Steak 'n Shake service

Today Jan 20, 2019. I ordered food thru app I arrived and waited in the drive thru lane for 15 mins... I then went into the restaurant to pick up the food- another 20 mins my food was ready- by then it was cold and the milkshake was melted-I spoke to Marie the manager and she said we could come back another time and she would provide us dinners free- this was nice of her but I have had several like incidents at this port Charlotte location and I won't be returning there- I purchased these with a 25.00 gift card- would please send me a check for three meals and one shake and the remaining money on the card (and I will send it back to you) so I may go elsewhere to eat. In addition I keep hoping it will be cleaner inside the restaurant but it continues to be dirty. So I decided if it was that way again we would stop going- Thank you

Steak 'n Shake stacy.

Head manager. Is such a judgmental person and complains to her workers in the open infront of us customers and is very disrespectful and very unprofessional. She is not fit for her title and seems to be a down fall for her fellow employees. She needs to be taught how management is done and how to controle her store more professionally and in the right manner. Ive personally witness Stacy blame one of our workers Mercedes for another managers faults such as Mario. This is beyond ridiculous and it threatens other capabilities to perform there duties in fear of being blamed for others wrong doings. Full investigations need to be taken. If not handled i will personally come forth and expose the truth and admit to more then one account of the mistreatment of Stacey's use of her title. With proof and video recording. I just want a fair and the right corrections to be made b4 i am force to do so.

Steak 'n Shake hiring manager at clarksville tn location mike

My daughter age 16 went to 3 interviews at this location. The 1st time she showed up after being called by Mike was that he wasn't in. After arriving her scheduled time. 2nd time she showed up the very next day they couldn't find her application. She was sent home told to reapply again. She finally got called back again for a interview. Then was told she had the job. I helped her fill out the new hire paperwork. She started her first day and didnt have the right shirt and pants she was sent home and told to call back next Friday which is today to see when she should come in. After calling the hiring manager he told her she was still doing the interview process and because she showed up to work with the wrong uniform her 1st day that he gave someone else the job. I've never heard of someone being let go for not having right uniform on the 1st day. The manager told me she was still in the interviewing stage when she showed up with the wrong uniform. Well that's not true because the job was already offered to her and we filled out the new hire paperwork together so no she was not still auditioning for the role. I have emails and correspondence of all the times we contacted this guy who is very unprofessional should not be in charge of hiring anyone. She is completely scarred from this interaction as young teen just trying to save enough for a car. This is ridiculous not to mention the 3weeks we spent chasing this manager that never seemed to have anything together. After losing her application, then not being there for 2 set interviews that he personally setup to this final disaster. I need to hear from someone asap as I will be contacting my lawyer and the EEOC regarding the actions of your establishment and this hiring manager Mike. I would like a call back asap Mishaunda Fuqua [protected]. Thanks for your time.

Steak 'n Shake chili 5 way

I went in to my local steak n shake on big hollow road around 2:30 am. I ordered a Frisco metl, chili 5 way and a strawberry shake. When I got home to open my chili 5 way I found it was just noodles and old dry meat. It had no cheese no onions or any type of sauce. I was very dissatisfied with this order. I will attach a photo as I was unable to even eat it.

Steak 'n Shake cold food, dirty plates and cup

I ordered chicken nuggets and french fries for my son, as soon as I received it there was a stain of old ketchup on the plate, mentioned it to the waiter, he took it back and not even 1 minute later he brings me the SAME food on a new plate. I expressed to him that we didn't wanted it to which he responded: it's a brand new batch of food. But it was cold! My son ate from my plate. Later on I asked for a refill for my son's drink, the waiter brings us a dirty cup inside AND outside. We call him to show him, he responded: it's not me but I'll change it. He insisted that it was the kitchen bringing out everything dirty. My husband talked to the manager who was shaking his head throughout the conversation and ended up saying; yeah, you are not the first one with this complaint. Definitely not going back there to eat.

Steak 'n Shake wait staff and management

When i'm with my pregnant friend. As soon as we sat down the waitress was very rude for absolutely no reason. We asked he a question about the menu she didn't even acknowledge us just had a smerk on her face then was very rude and short answering our question. I can't explain how horrible she was treating us. Then when I asked for he manager they were all back there laughing and didn't want to do anything about it. So we left and didn't order anything. I never had such horrible customer service and for that waitress to be so rude for no reason blows my mind.

Steak 'n Shake horrible service!

My husband stops by the location on ulmerton road every monday.. Usually its a bit of a wait, but tonite is uncalled for as he is still waiting atvtge drive thru and its been over 30 minutes. The worst partvis that there was only one car in front of him! This is absolutely ridiculous and should not happen to regular well paying customers! Also when he pulled up to the window the associate just took his credit card and did not say a word to him. So rude.

Steak 'n Shake service

Me and my daughter was at steak n shake on Sunday January 13, 2919 at 2:30pm walked in 10 tables full of dirty dishes 4 tables of customers only 4 waitres's 15 minutes to get waited on took order after telling her 3x's what we wanted then 29 minutes later got half our food asked for our chili and backed beans got them they looked like a 2 year old served it more on outside of bowls than inside and cold plus was not baked beans tasted like just dumped out of can mean while table of 8 got up and left all tables still dirty then another table left than 5 teenagers came in set there never got waited on when we left there are talking about leaving I already quit going to the steak n shake in Belleville, il. Cause if there waitres's and cleanliness now I guess should just quit all but love ur food ur company apparently needs some help

Steak 'n Shake overall experience

I've been enjoying Steak n Shake for many years. I was so excited to learn we would be getting one in Smyrna TN. It seemed construction took way too many years but finally it was open. I gave it a few weeks because of the high traffic and for them to work out any service problems. My wife and I headed in for lunch to discover the service and food quality were not up to par, as compared to the many locations we've visited. It is 2 miles from my house and I don't know if we'll ever visit that location again. Very disappointing!

Steak 'n Shake steak n shake's incident report #: 1424326. your reply to this incident report was just not satisfactory to me.

TO: STEAK and SHAKE: Thank you for answering my complaint in a timely matter by telling me you are attempting to address my issue... However, it pains me that you never once said, you hope I give Steak and Shake ANOTHER try. This makes me feel like you do not care one way or the other if I come back as a customer or not. Your response is just a FORM LETTER to try and make me feel satisfied.

Myself and the rest of my party were IGNORED and could not get even a drink delivered to the table. One person was in severe HYPOGLYCEMIA and I made it clear to someone and asked for crackers and sweet tea...No one care enough to take my issue on my daughter serious.

Sad very SAD. Thanks for making me feel like a welcoming customer. If this keeps up with other people, you will never be able to stay in business.

Steak 'n Shake service

This is the fifth time I've stopped in the drive thru between 5 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. and I've seen people through their window they look but they don't ask to take my order and they just dance around and have fun and laugh and carry on meanwhile I wait 5 to 10 minutes and then I leave very disappointed every time. Another time I asked for a Frisco melt and the person taking my order said I don't want to make that s***.

Steak 'n Shake service at honer adams alton and web site

The Homer Adams location seated us and then serviced other tables after us and did not even acknowledge we were there. After waiting over 15 minutes and observing the waitress go to the table next to us and take their order and not even ask us for a drink order we left.

We are very dissatisfied with the service as it used to be very good at this location.

Steak 'n Shake online order

I placed an online order for next morning breakfast pick up. I paid for the order and walked from our hotel at the pick up time. I waited in line and they told me that they didn't make it because breakfast wasn't being served at the time I placed the order. My confirmation showed the 7 am pick up time and that it was paid for. As a result, I left with no food (that was paid for) and spent an additional $20 for a hotel breakfast for my 12 year old swimmer who had to be at the pool by 7:45. There was no time to wait for the food to be prepared, nor did I want to after being told that my prepaid order was thought to be a joke. I'm super disappointed with the entire experience.

Steak 'n Shake being waited on

Every time I go into the Steak and Shake in Richmond Indiana there are few customers, one or two waitresses and they will not wait on you. There was one waitress today and we had to seat ourselves, get our own menus and after ten or fifteen minutes were not waited on. We were the only customers that needed waited on. We left and went next door to a crowded IHOP. Every time we go to Steak and Shake the service is deplorable and the wait time is long. The food is delicious. The Richmond location is never busy due to this. With the right management they could have a booming business.

Steak 'n Shake service

The steak and shake in Cincinnati, oh on ridge ave has the worst service in the evening. I've been here several times on the weekend and they only have 1 server. It's been a different server but only 1 server. The dining room tables are always dirty, floor filthy and and customers are waiting to be seated. Tonight I actuary witnessed the waitress tell 2 guest customers that she couldn't take anymore customers because they would be waiting a long time to be served. So of course they left. She had 8 parties already and she was trying to serve them all by herself. I asked her where the manager was at and she said they left and walked away. There were 2 workers near the drink station just talking and not helping her do anything. She asked if they could help clean the tables off for her or get drinks but they said no and laughed at her. She went around cleaning and wiping off tables whilethe customers were sitting at the table. This was very unsanitary. I had to sit at my table kicking food around on the floor. My waitress then walked around and told every table that their check will be at the register. I turned and she was ringing customers out while still trying to serve other customers their food. This place should really be running better then this on the weekend. There are a lot of people that comes to this restaurant after the movies but some slowly walk away due you the slow business.

Steak 'n Shake poor service

we waited for 45 minutes to get our food there was 2 waitresses on duty on Friday at lunch rush hour people sat down after us received there food before ours we on a time schedule and only given a 1 hour lunch break I have eaten at this place for years and the last time I came it was so bad we just left I have eaten at steak n shake my whole life and I am 64 years old now I don't even want to go back this store needs new management or something

Steak 'n Shake terrible service and missing product

I went to the location at 9150 N. Main St. in Englewood, Ohio. It took the employees 8 minutes to even acknowledge that I am a human being waiting to do a carry out order. I ordered 2 very berry milkshakes and the women took my charged gift card and threw away my receipt then walked away without saying anything. She was handling money while cooking the food and she was wearing a pink flowy shirt that was touching the burgers while on the grill. She was also not wearing a hair net. There were a ridiculous amount of plastic wrappers underneath the grill that could have caught on fire! Also, a different worker had her little brother in the restaurant and allowed him to go behind the counter and grab a straw and cherries and again to throw something away. The same girl was eating French fries and on her phone during her shift. At this point I was in the restaurant for 25 minutes and a total of 7 people had walked in and left because no one sat them or even acknowledged their existence.
The woman in the pink shirt switched out with a boy who was wearing a sweatshirt with drawstrings and the strings were also going into peoples burgers! It was disgusting! Keep in mind I have now been waiting 30 minutes for 2 milkshakes. Other employees in the back were dropping the F bomb and other various curse words while there were a plethora of young children in the restaurant. Also, there were 8 tables within my direct line of sight that had not yet been cleaned off. Other people were in the restaurant before us and hadn't even been provided water yet. Lastly, after 45 minutes someone came up to me and said, "we don't have strawberry's would you like to try a different shake". At this point I just wanted to get my money back and leave before anything else happened. I took pictures and videos of this mess of a location if you would like me to provide them. Something needs to happen and I would like to be compensated in some way for this terrible visit!

Steak 'n Shake service

It was New Year's Day and I did not know if the steak and shake near me was open, so I called twice and they didn't answer. When I arrived at the open restaurant I wanted to try an experiment, so I called inside the restaurant to see if they'd answer and none of the staff members bothered to answer the phone. I believe this is wrong because customers should come first and many on call may have questions or concerns about their restaurant. As well as not answering my call(s) there were countless amounts of other times where the phone rang for minutes. The phone is near the counter where customers pay and it's rare that anyone is near that counter;therefore, I believe that is why nobody answers the phone and is also the reason why customers are waiting in line and start to complain. On top of all of this, I ordered a milkshake and it took twenty minutes for them to make a simple milkshake. Either there are not enough people on staff or people choose not to make the smaller orders until the bigger ones are done. I don't know which one is the problem but I advise you to make a wise solution because as I was in the store many other customers were complaining to the manager due to their poor service. I hope you take this complaint into consideration and try to improve the service of you restaurants.

Steak 'n Shake bread

I have issues eating bread and I always get your sourdough bread which is very easy for me to eat. The server was very kind and apologetic and told me it is a 75 cent up charge for that bread. I have never been charged extra for the bread. I eat at steak and shake regularly. Seems a bit much to me since I would get a bun anyway. I am currently in Sevierville Tn.

Steak 'n Shake service

I went to your location again at Fowler and 15th Street Tampa I stood at the counter along with other customers for approximately 10 minutes I then asked one of the cooks if anybody was working the counter he said he didn't know a gentleman walks up appeared to be the manager and very disgruntled asked me what I wanted to order I told him I wanted a chocolate shake he then asked me if I would mind waiting as it would be a while because they were very busy I understand it's a process but it's a chocolate shake I ended up walking out because this is the second time this has happened to me with the same gentleman the first time I went I waited 45 minutes for a burger and two Junior shakes and one regular Shake he told me that the food has to be cooked in a very sarcastic tone of voice I told him I didn't think it took 45 minutes to cook a burger and make 3 shakes in any case this is by far the worst Steak and Shake in Hillsborough County it really should be shut down it's a joke
