I ORDERED A SUNBEAM ELECTRIC SMOOTH SURFACE RANGE FROM AJ MADDISON A YEAR AGO...I PAID THROUGH THE NOSE FOR IT TOO. IT CAME AND WAS SET UP AND I WAS THRILLED...THEN I COOKED ON IT AND IT'S BEEN A DISASTER EVER SINCE. THE OVEN BURNS OR UNDERCOOKS EVERYTHING AND EVEN THE LOWEST SETTING ON THE BURNERS BOIL. YOU CANNOT SIMMER AT ALL. NEEDLESS TO SAY I CONTACTED THE COMPANY THROUGH PHONE CALLS AND EMAILS. THEY GAVE ME THE NUMBER OF THE LOCAL REPAIR THEY USE. I CALLED AND WAS TOLD THEY NO LONGER DID REPAIRS FOR AJ MADDISON...SO I CALLED AND EMAILED MORE TO NO AVAIL. FINALLY I CALLED A LOCAL REPAIR SERVICE HERE AND PAID FOR A SERVICE CALL. ONLY TO BE TOLD THEY COULD NOT GET PARTS FOR THIS 1 YR. OLD STOVE...I NEED NEW THERMOSTATS FOR THE OVEN AS WELL AS THE STOVE TOP. HE SAID I MAY BE ABLE TO GET THEM THROUGH SUNBEAM DIRECTLY BUT THAT THE OVEN ONE IS APPROX. $300.00 AND HE DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT THE COOKTOP PRICE...PLUS SHIPPING, PLUS SERVICE CALL, PLUS LABOR...I AM BEYOND FURIOUS...IT WILL BE CHEAPER TO GET A NEW STOVE. WHY DO THESE COMPANIES CONTINUE TO GET AWAY WITH THIS? DO I HAVE ANY RECOURSE HERE? HELP PLEASE
