StreetDeal's premium membership is SCAM! You have to pay S$9.9 every month for 10% off. But, you have to subscribe this membership for at least 6 months, if you early terminate, there will be a PENALTY fee S$54.6!

They said you already aggree with the T&C, but the T&C is very hard to find. In their advertise page of the premium membership, no word state the 6 months period and the early penalty fee. So don't greedy for small advantages.

For their deal, actually not good enough, even you have the additional 10% off, the price still not as good as the other deal site, last time I bought a gelish deal from them, I have to pay another S$20 for manicure! And the food deal also sucks, don't believe their pictures!

I am the latest victim.
ISSUE: From May 2015 till Nov 2016, they have deducted S$1072.42 in 12 different transactions between S$85-90 twice every quarter.

STEPS TAKEN:
1.a. Cancelled my bank card
1.b. Reported to bank and bank told me that as per the policy from VISA, they will only try to negotiate the transactions which are mode within 60 days of fraud reported.
2. Emailed streetdeals.sg:
a. Their reply was that I have agreed to their terms and conditions to become a premium member while purchasing two coupons of S$6.85 and S$11.69. I ahve purchased their coupons and was not able to use them.
I did not visit their website after May 2015 because of my experience and forgot about it.
b. Their second reply was they have deducted S$90.46 only once per quarter. They stoppped replying me once I sent them my bank statements.
3. They provided a hotline number which did not work.
4. I visited their registered office in 120, Robinson Road, #150-01. They have rented some desks from a company JUST CO. They do not even have a nameplate in their registered office address.TO my surprise the receptionist from JUSTCO told me that no one is available from streetdeal now and she will call me back when someone is available and not to come back again unless I have an appointment.

I don't know now how to recover this much amount from them. In my life I have booked budget airlines more than 50 times and was always able to untick all their offers. I was frustrated with myself that how can I miss unticking this check box. After looking at this blog I am 100% sure that they trick people.

Please suggest a way to get the money back. Life is too short to waste time for this crap. But, not pursuing this is an injustice to me and 100s of future innocent people.

I was too being scammed of the premium membership fees without the total actual amount to be deducted from my posb debit card. Emailed in twice before getting a reply saying this fee cannot be refunded. I have written in to cancel the membership which will be in Jan 2016. Now I wonder if they will deduct more money from my bank for cancellation charges or not! Ridiculous online platform for consumers! Boycott them!

A friend of my neighbour highlighted to me this scam yesterday. I immediately sign in to figure out how to get rid of it only to know that they had withdraw three times $88.70 from my saving account via my debit card. Search for mails form them...all inside junk/ spam mails. How to get my hard earned money back? Anybody out there can help?

Hi Everyone,
I have been charged and cheated from StreetDeal.sg for Premium Membership of S$90.46. I kept calling to this Company to get refund but no one pick up the call. It is very disappointed and very scared to buy any item from this website. I was trying to explain them that I did not notice and I was overlooked because the amount that they showed inside there is very small and its a kind of cheating to everyone.
My purchase reference with StreetDeal is 803859 and hope I can get back the Refund S$90.46.

I was in nearly the same situation, saw something i liked, clicked to buy, filled out the info and luckily just before hitting the payment button realised my total had jumped up.. by a mysterious $88. Very discretely hidden. If these guys were up front about it they would give you a nice clear warning that you will be charged an extra fee instead of putting it teensy tiny font. Clearly up to no good. Anyway CASE is looking into it for whatever that's worth - probably better the rest of us 'OUT' them online for the scammers they are, include Gregory Costamagna, StreetDeal's chief executive scammer. The chief scammer brushed off the accusations against his company saying the company has received some complaints from customers who claimed it was unclear that they were signing up for a membership. However, they made up only 1 to 2 per cent of its premium members here... yeah because the other 99 per cent either didn't reaslise they've been charged or just can't be assed to complain. The silent majority is, unfortunately silent...

I was caught too recently in July, 2015 re the the premium membership fees of S $88.00 per qr. I now cancel it. My complain to Singapore Consumers Association fails as I was informed that they even does not register at Singapore. They use the word Singapore is perhaps people feel SG. Is trustworthy bec. of its security reason. Not with this, they have scammed continually without any stoppage for years. I think they have made tons of moneys cheatingly out of us. Singapore government must wake up to help her people from being conned all the times.NEVER deal with Streetdeal. Sg.

I also was getting scammed for past few times for the so called "Premium membership" but written in the credit card statement as "port louis".. I check the internet and come across this complaint board to see very similar complaints. I just called up the bank and cancel my card. Very disappointed with them and a good lesson learned for further purchases from internet, especially non-reputed ones.

Vertigo.com has a new scam site, they keep creating new ones. I reported to Police before but they told me not to buy from online websites instead. Seriously as good as sleeping on the job.

Street deal is unscrupulous. I was also unwittingly conned into paying the premium member ship of. S$88. CASe should look into this as it tarnished reputation of online shopping.

Although I wasn't scammed for the membership fees; I am one of the victims too. I bought a $34.90 leather drawnstring bag which includes free delivery which will takes 5 to 7 working days from 28 Oct. Emailed them on the 21 & 27 Nov but all I received is some automated reply that they will attend within 3 working days.. today is already 4th December and there's no sight and sound! When I tried to call their office @ [protected] which is the hotline for customer service; the answering machine will put you on hold for a while and then it will come back and said that all their agents are engaged at the moment and then cut you off abruptly! I'd paid the purchase via paypal so I think my $$$ and bag is gone!

i was just scammed too...My 1st purchase from them... ... what's worse, i just bought a $0.80 voucher... and scammed $88...i was totally unaware of it... There is nothing about the premium membership and the fee.
Call them and finally answer the call and ask me to cancel the membership. What the hell, search high and low for that cancellation button that is not easily found. Until now did not see any refund.
Don't be greedy and think you get cheap stuffs but in the end you pay more than what you are paying for.
Should we report to CASE?

I was also charged $88 for the membership fee. I asked for a refund and was told that they can't refund in cash or credit back to my credit card. They said that they can only refund back in Streetdeal Dollars. This is part of their gimmick. I have also bought the Rainbow Loom and Monster Tail Loom from them. Before I decided to purchase from Streetdeal, I called them up to ask if this was the genuine Rainbow Loom and Monster Tail Loom. They replied that it is genuine so I decided to make my purchase. On the day I received the item, I only received the Rainbow Loom and it was the imitation set. I called them to request for the refund which they agreed. After some time (almost 1 month), I received an email informing me that the refund has been processed on the 9th Oct 2014 (Friday) and I should receive my refund in my bank account within the next 7 working days. I called them up a week later which was on 17th Oct 2014 (Friday) to enquire on the status of the refund and when is the intended date which they arranged to credit in my account. I was advised by them that they have credited to my account. I checked the transaction history but I did not see any amount being credited to by Streetdeal. This is all scam and gimmicks!
First time makeing a puchase from Streetdeal and was a unpleasant experience.

PLEASE DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM STREETDEAL!

haihz, i'm the victim for 2 year. in 2013 i purchase a towel from street deal, they charge me 88sgd in my bank for premium member without my notice.OK, i think might be my fault MAYBE i accidentally click it, i kept quiet and paid. During june 2014, they deducted another 88sgd in my bank account without my acknowledgment again, i called streetdeal for refund but they refuse to refund back my money to my bank but they said will refund and debit to my streetdeal account. ALSO, i asked them to terminate my premium membership. i checked, they did terminate/CANCEL my premium member. FINE, i used 88sgd which refund in my streetdeal.AGAIN, i realize they charge me another 88.7sgd to my bank again in september2014. ANGERRRRRRRRRR...i have cancel my debit card and replace for a new one.bank couldnt help me to get back the money at all. Which mean they charge me $88 (in2013) +$88(in june2014)+$88.70 (in september 2014)=264.7 wasted. I speechless. i did cancel my premium member in june, they charge me again in september.WTH. THIS is totally a cheating method. Please aware and dont purchase anything from streetdeal.

I managed to get back my Premium Membership fee within a week!

I found out I was charged Premium Membership fees of $176 (2 quarters) which I did not sign up for. Called up OCBC bank and they advised me to cancel and replace my credit card. Then I requested OCBC to investigate and reverse the charge. The $176 was credited back to my account after 3 days. It was certainly worth the $15 admin fee charged by OCBC.

Dont bother to call Streetdeal up to ask for a refund. They will give all sorts of excuses.

I just realize I have been cheated by Streetdeal.com.sg yesterday once I received SMS from my Credit card saying that I have bought something on Street Deal for SGD 88.00. I contacted the bank but they couldn't do anything. So I emailed Street deal last night and ask for refund. This morning they reply me that they will only refund me in Streetdeal Dollar term. That means I have a total SGD 86.00 in the street deal account for next purchase. I felt this is not fair and unethical. I have been tricked to pay for something that I don't want, I have learn my lesson now. Can anyone do anything to stop them from continue this kind of scam activities? I can't believe this kind of scam business can still survive for so long in Singapore. I learn my lesson and hope no one will get trap in future.

I am also a victim to this StreetDeal scam. Bought a voucher more than 1.5 years ago for only less than $2, which I subsequently never look into their deals anymore, and they deducted $88 from my account now! This is totally ridiculous! I called up the company, and was attended by this very rude operator who claimed that I was under their Premium membership, which I never remember signing anything pertaining to this! Although they emailed back confirming they cancelled my account, I am still being charged $88! Can someone please tell me how to go about claiming my money back?

I have been cheated too! Too far to explain my lengthy email with them askng for refund, I gave up and agreed to stay on my membership in which costs me without my consent of $88 only for 3mo.!
I waited til it is towards the end of my 3mo. and I quickly emailed them asking for Premium Membership cancellation. Guess what! They still charged my credit card and credited 88 Streetdeal dollars into my account! Again this never ending never been solved case with them continue to dragged on and frustrate me! They don't value costumer feedback!
Called them up immediately and the office closed for the day. End of my membership premium yet they still charge me without my consent!
When I emailed them asking for refund credited $88 back to my creditcard, they replied according to company policies credited can only be done in a form of Streetdeal dollars! What?!
Can SG customer protection authority helps us, victims of Streetdeal.sg?
This has gotten too much and too far! Please shut down their business!

Hey guys, I was scammed out of $88 as well. Apparently it was under Premium subcribtion or some sort that I was totally unaware of. No notification received by bank as well. I was wondering, if any of you did actually get your money back? I just got back from the bank and they told me to wait a week for Streetdeal to reply my email. Bank told me if they fail to do so then I could lodge a police report. I'm wondering if it's worth the trouble.

I was charged $88 last week and have called them to cancel my membership which I don't remember have registered to.
Looking at the number of "victims" I think we should file a law suit against the company. We can form a mailing list to communicate each other or make a CAD report together. Anyone ever reported this case before? Can share?

STREET DEAL is a scam and I hope pls pls complaints board do something. I was charged $88 for membership and was told this will be billed quarterly to my account. All these message done via email which has been on my spam mails. I called them to cancel this unauthorized membership but they will not refund! I chose to cancel my credit card because I dont trust them and fear they will do another unauthorized debits.
How can the trade ministry tolerate such abuse of consumers? It is a lesson for me too.

I am now encountering the same issue. As I don't usually thoroughly go through my credit card statements, I now realise that I have been charged five times with the most recent amount being $88. They say that they can't do any refund as it's all stated in their terms and conditions! Rubbish! Should I proceed to make a complaint at CASE?

I also been charged for S$88 membership from streetdeal after I bought my 1st purchase which i only realised after i received my credit card statement. It seems that most of the 1st purchase we made, we will be 'automatically' signed up as premium member without our further confirmation. Imagine how much they have been earning from us just for the membership itself without further purchase. Just saw from newspaper they are being sued (the 2 owners are not Singaporean ! ) for selling travel package without licence...served them right and I hope they will get their punishment and hopefully the company will be asked to closed for good. And also, will be even better if our gov will asked them to refund all of us the membership fees which they had deducted all this time.

I have a differeng angle to complain - but clearly streetdeal is not a company to trust. Since I cant refund y premium membership - I started buying their cashbacks. They gave me at first when I noticed when I hit their cashbacks more than my monthly payment, they SUSPENDED my premium membership saying they cannot charge my card. Unbelieveable! You guys are being charged while my card which has NO ISSUE is suddenly not able to charge only because I'm getting more than I paid!
I call, I email just so they will explain to me what's the issue but they ignore coz previously they reply but now - totally no answer!
Is anybody even doing anything about this?
