Steak 'n Shake watseka il location.

Several concerns I have from my experience today that I would like to address:
One crew member in the back working directly with the food had no hair net on, his hair at risk for falling into the food.
Timely in getting just drinks out. Had to wait 15 minutes for just our drinks, while our waitress stood where we could see talking to co-workers.
From past experience I remember the guideline for waitresses was no facial piercings and bras could not be seen through the uniform.
Workers hygiene, a waitress serving had poor hygiene practice, a smell of body odor lingered even after she left the table.
When this location first opened, it was a very well off establishment and over the last year and half it has gone down hill. Would love to see it how it was years ago.

Steak 'n Shake customer service

I walked in and I waited nobody greeted me nobody even look my way so I decided to go up to the counter nobody said anything so I moved to the other side of the counter and all I heard was bickering among employees a lot of arguing going on but still nobody looked my way not even the waitresses on the floor a young man walked in nobody greeted him either so he stood there and I finally said nobody has waited on me or even said hello he said nobody waited on you? I said no so then he said excuse me excuse me and the person he was trying to talk to or get her attention didn't even look his way and that note I said well good luck but I'm taking my business elsewhere and I walked out and went to Kentucky Fried Chicken I find it very distasteful and very sad these employees and management need to be retrained on how properly to greet their customers and to be attentive to their customers The Waitresses seem very stressed out and the cooks and management we're just arguing too much I hope somebody from upper management and corporate can get a hold of the store and retrain their employees I'm very disappointed I won't go back there again my husband loves Steak and Shake but he won't go there once I tell him how bad customer service is there, that's a darn shame. They made me feel really bad like I didn't even exist..

Steak 'n Shake steak ‘n shake hermitage tn

After a lovely Sunday afternoon drive we took our pregnant daughter-in-love and little granddaughter to Steak n Shake in Hermitage TN. The place was about 1/3 full which we found odd as every other Steak n Shake we had ever been to were always filled. We had to wait a few minutes to be seated as there seemed to be only one tiny waitress waiting on all the tables plus doing hostess job. There didn't seem to be a lot of staff and no one was even attempting a smile except the 1 little waitress. She seated us and took our order in a friendly efficient style. The cook (I think) was constantly angrily yelling at her to pick up or do something. Very rude. We waited a long time (keep in mind we were all starving - 1 was pregnant and one was 21 months old). Finally we see a yong male waiter come with a very angry look and manner. He started waiting on a few tables. After an unreasonably long time my husband finally got up and asked about our order. The angry young man came to our table and wanted to take our orders again. He kept sending vicious looks in the direction of the overworked waitress and the cooks. The waitress then came over and kindly told him it was alright that she had everything. He questioned her several times then with a final dirty look at her, left. Within about 2 minutes our order came. Everything was fine except for my BLT. The cook must have thought it a good idea to put ranch dressing on my BLT instead of mayonnaise. He was wrong. It was uneatable. Gave it to my husband who will eat anything and even he didn't care for it. I dislike ordering something and getting something totally different. Don't mess with the tried and true. After paying and leaving we all agreed that we would never go back there again. We'll stick to our Steak n Shake in Murfreesboro. The one in Hermitage was dirty, poorly staffed and emanated angry tension.

Steak 'n Shake steak and shake, stratford road, winston-salem, nc

Dear Sirs,

My wife, 26 year old son, and I visited your Stratford Rd. location, Sunday
March 4, 2018 @ 4:30Pm. The dining floor had food and paper throughout
the store, approximately 7 tables were not bussed. There were not enough
staff on the floor but there were six people in the kitchen. We waited 4 minutes before we were able to ask a waitress in another zone to get our
waitress. Our waitress was friendly and polite but was obviously overworked.
She was wearing a window order headset and moved between the cash register checking out customers and waiting on us. We are very conscious
about food safety and we did not see our waitress wash her hands between
handling money and performing her waitress duties.

This store's kitchen is open to view from the check-out counter. The view was not good. Buns and french fries were all over the floor. Staff wore hair
nets, which was good but the cooks were talking and laughing. It appeared to me that they were not focused on the job which explained to me why our
meal was disappointing.

My wife and I ordered burgers with fries. The burgers were good but the majority of the fries on our plates were 1" long. My son ordered the chicken strips. He had three chicken strips on his plate. We ordered one cookies and cream milk shake. It should have been named "cookie dust and cream milkshake. I ordered a chocolate milkshake, but it needed more mixing. My wife ordered a hot fudge sunday. The ice cream in the sunday was crystalized indicating the ice cream had most likely been melted and refrozen or was bad for some other reason. There was very little fudge on the sunday. My wife left 3/4 of the sunday uneaten. Our waitress was so busy that she didn't notice and did not ask my wife what was wrong with the sunday that she didn't eat it.

I went to pay the bill and the customer in front of me was complaining that
she had not been waited on after waiting for 15 minutes. The man at the
register did not as me if my meal was okay. It was poingnant moment as the "Satisfaction Guaranteed" sign was clearly visible behind him on the wall.

We will not return to this store again which is very sad because we like
Steak and Shake. I would like to repeat that the burgers were done well
but everything else was substandard.

We don't want a complementary meal or refund of any kind. We do want you to know that you have a serious problem at this store. My wife works in this area and has noticed that the parking lot looks empty during the lunch hours. Stratford Road is a busy street and the other restaurants on the road are packed during lunch.

Steak 'n Shake terrible food/inflated prices

We ate at Steak and Shake at the Ole Miss Pavilion in Oxford MS last night and had the worst steak burger we have ever eaten. It made both of us sick. We love Steak and Shake but the food served last night was nothing like what a Steak and Shake burger should be like. The meat had a funny taste (my husband said it taste like it was cooked in grease from the previous basketball game), they apparently made it up 2 hours prior because the lettuce was wet and already turning black. We asked for a dressed burger but only got a bun, meat, cheese and pickles with about 1/4 slice of tomato and the black lettuce wrapped in foil. We pulled the lettuce off but it still made us sick. The servers were very busy but rude. I can't believe Steak and Shake would allow their name to be attached to this mess being served in Oxford Ms. The prices were more than doubled also ($9.00 for original double and cheese and fries instead of $3.99). I understand the prices are higher at sports venues but this is ridiculous! Why not put in a "regular" Steak and Shake and hire real cooks and waitresses? I promise you would have good business including ours but I will never eat at the present location again.

Steak 'n Shake carry out/ horrible wait

I ordered online and had pre paid for my food. I ended up having to wait over an hour for my carry out order. When I finally got the opportunity to speak with someone they had no record of my order and I'm assuming made it right then. This was incredibly frustrating and had I not pre paid I would have left and gotten food elsewhere. I don't believe I was ordering during a dinner rush. It was 7:30pm on a Sunday night! I'm incredibly disappointed and would like to be reimbursed for my food. Thank you.

Steak 'n Shake bad service and the place is dirty

Me and my family had waited for more then 40 min to get our food and they're not that busy, was only 4 tables including mine, there short staff and the place is dirty, trash on the floor and under the tables, tables need it to be cleaned, it was a big mess in general all employees just don't know what they doing sad thing is few customers walk out without paying there bill's

Steak 'n Shake drive through

I just went through steak and shake Hendersonville TN drive through and ordered a number 17 with cheese plain and spent $5. I get to work and find that it is in fact not plain. I am allergic to the toppings and now wasted $5 and don't have lunch. I cannot eat, pickles, tomato, or lettuce and all of which were on the sand which. I asked at the window if the food was plain and she said yes.

Steak 'n Shake hours of the restaurant

This store is supposed to be a 24 hour restaurant, but clearly is not. It says clearly online and all over the windows it is a 24 hour restaurant. Every single night it closes around 11, if you don't have enough staff don't claim you're something you're not and make somebody do a drive for absolutely nothing, please fix this! It's the Florence KY store.

Steak 'n Shake slow service, didn't make food correctly

My family and I went to Steak & Shake in Auburn, IN. We waited in line for at least 35 minutes. Once we got to the window to pay & get our food, the shakes that we ordered were completely melted & mind you still served to us. As we looked at shakes we pulled into a parking spot and went inside to ask for new shakes. They did remake our shakes however it took another 15 minutes for them to remake them. Once home and actually able to eat our food, my sandwich was made incorrectly (mushroom & swiss meal).There was no swiss cheese on it or any mushrooms just some burnt onions. My family & I used to enjoy going to steak & shake but after tonights service I doubt we will ever go back.

Steak 'n Shake service

I want to make you aware of an issue at Steak and Shake located at 1460 Jungermann Road Saint Peter's, MO. Sat in dining room for over a half an hour after ordering my breakfast. After 35 minutes the waitress comes over and tells me that they cannot make my breakfast because of the DriveThru being so busy. So I walked out drove by the drivethru and there was not a single car in the drive thru. Funny a I was sitting where I could see the drive thru and saw maybe 1 car go thru the entire time. I do not appreciate being lied to. Called after I left to speak with a Manager and was told no manager was on duty. I would hope Steak and Shake handles their customers better going forward. This was a ridiculous experience. I will NEVER return to this location due to this. I would hope something is done about this so it does not happen to any other customers going forward. And I was not the only one whom was given this lame excuse of the drive thru being too busy. I would like a response in regards to this immediately.

Steak 'n Shake prime truffle steak burger

my wife and I are both on disability, so on our payday we go out for our one meal out for the month. I thought I would splurge and try the Prime Truffle Steakburger. after the server toopk the order, she came back and informed me they were out of mushrooms, and I would have to choose something else. my wife drinks iced tea with lemons, the server brought out 4 shriveled up quarters and said these were the last ones they had, and they were out of cole slaw. we asked about senior discount, and were told they don't have one, even though last month we got one there. we will be finding somewhere else for our monthly treat. this was at your store in Portage Indiana. on a previous visit, we entered the store (I walk with a cane, and my wife who is on oxygen, uses a walker) we stood there for 15 minutes (YES I times it) be fore leaving and headed to Culvers . We ran into another couple who left for the same reason.

Steak 'n Shake milkshake

So I ordered a birthday cake milkshake and first was brought a chocplate one with sprinkles on top. Then afterwards my second one which was suppose to be right was a banana one with sprinkles on top. I didn't bother to ask for another one as seeing what happened with th e first two. But I am really dissappointed because I always lol forward to coming here for the milkshakes.

Steak 'n Shake extremely slow service

The Steak and Shake on Morse Crossing at Easton consistently takes well over 45 minutes to make shakes when going through the drivethru. I'm dumb enough to try and go back there every few months, but I just don't believe that it can possibly take so long to make a couple shakes.

The most recent severely slow service incident was today, 02/28/2018. The order was placed at 7:55.

I don't wish for a refund, I just want this store to stop being so incredibly slow so that I can get a shake in a reasonable amount of time.

They also gave me no receipt.

Steak 'n Shake opening/closing

This location lately has been closing every night at midnight and opening back up at 7 in the morning. So when I get off work at 3 in the morning. I have went there three different times. I thought the first time there might have just been closed because issues causing them to close for the night. They had a handwritten sign next to the open 24 hours sign. Stating there hours. I don't know why they are closing now but if they are not going to open 24 hours. I would appreciate them changing the signs. Why are they closing? And why are they not giving reasons for the closing

Steak 'n Shake taco salad

i just purchased what was supposed to be a taco salad from steak n shake. I dont know if a new employee made it or what, but they clearly didn't know how to make one. It was covered with shredded carrots, and crutons (my teeth don't allow crutons in my diet) The bowl was filled with huge leafy inedible pieces of lettuce (the entire shape and size of a full head of lettuce, the part most people throw away) and the extra ranch i paid for was mayonnaise (as well as the "ranch" that came with the salad) so the $6 beef taco salad i paid for was basically a glorified side salad.

Steak 'n Shake horrible service @ ft. lauderdale international/ terminal 3

To whom it may concern I was very dissatisfied with the service at Fort Lauderdale International Steak and Shake Terminal 3. I went on vacation for my birthday to the Bahamas and when I got back to the airport to return home I decided to get something to eat, to my surprise there was a steak and shake there. I'm not really aware of the food but I love the shakes so I decided to give the food a try. My boyfriend and I ordered an original double cheeseburger with french fries a signature steak burger with french fries and a Pepsi. I received an original double cheeseburger a steak burger with fries and a Pepsi. As I waited for my food I went to get my Pepsi, but to my surprise there was no ice. I went back to the counter and told the cashier that there was no ice and she looked at me crazy. She then told one of her co-workers that was walking by and looked back at me and said okay. It took 10 minutes for them to fill the machine with ice. When I got the ice I got my Pepsi. My food was also ready so I picked that up also. We found a table to eat and set down. I opened the bag and I'm missing a fry so I go back to the counter to tell the cook. He laughs and jokes with me as if it's funny that I paid for something that I didn't get and tells me maybe I dropped it. I don't think it's funny at all! He then gives me my other order of fries, and I returned to the table. I take a sip of my Pepsi and it's nothing but syrup. There is no acidity! I take the Pepsi to the counter and tell the cashier there is no CO2 in the Pepsi. Again, she looks at me crazy and says okay and proceeds to tell someone. After about 5 minutes she tells me try it again. I tried it again and the Pepsi has CO2 it's fine it's no longer syrup. I have never been to a restaurant that I've had this many problems with. I understand it's in the airport and it's extremely busy all day but there is no excuse for this nonsense. I spent $16 .85 and I felt like I threw my money in the toilet and flushed it. I was very disappointed and dissatisfied with a service at this particular Steak and Shake something needs to change. My final conclusion was not to return to this location and to steer clear of the fries. The burger tasted excellent although it was too big for the bun it was on, and the fries were overcooked and taste it like hard little wood sticks. This is very disappointing for a traveler who doesn't have many options. Please fix this.

Steak 'n Shake customer service

This was our go to about once a week either breakfast or dinner... On the weekends we knew better than to dark the door because it is the hang out for the tulsa teenagers on this side of town (south)... Knowing we wouldn't get a chance to make an order... And it be correct. They had a rubber like chicken sandwich... Which we learned the hard way about. But really other than that it was an alright atmosphere. Very cute decor... It is sad to say our sole restaurant closed down and we didn't get any notification. Just a closed sign...

Steak 'n Shake poor service

Just got up from the Steak N Shake in Oakwood Ga for we sat there a good 8-10 minutes. No one came over to take out drink order or even acknowledged that we were sitting there. Servers walking all around us and not a one stoped to help us. Got up and left and no one seemed like they cared that we were leaving. Very poor service. I am sure I will not get a resoonse back but just getting this off my chest feels better. Will be a very long time before I return.

Steak 'n Shake wait staff attitude

We went to steak and shake in Lubbock tx on February 24th and waited to be seated. The waitress placed menus on a table that people had just got up from. My husband asked her if she would get a broom for all the mess under the table. She proceeded to walk off and said very loudly "oh my gosh". Apparently it put her out that she would have to clean up the mess. We will probably never go to this restaurant again which is a shame because before this we really liked going there.
