Subway coupons

Went to this subway to buy dinner for my wife and presented
2 coupons; one for 3 cookies for $1.00 and one for 50 cents
Off a 6 inch sub. When getting to the cashier, which did not
Know her head from her foot, she asked mgr or owner how to
Ring it up. |the mgr or owner, whichever he was decided to
Tell me he could not take but one coupon at a time. We are
Talking 50 cents for one coupon and 39 cents for another. No
Only was he a inconsiderate person, he was rude. There was
No sign saying one coupon at a time, so I left the sandwich and
He even kept the coupons. You do not have to worry about me
Or the people with me about going back to any subway ever.

The cash register won't let you do two discounts at once anyways. Pretty sure it's a subway thing and is the same everywhere.

The coupons themselves say that you can only use one at a time. It's only a few cents, but it's the principle of the thing. If they let you use two, they won't get reimbursed for it (no big deal, right? it's only a few cents) But if they let you use two then they have to let everyone use at many as they want. this could result in huge losses. There's a reason why the coupons say only one at a time.

I'm also sure he didn't "keep the coupons, " what's he gonna do with them? he works at a Subway, he doesn't need coupons, he gets his food cheaper (or free) anyways. You probably left them as you ran out with your cheap tail between your legs.
I love how you downplay "just a few cents" but find those few cent important enough to leave a sub over.
Again, proof it's not about the money to the management. They lost more money throwing away the sub you left than they would've accepting the coupons. There are rules for a reason and *shocker!* we all have to follow them.

I hate getting cheap, stupid customers who feel entitled to everything. You probably asked for a free cup of water with your sub too 9and would've tried to sneakily fill it up at the fountain machine when the worker's back was turned)

I'm glad you've sworn off Subway so that I will never have to serve you.

I used to work at a Subway and on all the coupons it should say only one coupon at a time.

Subway manager that dont care

They need a new anager at the clarion subway. They are so disorganized its rediculous. They have employees there that are good and should be in charge. The manager that is in charge now is worthless. She never scheduals enough ppl on their busy days and too many ppl on their slow days. Does this make sense. Their cookies are always too hard or too gooey. They have some employees that dont wash their hands. They accual have an employee that just started and she coughed on her hands and then gloved. Discusting. There are two workers there who try and make my visit pleasant when I come in. One is always courteous, makes my food great, has a good attitude no matter how busy, always smiling, always about what I want, very patient, and controls the night kids really well when shes there. Im not sure what her name is. She has long blonde hair. Then there is a high school boy that is very courteous and has a pretty good attitude. Not sure his name either but overall a well mannered kid. He gets a little frustrated but I prolly would too if I was stuck working by myself from 7 to 1030 without help and when I called for help the manager wouldnt come in. The manager doesnt care. I have heard her on a number of occasions say I dont care. Im looking for a new job any way. They dont pay me enough. She leaves when they are busy at 12. She never smiles. We quit eating there for a while during the day bc she is kind of rude to customers and employees. If I was doing a review for this store I would definetly say that the manager should not have a job. I as an owner would not want a manager that acted this way. I would not want a boss that did not care. I thought the two ppl that were good should be recognized and if I knew their names they would be in this paragraph. Thank you to the two employees at clarion subway for your courteousness to me and my husband. The manager needs to shape up or ship out.
Thanks
Sincerely
Whitney

Sounds like a person with an axe to grind. Hm maybe a "current empolyee" or a "past employee". My advice is...move on and get spell check:) You are the one looking really bad right now. Too much inside information, for this to be legit. Look out Manager, it looks like someone wants your job bad.

Hey! That is absolutely not true. Get your facts right. $8 is old pricing, plus you haven't even added delivery charges and gst. I love Subway AMK and I go there with my friends very often. Great food, always freshly baked cookies.

Subway predatory franchiser!

I've been involved with the subway chain for a long time. They used to be legitimate, but over the years I have seen drastic changes. Today subway headquarters (aka doctors associates, inc.) is the worst bunch of crooks and con artists in the industry, and they are ruining store owners lives. Much of this can be verified on line by following the links to published documents, articles, congressional reports, forums and court hearings.

Read fortune magazine archives on how this chain led by president fred deluca has caused a record number of unhappy franchisees, defrauded landlords and violated laws. Discover why after a six year study, u.S. House of representatives' dean sagar concluded: "subway is the biggest problem in franchising and emerges as one of the key examples of every abuse you can think of." says cliff marshall, a franchise consultant for more than 30 years: 'if anyone in my family ever asked whether they should buy a subway, I would say absolutely not, no way. A subway franchisee who asked to remain anonymous for fear of retaliation said the system "is a total mess." go here learn more: http://nextraterrestrial.com/pdf/FDeluca-Fortune%20March%2016%201998.htm

Learn how deluca violated connecticut's unfair trade practices act by pressuring independent sfaf board members to block owners he didn't like from running for office. Apparently he has no respect for legal statutes or fair play. Go here to learn more: http://franchisepundit.com/index.php/2005/05/28/what-to-learn-from-this-subway-lawsuit/

Read how deluca's franchise agreement forces owners with a legitimate grievance to submit to arbitration where there is no jury, few rules, and the outcome is binding. Arbitration companies compete ferociously for subway's business and deluca knows how to stack the deck in his favor. Florida attorney keith kanouse says, "i've seen over 300 franchise agreements, and subway's is the worst." go here to learn more: http://franchisepundit.com/index.php/2005/07/05/subways-deluca-loses-battle-with-franchisees/

In a perfect example of poetic justice, the wall street journal recently announced that deluca lost a nasd arbitration claim, in which he alleged the ubs caused him $193 million in damages. Not only did the deluca trusts fail to recover any of their losses, they also were ordered to pay $50, 000 to reimburse ubs for document-production costs. Store owners were delighted to hear deluca got a taste of his own medicine, but some worry that it will only fire his drive to abuse them more. Go here to learn more: http://markjakubik.com/2007/07/10/subway-founder-loses-nasd-arbitration-not-a-big-surprise/

If you think subway owners make good money, think again. A store owner in the us nets less than $26, 600 in profit, barely above the poverty level for a family of five. To earn a decent income, they must often work 60 to 70 hours a week and invest in multiple stores. The main problem is encroachment of stores. Even with more than 28, 000 subway's already open, they keep building more. The result? Average revenues per store are down some 8% from when they peaked way back in 1994! Go here to learn more: http://books.google.com/books?id=yNFN1OpnkBkC&pg=PA100&lpg=PA100&dq=subway+franchisees+lowest+paid&source=web&ots=l-dgtBas1-&sig=Of1ObbDdfXuZsckQcO2Vp54RAV4&hl=en

Consultant marshall estimates that 25% of franchisees are unhappy and suffering, while about 40% are "just getting by and making a few dollars. Barely a third are happy and doing fine, though many of those owners are also development agents who control the number of competing subways in their vicinity." steve sager, a departed subway agent estimates that half the franchisees in the northeast are suffering. What does deluca have to say about this? "it bothers me that people lose money, but I don't lose sleep over it. This is america." I imagine deluca and co-owner peter buck sleep pretty soundly indeed, both being ranked by forbes as the 207th richest men in america. Go here to learn more: http://www.forbes.com/lists/2005/54/BNPG.html

For most people, reaching billionaire status would be enough, apparently not for deluca. He recently rewrote the franchise agreement, stripping owners rights and doubling already inflated royalty fees for stores out of compliance of written guidelines. It also eliminates protection against encroachment, encouraging development agents to stack stores. He even added a loophole to take back the lucrative subway advertising trust which he vested to owners decades ago. Owners can't renew their agreement or open a new store unless they agree to the new terms. Almost immediately field inspectors began bloating corporate profits through increased compliance fines. Ignoring past policy, inspectors now mark owners out of compliance in several areas for each deficiency! Go here to learn more: http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m3190/is_23_40/ai_n16463127

Even more unconscionable, deluca devised a scheme to rip off owners by claiming high internal loss is royalty theft. Using proprietary software, he sniffs out owners suffering from excessive shrinkage and forces them to undergo intense internal audits. Owners who can't account for every portion of lost, wasted or stolen meat are labeled thieves and fined up to $50, 000! Those who fight deluca's illicit attacks are threatened with criminal prosecution or store seizure. Coincidentally, "shrinkage", a term prevalent in the restaurant industry has been stricken from the subway training curriculum since deluca's royalty theft crusade began. Go here to learn more: http://subwayfranchisee.blogspot.com/2005/04/compliance-issues-at-subway-real-or.html

What help can store owners who suffer from chronic shrinkage or compliance problems expect? Does deluca offer additional training and support to help them get their losses under control and their stores back into compliance? Just the opposite. He dangles eviction notices over their heads and charges them huge fines! The u.S. Small business administration even stopped lending to subway owners until deluca removed a contract clause that gave him the power to seize any store without cause. Go here to learn more: http://nextraterrestrial.com/pdf/FDeluca-Fortune%20March%2016%201998.htm

Franchisees fear that deluca may have bolder plans to cannibalize the chain. For years he pressured owners to abandon cash registers in favor of computer pos systems, despite dependability issues and a higher cost to own. When he encountered resistance, he simply ordered pos systems mandatory. Then he required all owners to connect their pos systems to headquarters, giving deluca access to every store's transactions. Using his custom software to monitor stores chain wide, now deluca can efficiently target owners ripe for royalty theft audits and spot inspections, boosting corporate revenues. Go here to learn more: http://storefrontbacktalk.com/story/081006Subway.php

Deluca appears intent to use more new technologies against franchisees. Some owners suspect that the subway technology department's pet video surveillance vendor dtt usa has conspired to help deluca spy on owners through live camera feeds being installed in stores. If deluca can tap into ring ups and video evidence then use it against them, they might as well kiss any hope of a profitable future good by. Is this the reason deluca's new contract gives him full rights to transmitted data? If you're a subway owner, here's a hot tip; if it seems every time you have a minor compliance violation, a field inspector mysteriously shows up on your doorstep for a spot inspection, big brother is probably watching! If this happens to you, obtain a copy of your dsl provider's server logs and have them scrutinized by an ip expert. If you are being spied on, take your findings immediately to the fcc or your state attorney.

Want more proof that subway corporate is corrupt? Investigate subway's legal beagle leonard axelrod (nicknamed lenny the ax), the architect of subway's contracts. You'll have to dig deep, the evidence is buried. If you're diligent, you'll uncover how axelrod was disbarred for brainstorming a scheme to defraud landlords. An illinois appeals court concluded that there was 'overwhelming' proof that subway had committed "far reaching fraud". An illinois jury awarded a landlord $10 million in punitive damages after concluding that subway had defrauded him. Deluca spent $1.3 million to resolve 72 similar claims. Go here to learn more: http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m3190/is_n49_v29/ai_17847096

Once landlords wised up to subway's shell game, axelrod brainstormed his dirtiest trick; a way to skip arbitration by signing leases with landlords and then subletting stores to unwitting franchisees, unaware they were being used as de facto landlords. This way subway can quickly evict a store owner in a lease dispute and deluca is off the hook for the balance of the 20 year lease. An illinois court has called the eviction/ arbitration provision "unconscionable". Go here to learn more: http://nextraterrestrial.com/pdf/FDeluca-Fortune%20March%2016%201998.htm

What effect has deluca's predatory actions had on the subway chain? At a recent franchise convention & trade show, it was all too obvious. Attendance and morale were at an all time low. Store owners sulked by, all emotion drained from their faces, not unlike holocaust survivors. Some wore shirts printed with "I survived a dai audit". They huddled in small groups, searching for some relief from this nightmare. Sadly, subway was once the greatest opportunity in the industry. Today it's just the greatest con job in the industry.

If you're a subway franchisee and believe you've been victimized, your franchise contract prevents you from litigating, but you can take your complaint to your state attorney. Many states are moving towards franchise reform laws, some have already passed legislation. At the very least I urge you to post a report on complaintsboard.com. Their posts are monitored by numerous law firms around the country. Your identity will remain confidential but will allow them to contact you in the event a class action suit or criminal complaint is imminent. Any criminal act that subway staff may be guilty of negates the arbitration clause you are currently bound to. If you're considering joining any franchise, do your homework first! Predatory franchisers are popping up everywhere, forcing states to enact anti-predatory franchise reform laws.

I thought slavery has ended in the USA a long time ago but being a subway franchise owner is a 21th-century slave. The field consultant will constantly harass you every month and the subway HQ will send you the termination letter based on the compliance issues time to time to harass you no matter how hard you work. You spend all your money, put all your hard work, fix everything on your own expense and these [censored] come and evaluate you. Now the good thing is that subway is in decline at a faster rate, they have closed 909 stores in 2017, almost 1000 in 2018, results of year and years of exploiting and harassing its franchises. Glad that I will be soon out of subway slavery.

I work at the Skyline Towers and I went this morning to get a steak and cheese sammich on flatbread. Mind you its 8:00 in the morning so its cleary still breakfast. They have this sammich listed as 3.99. When I go to checkout, the lady says 4.50. Being somewhat savvy on taxes, I asked why the tax was 50 cents. She said the sammich went up. I asked for a copy of the receipt and the sammich price came up at 4.29 then with the tax took it to 4.50. I yelped because that is false advertisement. She was mad and said the sammich went up but they forgot to change the price, whose fault is that, surely not mine. I requested to have the difference back even if it was only a few cents and she just opened up the register and gave me back 50 cents. So she would rather get me outta there, than give me proper change. She basically charged me 3.98 for the sammich as the list price with no tax, so her register is going to come up short.

Not really pressed, but these companies are making a fortune off of our backs and they already overcharge, but to not even change the sign is so misleading, and everyone is always in such a hurry that they pay. Not the kid. Never going back down there again. They are crooks. Managers name is Moofi. Figures.

I visited Subway on 9901 New Kings Rd. on11/17/13 at 1:26pm which my receipt showed 10:26am an ordered a foot long steak, egg and cheese and was charged for extra meat. When I asked the lady (Erin) why she only put 1 tray of meat on my foot long she replyed that the foot long only got 1 tray of meat and not 2. As well as 1 and a half egg. Which as much as I eat Subway I know that you receive a tray of meat per 6" sub. That was not the only reason for my complaint. There were 7 people in the store only 1 server she keep using the same glove on her right hand. She didn't acknowledge anyone when they came into the store. Once I got my sub I went to get my drink and the ice had black specks in it. The Dr. Pepper nozzle had crud on it as well so I had crud and specks of mold in my drink. When the other employee came into the front of store the other employee went to the back. Both employees were not pleasant nor nice as the other stores I've been to. this will be brought to the attention of the home office.

On December 29, 2012, I visited one of your establishments at 50 SE 20th Avenue in Deerfield Beach, Florida, at approximately 3:10 p.m. I ordered a double chicken salad. Once I sat down, I discovered the chicken had been warmed up, which melted the cheese, and there was too much salad dressing for my liking. So, I approached the cash register where I told the gentleman the issues and that the salad would have to be remade.

He didn't even address me and turned immediately to the girl next to him making subs and told her the situation. She then told the girl who made the salad at which point I heard, “She didn't tell me she didn't want the chicken warmed up.” My first question to you is, why do I need to tell her? Shouldn't she be asking the customer their preference in the first place?

The manager of this location, whose name I cannot reveal, as he would not divulge this information, so for all intensive purposes, he will be named “Bob”, heard the commotion and asked what the issue was, addressing me in a very unfavorable manner. He completely dismissed the issue at hand and simply stated, “This is a Subway policy and the chicken has to leave our hands to the customer hot”. How this pertains to having the salad remade, I'm not quite sure.

Bob then turned away and continued making incoming customers' subs. After a few minutes of being ignored, I spoke up and asked the cashier if they were planning on remaking the salad or to just ignore me, their customer, all day. Bob began a shouting match with me, telling me that he told me to wait while they served other customers and said to me, “You're a rude person and I don't deal with rude people. I told you to wait, so why don't you go home and get some training on how to be nice.” This was quite hurtful and disappointing to hear.

As someone who worked in the service industry for more than a decade, I'm sure you know as well as I that you never talk to a customer or client like that, even if they are in the wrong. His job was to diffuse the situation and fix the issue. All he had to say to calm the situation down was, “Sorry about that. We'll get your salad remade once we clear up this line of other customers.” It would have been that simple, but he continued to belittle me and behave condescendingly in front of the other patrons by first offering me a refund and then refusing to give me a refund stating that he does not “take commands from rude people or give refunds to rude people”. Bob got so frustrated that he threw out my salad and even told me leave.

He then ignored me, even after I asked, “Are you giving me a refund or are you remaking my salad?” He said NOTHING and continued to cash out other customers UNTIL he found out my boyfriend was recording the situation on his smartphone, a video I would be more than happy to share if you would like a copy. Only THEN did he give me back my money and even said, “Thank you”.

I am completely shocked at the way this manager handled the situation. When a customer comes to you with a problem, regardless of their demeanor or attitude, your job as a manager and a leader is to be objective and to help the customer. I am told by this manager that I need training to be less rude, so after hearing (and potentially viewing) what transpired, what, in your opinion, would this manager need? I am absolutely disgusted with this situation; I have never been spoken to like that, thrown out of a restaurant, and embarrassed like this. This was completely the wrong way to deal with a customer.

If someone has an issue with a product you are offering, does this entitle them to speak to a customer like this? I can only imagine the repercussion this had on the customers around us as well as his staff. Every other customer in the restaurant was looking at us with their jaws dropped. If this is the poor attitude Bob portrays on how he handles this type of situation, his employees will only learn this destructive behavior. If you are looking to hire motivated people, as your website states, you definitely have a manager working at this location who is motivated to lose customers, which is no way for a leader to act.

I've always been satisfied with the service and food at Subway, but after this interaction, please be assured that I will be retracting my future patronage from any Subway restaurants, as this experience has understandably turned me off.

VERY POOR VALUE! I came in to get a quick, simple 6" Turkey sandwich, small bag of chips, and small drink and it was almost $8--what a rip-off! Knowing that I was upset the Mgr/Waitperson said that this is what a "meal" was at McD and then had a "cute" little sarcastic saying when I walked out the door. Plus, the wait staff would call it's customer's "honey" and "sweetie." I'm sure glad my wife wasn't with me. Subway has REALLY gone downhill and apparently want to score a homerun off every customer instead of provide a good value for a mediocre meal at best! Steer clear of Subway folks till they get their head out of the clouds!

You can go into the store, and want a sandwich and they are always out of the required food stuffs three times a week to make it, Are they really a bussiness?, Not really, As a bussiness you would assume that they would have ordered the supplies needed.I have seen where they will make your sandwich, then you can't pay cause the debit is out of order.
The southhill location, Don't goto this location first thing in the morning as you will stand around waiting, As the staff that works nights is leaving all there work till the morning before there boss gets there, , so you are left waiting for service.
We have three locations in the city and the only one that seems to be able to do the job they advertise is the main st location, Could this be because the main manager for all the subways in the city works there..
Complaints fall on deaf ears as nothing ever seems to be done to rectify the problem...thankfully there is numerous other fast food places in the city that are more than willing and prepared to take your order, Get it right, Say thankyou, And actually have staff doing there job.

There was a lady at subay preparing a large order of subs and she also did my order. I watched the lady make my sub with her gloves (as though to imply she was being hygenic) Then she went and handled the cash register with those same gloves to finish my order. Then I watched her go back to making the large order of subs with those SAME gloves! I complained to her about this and she explained that what she did is ok because she did not handle any money and just touched the buttons on the register. This is discusting. Obviously the cash register is covered with germs from people touching it with unwashed hands and also handling money there! And another thing that I noticed was that my cup of water from there smelled fishy. 2100 white bear ave maplewood, in the community center.

this subway sucks, or some of the employees do sometimes. I called in around like 10:50 to try to place an order for a sub...I had been trying for like 15 mins and no one picked up. Finally someone picked up and i asked what time they closed. He said 11...then I asked if i can order a pick up order...the idiot on the other end of the line was just so rude...he said "wellllll I was ABOUT to close"...im thinking...ok if you were about to close, why did u say u close at 11 ? he said...its 10:55, i said...its 10:50 ? he then just seemed frustrated and hung up...wtf? what a lazy jerk...i mean if youre working at a place and youre not closed...then take someone's order...how hard can it be...if you're closed then dont say u close at 11...and for the people who say oh its the end of shift...its not...ive been to lots of places that close at the right time and even that place...anyhow it was just rude incompetent and stupid... just bad service and attitude...

The number 1 reason is They don't wash there hands and one time a girl with red hair blew her nose and then gloved and made food. Thats nasty.

Subway bad manager!

I went to subway today with my friends. The manager and a red head were working. We ordered our food and were eating. There were a few other customers in there. All we could hear was the manager complaining about her life and how she hated this dead end job. How her husband and her were getting a divorce. She was going to leave and move to minnesota and live with her sister and leave her girls there with there father. She continued complaining about employees and how they all suck. She had to drop out of school because of her job, kids, and husband. She then said lisa and bobbi jo? Dont pay her enough to be a manager and that they just dick around and now they are bringing in someone to help her but this person is the same age and will probably be someone that will just be as lazy as all the employees and she does all the work now. Well after listening to this go on and on we really were not impressed.

This is not how I wanted to spend my lunch hr and the service was slow and not very friendly.

After decades of practice, they're still pumping out unqualified operators from their corporate training center. Their 2 week crash course prepares the owners for making baloney sandwiches and filling out the weekly sales report. The rest is left to figure out on the job at the customer's expense. Like how to find and hire quality staff. Or how to provide effective training and motivation.

For example, the last store I visited, I met "Meg". She was typical of subway "sandwich artists" I've met over the years. I ordered my standard 6 inch tuna, the 675th tuna sub I've ordered to date. During the four minutes I was Meg's customer, I learned she was recently divorced, worked nights even though the daycare costs ate up half her take home pay; the owner didn't care that she worked alone and could be robbed and shot leaving her little girl to that petifile ex-husband; she had a rash that was getting worst because she can't stop scratching it; and her car keeps breaking down every time she gets called in early so her car must hate her boss as much as she does. Wow. TMI girl, get a grip.

I look around while she cuts the 12" bread roll into a 5" and a 7" snack. Damn, I got the 5" end again. The walkin cooler is covered with a sloppy array of notes and posters scotch taped to the door. Two catch my attention. One is a poster of the heimlich maneuver illustrated with stick people. Yea, like Beth is going to save me if I choke. More likely she'll use New York CPR and yell "Get UP, you're gonna die!" The other is a notice from the owner: The next shift that is short more than $10 will result in your immediate termination! NO EXCEPTIONS! I'm tired of this crapt!"

McDonalds with a full time manager starts looking good to me right now. Meg asks what I want on my tuna. I answer "lettuce, tomato, pickes, olives, mayo, salt & pepper, plus oil. She responds "lettuce tomato and what? I respond "pickles, olives, mayo, salt & pepper, plus oil. She puts the pickles and olives on and says "salt, pepper, and vinegar?" No, mayo, salt & pepper, plus oil. So she pours on mayo, salt, pepper, oil and vinegar. Well, at least it was close.

I follow Meg to the "pay now" sign where she starts hammering on the cash register touch screen. I mention that I want a drink and ships with my sub. "That makes it a meal deal. I'll have to void the ring up and re-ring it." She continues to pound the touch screen. "That's $6.74" she proclaims. So why does the sign say all 6 inch meal deals are $5.29 Meg? "I don't know, I'm pretty sure I rang it up right, it should be $5.29." More hammering on the touch screen.

Finally Meg agrees the total is $5.29. So I hand her a $10 bill, a quarter and a nickel. She stares at the money in her hand, then says "is this exact change?". No I said, "you owe me a $5 bill and a penny." She stands there for the longest time, then grabs a calculator and starts hammering on it for awhile. Finally she gives up and say "how much do I owe you? I don't want to give you too much money back because my boss will take it out of my paycheck."

I try to explain it again then give up. Meg has other things on her mind. She thanked me for my visit then resumed scratching the rash on her arms and other places I shouldn't mention. I realize that the big box places have the same labor issues, but at least there is always a manager on duty that you can gripe to and get coupons for free food. Oh well, they fill a nitch. Lowest cost restaurant franchise, lowest quality service seem to go together.

If you find a good store, stick with it. Don't expect other stores to provide good service. There's no consistency. The bad ones should be retrained or shut down.

Subway inappropriate conduct!

My husband frequents a local subway because it is close to his work. He got know some of the workers. A month ago we had had a false alarm and thought I was pregnant. My husband was all excited and was telling people about it. He saw the manager at this subway and she asked if we were still trying to have kids, he said no it was a false alarm. She told him "why don't you and I get together and do it? Why don't you get me pregnant? My husband told her that his wife wouldn't like it. She replied," why would she have to know"? That is extremely inappropriate. I called her and told her she was out of line, she said sorry, with attitude. She said she doesn't know how to explain what she said. Its pretty clear, she wants to sleep with my husband. I have worked in customer service and food industry and never spoke to a customer that way, I don't care how comfortable I was with them, I need to find a way to find out who the owner of this restaurant is. She tries to take my husband, I will take her job. There is no excuse, especially for a woman who is in her forties. She should know better.

I am the owner of the Subway in question. I am sorry that your experience with our Subway restaurant was not up to your expectations. We train our staff to exceed the customers expectations with every visit. Perhaps our manager miscommunicated or your husband misinterpreted our exceptional service.

I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

I would like to invite your husband and yourself to give us another chance as my guests. I have two coupons at the front counter for free THE FEAST double stacked subs. THE FEAST is stacked and packed with spicy Pepperoni, Genoa Salami, Black Forest Ham, tender Roast Beef, Turkey and American Cheese, topped by your favorite veggies and sauces, piled high on freshly baked bread.

Additionally, if your husband is still "shooting blanks, " I may be able to be of service in that regard as well. Please fill out our standard application, attach a recent photograph and leave it with the Sandwich Artist on duty. I'm sure that you, unlike your husband, won't be such a tattletale.

Subway picture vs actual sandwich!

On 1/8/08 I sent a complaint to subway through their website. I got a reply saying someone would respond to my complaint in 7 to 10 business days. That did not happen nor did I receive a response of any kind to my second e-mail. The original complaint was that I ordered a sandwich under a picture of a sandwich that would appear to be a two inch gap between the two slices of bread filled with meat and accruments. The actual sandwich I received had the bread completely closed and you could not see anything (without actually opening the sandwich) but a piece of meat hanging out from the slit. Since I did the complaint on their site I don't have all the details of time and place. I do remember it was in the evening at the subway in the walmart store on glendale ave. For about the same price I can get a much better sandwich at quisnos and will be buying from them in the future.

Subway subway quality bad

Hi,

I have had subway food in india, singapore, shanghai, hk and in australia. And always what I like is the same quality standards they maintain in all the places. But surprisingly very close to my work place, I have a subway, who consistently dont deliver what is standard... Its always sub standard. First of all, they dont have what they declare on the menu. Secondly they dont have stock of the stuff they say they have!

This is to inform you that the subway located in ecospace, on outer ring road in bangalore, the quality of food has completely deteriorated in the standards that subway serves. Today evening we ordered for delivery of 2 vegie delights, 2 spicy italian and 2 vegie delight salads. Some were ordered without onion and cheese.

But to our surprise we found that the food delivered did not have olives at all! And they had given red jalapenos and not the usual salt water dipped green jalapenos! This is the second time they have done this.

What I have observed is that the quality from this restaurant is deteriorating day by day. Even the fork that was given this time was so bad in quality that we could not pick salad using this, as it would bend!

I think with the kind of money subways in india are charging, they should maintain certain international quality standards.

I have complained to their international office, lets hope they will improve and give what they claim at this place.

Thanks and regards
Mohan urs

i'm a regular of subway and my regular favourite is Subway-Veggie Delight, with Honey and oat bread, cheese and all veggies. i luv the service and subway taste at jubilee hills and begumpet stores, but when i went to prasads IMAX cinema to watch Sherlock holmes yesterday night, we thought of having subway in the same complex, but i was surprised at the way the boys there are making the sub, one Mr. Reddy is so ill mannered and lack complete knowledge in making the sub, he is very untidy and we hate the way he spoke to us, we were not informed that the store is running out of cheese, but after it was done i asked him that he didnt spread the cheese slices, instead of being sorry he responded that he informed us that cheese is not there in the store, we were surprised as to when did he informed us about it, later when i asked that how can u charge us the same price for the sub when there is no cheese in my sub, he shouted back on me saying that, its the rule and if i have any complaints go and complaint to whomsoever i want, i really hated this perticular subway store and i will rather never prefer to visit this store, and if no action being taken i wud rather suggest everyone around my friends not to visit this store. i want and immediate action against this and i'm really not happy with the way the boys there are behaving with customers.its very rude and ill treatment, which i never expected.

Hello,
There is a similar situation of pathetic road condition and transport facilities even at
ELECTRONIC CITY PHASE-2, which has local strength of more that 10000 peoples.
The main road which lead to ELECTRONIC CITY PHASE-2 is not having a Tar road.
Where we have great MNC companies like Mahindra satyam, TCS, GE, TATA BP SOLAR, HICAL, CONZERV and many more.
Even the BMTC bus transport facilities is not provided..people have to walk more than 1km to main road(hosur road) to catch a bus

It is our humble request to the concerned authorities to take the necessary actions to provide us the basic necessties

Hi Mohan,
I totally agree on you. I had bad experience in the below places in India. There's no quality control in India even in restaurents. Last night they served my a rotten fish in kolkata-CB's Adda in salt lake sec5. They made me pay for that too. Here we cannot do anything even if they serve ###. This is what i learnt. There's nothing we can do except complaing on the net. Hey all Indians, Please let me know if anything can be done fast/simple and also effective for this kind of issues. We Indians cando nothing... There are lots of imported food which doesn't comply with indian norms (Means the food imported is not even safe a the taste) is all dumped and consumed. What is happening with the once's who suppose to control all this? They have to realise that even their childern eat it at some point.

Dear subway,
I am a loyal customer who goes to subway all the time and when i go I get a bottle of water, I want to recycle it but there is no place to. so I think you should have a recycle bin in every subway resraunt, for plastic, glass, and paper. That way every one can enjoy their food and save the world too. plese take this into consideration.

After seeing uk channel four Super size me program on 10/1/08
an the attitude form some americans this evening im am discusted on the word your putting out to these people, Subway is not heathy, since when has processed meat and plastic cheese been good for you? we are talking about children as young as 13 years who are over seriously over weight, being given the wrong message here? Parents are fully responsible for there child and using obesity as a genetic disorder is discusting. You are really giving the wrong message to alot of people, dont get me wrong its not just you mcdonalds have been in the line of fire for a long time but they sell fries and burgers and an other attempt to add anything healthy to there menu is just not going to sit with these thousands of customers that eat out every night at these fast food outlets. FAST FOOD WILL NEVER EVER BE GOOD FOR YOU and thats a fact. This program shows a teenager feeling bad because her lunch money could not buy one of your valued subway meals.IS THIS FOR REAL... Sort it out not only is global warming a major issue but child obesity is also a serious problem in the us as well as the uk... only you guys and these slack arrogant parents who refuse to spend those extra pennies on keeping their children to live to the age of 40 plus can make a difference on lives. Stop thinking money and think to the future in a less selfish way, think on the impact it would have...

Subway fraudulent advertising!

I cannot believe I paid over $9 for a six inch sub with so little lobster on it - it sure did not look like the one they advertise! As a matter of fact, it hardly looked like lobster, it was more like to lumps of paste. There sure were no chunks like they show on the ad!

July, 2014- Subway lobster sandwich is FALSE ADVERTISING. A couple ounces of mashed lobster that looks like tuna salad spread thinly on a 6" bun for $9:04 is a rip-off. All their advertising says "CHUNKS" of lobster and shows a bun loaded with chunks. When they put the top half of the bun down, it looks like they forgot the lobster; more like a lettuce sandwich. I emailed head office but they never replied. They got my money once, but never again. Stay away from Subway and their lobster SCAM.

I both agree and disagree with everyone. I work at a subway in windsor ON and we freshly cut our veggies often during each shift. The store is so busy, absolutely nothing gets to "sit" around. The only veggie in a bag is the lettuce for some reason.
I totally agree with having an owner who knows what they are doing. I work under one of the worst people I have ever met. He pays us late, changes rules daily. He makes us keep cookies over night even though they are good for like 8 hours. He makes keep meatballs over night and use them the next day, and they are only good for 4 hours! He makes us put our tips in the cash register if it's down a few cents! We get written up if we have too much bread by closing, then the next day be written up for not having enough bread at closing! It's supposed to be fresh [censor]!

I too have a problem with a certain Subway Store. On more than one occassion I have gone into the store in Richmond BC at 14331 Entertainment Way and have been very unsatisfied with the way they make their Seafood Subs. At this particular Subway they put tons of mayo in the mix so they can put less seafood in the mix. When I complained the woman, who I assume is the manager because it has many owners told me to go somewhere else. I said no just make my sandwich properly. The next time it was the same thing and the same woman. I asked her for the number to their main office and she said she was too busy to give it to me. There were 3 people in the store at the time and 3 staff persons. The number I later noticed is on the napkins. When I called the head office to complain, I was told that one of the many owners of this particular Subway would call me to deal with my complaint and no one has ever called. I will never go into a Subway again. Their food is not that good that I will put up with such arrogant service for such a crappy, mayo sandwich, being sold as a Seafood Sub.

Dear President-Subway
I would like to bring into your attention about the insulting behaviour of your one franchise-Country Hill Calgary near Canadian Tire Country Hill and the owner was chinese. I went for breakfast with my children and he did not pay any attention and when I complaint then he started saying that go away and no body can do any thing. He did not honour your promotional campaign coupons which is valid till May 2010. Please trained these people and atleast they should know about customer service otherwise SUBWAy will be in deep loss due to these non professional franchise persons. Select the good professioanl people and get rid of these non serious shopkeepers.

Some of the sandwiches they make really does sound a bit expensive and over priced... But trust me, that's not the issues that I find most bad and unfortunate...

Despite the fact that subway sandwiches tastes reletively fine in some places, but I've always noticed that their sandwiches are never really fresh... because they obviously always use packaged goods and trust me, I've seen them handle packaged vegetables before... I always thought: "HOW IN THE HELL IS THAT FRESH IF IT WAS PACKAGED?"... as well as "THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS PACKAGED FRESH GOODS... AND HOW DO I KNOW IF THE INGREDIENTS THEY USE HAVEN'T BEEN SITTING IN THE FRONT FOR A WHILE?"

obviously most of the subway restaurant never really use actual fresh ingredients, considering that most of the ingredients probably had been sitting around for at least a week or so in a plastic packaged bag... Anyways, I would either recommend eating at quizno's if you could afford it, or just eat at some other places that doesn't actually over price their food while at the same time, providing a healthy snack or meal at a reasonable price.

Subway manager's attitude was like who cares

A few months ago I pulled up to the window at the jefferson street subway in athens. I ordered a large sub and told the cashier make it tuna. I notice the workers laughing and giving each other high fives. Later I found out why. It was not a tuna it was meat ball with everything I requested on the tuna, mayo, green pepper etc. I called the mgr. And informed, the mgr. Said they were out of tuna. The mgr. Never said come back and we will make it right. The manager's attitude was like who cares. I e-mailed a complaint to the subway web site and no response. Needless to say I don't trade there at all!

I have worked at Subway for almost two years now. I love my job, I love my customers, and okay...sure... some days are better than others but never have I been out-right rude to my customers. I have had complaints, but I am regrettably for them and make it a personal mission to correct them. I close most evenings and I always quality control my food before i put it up, even if i have to throw away a whole pan of food because i know it's not going to last the night and be perfect in the morning. I do not own this store, but I do feel like it is my responsibility. Some of the issues are not always from the person right in front of you making your sandwich. For example: I read a post earlier today about a young lady coming in to order a sandwich and there only being two kinds of bread to choose from. She was upset, its understandable. However, The person who was taking her order might have just arrived for their shift, and the worker before him/her might not have made bread for the evening. WHY YOU MIGHT ASK. Simply for the fact that it was not his/her problem and they were not the ones going to be penalized for the problem. Its a sad fact but most people do not take pride in their work. Bread take over and hour to proof and cook at Subway, if the employee would have began making bread twenty minutes before their shift ended, the other co - worker would not have had to worry about to clocking in, discovering they had to make bread, finding out how much and of what kind to make, getting it out of the ###er(It's the cabinet in the cooler were the bread is kept), spraying it with water and scoring the bread, heating up the proofer and oven. On top of proofer for and hour, bread cooks for at least 10 minutes, and then sits on the cooling rack for an additional 30 minutes. I know in most peoples eyes 20 minutes is not a lot, but it really helps when it comes to making the bread. I Love my job, I want the feed back, I tell my manager all the time; If I am not doing something the right way or your unhappy with the way I am doing it, Let me know otherwise how do i know your unhappy with me. You don't have to yell at me, just tell me. AND YES I KNOW, WE ASK YOU THE SAME QUESTIONS SIX DIFFERENT TIMES. But with that big toaster in the back we cant hear a thing and that glass the protects the food from coughs and sneezes, It works as a great sound buffer also. I want you guys to let me know I cant give the location of the store I don't know how upper management would feel about it but I do have an email address that i will share with you guys if you have any question comments or grievances with my post.

I have been working at Subway for 2 and 1/2 months now and trust me when I say I am looking for a new job. I like many of you had a nice picture in my head of a fresh clean place. I was so wrong, they change the dates on the food to today's date and you then don't know how old it is, my co-worker who has now moved on from this horrible job found green fluff on the cold cut trio. I often find the east Indian ladies hair in the prepared produce. The sauce containers never get washed out new sauce just keeps getting added. They usually only have one person working so not only is it a lot of work it is really hard to find time for a break. I no longer want to work there because I am not proud and I like to take pride in my work. If I had the financial backing I would quit today.
