Striaex scam/fraud

THIS IS A TOTAL SCAM. CALL THE FTC AND FILE A COMPLAINT [protected]

As so many people before me, I ordered a 30 day free trial of Striaex Scar Removal product. Unfortunately, the 30 day free trial is only a 10 day free trial once you read the fine print on the forms you receive with the package. You also are informed that your 10 day free trial starts from the day you ordered the product. Please explain to me how someone can return a product within the 10 days when it was received 11 days after the order was placed. Plus their website wasn't working to get an RMA number so one could return the product, and their customer service phone number is only a recording directing you back to the website that doesn't work.

They are now threatening to send a collection agency to collect their money and to notify all the credit agencies to destroy my credit.

I recommend that anyone who has fallen for this scam to contact the U.S. Federal Trade Commission and join those of us who have been scammed. The FTC lawyers will be working with the Canadian authorities to put a stop to this company's fraudulent dealing.

I know I've post a complaint on the same company before about their scam. I received a collection notice saying that I owe them almost $200 and that I have to pay in full. There was an online site where you can pay online, I've checked the website and it does not exists. They're going to hear from my lawyers.

This is a scam from the first www. They will charge your account after 20 days of a 25 day trial.
They will over charge by 200.00 and then you can not talk to anyone . The whole customer service is automated emails. If you put the words Dispute, legal, claim or other words that mean legal action on your part you will recieve a email from an attorny (haha) threatening you to stop your claim. DO NOT STOP.

Nuance/Striaex listed on their website that you can try a sample of their product for a small charge ($2.95 for shipping and handling), but then they charged by Cridit card 102.05 twice - that's over $200... Since I have now seen other complaints on the internet, I suspect that they are a fraudulent company.. Please do not deal with them...

I tried their free trail for 25 days. I sent it back in the time given. I find charges to my bank account. I try to contact the company. no response through email or phone. the number listed is not a working number. so I went to my bank to explain and reported a credit fraud. now I get this email from steve the legal department of striaex, saying they will prosecute me for my false credit fraud claim.

My banks contacts me and says they recieved a letter from the straiex reguarding the dispute. I am very upset because I still have not recieved one response from this people. now my bank is trying to help me with the situation. I am furious that they would even consider prosecuting me, when they didn't even ship me the product, which they already took my money. I still have no products and my money was already taken. so my bank had to credit me back!

This company is a scammer and fraud. I wish I never dealt with them. I am upset at their services, well I can't say that because I haven't recieved any!

They are doing the same thing to me! Spoke to the Transworld people several times, & they told me they are waiting to hear back from striaex. Six months later after trying to reach these theives@ striaex. get an email back saying I owe $367 with late fees? Returned the product the day it arrived, didn't even try it. In fact I tried to cancel the order 20 minutes after I placed it & they still sent it to me!?Any advice? I can't believe this company is still in business?

Transworld is just a collection agency. But doesn't appear to be too aggressive with the companies they do business with. And accept accounts from fraudulent companies like Striaex, which in my opinion doesn't make them a very good company. I too am dealing with Striaex, whose product not only arrived AFTER the trial period of 10 days, but received the items back and are still trying to get $237.48 from me through Transworld.
I spoke to Transworld again this morning and was told by the half-awake Rep. that they have received over 100 accounts from Striaex. Not sure if he was supposed to mention that but it sounds like they don't care what business they take on, whether it's a fraudulent company or not.
Complaints to the BBB about Straiex don't really do much. Straiex deosn't care and doesn't respond and are therefore rated with an "F" on the BBB site.
I made a complaint with the FTC. I suggest everyone do the same. Then maybe after so many complaints about this fraud, they will be forced to stop.

I also fell in they're so -called trial period. But for anyone that Striaex has taken your money don't back down. Please contact your attorney general, BBB, FTC, and also report it to your bank as fraud. Like everyone else you will get the threats from there so-called legal department. Keep all your e-mails to show proof to your bank and any other place you reported them to. If possible team up with other people that has had the same problem with them as proof that this is an on going deal with them. I myself have not received my money back yet, but I am not giving up. And when I do receive it back I will post every step I had taken to help anyone else to get his/her money back also. These people are so stuck on making money they don't seem to care that they are getting bad publicity all over the internet. I hope somebody comes up with something quick to shut them down.

Striaex FAILURE TO COMMUNICATE

I PURCHASED THEIR WHAT I THOUGHT WAS A 30 DAY TRIAL TREATMENT OF ANTI-AGING CREAM, TURNS OUT IT WAS ONLY A 10-DAY TRIAL. I CANCELLED AFTER THE 10 DAYS AND NEVER HEARD FROM THEM AGAIN UNTIL NOW 9 MONTHS LATER. BUT NOT FOR THEIR CUSTOMER OR BILLING OFFICE, A COLLECTION AGENCY CLAIMING I OWED $198.00 TO RESOLVE MY DEBT WITH THEM. I WAS SO UPSET THAT THIS COMPANY IS RIPPING OFF INNOCENT CONSUMERS WHO TRY OUT THEIR PRODUCT AND THEIR "FAILURE TO COMMUNICATE WITH THEIR CUSTOMERS ON THE (FINE LINE) POLICY AND THAT THEY DON'T EVEN SEND YOU A BILLING OR TRY TO CONTACT YOU TO TELL YOU THAT YOU ARE STILL OWING THEM. THIS COMPANY SHOULD BE LOOKED INTO BY THE STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL FOR THE MANNER THAT THEY ARE DOING BUSINESS AND RIPPING OFF THE CITIZENS OF THIS STATE AND ELSEWHERE. SIGNED NEVER AGAIN P.S. LEAVES A "BAD TASTE" TO ALL OTHER COMPANIES WHO ARE DOING A WONDERFUL JOB OF PROVIDING CONSUMERS WITH GREAT SERVICE AND PRODUCTS.

This company was attempting to charged my card in which it was stolen back in July of 2017. I have no idea what this company was when I saw it on my statement, I disputed the charge with my cc company therefore, my charged got reversed back. I never knew who or what this company was until now, when somehow they sent the money in which they claimed that I owed them to a collection agency requesting that I paid the amount owe which does not belongs to me. According to the FDCPA, it is illegal to attempt to collect a debt that doesn't belong to be due to identity theft. I'm still trying to dispute the charge with the agency. PLEASE EVERYONE BEWARE DO NOT PURCAHSE FROM THIS SCAM COMPANY! YOU WILL REGARD IT! Also, if anyone out there know what to do, please help me. Should I pay for the charge which doens't belong to me or should I refused. I'm just afraid that this might affect my credit scores, in which I have very good credit. Please help...

I had ordered the product in July 2017. I, unfortunately, did not read the terms and conditions. And after I recieved the product, I become busy and forgot to return the product within the 30-day trial, which turned out to be only 10-day. I apologized for the inconvienience and returned the product in full at my cost. They are still trying to collect the money and threatening to sue me for the cost of the product, plus interest which totals up to almost $400.00.

Striaex billed me for the free trial which I returned, and then enrolled me in their subscription. I never asked to be enrolled and was sent a shipment of their product. I promptly returned it. I then contacted them several times. And they responded back saying the return process is lengthy.

Several months later I received an email stating that I would be receiving my refund(about 170$ they took from me) on my next credit card statement. This NEVER happened. I then contacted them and they said- That they can not find my refund and would look in to the matter. It has been about 6 months since they've taken my money and have yet to receive a refund. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY!

I received a small bottle for a claimed free 25 day trial which turned out to be a "10 day trial" and paid $2.95, returned the product after 1 wk. I didn't receive any bill and after 2 months got a bill from transworld collection agency for$297.00 for a 2 month /2 bottle supply of the product and 25% charges. I emailed transworld and told them that I returned the product and only received 1 bottle why would I be charged for 2, I offered to pay 1 bottle but they refused and told me to talk to transworld instead.I called transworld again this morning and was told that striaex would only authorize me to pay 75% of the bill. Why would I pay for something that I did not get? Just found out today numerous complaints of the site.Pls DONT EVER DEAL WITH THIS SITE!

TIPS FOR RESOLVING! I'm hoping this will work.

Background:
I have the same problemas everyone else, I ordered Striaex about a year ago. I returned it on time, I think, but it took so long to get it that I was probably out of time by the day it arrived. Luckily I went online and read about it being a scam, so I cancelled my credit card. Then they REFUSED my shipment (for which I paid over $13) and it came back to me, and now I am getting calls for this Transworld collection trying to get like $190. No way am I paying for a product that I sent back and they wouldn't take. I filed a complaint with the BBB, but Striaex didn't respond.

So this is a real collection agency, and they keep calling. I have had enough, I am going to get this fixed. So I called the Business Practices and Consumer Protection Authority of British Columbia, and they are VERY familiar with Striaex. They were very nice, but said they protect consumers of British Columbia, and my local consumer protection agency should help me.

So, as a New York State resident, I filed a complaint with the New York State Consumer Protection Board. A day later (quick response!) they have referred me to the New York State Attorney General's Internet Bureau. I just finished filling out a complaint, and I am also going to call them. This is the route to go, as your agencies have a vested interest in helping you (after all, we taxpayers pay for the agencies). So anyone who is having a problem with Striaex, contact your state attorney general, preferably the internet bureau.

I will let all know how it works out. Fingers crossed!

Update on this ripp off company I finally recieved my money back .I out smarted these crooks.I ordered there product on the 5th of December but didn't recieve it untill the 20th of December.I shipped it back to them with the return address that was on the shipping label it cost me 12.01 but was worth every penny.I went through UPS and what really helped me was the fact that they refused this package in which they broke their agreement about refunds.I kept all my reciepts I even had all the tracking numbers from UPS the one on the shipping label from them and to them.I have contacted the BBB in USA and Canada but I also contacted my Attorney General's office in which they are investagating .I'm sure they put every customer through this with there scare tatics don't fall for it.Let me guess I bet you have heard from Mike(customer service) and Steve Mitchell their so-called leagal advisor.Don't be afraid to fight them and whatever you do cancel your credit cards at once. File a complaint with your Attorney General's office. You can file one online.Good Luck.

I ordered this product with a 25 day no-hassle guarantee. Here goes date ordered 12-5-07 date received 12-20-07 date shipped back 1-7-08. I did the math I had the product 18 day's. They don't tell you anywhere on their web page it's an auto-ship scam. I sent the package back they refused it.Custom's has it. UPS notified me that Striaex has refused package I notified BBB. About a half hour later the Striaex legal adviser Steve Mitchell notified me by email to remove my complaint at once. Ok guess what I also notified my Attorney General and I suppose they'll try and sue me because of that one. If I get another threating letter from them I'm going to FDA if anyone has had a problem with them contact the BBB, Attorney General. Maybe if they keep making me mad I might just get a gold of my local news station.P.S. stay away from this company

Re: Past Due Payment with Striaex.
Amount Due: $189.98
Collection Agency: Transworld Inc.

This is a reminder that today is your final day to make your
payment with paying your late fees. Once again, you ordered a
Striaex product with a 10-day free trial period, not a free product
and you did not return your product within the 10-day trial period.

I would like to remind you that I have reviewed your account with
Striaex and that your outstanding balance has is still with
Transworld Inc. for collection. Your account is significantly past
due and a $25.00 late fee has been accruing each month. Your
balance is 6 months past due and your total late fees are now
$150.00. Your total owing as of today is $339.98.

Up until the end of today's date I am still authorized to waive
your late fees if your payment is made. I am also still able to
set up a payment plan for you if you are unable to make a lump sum
payment at this time. I will also be able to waive your late fees
if a payment plan is set up by the end of today. As I
mentioned in my previous emails, I can set you up with a payment
plan as low as $20.00 per month with no interest or any other fees.
Please contact me to set up your plan.

Upon receipt of your payment, we will cease all conveyance to
credit reporting agencies including Equifax and TransUnion and your
account will be permanently closed with Transworld and Striaex.
You will receive no further demands for payment from Transworld.
Furthermore, once payment has been made, there will be no record of
this collection activity on your credit history.

Your payment must be made on our website by the end of today at
www.striaex.com/payment1.htm to ensure termination of all
proceedings. Once we receive your payment, you will be sent a
purchase receipt via email verifying payment received and your
account will be closed immediately.

Should your payment of $189.98 not be made by the end of today, I
will no longer have authorization to remove you from third party
collection and this offer will no longer be valid. I will also no
longer be authorized to waive your late fees that have accrued
since your balance has become past due. Your total after
today will be $339.98 plus an additional $25.00 each following
month your payment remains past due.

Your prompt attention in this matter is required. Please take this
opportunity to remove your account from collections and avoid your
late fees and penalties.

Sincerely,

I just read the most halarious responses to "Mike" the Customer service guy at Striaex. There was also a lot of information this guy (Alvingill87) had as far as the threats given by Striaex.

http://www.acne.org/messageboard/STRIAEX-ACNE-SCAR-ERASE-t128695.html&st=40

He also mentions that it can't effect your credit since they don't have a Social Security Number for you.
Does anyone know if this is true.

Striaex scam, unauthorized charges

This company sells a product with a free trial offer of 2.95 for shipping. They then charge your credit card outrageous amounts of money, you can't contact them by phone, they say they are processing your refund, and then after so much time has elapsed that the bank can't do anything, they send threatening emails. It is a major scam, and even if people are not going to get their refunds, the company needs to be put out of business, and the fraudulent parties need to be held accountable. I recommend that everyone who has been scammed file a complaint with the Vancouver BBB and I also found a website that deals with international internet fraud. It is www.econsumer.gov. Please file complaints if you have been scammed. I never did receive my refund but at least maybe we can prevent this from happening to others.

Striaex Scam and fraud

Ok, so I bought this stuff called Striaex which is a stretch mark cream and I got it under a free trial offer. The terms of agreement are listed below so that you can see that I’m not just pulling ### out of thin air!

“Limited time offer.

You'll receive a full 3-month supply of Striaex Anti-Stretch Mark Cream. This is your opportunity to try it out for free.

> Try our free trial to see
how Striaex Anti-Stretch Mark
works for you.
> No Risk, No Obligation.
> Only pay S/H - $2.95

Striaex Anti-Stretch Mark Cream is regularly priced at $129.99. Try it for free with this special offer. We're that confident it will work for you.

Free Trial Terms & Conditions:

Start your FREE Trial now to receive a full three-month supply of Striaex Anti-Stretch Mark Cream. You'll have 25 days from today, 06/27/2008 to evaluate this product and see the results for yourself. If you like the way Striaex works for you, simply do nothing.

This is not an autoship program. Striaex Anti-Stretch Mark Cream is FREE to try. You will be billed $94.99 for each of the two jars one time after 25 days only if you decide to keep your order. If, for any reason, you should decide Striaex is not for you, return only one of the two jars within 25 days of the placement of your trial order. The second jar is yours to keep FREE just for trying our products. Please be sure we receive your return within 25 days of purchase date to avoid being charged. Terms & Conditions are subject to change without notice. Expedited shipping takes 1-3 weeks. See our easy return instructions under Help for details.”

So today my account got charged and I sent an email to their customer service stating that I mailed back one of the jars, as per the terms of agreement and I would like my account credited back with the funds.

Then I got an email back from customer service, one of the finer points was "It is a Free Trial Period of 25
days, not a Free Product.”

So, I wrote back:

Dear Mike, or whomever is concerned,

Per the terms of agreement as listed on Striaex.com, the terms and conditions are as follows: (Please see the highlighted, bolded, and enlarged text below for reference.)

If you require that I do return BOTH jars, as opposed to the terms clearly listed below, please advise and I will return the second one as well.

I do, however, require that my credit card be recredited in the amount of $94.99. I am also requiring that I be refunded for the shipping cost of the second jar, in the amount of $4.40, as it was stated in the terms of agreement described below, that "The second jar is yours to keep FREE just for trying our products. " If you are requiring the return of the second jar in order to process my refund.

If my account is not credited in the amount of $94.99 by July 11, 2008- two weeks from today's date, then I will contact my bank regarding this fraudulent charge that clearly violates the terms of agreement.

Then I got this:

Attention Amanda,

You are selecting parts of our terms and conditions eliminate so that you don't feel responsible for your purchase. You have been charged the two charges for the two items that you did not return within the 25-day trial period.

I have sent your account to our Legal Department regarding your intention to dispute charges with your bank. Your dispute is classified as fraudulent and I highly recommend that you do not choose this course of action. Our Legal Department is very strict about fraudulent disputes. The legal fees, reversal fees and fines are very expensive. I strongly suggest you do whatever it takes to cancel your dispute and cooperate with our Legal Department.

Sincerely,

Mike, Customer Service.
Striaex Customer Service.

Sorry- But I was not paraphrasing the terms of agreement- I copied and pasted the ENTIRE THING!

Then, I got this from LEGAL!

Attn: Amanda *,

FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THIS REQUEST WILL RESULT IN IMMEDIATE LEGAL ACTION.

I have received your account information and your correspondence that you intend to dispute a charge made to your account for a Striaex product you purchased from www.striaex.com. You placed an online order for one of our Free Trials at www.striaex.com and we did not receive your return within the 25-day trial period. It is a Free Trial, not a Free product. You were charged in accordance to the terms and conditions of sale to which you agreed upon purchase.

This is to inform you that all disputes are automatically reversed and customers are charged a $75.00 processing fee for EACH charge back on top of the product cost. Multiple charge backs are assessed a $75.00 charge each. Any further action taken to dispute charges will be assessed a further $75.00 fee. Any outstanding balances are immediately sent to a collection agency and litigation is initiated for collection.

AS REQUIRED BY LAW, YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED THAT A NEGATIVE CREDIT REPORT REFLECTING ON YOUR CREDIT RECORD WILL BE SUBMITTED TO A REPORTING AGENCY IF YOU FAIL TO FULFILL THE TERMS OF YOUR CREDIT OBLIGATIONS.

We have the following evidence that will ensure a dispute reversal:

1. Positive AVS match.
2. CVD Match.

I am so mad! You don't want me to pursue any action? Well guess what? I think I will!

HI GUYS, hope you could help me out as well. I saw this free trial thing on july 09 and purchased it with the use of my debit card. However, when I found out that it was actually a scam I immediately ordered another card so they won't charge me for nothin' and it actually worked.Only $2.95 was charged to my account for the shipping and handling cost.My concern is more on my credit in the future because now I just received a letter exactly the same as with you guys from TRANSWORLD SYSTEMS INC. that i owe them $287.48.I tried calling this company and he cant do anything about it.I tried telling the call rep that I never received the product and he keeps on telling me that i need to prove it.(How could i coz i actually never received the product from that scam company?).I actually dont care about the amount they want me to pay coz for sure I'll never give a dime of my money to them.I just want to know what can I do to protect my credit in the future coz I just recently got my SS number and just planning to build my credit at this point of time. The card that I used to place a purchase with them is not a credit card and I dont have a SS number yet when I opened that account last 2007.What advice can you guys give with this matter?Im just starting my credit and I dont know what to do.It's gonna be a headache for me if this doesnt get settled.Do you guys think its much better to close this debit card account and open another one? Will it affect my credit later.Hope to hear from you guys.thanks!

My daughter was scamed by this bunch as well. We closed out the account after paying for both bottles...now my daughter is getting threatening emails from them saying she owes $60.00 to close out the account! they will keep piling on late charges if we don't pay. I have never heard of a company charging to close an account...even after we paid for the crap they sell.

I ordered from them on 02/06/09. The products were supposed to be for a 10-day trial, but didn't arrive until after 10 days. I saw that you are required to request a RMA numberr before returning, because the item will not be accepted without the RMA. Personally, I think the requirement of the RMA is a tactic just to delay the return. Or make someone not want to go through a whole procedure. After emailing them 02/17/09, I received a response on 02/18/09 stating my RMA is my order number. Something they could have put in the return policy.

I returned both (full) jars through USPS and kept the reciept which has a Customs form number. (You can track the package with the Customs form number). Time went by and I didn't hear from Straiex. No call, mail or any type of contact. Then on 04/07/09 I received a letter from Transworld Systems INC. They stated Nuance Aromatherapy DBASTRIAEX placed my account with them, and they are attempting to collect $237.48. Even though the site states 'low price of just $189.98'.

I contacted Transworld right away and they requested I fax a the Customs number to them. I did that on 04/07/09 and didn't hear anything until 04/24/09. I received another letter from Transworld, still trying to collect the $237.48 and stated 'here is the information you requested' even though I didn't request anything. The information I supposedly requested was a copy of Striaex's return policy.

So I called Transworld again and asked what the status of the account was. I was told they were still waiting for a response from Striaex. Which means I had to contact the scammers themselves... So on 04/28/09 I emailed them throught their site since their customer service number, which is listed on their site as a way to contact them, doesn't work. My email said
'I returned both (FULL) bottles and have Customs form number and confirmation from the U.S. Post Office that they were delivered to Straiex. After returning the items, I did not receive any contact from Straiex. No call, bill or anything. Then months later I receive a call, and bill from a collection agency, Transworld Systems INC. They stated Nuance Aromatherapy DBASTRIAEX placed my account with them, and is attempting to collect $237.48.

Both bottles were returned in a box with what I was told was my RMA number, ######. Please update your files and send the correct information to Transworld Systems INC., account #####. This is a debt I do not owe.'

The response was 'I am sorry, but we did not receive your return within the trial period. Once the trial period expires, customers must pay for the products they received as agreed upon prior to purchase. Your account is no longer with us. You will have to settle with Transworld at this time. Sincerely, Mike, Customer Service'

Not only did he not address the fact they received the return, but sent me back to Transworld. Giving me the run around. I called Transworld one more time today and was told what 'Mike' said is not true. Transworld is waiting for a response from Striaex. And it will not be reported to any credit bureau while it is in dispute. This is when I decided to report them to the BBB. Only to find out that would be a waste of time, since they apparently don't care what's reported there. The BBB site had this to say regarding Striaex and Nuance Aromatherap...

'As of September 18, 2008: The BBB has received a pattern of complaints regarding Striaex. The company offers a free trial of their product, and states that once the trial period expires, the consumer will be sent product and billed accordingly. If the consumer decides during the trial period they do not wish to continue with the program, they must return the remainder of the product within 25 days. Complaints received at the BBB have alleged that some consumers have experienced a delay in the delivery of the trial product, resulting in the inability to either test the product during the allotted 25 days or return the product within the same time frame. Further complaints have also alleged difficulty in getting promised refunds, complaints about unauthorized charges, and unaccepted returns within the requested timeframe.'

They do not respond to BBB when there complaints, which leads me to believe they don't care and won't stop scamming people to get money. I read other sites to see what people are doing about them and have read people say they were reporting them to the Federal Trade Commission which is what I did today.

I am still going to continue to dispute this. I will contact whoever, where ever to get this handled. If anyone has any information on how to help. Please feel free to share.

I also fell for the free trial scam. I made the mistake of not reading the terms thoroughly until after I had submitted my order. Upon closer inspection I realized that there was something fishy in the turn-around time if I were to choose to send the product back. Here it is: "Please be sure we receive your return within 25 days of purchase date to avoid being charged. Terms & Conditions are subject to change without notice. Expedited shipping takes 1-3 weeks." If I had received the product in the mail 3 weeks after purchase (21 days?) I would have had 4 days to try the product, evaluate it, and return it. DING! The fraud alarm went off.

I immediately attempted to cancel my order and received the same threats of legal action. At that point to avoid being charged the $189, I closed my account. I was again threatened. A few weeks later I received not two, but one bottle of the product. I informed the company that I had only received one bottle, and since the offer stated that I was supposed to return one and keep one, that I was keeping the one and there was not a second bottle to return.

This all occurred at least 8-9 months ago. I heard nothing more until a few days ago when I received phone calls on two different occasions from a collection agency telling me that I owed them $189. I laughed and hung up. This company is completely unscrupulous and I would like to voice a very loud BUYER BEWARE. They will not get a dime of my money and I'm so glad I took action before they did. The terms themselves are self-cancelling, and I did not receive the promised 2 bottles anyway -- so I feel that I have no liability whatsoever. These people should be driven off the web entirely.

The same exact thing happened to me...they took over $400.00 out of my account. I never rec'd the product. I refused it! They refused to give it back. I filed a report with BBB and ATTY General. It's a huge scam! I wish I would have checked the BBB before ordering the product! **********STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!**************

Same thing over here... i sent back the stuff within 25 days and they claim they never recieved it. when i went through my credit card to get the money back, Striaex threatened me that if I continue with my claim, they would add extra fees to me. They said I MUST stop the claim. Yeah right.

I finally got my money back because the return package was finally tracked back to them - within 25 days - but they never accepted it. they also said that i never requested a RMA. BUT, i have emails from them showing a RMA request was placed by me. this is a scam... they will not accept return package.. what a bunch of losers.

This company is fake. THey are a scam. THe product is nothing special.. just vasaline mixed with some water.

Avoid this company...

Man, this company never quits. I received my 2 bottles back in March of this year. I sent them back just under the 25 day mark (should have done it the 1st day but who knew?), they wrote back and said they didn't receive it until well after the 25 days, postmark made no difference. OK, I was duped, they charged my credit card. Now, it's mid-August, 2008, and I get another email from them (haven't heard from them since I wrote about the returns over 5 months ago) and they say they're charging my credit card $189 and change! I wrote back that I never wanted to continue this and never received anything anyway! No response. Now I realize I should have gotten a new credit card so they didn't have the number but I figured it was finished over 5 months ago. Not with this company. I've reported this to the local police (south Florida Palm Beach county), Visa fraud prevention, and my bank fraud prevention. This is unbelievable, I'm not a wealthy person and can't afford this $189 taken out of my card. Now I have to wait while they investigate this, but meanwhile I'm out the money (creditcard).

Striaex is a Big Hoax. They never shipped the product. Then started charging my credit card exhorbitant charges. When I brought it to the notice of my credit card company's fraud dispute department. All my charges were reimbursed... BUT 6 months later they started charging AGAIN!.. I had to go through the trouble of cancelling my old card and getting a replacement card!

They are a bunch of THIEFS!

Best part of all.. I got a call from Striaex claiming that I owed them some $420! and that they would report me to the Credit Rating Bureau and spoil my credit rating!

Striaex Terrible service!

I tried their free trail product, the term and condition is i have 25 days to try and because the s/h took so long I only had 1 week to try. They charged me almost $400 because I passed 25 days trial period. I contacted them and they said they will return my money after i send the product back and then they said i don't need to send the product back and i will still get my refund after 3 billing cycle. After 3 billing cycle i don't get my refund and I asked them about that and they said it because i didn't return the product back and they need time to make decision about my refund. I said what can i do to get my refund, do i need to return the product back and they don't give me any solution and still i don't get my refund. I try to settle this matter between me and Striaex but I don't get any positive response.

Thank you.

I sent for my "free" trial copy of Striaex acne scar removal cream but before it arrived, I read several complaints about people being billed when they didn't receive it, so I refused shipment and the product was returned to Striaex.

20 Days later, my Visa bill had TWO charges of $95.99 on it! This is outrageous! I never even got the product, never signed for anything, it was returned! What a scam! DO NOT FALL FOR THIS!

I'm at a loss for what to do. Last February (2008) I ordered the free sample for $2.95. Ok, then they said if I don't return at least 1 of the 2 "free" samples I would be charged $98 and change within 25 days. I returned both w/in that time period, but they claimed they never received them and it was over 25 days anyway. Ok, I was duped, and they conned me and got almost $100 from me. Now, on August 12, 2008, I get a new email from them that said my credit card is now being charged $189.95 for the 2 bottles they claimed they never got back. I wrote back that they already charged my card $98, how could they do this? I never received any additional product anyway. No response. Finally a response that they will take legal action if I decide to fight this via credit card fraud and even the local police. You can't get thru on the phone, just a recording. I cannot afford this $189 and it's already been taken out of my card. I called Visa to report fraud and they said they'll investigate but that doesn't help me. Plus Striaex said they will sue me if I report them to credit card fraud. How on earth can this company still be in business? I should have changed all of my credit/debit card numbers, who knew this would happen? Thanks.

I first discovered this company through Web MD. I have some pretty severe acne scars from my youth and have always wondered if scar removal products would help me.

I found Striaex's trial offer and it appeared to me that they were willing to send you a bottle free for only the shipping cost of $2.95. I remember seeing that the ointment costs $109.99 and telling my wife that if they're willing to send you a free sample and normally charge that much that it must work.

Needless to say I received not only 1 bottle, but 2 in the mail. They were very small, 1 fluid ounce a piece, so I figured that it was just the trial size and I would never have imagined that they charged $110 for one of those bottles. I tried the product that evening, following the instructions on the bottle, but did not see any visible difference in my scars. Later I remember laughing that it was just a scam which reminded me off the old snake oil cure-all tonics from old western movies.

Where Striaex made their mistake with attempting to rip me off is I do all my banking online and monitor not only my bank accounts, but my credit cards on a daily basis.

I logged online yesterday and saw that I had a $419.91 debit pending my checking account. Being that I paid the shipping charges with my checking account debit card meant they were taking the money straight from my bank account. I would not advise that after this experience.

I immediately contacted my bank and had them block the transaction. I was then told by my bank that if Striaex attempted to charge my account again that I would have to allow the debit to clear and then contest it with the bank. Ultimately, I had the bank cancel my debit card so that won't be an issue.

After all of that I went online and sent an e-mail to Striaex's customer service telling them that not only had their product not worked, but that I had not ordered anything further from them, and did not intend to. I then told them that any further action on their part to pursue me for the $419.91 that I would file a fraud complaint with the Federal Trade Commission, with my state's attorney general's office, and then forward all of it on to Web MD.

I received the exact same e-mails as the all the other complaints listed on complaintsboard. I received one from their customer service department stating that because I was threatening them that they could no longer help me and that I was going to have to deal solely with their legal department. I then received an e-mail from the legal department threatening hell and damnation if I don't pay them and stop disputing the charges. I believe that is where they make a mistake and their scam breaks down.

I ordered a"Trial Size" product from this company for $2.95 on 18 February 2007. After weeks went by and no shipment had been received I then canceled my order on 2 March via email because the phone number on their website wasn't in order. Finally received package on March 11th in which I returned unopened. March 17th company charged my checking account $94.99 without authorization. When this happened I closed my account and now am receving threatening emails stating that they are prosecuting me for the remaining $95. plus $75. everytime I dispute these charges and furthermore threatening that this will go on my credit report. I returned their product and just want my money back!

I'm having the same problem! I thought I was just paying Shipping for a free trial. No where did it say that if I didn't send to product back within 10 days that I was giong to be charged $300 for this little bottle of cream that sucks. I never recieved any emails, bills, invoices or statments and a month later I start getting calls from Transworld a collection agency trying to say I need to pay them now or they will report me to the credit deparment and ruin my credit. I was never made aware that I was going to be charged anything for this product I thought it was a free trial and if I liked it I would order more. So now what do i do? I don't have $300 to pay them, I'm concerned they are going to send me to collections I don't know what to do. I called the Attorney general they said to file a complaint on their website (which I plan on doing tonight) I hope someone can offer some advise. I'm not a person that doesn't pay my bills this is just a scam I can't believe something like this can happen to me.

This also happened to me.. I ordered products from them but were very unsatisfied so I sent them back and they come calling me a year later saying I owe almost $300.00. So I paid it and then they recently contacte me saying I owe $60.00 for a closure fee. WTF! I am so pissed off and sick of them and I asked why wasn't this fee included in the collection!
