Stone Blue / Bad photographer
We contracted Stone Blue for photography services for our November 2005 wedding. My fiance is active duty military and we found out in June 2008 (contract was signed in May 2008) that he was being delayed in Iraq and we needed to change our wedding date. The contract clearly states that deposit ($1495) can not be refunded if the wedding is canceled, however, we did not want to cancel our wedding we just wanted to change the date to April 200. Jeramiah said that he would "cut us a deal", but would not issue the full amout back. When my fiance called him, he agreed to refund $500 and offered us his "new" package which was $1000 more expensive. He insisted that his prices changed over the few months when we were trying to determine our new date. After much deliberation, including phone calls from our military law advisor, we still would be paying almost $800 more than originally agreed upon. It's well known that the military is grossly underpaid, and he's done nothing but take advantage of our situation. We gave him plenty of notice on the date change, which was the weekend of Thanksgiving, and not likely to be that demanding of a date for a wedding.
We would be willing to pay a $200 cancelation fee at this point, we understand that the contract stated no refund for cancelations, but we tried to reschedule and he was very difficult to work with, not someone I want recording the pictures of the most important day of my life. Why would he provide good service to us now?
