We are working with Steria India (Noida) in Acorn (Thames water) process. We would like to tell that The TL & manager of team CC is champ in lying and making fool of employees and client (Thames Water). They shld joint politics. Joydeep Mazumder, Chandan Gopal, sharmita & their manager Sonal Goel they only know one thing that is only their own benefit. They all had made place hell. We all are so frustrated that we are now searching new job not bcz salary is low or increments are low but only due to such kind of enviorment. Agents have to do what they say other wise they start saying your promotion is in our hand & your leaves are in our hands.

Sonal Goel is so selfish and mean that she will request agents to extend the shift as SLA is high, but she not bothered to arrange for cabs. We want to ask how agents will go to home in night specially girls, People living in dawarka & Gurgoan do she know how much time it takes. She talks like a typical woman, without thinking and listing to other person. She makes us feel like we are labors not employees.

Not only this they are also making fool of the clients.

Cases (tiffs) are shown actioned but actually they are not actioned they just update records (anacom) writing actioned to just make fool of the client. TL’s does these all things and now they are putting things on agents.

Letters are printed without checking the or some time not printed. Topics are closed on back date so that the cases in which wrong action has been taken shld not picked in quality and mostly are closed on Saturday’s and Sunday’s, as cases closed on these days are not picked in quality. Joydeep Mazumder & chandan says client only check quality picked cases so why should we check other letter be smart our SLA is more important than customer query.

Joydeep don’t do any thing in the office only sings song Main hu na main hu na or I have good contact with Pankaj and I cried when I was giving interview for TL as I was unable to answer the question then also they made me TL. He knows only two things one is buttering and 2 is lying.

Whenever agents say this is not the right way sir, Chandan says dekho ashe hi hota hai aur asihe hi hoga and the manager also support these people. And now client are here they say don’t do this don’t do that.

These are only small thing which we have mentioned there is lots of thing, which are happing wrong over here.

If some body is joining steria and specially acorn process what ever you are going to do in this process it will be your responsibility as TL and manager will put their hands up at the end. They only say- NO WE DON’T MEAN THAT WAY, YOU TAKEN IT WRONG WAY. SO IT’S YOUR MISTAKE. SO WE HAVE TO TAKE ACTION AGAINT YOU.

Private company doesn’t mean that they will suck our blood. We don’t want other to suffer just like us.

Where is Acorn now? Sala where is Utilities now. Shameful losers who went on this blog and created an environment which lead us to lose our leaders. Shameel left in 2011 - kya ukhad liya uske bad kisi ne bhi. Today I want to apologize for all that I said on this blog in 2011. Things have changed for the worse now that the original team is no longer there, may it be Shailendra or Satya or Shameel or anyone else. I tried to tarnish the image of many people, and now when I am working for a company which has very good people practices I realize that the actual fault lay with a few TL's and their Managers..the fault was not in the leadership... I am writing with the expectation that this will help rid me of my guilt that has been plaguing me for quite some time now...for records I wrote on this blog against Acorn as I was instigated to do so by a few ex employees...Sorry again.

This Company is indeed full of serpants and creeping creatures all disgusting. A Lady Renu Mazumdaar w/o Joydeep Majumdaar was made trainer (without IJP) and without any eligibility and she is conducting a batch of joiners from top BPO Companies. Her husband was involved in fraud in thames water process where he created wrong cases to meet target. He's still not sacked and now his wife . Who does not know how to speak English, how to work on excel sheets, calculate on basic Mathematics for billing profile; write business mails and also doesn't know how to use Software. Such kind of lady should be employed in housekeeping.
And the funniest part is -- She is training people! ;)
When the joiners asked her questions and she wasn't able to conduct a professional behavior, she ran out of her class. Then she called up someone (TL Amit) to threaten the batch and ask them to pack their bags and leave the Company. When the matter escalated to Operations manager Shailendra Bisht, he played smartly and saved her.
A fraud's wife and a Dumbo is a trainer without clearing IJP. This is what Steria is ! They are befooling Thames water Client ... No wonder this process will be back the way one went to HCL BPO.

Steria has always topped my wishlist of organizations to work with. I would always look for opportunities to grab a job and be a part of this prosperous company.

Anybody who goes through this thread can easily make out that employee dissatisfaction is at its peak here. Employees are full of anger and frustration almost about everything. Seems like management is just not concerned!

The ways that have been put here that gets you promoted, are ridiculous.
The food vendor issue is oh-so-pathetic.

All those who have written these filthy things on this blog, its a very humble request to please stop it. If you guys are so damn frustrated and still working here you are not being forced to stay here. You can go. By writing such dirty things you yourself will eat up this process and think about those people who are running there households because of this process.

Whatever names you all have quoted above, have you ever talked to them. They are the best people to work with its only a matter of understanding. And what all you guys are writing on this blog just shows the values which have been inculcated in you.

Agreed you all are not writing your names but after reading these things on your values, your upbringing and your family background atleast your inner self knows that its a question on you.

Please do not disgrace the process or the management involved in it. Acorn is the best and people working here are a gem.

I also have a request for all those who are just coming and posting the comments on the problems may be they have faced or may be they have just heard. Please if you have problem talk and sort it out and do not do this.

Acornite...I don't know who you are. But I know what you are talking is absolute nonsense. If u have issues go ahead and discuss. If you don't have the guts ...just shut up . You don't have the right to speak about any lady like that. If you have a family or mother or a sister (which i don't think you have) you wouldn't have done this. I also work here in acorn. I never gave parties to my seniors. Yet they speak good things about me and my work. My manager has always been an inspiration to me and motivated me to do good work. All things are being written and said about Shameel and Co. I just wanted to know whether this man has dared to come to floor and ask accornites what exactly is the problem and why people are writing in blog. All the supporters of Shameel and Co atleast if they are really concerned and advicing people who are frustrated, should atleast take the first hand and reach out to the people who are really pissed off by Shameel and Co. As one of the blogers has mentioned above that things that are being done by Shameel & Co. is a big "SHAM" is very true. He is really behaving like one of the politicians who is true to his core. Everybody knows how true to core are really the politicians are. Well i hope atleast all the followers of Shameel & Co. do put some words in his ears about these feeling of accornites. by the way i also really feel that when Amitabh was the leader of this process, this process was like heaven to work for. He doesnt mingle with people but he was really a gud leader. If i have to compare him with Shameel, Shameel has to do a lot of things before reaching the summit at which Amitabh left this company. Many respected people who have put in a lot of their time and experience and their heart out for the process have left the process just because of the bad environment which prevailed after Amitabh left and still prevailing. Hope somebody from the Shameel & Co.

Well Well Well.. I have been following this blog from quite a while... Lots of stuff has been said here by some very immature folks who are either frustrated with their own life or they are not happy with others... I am really disappointed with the kind of education that most of you have received & the way you have been brought up... I am unable to understand how you guys have even landed up in a professional world...

Do you guys really know what Acorn was & where it started? The person for whom you are making these allegations on has turned the face of Acorn in the last 3-4 years.. Let me just take you guys through the kind of initiatives that this guys has taken for company, process & his very own people...

>> Business Opportunities like RM, Sales Max, Optants, OBD, IBD, PMP & CMT to name a few..

& god knows so many other things for his own people...
He has helped people financially as well without expecting them to pay back...What else can you expect a person to do in such a short time? You should all check your facts before raising questions on anyone

If you guys are not happy with the process, please speak to him & I am sure he will certainly sort out all the issues for you.. You guys can report it to HR as well but surely this is not the way to take out your frustrations...

There has been questions raised about promotions well I know quite a few people in Acorn who have been promoted purely because of their performance, they don’t drink & don’t socialise with the management. I have seen them working hard day in & day out to make sure that process is performing & all of us get our salaries...

Well I can understand there can be few mistakes in promoting few people or recruiting people from outside which can happen in any big organisation like this but that does not mean that the whole system is bad...

I would request all of you to look at yourself in a mirror n I m sure that you will surely come up with some thing or the other that you have not done right... But the question is would you like this to be blown up in a forum like this.. All of us have some limitations & we all need to overcome that to become a better person... Can someone answer has anybody achieved anything out of this? The person who has started this might land up in Jail…..

This is a sincere request to all of you please stop throwing mud at each other & if there are some problems then please discuss them with your seniors & sort them out.. All of us have problems in our personal life but would you like to focus on finding the solutions or would you like to throw them in open forum & let people know about them... Please do not write filthy things about anyone(especially women)... I have worked with all the people mentioned in this blog but I don’t think it’s the leader's fault... A leader is as good as his team... & all of you are part of his team in one way or the other... So Please please please if there are any problems please highlight them in front of people who can solve them rather that wasting your time on this forum (I have also wasted my 30 mins on this one hoping that atleast someone will understand) Please behave like a mature individual & focus on making your careers within Steria or outside Steria...

Moreover, there is lot of resentment amongst the Acornites and the words what you have used, does show what kind of leadership Mr. Shameel and co. is giving to its workers. All those people who r writing in support of Mr. Shameel and Co. should and would know that merely writing on this blogs like stupid dogs without brains does not solve the problems of Acornites. Dogs can only bark and bite. For people who have suggested the frustrated victims to meet their manager, hahahahaha... Nice joke dear ones. When from the top to bottom u have same kind of thinking and actioning, u cant imagine to have things sorted for the betterment.

Whoever has written on this blog, please realise that you cannot write such absurd stuff about your colleagues and a lady. I have known all of them for long now and they are all beautiful peple.

The filthy things you have written here induces me to question your education and upbringing. All I would like to say to you is to go back and correct your basics and if you still have issues with the process or the organisation no one is stopping you to look for your ways out.

Shameel has modified Utilities business really well, be it employee engagement or business development there have been some very good transformations.

It is easy to write such bad & fallacious statements but not to forget that truth always stands tall.

Kya baat hai bha logon – tum to famous ho gaye ho.. Kya tareeka nikala hai apni frusteration nikalne ka! Arre bhai, kam se kam itna to socha hota ki what going to happen agar client ne yeh read kar ke dhanda band kar diya? arre bhai, preshani hai to HR ke paas jao, aise public main gandagi kyon phailate ho aur suna hai ki FIR bhi kar di hai senior management ne which means more trouble. Poori baat to nahin pata par managers kisi cybar cryme team se baat kar rahe the aur kisi kourt order ki.

I being an ex-xansaite, not ex-steria, do agree with all the people who have written about their frustrations, which had been creeping to the level, where it has spilled over from the pot and has come on the blog. I know Shameel from the days when he used to work in WNS as my friends were working there and are still. They had infact, without any provocation or arbitrary in nature, has revealed to me that this Guy, whom some people on this blog say that he has done that and done this (good things), is really a womaniser and helps out of the way those people who are in line of thought of his, just to make sure that everything falls within his line of interest. I atleast dont want to name anybody but, in front of me itself people who don't deserve to be TLs or just simply have mud in their above compartment are made responsible people. I think whatever Shameel has done is a sham to cover his weaknesses, which always take over him. Whosoever, praises him and his delegated members in his team, should know one thing, there is no smoke without fire and if there is fire, then these people should take care of that. As they have not taken care of the fire, people have out poured their views on blogs, as it is not possible that Shameel or his delegated team members are deaf and dumb, as if they dont know whats hapenning around them. If Shameel was a competent and true Leader, as being claimed by some writers in this blog, he would hv taken time and spoken to each Accornite individually and would have given heed to their problems. I think whosoever has got promoted to TL level have someway or the other compromised themselves, be it a man or woman, particularly woman, who r a weakness of Mr. Shameel. I would advice all the people who are really pissed this man and his delegated members, should make a forum where they can blast these people, irrespective of their positions. And lastly, for those people who say that "Your leaves and promotions are in our hand", if your hand is not their, where do u stand. I would urge people, who are getting these threats and ill treatment from the superiors, complaint about these things to the Labour Officer in Noida, who will really see as to what hands these people have. I would also urge other people to come and write on this blog and condemn these atrocities being done on people in Steria.

I left the company in 2010 on account of some personal commitments, after a 5 year service in Acorn. I am quite disappointed by the language used by some of the people on this blog – abuses againt a fellow woman who has a husband and probably a brother. I first want to ask that person how he or she would feel is someone wrote like this about their family. For that Sonal I am ashamed and ask you to forgive the person.
In 2007 when Shameel joined, there were 2 teams in Acorn. One CSP and the second Ajmal. CSP had his favourites and they were the ones who grew, Ajmal did nothing. There was widespread inefficiencies like people issues, bunking work, coming to work and going for long dinners etc. Shameel came and stopped all this. Introduced scorecards, made the IJP policy more transparent, made internal promotions compulsory through IJP’s, formed the PRG group, pushed the management to promote people (I heard from my friend in HR that Acorn has had the highest promotions amongst all accounts), organized R&R ceremonies, rewarded people for good work, bonus, incentives, parties….and this is what he gets in the end, abuses & curses. I appreciate what he did for the people as worked here for 5 years…he was the best that has ever happened to this process. Before him all we had was phase 3, after him came OBD, IBD, PMP, SM etc etc… so for that person who is saying that we lost business, maybe you need to check your facts.
My appeal to all those who have been writing on this blog – if you have a problem, approach Shameel and discuss with him directly, if not him, contact HR, if not that too write to the CEO. But don’t write things on a blog – understand that what you write will impact the business and may need to loss of jobs. I hope you also realize that this can be made into a police case and you may fall in trouble for writing stuff about sonal..so stop now..
also ask joydeep if he ever went with the management for drinks and you will know the answer...
and for thiose who have left the comapny, go in peace and let the other people do their job. I heard people say that ESAT was 7.8/10 so things are not that bad...

I am being neutral bcoz I never faced these things with me, Bt yes I have hrd whole lot of things abt pankaj and shameel wen I was in Steria, Pankaj I dont know bt shameel 4 sure is a THARKI:) And moreover Joy ke sath mera prsnal xperience b accha nahi rha hai so wat ever I will write it will look like I am bringing out my Khuunas so I would only say He is a biggest Manipulator. Again No comments 4 sonal, Bt chandan Same here... I would only like 2 say tht Yes they r biased n shud change coz ye sab karke thode bahut rewards hi mil payenge usse zyada kuch nahi agar heights tak pahuchna hai to down to earth aur genuine bano like CSP sir... CAN BE A TEAM LEADER WHO DON'T KNOW HOW TO PREPARE ANY SINGLE REPORT...AND ADVISE TEAM MEMBERS TO JUST UPDATE M I AND ANACOME WITH A FAKE (FURJI TOPIC NUMVBER ) WHAT U THINK HOW THESE KIND OF GUYS CAN GET APPRAISALS AND PROMOTION..

I also agree to the above stated complaints & issues.
There is always a hand of someone to promote all the illegal things. In case of Acorn- Thames Water there is only one Big Boss: Shameel Sharma. His hand is there to support what all is happening by TL's & Managers.
We all know at the time of Amitabh Singh, Acorn was the most powerful & the most revenue generating process for Steria. People luved to move into Acorn.
But after Shameel's joining no one has got growth as they deserved to be. Shameel's best way of promoting is, I'm a ladder to grwoth. Come to me & I'll promote you in my way. For guys it is always sutta, Daaru parties & night outs... & for Gals everyone knows what all he has done in the official trips & doing so far.
The best solution to all of the problems is remove Shameel from this position & try to get back Amitabh singh back if possible.

I fully agree to what ever has mentioned about Chandan and Joy. These people have eaten up this beautiful process. This was a lovely process i have ever worked in till the time Chandan was not AM. The dirty games played by them and by people above them made so many good employees to resign. They, no doubt, devote more of their time to office but ? I wish, they would have worked the way Sachin Massey and Ashu Bhasin worked for their process. Sachin and Ashu never showed that they are working for hours but they only believed in providing results and that too honestly, with out hurting any of the agents feelings. Beautiful process it was, i wish i could change the time and take it two three years back. These people have scrued every thing, every thing, every thing...

Its OK buddy. First, no-one asked you to join Steria and no body is compelling you to stick with the company. Its entirely your wish.

Nevertheless, the corruption never starts from the middle. It starts at the highest level and then flows down and whosoever comes in the way keeps on enjoying the flavour.

Be it any VP, SDL, Manager, AM or TL ... they are bound to follow the trend, else they will be succomed under this system. Also do not forget ... Client tere firangi hain ... jo hum indians par already 170 saal tak raaj kar chuke hain. If someone thinks that he/she making a fool out of his/her client. That person is befooling him/her self ... they are giving you business and they have the tally of each and every breath inhaled and exhaled by us.

First, doesn't matter how frustated you are never display the names of the tools (applications, softwares) you are using and the process under which you are working in-house, on any social website.

I have been working here for the past 4 years and whatever that you are saying has never been faced by me. You are using the word "we" - if you really have a problem then why have you not spoken to the head of the service.
