend to stay in business...Don Roll, Englewood, Co.

Super 8 check in/out

I checked in at 3:30am Saturday morning for TWO days the guy told us our check out was on MONDAY AT 11AM . He charged us for TWO nights to stay there for only ONE. When I asked the lady about it she got rude and make me feel like it was MY fault that the guy gave me false information. This is the super 8 in HARRISON OHIO. if I would of known that I was paying for TWO nights just for one I wouldn't of stayed there! I want my money back for the second night bc we only stayed there a night and was asked to leave! And if I don't get my money back for the second night I will see you guys in court. Super 8 credit card swiped twice

On June 8th 2018 I reserved a room through Hotwire and went to Super 8 motel in Midvale Utah. I had a confirmation and gave it to the clerk to check into my room. For some reason or another he asked me for my credit card swiped it and I was charged for the room again. The clerk told me in order for me to get my money back I needed to wait for it to be placed back on my credit card. I still have not gotten my money put back on my credit card. I called my credit card company and they have informed me that no money has been released therefore I cannot get that money put back on my card. I need to be reimbursed. Also, I don't know why the clerk swiped my card in the first place when I had already given him a confirmation from Hotwire. I reserved the room for Brianna Anderson and it is her card that has been done wrong for the money. I feel that some compensation is in order. A few days or nights I should say of stay in one of your hotels here in Salt Lake City should makeup for the mistake. Please get back to me as soon as possible. Why he swiped Brianna's card is beyond me. It almost seems as if the money was stolen. Help us to not feel victimized. Furthermore I would like to thank you for your time and respectfully on June 8th 2018 I reserved a room to hotwire and went to super 8 motel in Midvale Utah. Super 8 unethical behavior!!!

I was traveling to visit my daughter. I stopped at a Super 8 in TN, at the exit 1 from I&% (Chattanooga).

Earlier in the day I had picked up one of those hotel coupon books at the Tennessee welcome center, to plan my overnight stay. The coupon for this hotel location stated that the charge would be $41.99. For 1-2 persons. It did say I had to have the coupon at check-in. Not valid during holidays (it was NOT a holiday) or special events. And it expired 7/31/18.

At check in I informed the desk clerk that I had the coupon, and asked him if I needed to cut it out of the coupon book and submit it. He said I did NOT need to do that. He gave me no further information about the validity of the coupon, so I assumed that I would be charged the advertised rate.

However, when I checked out in the morning, the rate was $69.99 nearly THIRTY DOLLARS more than the coupon rate. I told the desk clerk I had the coupon, and she informed me that there was apparently some sort of "special event" going on that invalidated the coupon!

Now, I am VERY UNHAPPY about this. If the evening desk clerk had so informed me, at least I would have had the opportunity to decide if I wanted to stay, or go to another hotel in the area, or even drive further that day. But he did not, which I guess is the invoice number fr my stay. theinform me.

I want you people to send me a check fr the $28 difference in the charge, from what the advertised rate on the coupon was, to what I had to pay!

And, I feel you should train your help better, so that they will advise prospective guests of any situation that would invalidate a coupon, not just say, well OK, , , , , and let the customer believe they were receiving the discounted rate.

The date of my stay was (check in) June 7, and (check out) June 8.

Super 8 filthy rooms, rude staff

Horrible experience. I will never come back here. No parking on site— huge pain! When we checked in they said there wasn't any parking available at the moment. Really!? So we waited for almost 20 minutes while they tried to "figure it out." Then they tried to put us in a sketchy lot behind a Subway across the street and conveniently there were no spots availbale. So we went back to the unfriendly front staff and, after waiting some more (with small children), they finally put us in a garage next door (40 minutes after we first went to check in, we finally got parking and into our room). But that wasn't the worst of it. The room was dirty (hairs on the floor, cigarette butt on balcony, filthy baseboards and walls) and no wash clothes at all or enough towels for the number of guests staying in room. When we called for more towels, they never came. We called a second time and they never came. The room was old and looked like it hadn't seen a renovation in decades. Staff was unprofessional and rude.

Super 8 service

Well for one the front desk clerk wasn't any help when it came to 10+ people staying outside our room talking and laughing loudly. Talking about there was nothing she can do because they just checked in, I have worked in the hospitality industry and I know for a fact no matter what if a guest has a complain against any other guest they are suppose to go and give them a warning about the complain, she did none of that, so we got a refund and left to go to another hotel where they handle situations like that. We have stayed there before and never had a problem until recently. Where people are fighting in the rooms, people are running down the hall in the middle of the night, people are blasting music at 1 or 2 in the morning. Cops has been there more then I can count due to noise disturbance and people smoking marijuana in the rooms and people has complained about it due to people bringing their kids into this hotel. One time my mother and I was leaving to go get something to eat and the whole hotel smelt like marijuana. When we come back from getting some food the police was there with the k-9 unit using the dog to sniff out where the smell was coming from the smell was so strong that they could not pin point where the smell was coming from like almost everybody there was smoking away in their rooms. Then when you book online for a room you have a front desk clerk telling you that they were fully booked the other day and that they didn't have any rooms available and that the housekeeper didn't come in until 9am and that was the time we showed up to check into our room, but she said would have to wait until 11:30 or 12. So we cancel that reservation and went to another hotel. As we were leaving we saw that the parking lot only like 4-6 cars. So when we got to the other hotel my mother called super 8 and act like she was someone else and the woman told her that there were a few rooms available and she didn't have to wait to get checked in! That was 20mins after we left for the other hotel. Then on top it off we have found a roach in our bathroom and when ask for another room he was trying to charge us $10 extra for that instead of giving us our money back and giving us a free night! Pretty this hotel started off good and then went down quickly.
