My two little sisters didn't even get their food, as if they never ordered or didn't hear anyone order for them. My dad's speghetti was super watered to where he had to pour the "juice into another plate to eat, and my order wasn't at all what I had ordered. I'd try to catch our waiter to tell him about my order, but he would leave immediately after hearing one certain problem.

I love your business and the people that run it but recently you discontinued the blackberry chocolate chip shake and I'm devastated. It's the only shake I like at steak and shake and I would really love to see it back. I know it was a popular and well liked flavor and not just by myself. Please please bring it back! I am a lot more sad than I should reasonably be.

This one steak n shake had too long of a wait in the drive thru. I had to wait half an hour for my food. The line barely moved and I was very late for work. I could hear complaints even from the cars in front of me. I get a sign says "quality takes time, " but this wad the worst wait I've done with their drive thru and I probably will never go to this specific steak n shake. It's a shame because I love their food. Please fix this drive thru wait time.

We went to Steak n Shake at 12 am and I saw two employees inside. We drove to the drive through and no one would answer. I called the number several times and no one would answer. This isn't the first time this has happened. Steak n Shake has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. We drove out of our way to get to this place just to get ignored.

My boyfriend, friend and I went to our local steak n shake that we're regulars at on Thursday night. We were greeted by the manager on duty, who was on his cell phone. He continued to take our order and give us our drinks while still on the phone. After he hung up he sat at the bar and continued to fiddle around on his phone. We sat for a good 15 minutes without a refill or any recognition from him, so I had to call him over for a refill, which afterwards, he ended up at the bar again, playing with his phone...again. All in all, a manager should be setting a better example for his staff and I find this unacceptable.

Recently, I have been to your establishments as I have been for several years of my life. But recently, I see that the Cheddar Cheesy burger has been removed from the menus. I was wondering if it was at all possible for your services to make the burger available so I can enjoy it again. I thank you for your services and quality food that my family and friends and I can enjoy.

Ordered 2 eggs over easy hasbrown, sausage and toast. What i got was 2 under cooked over easy eggs. A hasbrown paper thin and burnt. I reordered an got 2 scrambled eggs this time. I still got a over cooked hasbrown that was again burnt and unbeatable. An the cook war on his cell phone while trying to cook. The manger was working the pass plating the food and did not say anything to him or about the underportioned, burnt food that i was served.

I was ordering a Frisco Melt in the drive thru after a long day. All I wanted was to eat a Frisco Melt because that is my favorite food. I also ordered fries. After paying and getting my food, I drove away eating my fries. After I was about 10 minutes away, I went to pull out my Frisco Melt and realized I had actually been given a hamburger. It was honestly so upsetting because it was too late to turn around but I didn't even want the burger.

I stopped at the Steak n Shake before clocking into work at 8:15pm. I received my receipt at 7:44pm. I had two separate orders because I wanted mine separate from the family since we're going separate ways. We get the food and I pull in the drive way to drop off the food and mines is gone. It's 8:01pm and my job is around the corner but I have to double back and grab my missing order (number19). I go in the inside this time and the same lady from earlier took my receipt to make it over. 15minutes go by and I'm getting impatient because I'm now late for work. When she notice I was still waiting she told the cook to make the order that I assumed was already in the process. I appreciate the large fries but I'm now punching in to work at 8:57pm and all I wanted was a meal before work. Bad experience for me and it really made my day worse than personal matters im already dealing with. Thanks for reading I hope this gets to the right person so this won't happen to anyone else.

This Steak n shake is like a circus at night, or maybe a night club. People coming in going behind counter that are not employees. Waited on meal for 30 minutes then ordered a shake and when we got them, they were melted. Don't want a free meal just want someone to know how their store is being handled. This store has turned to a hang out with more customers than what appears to equal sales.

We were never given silverwear. We wait 15 minutes for drinks. Our waitress decided to stand next to us and draw attention to herself saying OMG this is disgusting while cleaning the table beside us while we were trying to eat. She was chatting about us and pointing to the cashier. She was mad because we asked for separate checks to split food and shakes

Your southport crossing location has always been talked about in the surrounding community as quite the [censor] show. It was thought that it was only the poor service, or the quality of their food, but it seems they also aren't keen on refunding money to customers whom they've misscharged. Now before you think i'm just an [censor] who didn't like his meal. I loved it! What I didn't love was the extra charges you added to my card. Extra charges that totaled more than my first bill! Yes I was charged for a meal that I never received nor given the option to receive it and just say whatever I have more steak 'n shake. After asking to speak with a manager I was told to call corporate. After calling corporate I was told they couldn't do anything besides give me another number that called the same hotline I was already on. I'm done with this run around your company is trying to put me through, and i'll be pursuing legal matters.

We (my family and friends) love the food from Steak n Shake and we normally have pleasant experiences except at two different times specifically from that one location. First incident happened about couple weekends ago at Montford of Dallas, TX… I don’t remember the exact date now, I overheard a conversation (they were talking too loud) from a group of servers hanging out near the kitchen area using foul language and discriminatory comments against one particular server. It sort of bothered me with their type of language against their coworker because she seemed to be such a nice lady so I mentioned it to somebody who was in charge of that place, hoping they would resolve any negativity. On August 26th, I went in with my friends to eat at that same place and we were appalled of what we saw! There were screaming and yelling against that poor coworker, the same person they were talking bad things about, in front of everyone and we literally lost our appetite! I felt so bad watching the whole incident and it was clearly she was confused from the sudden outburst and very upset, and she seems such a nice and hardworking Asian lady. I don’t know if that crazy lady had hormones acting up but that is not an excuse to mistreat with your malicious words and actions at your coworker or anybody at your workplace. No decent human being deserves that! We were all just appaled and the rest of us couldn’t finish the food so we left. Customers want to come and dine in at a pleasant stress-free environment and enjoy their delicious food!

I only order the Jamaican jerk burger at steak n shake and now for some unknown reason I can't order it anymore. I don't like to drink shakes or eat anything else on steak n shakes menu except the Jamaican jerk burger, so now that it is gone for who knows how long, I have no reason to choose steak n shake as my place of Zen. Now it's just a harsh reminder that I can't buy a uniquely made, perfectly cooked burger with jamaican jerk sauce, served with flame broiled onions that just makes your mouth water. I really need this burger to be put on the menu again so I can come back and spend money at steak n shake! Please and thank you!

The waitress we had was very loopy and out of it, we are pretty sure she was on drugs or something. I think she forgot about us because it took forever for her to take or order. She is making most customers feel uncomfortable. Her name is Ashley G and the location is on College Avenue. Along with acting very strange she often just sat down at the counter ignoring everyone in the place.

For several months my fiance and I visit your Englewood, OH location to little satisfaction. in fact, there is much talk on our community facebook page regarding the terrible service at this location. Three times in these past 6 months we have gone through the drive through, watched a person wait at the speaker for 15min and drove away. sometimes even multiple cars in front of us drive off.
All of the waitresses seem to barely care if you're there. We just visited tonight and wait to be sat. A waitress walked past us several times before a drive thru operator sat us.
I tried to use the restroom but was appalled by the smell and state of the restrooms.
Every table in the building had crusted food, flies all over them, and no one seemed to be trying to clean, except for the drive thru operator, who seemed to be running everything. seating people, running drinks, cooking food, making shakes, and serving the drive thru.
We decided to get our food to go, and saw trash overflowing the can, food and trash all over the floor, food being places directly on surfaces that I would imagine aren't very clean. Our waitress didn't look at us when she spoke, and seemed to be completely disengaged.

My husband and I went to Steak n Shake in Tampa, Florida on South Dale Mabry. We have been going to this spot for about 20 years. We drive up to the drive thru window to place our order. We proceed to tell the girl we have a coupon for a meal deal, then proceed to tell her what items we want on the meal deal. She was the rudest most hateful person you will ever incounter. She must have not known what a meal deal was because every time my husband said the word 'meal deal' she said rudely, 'I know you want a meal deal, SIR, what do you want to order'. Very rude and ugly. 'I know you want a meal deal, SIR, what do you want to eat'. We pulled around to the window to show her our coupon, she takes it, does not say a word, gets the manager who has to take our order. She never said a word to us. Wow just a little crazy episode for me to even complain.

My family and I went to Steak n Shake in Jackson Tn on August 25th 2017.
1st- When we walked in we waited about 10 mins before anybody seated us and it was the manager. One of the girls had this very pouty look on her face and would not acknowledge us. So the manager took our orders. Then as we sat there and our drinks was finally brought to us about 10 mins later we never got any more service after that. People came in and went and they got their orders but we never received ours. After almost an hour and a half we never got our food so we asked for the Check and told the young lady that we never got our food and was only paying for the drinks. She went looking for our receipt and never found it and did not charge us for drinks. We will NEVER return to your restaurants if this is how they are run. I've had our food to be late but NEVER ever have we ever not gotten our food at others places. If this is how you run all of your restaurants then I do not know how you stay in business. Most of the waiters and waitresses was not friendly and acted like they did not want to be there. We definitely be spreading the word to our family and friends about our experience and suggesting not to patronize your stores. Until things change. Thankfully Wendy's shared a parking lot with your parking lot. They gained our money and your restaurant did not. I'm not a suejng person but this could be worth a lawsuit.

2 girls working drive thru at Galesburg Illinois restaurant were laughing & obviously saying something about me as they kept glaring at me & laughing then looking back at me..My order was repeated twice & as I get home BOTH my orders are wrong..Store manager wasn't any better, as I called & he offered no compensation & was very Rude! HORRIBLE customer service! I frequent this, place quite often & to be treated rudely is unacceptable! I would like to hear back from corporate since I can't seem to get any help from local store manager

This is coming from a employee from the Steak 'n Shake franchise. I work at the Steak 'n Shake in schereville, Indiana. The manager Eric is racist and ignorant. Many of the workers are racist as well. Managers pick sections by their favorite coworkers. They don't pay us enough to treat us the way they do. Over night staff here is ridculous, they do whatever they want and no one cares.
