We have been banking with Suntrust for over 30 years, and Suntrust don't give a rats tail about any of their valued clients. Well where do I start about all the rude, unfair, bunch of idiot's high up that make all the decisions on charging 35.00 on people if their 1.00 minus before their check clears. All the decision makers are out playing golf and using money that's not their's living the good life. They need to be stuck in the ### like all their so called valued customers.
Our daughter changed bank's because of the rip offs, STEALING money that IS NOT their's.
I get paid once a month and it get's tight toward the first of the month, and Suntrust took 35.00 because I was 17.00 minus before I made my deposit. That is STEALING...
Oh not to mention when I was building my house they were my best friends when I was depositing 40, 000. in our building account. In all 317, 000.00. Suntrust enjoyed using my money, but when all was said and done, when things got tight, Suntrust took so much NSF's it was sick. I even called to see if they could take these off and they said they could only take one off. That is a bunch of B S. Even that over draft protection is a bunch of B S.
I will be changing banks, after almost 30 years of banking with Suntrust. And I make lots of deposits, but no more of Suntrust STEALING my hard earned money. Suntrust is rich from taking people's money for NSF's. Ever who made this decision to do this to people, and I know it come's from high up there from the board of Suntrust. I would love to talk to one of the owner's of Suntrust. Or even better I would like to change position's with them, and let them see what real work is that a real man does. Even getting their hand's and finger nails dirty.
To make a long story short, I could go on and on, these NSF's should be done away with. Because that is absolutely STEALING PEOPLE'S MONEY!
That's only one thing mistake's made screws up people's account's to. And I know money has been took out of my account someway also. I made a 17, 000.00 deposit and I kept up with every cent, but my balance and Suntrust's balance was ungodly incorrect, but Suntrust can alway's make themselves come out alway's correct.
I have no respect for this Suntrust Company. They are SCAMMER'S and STEALER'S.
I will give this Company the worst name of everyone I come across.
Not to mention we had 4 account's there. No more though I'm done with this RIP OFF company...
I will be closing all my account's there this week.

The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Someone hacked my account and overdraw it by $1400, I contacted SunTrust to let them know. They were supposed to freeze the account. A few days later while they were supposed to be conducting the investigation someone remotely deposited two $900 checks. I called first thing in the morning. My disability benefits were direct deposited on the first of the month and and they took all my money. I keep trying to explain to them if i was gonna deposit fake checks why would i call and tell you, nowing i have disability checks coming. Now I am being evicted because they denied my claim. This bank is a big RIPOFF!
I just got taken for $262.00 dollars. I was in the positive 26 dollars and a lot of charges that were cleared all of a sudden came through again. The website is a joke. One day it says all my charges have cleared the next, that they are pending, then the next day I had .29 cents and the next day 200+. Very shady things going on with this bank. I'm all in if anyone wishes to do a Class Action Lawsuit.
I am having a big deal with suntrust. I have a very small business account there. I deal with wholesalers, that I have to use my debit card with. They place my order and the charges go into my pending transactions. The wholesalers may though out the order processing, debit and credit their charges per their inventory and shipping of items. Awhile this is going on it wacks out your balance in your account. If they charge your account accidentely or typo an debit charge, and it goes into your pending transaction, on your account and the funds are not there they charge fee. Then the next day the merchant voids the transaction and it drops off your pending transactions. Suntrust now has nsf fee at your expense.. My husband has a small business as well and banks with the Susquehanna Bank and has none of these problems.. Suntrust is a rip off... also have an issue with them taking fees out of the bank that are not there. Allowing charges to your account that the funds are not there. I had an unauthroized transaction from an wholesaler and they allowed the fee to go through even though I did not have the funds in there. Paying the higher charge above the smaller one, I in returned occured two nsf funds. I am changing banks and would not recommend suntrust to anyone, they are getting as bad as Bank Of America.. Class action lawsuit coming soon I can see it.
Bad banking business and bad faith for the customer. All banks now use the same practice to manipulate and move debits and credits to their advantage. They hold all transactions until the end of the day using the smallest to largest debits posting first then the credits with the end result that NSF will result. The banks are making their money this way stealing from the average person that lives paycheck to paycheck and doesn't have the money to cover. Then they delay sending notices and also charge a fee per so many days for being overdrafted.
The government needs to be made aware of this and a law enacted to govern this problem. Transactions should be recorded according to the order in which the transactions were made (in real time) this would prevent this excessive and outrageous practice of stealing from the customer.
Same Here I have been with them for 10 years. They over drafted me for 6 items and I put money in the night before, but still STOLE $216.oo from me the next day. Dont go to SUNTRUST because all you will get is SUNBURNT!
you dam right they just bounced me twenty itemsfor being 4.00 short and not willing to budge 1 dime back thank god ive have only had them for a year all these banks are the same way they bounce you even when you still have pending items if i have items pending dosent mean they are going to go through but them money sucking M.F.CAN SUCK MY D@##
I am dealing with the same thing with SunTrust. They now charge $36 for overdraft fees. Since March 1, I have given SunTrust over $1, 000 in penalty fees for about $200 in transactions. Total rip off. I am closing my account as well. I am a small business owner and when the economy was good, I was depositing $25K - $30K a month and they would not even give me a business loan. I'm closing my account as well.
